I have not been here for years, it has changed but the food is still good, which is good news. We had two biyyani`s and a Jalfrezi, they were a big success however I would have liked a bit more spice in the Jalfrezi.

1st visit tonight, crazy busy but still great service, fabulous food, friendly staff … will defo come again

Solid curry house. Usual fare, very reliable food and friendly service. Worth booking on the weekend as it can get busy.

Attentive staff and dont wait long for takeaway. Also reasonably priced. However... its your basic Indian food. Chicken is very dry (big pieces so maybe why) and sauce is just there for the sake of it. You do get generous portions though. Its ok but the care for the food isn't there.

Very nice and prompt staff. The food was plentiful and delicious. A bottle of decent wine was reasonably priced. An excellent meal all together! Recommended

Got some food delivered from here. Said one hour for it to arrive but arrived in 20 minutes. Very quick service and the food was good too.

Best Indian restaurant for miles!

The food was so zesty and I loved it. The service? Marvellous couldn't fault the Gaylords at all, they ensured that my experience was as satisfying as possible! I can't wait to come back to the Gaylord again as it is sensational. I would highly recommend

This is the worst Indian meal I have ever had. The lamb chops at £18 were inedible, almost couldn’t cut into them. The meat in the following biryani was almost as tough. Managed to be both close to flavourless and yet deeply unpleasant. Staff were inattentive heading towards rude. Awful.

Order took 1hr 45 mins to arrive. Food was cold. I’m vegetarian and they gave us meat instead of vegetable samosas. Popadoms were stale. Will not order from again.

We drove 7 miles only to be told they weren’t open even though the open sign was showing. The member of staff was so rude. He wouldn’t explain why, just shut the door

Food is good but not worth the wait. Three deliveries in a row have been over 1 hour (we live 8mins from their door) and there are equally good restaurants that are more efficient. Won’t be ordering again.

The staff were very professional and attentive, the food was of a very high standard and everyone enjoyed their meal, I would highly recommend this restaurant

Top quality Indian restaurant - everything was very tasty and staff were friendly. One of the best we’ve had in a while. The king prawn puri and chicken tikka were particularly good. Edit: On a further visit, we did find some of the dishes a tad undercooked and quality had slipped slightly. Still great fun and a pretty good curry but it felt like standards were not quite as good as they once were.

Always a good curry here. Last Friday was too busy, and we had to wait for our reservation, at the bar, with a drink...so we didn't suffer too much

The best Indian restaurant in the area by a long way! The good is excellent, the surroundings are comfortable and the service is attentive without being intrusive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

We went there as a group on Thursday evening it was a total shambles the food was probably the worst Indian meal I’ve ever had and most went back to the kitchen un eaten or hardly touched The service was at best appalling the waiter got our order wrong with dishes missed off or not correctly ordered the poppdum were stale and had obviously been cooked some days ago While the staff were friendly there were to few of them but this doesn’t make up for how awful the food was 2 others of the party were I’ll over night after the food Best advice is avoid this place and go to a much nice place the other end of weybridge or go in to walton

I often wonder what the fuss is here . It was a packed Friday night with large groups, but the food quality and service was distinctly average compared to another curry house in Oatlands. Its great to see a Weybridge restaurant stand the test of time so it must be doing something right, but I didn't feel it , or taste it whatsoever and won't be rushing back.

Very crowded, tables too close and extremely noisy. Good food but wouldn't return as prefer more relaxed atmosphere.

Generous portions, good taste, resonably priced

I was a little reluctant to order here due to the poor reviews. We ordered 2 curries , garlic chilli chicken, bhuna, chicken tikka starters and onion bajees. The food was very superior compared to other local take aways in the area. Generous portions and delivery driver was polite. Would definitely order here again

twice experience take away, terrible! part of the dish was missing from the order, have to go back and get it, when get back the other part of the dish cold, never to order the food from this restaurant again, no apologies bad attitude!

Do not eat here. Strange management. Disturbing waiters who call people ‘buddy’ and eyeball you while you eat. Food is beyond a joke, they don’t know how to make a tikka masala. Simply quite a disturbing experience eating here.

Very clean , and the food is of a very high standard, the crab starter and garlic chicken and dall were superb,, but some members of staff were simply rude and made you feel on edge.

This is a small but busy and noisy restaurant which my friends and I go to regularly. It's not my preferred choice but my friends like it and there is parking nearby. The food was ok and the service was good, but business like rather than friendly.

They have no sense of quality. The food is Bangladeshi and not Indian. The food was extremely poor quality. It had no taste so ever. I’ve easy numerous laces in Surrey. But this is the most awful place to be eaten at. NEVER AGAIN.

My son and daughter too me here for my 71st birthday, my daughter has been saying how good it is for ages. There is so much choice on the menu that there is something for everyone, the portions are great and the quality of the food is excellent and well cooked the spices used really compliment the taste of the dish rather than overpowering it to hide poorly cooked dishes. The staff were really friendly and attentive without being too intense. I was pleased to hear that they deliver to where I live which means I will be able to get their food delivered and I am certain that the quality will be as good as eating at the restaurant. It was a very pleasant evening and although they started to get busy there was no rush for us to leave having finished our meal.

Brilliant service and some of the best curry we’ve had. There aren’t many veggie options on the menu but they’ll make any curry with vegetables.

Walked in without a reservation, first employee was very welcoming and said maybe 10-15 minutes. As I’m waiting with my 2 year old daughter, the man behind the bar starts yelling at me that they are too busy and giving different information than the first man. Disorganized, don’t work well under pressure and didn’t appreciate the tone. Nobody in customer service should yell at a customer the way I was yelled at last night. Lost my service and my network.

The Peshawari lamb is not anything like the original. Absolutely awful. It’s like microwave food. I would never use this place ever again and my friends will not also. Why advertise something that you cannot deliver.

Table for two on a busy Saturday easy October. We ordered chick biryani and chicken tikka masala. Both were very good. Peshawari Naan break was excellent also. Service was quick and friendly, food was reasonably priced. I live in Shepperton and have tired of the dreary curry houses locally where almost everything tastes the same. Great food at The Gaylord and I’ll definitely be returning.

Extra hairy onion salad, 35 minutes late, ice cold food - all of it - had to be microwaved, 3 poppadoms - very tight considering it is usually 2 per order and we order 3 lots. Usually good, this time it was absolutely awful. Dont order here on any day that is busy, they cant do anything properly

Great meal. We were having a business dinner so booked early evening and just wanted to eat and get going ... Service wad fast but not pushy. Meals were excellent. We shared a tandoori starter, plus poppadoms and pickles followed by a meat main, naan and rice....plus drinks. Bill came to 60 plus a tip.... Good value, restaurant was filling up fast with locals on a Wednesday night which is always a good sign... I have been before and will be back...

Excellent Bengali fish curry, lentils, sag aloo and sag paneer.

Friday night dinner was good , extensive list of speciality dishes, good ambience and quite a few people dining considering it was a very hot evening.

The food was mostly very good, though the aubergine dish which I had was a bit oily. We were a big family group as we were celebrating a birthday. The service was reasonably attentive but trouble in the form of the head waiter was there...

Such a horrible dining experience. I’ve never known such rudeness eating in a restaurant and completely ruined the experience. With the cost of things we rarely get together and I feel so shortchanged that a rare night out was ruined by the attitude of the staff. Myself and my family were the only table but one in there. We were rushed when choosing what to have, menus snatched out of hands, eye rolls, sighing, tapping of watches. Just such rudeness all round. When I went to the toilet there were 3 waiter standing there spraying deodorants under their arms so that was gross. On top of that the food wasn’t even amazing. Curry was very sweet. It was just uncomfortable to sit there. Couldn’t relax with people sighing and making it very obvious they wanted to get rid of us asap

Can’t fault the food but the service was dreadful. Had made a reservation but it was questioned despite having a confirmation email. Both starter and main course took ages. 4 tables who ordered after us were served before us. Felt like we were an inconvenience....

So confused as to how this place has got such a high rating. The food is average at best and the staff are very rude and unprofessional. Other customers in there, who were clearly regulars, were treated with respect and kindness while we were placed in a corner and treated like we were an inconvenience. Massively unprofessional and will definitely not be returning or recommending to anyone.

You get fast service and the food is delicious. I order from home and collect just 20mins later and it’s always ready for me to collect.

Very strange experience. Restaurant completely empty and yet when I explained the two of us did not have a reservation the waiter looked quite cross and pointed at a table and said “this is yours without a reservation”. Was asked what I wanted to order...

Best Indian around, the foot is always fantastic and the service is great. Have tried a few different dishes and they are always fantastic. It's very popular do make sure you book ahead, especially at weekends.

Service is slow, unfrequent and confused. Waiter couldn't understand my drinks order, second waiter took the drinks order and told us to wait to order starters. Me and my husband had two drinks, one start and left. Don't really recommend this place. Very surprised the restaurant got 4.2 stars on Google. Only 4 out of the many tables with customers.

This Indian has always been excellent over the 20years plus that I infrequently visit it. Not my favourite but close to it.

I ordered a takeaway and it was delivered to my property. The service was fairly quick and although the food looked very good and tasted nice, I found 2 horrible long white hairs in my meal that put me off from eating it any further....

Food is just amazing but the delivery is a nightmare. If they could fix that ........ 45-60 mins late every time is just bad form.

One of the best in Surrey, authentic cuisine.

I have always seen good reviews but I have to agree with another reviewer in that we found staff quite rude. The food on the whole was good but one of us had chicken passanda and the chicken was not evenly cooked. When we tried to tell the waiter he ignored the comment and just took the plate away. We also that for the staff we were not really welcome. Such a disappointment and we will definitely not be going back.

Me and my friends went, six of us all together. We came in and sat down next to the door, it was quite a small space and I was getting bumped constantly by people walking by. The service team appeared frustrated that we were actually there and we found them quite rude to be honest, ask for a drink and you got a sigh. One main was forgotten until we asked and they brought it out. When it came to the bill we were practically bullied out of the restaurant, the waiter came over with the bill and the card machine and then got annoyed with the fact we had to divide it up between the couples only for him to say “Hurry up, I need the table.”. We’d only been there an hour and a half. Safe to say we won’t be returning. The food was average.

We haven’t been here for ages and decided to give it a go for old times sake. First thing was that we did feel a little rushed in ordering. This can be down to my lovely partner being quite indecisive, but to be fair to her there is lots to choose from. I then went to order a bottle of cotes de Rhône on the menu. When it arrived it was not the one on the menu but actually one that you can buy next door. It is a nice red though and can understand stock may be difficult in these tough times. The food then arrived and all in all was a nice curry. We would still recommend this as a good evening out.

This was the very first time I have eaten food from The Gaylord. I have a love of British Indian food.I was not disappointed, I ordered the Chicken Vindaloo, Plain Rice, Poppadoms and a garlic naan. The curry sauce was a wonderful sunburn orange / red in colour, the texture looked glossy and not overly smooth. The base curry sauce was wonderful, warm and long and flavorful. So well balanced with the tomato and onions, the mouth feel was smooth and wonderfully spicy and not overly hot allowing the true spice to show its depth. The chicken was succulent and of a very good size, the potatoes were few and perfectly cooked. Unlike other restaurants I have eaten at where they add more potatoes and less chicken.The rice was light and fluffy, and was the Naan, great texture and not overpowering with garlic. As this was a delivery I could set the time which was ideal.The food is brilliant at The Gaylord, I highly recommend a visit. If you miss The Gaylord, your missing an absolute treat.

Terrible worst meal ever and expensive

We have been visiting the Gaylord for years, always been great service and food. However tonight was disappointing, food and service amazing. But my husband picked a bottle of Rioja from the menu, the bottle picked was £23. However the waiter spoke to my husband saying there was 2 bottles and was unsure which one we picked, he did not at any point confirm the bottle and price. So when our bill came, the bottle was £48!! Felt totally ripped off, if it wasn’t for the taxi outside I would have argued the price. Such a great evening but felt totally disappointed at the price, and Must say it will put us off going again. Note to anyone, check the wine you ordered is the one that is going on the bill.

Fabulous curry... lived in Weybridge for many years but never tried it.... wow.. I have seriously missed out. Marked now as the best curry house in the area for me........ matching the Sipson Tandoori (my absolute favorite)..... The garlic chicken was the best I have ever had... service good too... deffo recommended.
