You get what you pay for here. It's a meal out but pretty poor really. The restraint is on the grubby by side. Walls inside do not inspire you as to the kitchen area. The floors around the perimeter look unkempt. Borderline as to me visiting again

This is a well established and nicely decorated restaurant. They have no alcohol licence however, so bring a bottle. The staff were polite and the food was well presented, but unfortunately completely tasteless. There were 5 of us in our party and all said the same. It was as if they had run out of spice! Quite serious for an Indian restaurant.

We had a take away from here. The chicken curry was literally just sauce. We could only find two small pieces of chicken in each. They must have used one chicken break between the three chicken curry dishes we ordered! I also question the whole half price for cash business…is this legal?? I’m going to contact HMRC to find out! The menu prices are so inflated that the ‘half price’ makes it work out the same as most other take aways anyway. Don’t eat here…it’s a complete rip off.

Best restaurant EVER. The food was so flavourful, we tried quite a few dishes, all made fresh, and we were served so quickly. Their customer service is so good, I’ve seen a review here about the staff being rude, but that hasn’t been the case AT ALL. 5⭐️ for everything I’d definitely recommend it and will definitely be going back again for more! A big thank you to the team at viceroy for taking care of us.

Very clean and nice restaurant area, staff are attentive and very polite. We were the only people in on a late Monday evening but the atmosphere was still top. We ordered loads! Sag paneer, vindaloo, rice's, lamb narag, poppadoms, king prawn puree, chicken tikka biriyani, cheese naan. You can bring your alcohol so we came with a bottle of wine. 10/10. 50% off if you pay with cash too! You wouldn't think the price you pay is the quality you get. Will be recommending to everyone. The most tasteless takeaway ever. Ordered at the discounted rate and paid cash on collection. 4 of us ate and honestly it must be a skill to make each dish so tasteless. No spicing at all and did not taste like any Indian we have ever eaten. The onion bhaji was the only item with taste. Puzzled as some great reviews for the restaurant but looking at the takeaway reviews... not so much. They must reserve a special kind of tasteless food for the discounted rate. First and last time at Viceroy.

Local restaurant in Hampton Court food was a little disappointing but it is very competitively priced at the moment with an extra discount so whilst the ratings are as above, it compares favorably with fish and chips so I would certainly give them a try. What probably improved the situation was a wonderful walk by the beautiful river Thames footpath afterwards. Just a short drive away. I would eat there again.

Excellent curry house offering great food at very good prices. The BYO set up is spot on, so take your own Kingfisher. Unfortunately let done by some other rowdy diners, but that's not the restaurants fault. Look forward to returning

Writing this review as a big fan of Indian cuisine, a person who has tried a lot of Indian food in my life! I loved the atmosphere in the restaurant- warm, nice lighting, nice Indian music and flowers, white table cloths, clean toilets. BYO! The food can be hit and miss but once you know what’s best- it’s great!! I recommend Prawn Purree, samosas, garlic naan, garlic chicken, aubergine curry, targa daal and pilau rice!! All amazing!! I don’t recommend coconut rice as it has a lot of sugar neither do I recommend korma and pashwari for the same reason unless you want a dessert 🤣 Thanks very much guys!

It was so bad I don’t even know where to start. We ordered some takeaway which consisted of a saag paneer , Hot lamb curry Parata and Naan bread. Sadly everything immediately had to go in the bin. The saag was overloaded with sugar it tasted like a desert. The pieces of paneer cheese were crystallised with sugar there was no spice at all and some weird coconuts late crunch with a bite. There was absolutely no way this could even be branded as a saag and given that one of the diners had diabetes just having a mouthful of this would’ve made them very very ill. I have no idea how much sugar has gone into this but it was inedible. The lamb curry was mediocre at best and was swimming in onions and a very bland gravy again no spices. The breads were doughy and dense - and sadly most of it had to go in the bin because it was inedible. I am of Asian origin and I know what a classic family staple saag and curry Should be like. This was far from it. I am lost for words on how anyone could leave a positive comment following my experience of the quality and lack of flavour of this food. I have tasted many versions of Saag And curries which have derived from all parts of India. They’ve had minor variations but never have I had quite a dish where it was so far from authentic. I grew up eating curry and it’s very disappointing that the viceroy can’t even call their food Indian when there is no authenticity or flavour to the dish. I feel cheated that the food that we ordered had to go in the bin, and unfortunately Deliveroo orders cannot be refunded. I would highly recommend viceroy to review the menus ingredients and recipes, get authentic qualified Indian chefs who can do Indian food justice.

The food was really tasty, and the gentleman that served us was really friendly and made the kids laugh which made their evening as much as ours.

Party of 12. All meals served at same time. Staff and owner very pleasant. Excellent value. Takeaways always ready promptly. We have takeaways regularly. Can only recommend this restaurant particularly given the current cost of living crisis. Try it and be pleasantly surprised.

Sorry I don't want to be rude here. Ordered first time,very bad experience... Roti and Pratha was like raw dough. Dal Tadka was literally without tadka, super bland just like cooked lentil soup with salt. Matar paneer was so sweet.. missing salt n spices. This place is not for someone who likes spicy food. Giving 1 star for vegetables pakora.

Good value for money when paying by cash

We had awful through the door at a discounted rate. I have just had an operation and thought I would order a selection so we could have a few proper meals. Of the 6 main dishes, there were only 2 sauces involved. Imagine Goan fish curry tasting the same as Lamb Madras!! Oh and both sauces were sweet....the third to taste the same was Butter Chicken. The prawn puri was the only edible dish.....after you had mopped up a tablespoon of oil. Keep your money in your pocket, this restaurant is a throwback to the 70s and an insult to the knowledgeable palate if today

Enjoyed a takeaway today. Great prices and lovely food, piping hot and all ready within the stated time. Thoroughly enjoyed my food and excellent taste and prices and will have some left overs for tomorrow. 10/10

Great little curry house with unbeatable prices. Staff are happy to prepare dishes to your liking as well as dishes that aren't on the menu if you request it. The restaurant interior is basic and has a retro feel to it, but I rather like that such restaurants maintain this, it would be a shame if old school curry houses disappeared.

Curry nice and cheap tastes nice

Managed to peek through to the kitchen, never ordering food from here again.

Very very disappointed! Won’t be going there again. Put prices up at least 20% still cheaper than other places until you open the actual curry and it’s 50% less than you usually get! I don’t think inflation has gone up 70%!!!!!!!! The last you have seen of us unless you change!!!!

I have been to The Viceroy many times in the past, under the old owners ,but I felt it was on the wain , but under its new owners who have done a great job in its revival, it is slightly more expensive but not a lot more, and vastly improved, four of us had a great meal there last Tuesday, and the food was very good, with a bonus that you can bring your own Alcoholic drinks, making for a big saving, if you like a pint or two. We all very much enjoyed our Meal, very good value, and the staff gave very great service.

My advance order through Uber was cancelled without notice, even though payment had been made through the app. Disappointing for my birthday dinner.

We had a great Valentine’s Night, there were beautiful red roses and heart balloons on the table, the restaurant was full and we had a lovely meal, as usual. A big thank you. We highly recommend.

Customer service - great. Delivery on time - great. Quality of food - not so great. Was actually quite disappointed. The tikka masala and butter chicken was very very sweet. The saag paneer was also very sweet. Really not impressed. Maybe we caught the chef on a bad day??

The blandest food I have ever had.

Been here before and the food is always good. Went to come here tonight with my son. I only had my credit card and bank card and was told they prefer ‘hard’ cash and that if we used card it would be full price. Correct me if I am wrong but I’m am sure that the difference in price would be way more expensive than the credit card percentage a business pays on card transactions. We are not in the 1980’s and credit cards are not exactly rare. Sort it out guys. You have no excuses not to accept cards in this day and age. A lost customer

We attended for a family birthday, and were made to feel very welcome, there was a good set up, friendly atmosphere and the best part of all the quality of the food was great. Full of flavour, spice, and very good portion sizes - to top it off, the price point is excellent. Would highly recommend.

Been going here for years with my family.moved to Devon but as soon as I got back to London visit I went here.great curries and all food amazing.Although they don't serve alcohol anymore you can bring your own.I even took take away curry back to Devon. Highly recommended

Long live the king of curry and his staff! I've been coming here for about 15 years now (though I haven't visited in a few years). Ordered a takeaway here last night - still tastes just as good as it ever did. Garlic chicken is so good! The Viceroy is greatly appreciated by the local community!

I can honestly say this was one of the worst indian meals i have ever had. The service is surly and unfriendly.the food came out in literally minutes. All flavourless.i know it is half price for cash but honestly i would rather pay three times the price to get decent food.

We have been going here on a regular basis, I must say it is very good value for what you are paying, we usually go early in the evening, so the service is good, I recommend the Chicken Tikka dishes & the Okra. Only Cobra Beer served.

Give this place a try, food quality is excellent for the price. Not many places you can go for a 3 coarse meal with a couple of beers for under a 20 quid

We decided to visit this restaurant on Christmas Eve rather than go to our local and I'm glad we did. The restaurant wasn't too busy as we went early but it soon filled up. We had a tasty meal served by pleasant staff who took the time to explain what some of the dishes were like. The added bonus is that the food is half price if you pay cash, what a bargain! Definitely coming back.

I cannot fault this wonderful Indian restaurant. The food is well presented and is always extremely good quality and excellent value for money. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The ambiance is very nice with not too loud music enabling to to talk without shouting. Will always return to this establishment.

This is an unbelievably good restaurant and are happy to adapt your Indian dishes to your requests. Service is swift and the staff are extremely friendly. Super food for super prices. My favourite Indian restaurant.

Pleasantly surprised, was a bit unsure at first as the menu was all half price...but the food was all piping hot and Tasted really good. Good value for money. Could do with being spruced up a little to feel more welcoming. But highly recommend.

Been eating at Viceroy since my daughter was 10 months old. She's 13 now and this is still her favourite curry house. She's vegetarian and they happily change dishes for her. Have never had a bad experience here. Waiters are lovely, the owner is a gentleman and the food is great. Many of my friends are Asian and will not eat food from Indian restaurants but they absolutely love the viceroy for its simplicity and great value for money.

Booked a table for 5 for 630pm, only one other table booked so very quiet. Put in a cramped corner so had to pull table out plus all crumbs and food on chair. Sat down and ordered our drinks they didn't have cider,vodka,apple juice and never offered a wine list. Just had shandys and orange juice. Ordered starters very tasty but felt very rushed waiter started clearing away when everyone had not even finished eating. Then ordered Mains but all the rice dishes were wrong they apologised and bought the right rice and curries out. Everything was so rushed we had all eaten in 50 mins so not a very nice relaxed evening out. We decided not to stay for dessert. The food came too £29.05 very reasonable and the drinks 4 x half lager,3 x orange juice, 1x Coke came to £33 a bit pricey. I wouldn't eat here again even though food was nice.

Visited this restaurant for the first time while staying with friends in East Molesey.Staff were very friendly, service was excellent and food was very good. Nice size portions.Amazed when I got the bill for two of us that included a bottle of wine how reasonable it was.Will definitely go again when next in the area.

I have to say, the staff here have been so miserable and unwelcoming for a long while now. Literally, no smile and strange, disapproving looks on their faces when asking for certain things. I just don't get it. My family have all noted this when we have visited. It really puts us off coming here

The best curry in the area for the price, in fact it’s the only curry in the area for the price. Just the best. We’ve moved further away but still come back because it can’t be beaten. Friendliest staff who remember you and are always up for a chat, great food and great prices.
