We were staying nearby at the Oatlands park hotel and walked to this curry house on our second night. It was early evening in a Sunday so there was only one other table occupied so it did lack a bit of atmosphere. But the restaurant was nicely furnished, modern and very spacious. The staff were friendly but didn’t speak much English. The menu is a bit more limited than a normal curry house but there was plenty to choose from. We were pleased with the lamb curry and Chicken tikka. Nice portion sizes and the peshwari nan was gorgeous. Average price.

This was my 4th visit as the location is a good meeting place. We were boring and the 3 of had the same main (Railway Lamb) which was great as were the side dishes. Plenty of nice food and service that was OK (rather than great). Everywhere was very clean and presentable.

Charged more than we wanted. We never ordered popadoms but were charged for it. We were charged for still water which we never ordered. When asked WHY the waiter was very awkward and aggressive. My partner was upset with the service which disgusted me in person. I’m surprised now that I was recommended this place BUT will strongly not recommend this to anyone else. When you have many more pleasant places in the area.

I went for a birthday dinner and the food was great until we had to send back a starter as we didn’t order it. After that the customer service was hostile which was sad as we had enjoyed up until then. Then we ordered mains which were all filled with green chillis. We were all so upset the food seemed to be so promising but the spice was unbearable every bite had green chills and they claimed this is how it always is we were shocked coming from an Indian background we can handle our spice but this was extremely spicy it seemed intentional after we complained. There was not much apology just “it’s how we do it” and a walk off. We were then offered a replacement for one dish but at that point we were all done with the meal with stinging lips. The picture attached is one plate which had three singular spoons of three separate dishes. Including panner, mushrooms and chickpeas and this was only the chillis which COULD be found. Moral is if you go to this restaurant don’t send a dish back!! 😂

Queried why three 250ml glasses of Wairou River were £10.40 I.e. £31.20 whereas a bottle was £36.00. The waiter seemed confused and said the Manager would speak to us which never happened and I lost interest but still got charged £36.00 plus service. The menu was not as good as we remembered it from previously and the bhindi bhajee was luke warm whereas the rest was very hot. Service was poor and inattentive, only way to get anything was to ask. I could have complained but was annoyed and will never return.

Slightly disappointed with the food, the lamb samosas were tasty however the monk fish tikka, lacked flavour. I had Chicken Bangalore which had to much chilli in it, which it didn’t mention on the menu, otherwise I wouldn’t of ordered it. I did mention this to the waiter & didn’t get a response that I would of thought appropriate.he said that all the food is hot & spicy, maybe you need to look at your staffs customer service skills & readdress your menu. The menu online is different to the menu in the restaurant. Unfortunately the customer service was not great & we felt rushed. We will not be returning.

Lovely preparations and ambience. We went for a Friday night meal. Everything from the chutneys with the poppadum to the main courses and breads were done to a very high standard and with authentic flavours. We seldom eat at NO 7 because although the food is ok, it's not worth the price. For north Indian style food we go to Hounslow for half the price.. Last night we thought we'd stay local so went to NO.7 Temple - - - but regretted it. The lamb and chicken dishes both tasted like they were 'ready made' sauces and the chicken dish was so suggary it wasn't recognisable from the menu description. We left at 9.15 and the restaurant was empty which probably says it all. The restaurant was always over-priced for everyday dining but the food quality was ok, so it's such a shame that standards have been allowed to drop so badly.

A little noisy as they had some children in for a party. Will go back.

We had a most enjoyable evening, with excellent table service and good food. The menu is new (from our last visit) and is very good indeed. Our waitress, Nora, was excellent, almost anticipating our every need with drinks orders. Her personality is a real credit to the restaurant and it is sad (and their loss) that in a couple of days, she is returning to university. We recommend most highly.

I love my Indian, eastern, food and like to explore as many restaurants as possible to try their food. Coming from an Asian, background and use to trying all Asian, foods, I like to think I know a little..This restaurant to me is like any other mainstream Bangladeshi, restaurant. Doesn't matter what curry you order, the masala sauce, appears to be the same. The food is okay but that's about it. If you are a vegetarian, then please don't expect to much on offer, as they do not even do a mixed vegetarian dish, although you can quire easily order, spinach, potatoes and cauliflower. The service is very swift and the staff are very polite. However, be warned a basic meal for 2 people (2 main meals, a starter and pompadoms) will cost you close to £40!!!

We came out to celebrate our anniversary and I’m so glad we booked No 7 Temple. Everything we ordered was excellent, the best Indian food I have had. Sharing plate of monk fish tikka and chilli king prawns to start - sensational, followed by Moilee a delicate seafood curry with mussels, squid and prawns, aloo brinjal an aubergine and potato curry and chicken karahi. Bottle of Poilly Fuisee well chilled, fabulous. All absolutely delicious. The restaurant is very spacious and elegant - the staff were attentive and we felt very safe - all staff wearing masks and sparkling clean everywhere. A big plus you can park easily just outside. We will return very soon and hope our local restaurant is supported in these difficult times.

No 7 offers some interesting menu options and is not a standard curry house, and we certainly enjoyed the food we ate. However, the service didn't really match up to the food - functional at best, and it was disappointing that although all the staff were sporting masks, in many cases these were worn in such a way as to be totally ineffective. We weren't convinced that Covid precautions were being taken as seriously as they are in some other places. When the bill was first delivered the 'eat out to help out' discount had not been applied, which made me appreciate that whilst the food might be somewhat higher quality than elsewhere, the prices are significantly higher than elsewhere. Overall, just a bit underwhelming.

I can’t say I was in the mood for Indian when I went to No.7 but my god I soon was when I started eating! Our table was at 17:30 and although first in it soon packed out, we had the tandoori share platter to start which was lovely, just enough for a starter! It included I had the Railway Lamb for main, the lamb was incredible it literally fell apart at the sight of my folk!Spice was just right not too much heat but enough to know it’s there. My partner had the Karahi Which again was lovely and tender, full of rich flavours! My 11 year old had the Malabar which was a departure from her normal choice and she was nervous about trying something new but she loved it, coupled with the coconut rice it was delightfully light, this brings me on to the naan bread which was so far removed from the normal heavy stodgy rubbish that most turn out, it was light fluffy and even had a slight crisp to the bottom. Service was fantastic and for the meal we had I wasn’t too fussed by the price. This wasn’t just a good Indian meal it was a good meal, I’ll be back to this one. Highly recommend!

The restaurant’s ambience and decor is superb but unfortunately most of the menu caters for the British palette. The Malabar curry was like a dessert and the rotis were like eating cardboard. The best dish was the railway lamb curry, followed by the gunpowder chicken which is very spicy. The starters were especially salty, particularly the seekh kebabs. The restaurant will continue to do well as it has a prime location and to be honest, it does meet the needs of the local population.

Having been recommended by a few people, we booked for a birthday dinner on Friday 27th, table of 6.It was very busy (not a bad thing) however the hard furnishings meant it was ridiculously noisy. We ordered as normal, three or four starters. It took around 30 minutes to receive them - we didn't say anything as it was busy. No sooner had the starters been cleared our mains turned up, less than a minute in between. We ordered more drinks, and the waitress/runner spilled the beer down the back of one of our guests! I work in restaurants, so I understand that things like this happen. She apologized and brought a new beer, but nothing was said or done by management, which would be the first thing to do. During the meal, there was no check on how the food was, offer of more drinks...we had to wave down a member of staff to get anything.Food was quite plain, especially the butter chicken. When the food was cleared, our unfinished food was whipped away, with no offer of it being packed up - two half portions of curry and a couple of naan breads still remaining. Then we were simply ignored...no offer of desserts or coffees, and we had to physically get up to find someone to bring the bill. Overall a very disappointing experience, £300+ bill and we all left feeling disappointed. Very, very overrated, amateur service and no personality.Fetcham Tandoori is far superior, and we will continue to frequent there rather than this one.

Just got back from another fantastic meal at Temple 7. All the curries are top notch, but the house specialities are the dishes to go for. Railway lamb tava is a family favourite, my wife has been a vegetarian for 15 years, a while back she had some of my curry sauce and accidentally had some lamb, but it was so tender it’s now her “goto dish”. My son this evening said that if he was to choose a last meal it would be Railway lamb Tava at Temple 7. I prefer the Salan or spicier Bangalore. Go and try for yourself you won’t be disappointed.

We used to come there or ordered take away so decided to come with friends on Friday evening. It started with ordering drinks when we had difference of opinions on which page of the menu is offered champaign by glasses while it was clearly written there...upon reconciling the drinks order i got my gin without tonic and had to ask to bring it along...i might look like a person who drinks jim on rocks but that was a bit funny. It took a bit of time to get the order going while was all right till we get our vegetable and lamb samosas. As part of us were not eating lamb we politely required to point to the exact ones. The tray was driven away and got back in very little time and we were given samosas with exact description. It was exactly the opposite to what we were told! It was still funny.Taking into account we came at 19-40 and finished starters around 20-20 we figured out at 21-10 that our mains were not coming yet. Still there were plenty of people picking up there take-aways. Around 21-20 we were served while not everything at once but some rice and naans came slightly later..I think i have never published bills here while decided to do so now as it can clearly show 4 very different types of curry. To sum it up - the difference in taste was very minor between them, there were not any proper spices or aromas, there was overwhelming taste of tomato paste rather than species, the level of spiciness was completely misleading all of them were completely bleak. We had on of the worst curries for a very long time - it should cost gbp 5 in a cheap takeaway but not in this type of place and not for money the charge. If you like Indian cuisine - don’t go there as it’s waste of everything including service quality.

Had the feel of a restaurant on it's last legs. Food was great samosas to start then a biryani. The time between finishing our starters and the main course was huge. We finished a bottle of wine in what had to be a 45 min wait. Hard to explain what was taking so long as the restaurant was 3/4 empty. Again the main was tasty but now into the second bottle of wine probably a bit to tipsy to appreciate it. We skipped desert as we just didnt have the time.

We thought we’d give the no. 7 Temple another try after a rather ordinary meal some time back but we were sadly disappointed yet again. After our genuinely excellent starters we were really heartened and thought that they’d ‘upped their game’ but our two different mains were yet again very poor - the two meals (a Goan fish curry and a chicken dish ) came with exactly the same sauce! The restaurant doesn’t marinade its food and just adds different meat/fish to a generic sauce which adds up to a very untasty dish! This is a cheap way of cooking and not up to the standard of the other local Indian restaurants. We won’t be returning.

On this occasion, after well over an hour, my wife asked the manager (Shiraz Ali) (or is he perhaps owner/part owner?) why the inordinate delay. He immediately became aggressive, accusing my wife of bad language (most certainly not for such a simple enquiry) and he said if we didn't like it we could leave and would be banned from the restaurant! Birthday meal - friendly service and delicious and varied curries - try the King Cobra to accompany and you have the perfect combination - highly recommended

Fantastic Indian food, nice staff and atmosphere, good wine choice and perfect for the local clientele. Would recommend to anyone who appreciates quality fresh Indian food. My favourite Indian anywhere in Elmbridge and my go to Friday Night Takeaway. Briliant delivery service with two really friendly drivers. 10/10.

The food continues to be really good but on our recent visit there were a lot of bits just not right, especially when paying their prices! Service was erratic, it took several attempts to get a vodka, lime & sparkling water. The beer on tap was warm and no life at all. The alternative to draught is 7.6% in strength & would send anyone sideways. The music was all over the place and the volume of noise in there was off putting to say the least. If you know you are having a group of ladies on the razzle, put them on a table to the side or something - not in the middle where every other diner has to suffer!!!

No& Temple is not an average Indian restaurant. The room's got a great buzz and there are charming and helpful staff but, more importantly, a short but carefully chosen menu with lots of dishes I haven't found anywhere else. All the food tastes super-fresh with really interesting blends of spices - our favourite is the Railway Lamb - but every dish is subtle and a different experience to most other Indian restaurants.

Our first time here and it was worth the wait! The food was on point, having taken recommendations from the owner himself, we were very impressed. The railway thava (lamb) is smoky, rich and unlike any curry I've tasted and I'm Asian!

This is a regular place for us in Weybridge. More upmarket than most of the other Indians in the area with a nice vibe and good front of house staff. Always consistent and extremely flexible in the cuisine. They will ,make a spicy butter chicken even madras hot+ if desired. My wife ordered the Dhansak which was great although ia little too hot for her. They offered to make another one fresh for her but the Raita did the trick.

Dined here this evening and had fairly high hopes when we arrived as the restaurant is lovely inside and had a really nice buzz.

A most enjoyable meal with family and friends, looking towards the cricket ground. The food, as always, was first class, although unusually on this occasion, the service was a bit slow. Nevertheless, highly recommended.

This restaurant is nicely furnished, light and airy and spacious too. We were able to park right outside which was a bonus.

First time at No 7 and quite impressive. Good, airy place, althoough the high ceiling makes it noisy, but with a menu which offers a few different tastes than many Indian restaurants. The railway lamb - as supposedly served on their trains - is great. Lucky passengers. Not the cheapest but reasonable for their effort.

New menu of sharing starters/tapas. The best Indian food I’ve had in a while for a reasonable price. It was great trying lots of new dishes too. The chaat shots were a must!

Great place to go for a buzzing night out for food and beers. Food is either traditional or something a bit off the cuff like railway lamb or the gun powder chicken for the brave

I have been dining at No. 7 Temple since it’s opening. One of the most challenging achievements for a restaurant is the consistency of their food. No.7 have nailed its consistency in the quality, flavour and freshness of its dishes.

I have had curry delivered from no 7 temple and the quality is outstanding. Would definitely recommend! Best curry I’ve had in a very long time!

We didn't book and were lucky to get a table. Very busy with a vibrant atmosphere. Notwithstanding how full it was, we had an excellent meal, good service and at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

A good curry house. When it first opened the food was spectacular. Prices have crept up and quality has reduced a little. Excellent wine for a curry house though.

Certainly not your average Indian, more of a place for couples than large groups like your local curry house.

Great for a takeaway or sit in. Food is fresh and spicy and all the dishes taste individual unlike some other Indians where all Curry’s taste the same... lovely modern interior with very friendly staff.

Went here for a meal with a friend. Decor is very nice, service good and the food was lovely, we shared 2 signature dishes the railway lamb and gunpowder chicken, both were superb. There was plenty of food we had a pilau rice and sag aloo with our mains and didn't manage to finish it all...

Extremely Disappointed!!! I believe some of it was microwaved It's not even Indian but Bangladeshi spices I've have great Indian food Staff lack hospitality and the food is also over priced We could of gone to central London and have a premium Indian for this price.

I have reviewed the wrong restaurant and I heartily apologise for that. I would hope to have a visit the london rishi’s and enjoy food there

Chicken pasanda and keema nan and the mogul special fried rice were all delicious. The restaurant and decor felt quite old and dated but it makes up for the attentive friendly service and the delicious food. They offer a 4 course a la carte menu for £15 per person on Sundays and Thursdays. I will definitely go back.
