Cinnamon Indian Restaurant in Elmbridge

Ordered early at 5.30 when they opened. I have been eating Indian food for years. This food was horrible and had obviously been cooked earlier in the day. We will definitely not order again.

Lovely food as it always is. Enough left to have tomorrow. The only is was that the bottle of drink wasn't delivered so I had to call the restaurant and they sent another driver straight away.

We ordered a takeaway for collection early on Saturday evening and were told that it would be ready in 35 minutes. Went to collect at allotted time but it wasn’t ready. Kept being told 5 minutes but in the end it was another 35 minutes. I would rather have been told that it would be more than an hour when I ordered rather then hanging around for so long. That being said, the food was delicious and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal even if it was later than expected.

Last night two mates and I had a very pleasant evening at the Cinnamon. Staff were friendly but unobtrusive and our meals were perfect. Normally I’d have the chicken madras but on recommendation I opted for the garlic chilli chicken. Lovely. We shall be back, thank you.

If you dine in the service will be brilliant and the food will taste amazing. At the end you get a free hot towel that basically feels like a face mask. Also, when the bill comes you get free chocolate by the way if you want a later dinner that fulls you up this is for you and its a little cheaper than the other ones.

Our go to place in Hersham for a takeaway over the past 3 years. Have always found the food to be excellent. Great deal of flavour in the different dishes. Can't fault the quality. Thank you.

I moved to the area recently and as you do, you try out all the takeaways to find your new favourite. Well this place is not only cheaper than most, you get more meat in your curry than I've ever had before. I had a small problem last time and they went above and beyond to sort it out. I honestly wouldn't go anywhere else again.

The Chicken in my curry was stringy and very chewy. I did not eat it. I complained and was told it is the way they cook it. Dreadful. I Also ordered fried and the oil they were cooked in needed changing. Could not eat them either. They charged full price. We paid. Waste of money. Would not recommend

We've been twice recently and both times had a really good meal. Took a friend last time who loves a curry. She'd never been before but will definitely be going again.

I've had good and bad food here. The first time was amazing food but the second time it was watery and tasteless.... tasted like a ready meal that had been re-heated.

Took my friend out to celebrate her birthday booked table for the two of us. Was greeted on arrival. Service was prompt. I had Chefs special mixed tandoori which was lovely tasty and meat was cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

This sounds small but the last two orders we’ve had anything with paneer there’s been almost nothing in the dish. This time we had a mutter paneer and there were 4 small bits of paneer. They are not usually stingy on meat so this doesn’t make sense.

The food is great but the service when I phoned the restaurant was terrible. Person who answered the phone was unintelligible and not helpful. Food turned up 1 hour after stated delivery time.

We pre-ordered before the restaurant opened which was probably where we went wrong. Should have put in an order later and it would probably have arrived sooner. The weather is very arctic at the moment so the food wasn't hot when it arrived. Very tasty though.

I love their curries. The ingredients are so fresh and tasty. Will definitely keep ordering from them.

Not ordered a takeaway from this restaurant before but the food quality and spices used were absolutely delicious. We ordered 2 starters and 2 mains plus rice- nothing was disappointing - quite the opposite. The food was very tasty, arrived promptly and was piping hot as well, which is unusual. Thank you for excellent service too. This was a takeaway not a restaurant dining experience, but maybe one day will pop in.

The food is great however we placed our order as a pre-order before the restaurant opened with a delivery time request of 6.30pm. After the restaurant opened the delivery time was confirmed but kept being moved back. As it was a pre-order this shouldn't have been an issue.

Had takeaway cost 85 pounds absolute rubbish King Prawn Curry was made with prawn puree Cold Narm bread Saga Lou potatoes burnt Don't waste time or money

Why is it when a restaurant delivers food late they can’t seem to take responsibility and apologise for the food being late. I contacted restaurant to find out where my food was at it was late and their response was ‘He’s on his way will be a couple of minutes’ no sorry sir, or apologies, nothing. Manners doesn’t cost anything. Food was ok but customer service was awful.

A really good, clean restaurant that serves great food from a very wide and varied menu. However, while the mains and sundry items are very competitively priced, the cost of wine here is extremely high and comparable to central London prices. Why do so many small local restaurants like this charge such extortionate prices for a standard bottle of wine? We’ll forego the wine next time and just have a beer or soft drink. Shame!

Ordered jalfrezi, the chicken was so dry and they forgot to put any spices or chillis in adding to this hardly any sauce. The Nan tasted floury. The onion bahji had very little spice. The only saving grace to our order was, the chicken korma tasted good but was tepid . On the whole very disappointed.

This restaurant took over 2 hours to deliver my food. After ringing them 3 times, the restaurant offered no apology for being so late and the man actually had an attitude problem. Don’t order from this restaurant if you want food within a reasonable time!!

The food has plenty of flavour but the portions are very small. Plenty of sauce but the lack of meat does make it quite poor value. I’d put it as good rather than average.

We've been buying periodically takeaways through lockdown in the hope this restaurant survives lockdown. Can't wait to go back for an eat-in experience. Always tasty and enjoyable.

We ordered 2 chicken tikka masala both was very dry even with the tikka sauce smothered all over it, king prawn wasn’t cooked fully also the popadom dip u get was hot when supposed to be cold overall it cost a lot of money for very basic food :(

I have eaten several times at the restaurant with great pleasure. This time I ordered a takeaway Madras curry with pilau rice and a sag bhaji, and found the three, although very wholesome, rather bland. I shall have to go back and dine on the spot, while one is still allowed to.

The food was overly sweet and the portion was much smaller than last time. It didnt taste good.

Excellent restaurant with delicious food. Apart from the traditional Indian dishes, they do many unusual dishes - all of which you really must try! Hope the lockdown is over soon so can get back there (they've unfortunately had to close take-away at the moment).

I phoned to order a delivered take away. I was asked to hold on for a minute. Plenty of conversations in the background. Phones being answered. Over FIVE minutes later I hung up so I can't rate the food because I didn't get any. There are other Indian take aways so I won't starve.

I really like this restaurant. Admittedly I use it more for take away but the food is consistently good with an interesting menu and the staff are very friendly. Often during the week it’s quite quiet but maybe everyone is like me and picking up a takeaway.

We have been here a few times. The food used to be really tasty. However, it seems to have gone a bit downhill recently. I would recommend the samosas & the tandoori, but the madras used to be better. The staff are pleasant and the restaurant inside is alright.

Saturday night could not be bothered to cook nothing on tele so not a take away lets go out we walked to the Cinnamon 10 mins away we have eaten there before 7.00 pm got a table with no problem staff very attentive ordered the usual not to adventurous but up to there normal good standard prawn puri to start main lamb dupiaza sides plain nan,mushroom rice and onion bhaji and a tiger beer sorted! wife had chicken Bhuna and shared the nan bhaji and rice she had a g+t all very nice. Like the little cinnamon logo on the plates nice touch very reasonable prices we will defiantly come again do join us.

Very nice ambience and good service. Not the cheapest around but still good value. Was worried as failed hygiene inspection a couple of years ago but new management has made a world of difference. No concerns now. Would recommend.

We were told that brick road was the spot to grab some of the best curry in London and boy was I wrong. No spice or depth of flavor and the service was very poor. I ate the food but I won’t be back.

We haven’t eaten in the restaurant but we have had numerous takeaways. The food is lovely, delivery is always quick. Great taste, good choice on the menu and tastes fresh. Would definitely recommend!!
