Very watery and bland Jalfrezis and chutney. Doughy naan breads. Disappointing.

All good. We ordered and received 4 poppadoms which is fine but with spending over sixty quid they could have chucked a few more in.

By far the best Indian takeaway in this area. Rather than using a mother sauce in every dish, every single dish from this restaurant tastes distinctly different, and absolutely delicious. Had about 8 orders now and all have been consistently excellent.

As usual The Mogul was excellent in all aspects except that as penshioners the meal price, in line with all other surrounding restaurants, is reaching the point that we can, unfortunately, no longer afford to treat ourselves to these luxuries on our very limited income.

Specifically ordered for 830 so toddler would be in bed. Attempted delivery at 8 but didn't hear the door as putting toddler to bed. Food returned to us, assured it would be warm. It was not. Main meal had plenty of meat and good flavour. Prawn puree was flavourless and mixed starter might have been nice if it was warm. Had gone soggy. A real shame.

Tasty authentic food always lovely

This review is strictly for vegetarian food only. The food is good, the service was good and it also allows you to bring your own booze from outside which makes dining experience really good and not too expensive. Highly recommend.

Ordered chicken chat, was ok, but in most restaurants it comes with puree. I knew this before I ordered, but it would have really helped as a starter. My main was a lamb biriani. Lamb & rice was grea, the veg curry that came with it was overly vinergy in taste.

Apparently there are Sunday menu too. You are not offered though unless someone tells you. They wouldn't allowed us to take our food which we ordered and guy was bit rude and that's why 3 star.

Bit late but good was fantastic

Food was great - no complaints - however I did put a note about delivering to the correct address and the driver still went to knock on the wrong door - but realised in time - still annoying when you’re waiting for a delivery but are worried it’s going to go elsewhere

This was our second trip to the Mogul within the last 3 months and once again could not fault either the welcome or the food . I had the Chilli Kulkarni with lamb, absolutely delicious. Best Indian we have been to Forever.

Lovely small restruant and great prices

Spent a long time trying to find a decent curry in the area, that all stopped when i stumbled across The Mogul! Food is lovely and fairly priced and the portions are just right. Have tried most if not all the curry houses in Walton and can honestly say this place is the best i have had. Been several times and never been disappointed. Now my go to for a good curry and have no hesitation in recommending them!

We having been coming here for years including while pregnant and trying to get labour going! We have always been treated with the utmost courtesy and kindness by the lovely staff - especially R and M. This is a great little local Bangladeshi restaurant with tasty and generous portions of food. The restaurant is now BYOB and smaller due to renovations so probably worth booking on busy nights. It retains all its unpretentious and lovely charm. Regulars for 9 years - love it.

Thought we found our local Indian that we were happy with as the food is lovely but the customer service lets them down - around £1.30 for one popadom and no chutneys, when most other Indians give them complimentary or at least more than one when you’re paying that much for something that costs penny’s to make. Also bulked out a lamb dish with potatoes. If you want to keep customers happy and returning it’s the little things that count as well as the quality of food

For the price was not great quality

Best Indian of the three we’ve tried in Walton - always a great feed for the whole family. Our favorites include the Bhuna, Vindaloo and delicious Saag Aloo. Couldn’t have got through lockdown without it!

A wonderful time was had at this restaurant! Obviously the food is veerrryyy tasty! That's the best start isnt it? The atmosphere was good. The decor and table arrangement were beautifully done. Lighting was perfect. And in these Covid ridden days of lockdown, this is our takeaway of choice. Never ever been disappointed with the food.

This restaurant has been there for me during the Covid Lock down. I have been ordering regularly and has been consistent every time. I am shocked at the negative comments as my experience has been amazing with these guys. The guy taking the order on the phone really professional, food always tasty, no grease, packaging is always immaculate and portions are MASSIVE! like one reviewer mentioned below, and I agree with him, this is the best curry house in Surrey. I am genuinley a fan :D

A 50 minute ETA is ok. You know from the start. But a further 25 kinda takes the P. I called around 10 minutes after.... Apparently the driver left 5 mins ago. I called 15 minutes later... (It's 10 TOPS to get here) the driver was 2 minutes away. Food arrived 5 mins later. Ok. That aside... The food was nice. Sadly... No freebies... Such as poppadoms. The order was £55 so most places chuck something in. Food was nice though. Really was. Just the waiting time was bad. VERY bad.

Dispite the mix up with the food and the half hour delay to fix it the food was very tasty. The portions were also large which was great. They were very pleasant when I placed the order on the phone.

We absolutely love the food from the mogul, perfect amount of heat in the madras and all the dishes are so tasty, unfortunately, It has been late for the last 7 times. Not always by a lot (10/15 mins) , but always late since we moved to Weybridge.

Spacious restaurant well suited for social distancing. Food more expensive compared to prior to lockdown pricing, but understandable under the current circumstances. Currently no alcohol licence, so bring your own. Lovely food.

Food was lovely, great taste, good mix of spices and heat, slightly gutted they forgot our rice so had to use our rice cooker while we had our starters so not the end of the world, still recommend and would order again. Cheers.

The wait for the food was worth it

The meat and naan were nice but the rest wasn't very edible. Won't be ordering again.

Would give more stars were it not for the statement made by the person delivering the food to the effect that "you are a long way away and we won't deliver here again or charge more for delivery". How nice to be made to feel a burden to you...not a nice way to start a meal especially when the cost is so high. It would have been more acceptable/appropriate to have said "have a nice meal" perhaps. It may seek trivial to you but having visited your restaurant for over 4 years we may think again about ordering from you or even returning for a sit down meal in the future. It will be your loss, which in the current economic climate is probably not something you can justify although I doubt it will make you think differently. Overall a ruined experience.

The food was very good, although significantly more expensive than most other Indian takeaway restaurants in the area. The delivery arrived 20 minutes after I requested it and 10 minutes after the revised delivery time given by the restaurant. I was very disappointed with the so-called contactless delivery. I had to ask the delivery man to stand back and put the bag down as he was trying to hand it to me at a time of social distancing.

Social distancing, masks & gloves - but still a warm friendly welcome. Food really good as usual. I would always recommend this restaurant, their food & their friendliness. A very enjoyable experience, which I was unsure of before we went out in these early days of easing lockdown. Thank you.

Always great food and service. Recommended by friends of ours who are notably picky eaters when ordering take out and we were not disappointed. If you want a fail safe take out this is 100% the one to go to.

Second time of using this takeaway and another excellent meal. I tried another curry that I had not previously heard of and it was delicious. I will revise last week's comment that onion bhajis were not available to order in their own right as I found them this time under vegetable sides as opposed to starters where I expected them to be.

Absolutely excellent. Very prompt and professional. Chicken lovely and tender, sauce delicious and not swimming in oil. Lovely fluffy rice. Would be nice to have one free mint sauce but that's a minor point. Great stuff. Best I've had from Just Eat so far.

First time we have used this restaurant as our usual one has closed (hopefully briefly). I ordered at approximately 8.30 and was quoted delivery time 9.45. Food was delivered at 9.15 and was excellent. Good thick sauce, heat as stated and very tasty. Only one very minor nitpick, would prefer onion bhajis to be a separate selection option.

This place is a dump! When you place your order, they hound you to pay cash, they keep going on about it as well. I wonder why!!!??? Far too many places like this that are getting away withOUT paying VAT and also Corporation Tax that they should be paying! A mate of mine has seen th kitchens out the back and they are VILE. I wouldn;pt buy food for my dog out of there!!!

This used to be a good restaurant but not any more. Service was non existent - we waited over an hour for a single course dinner. Plus we had to hunt the waiter down for a drink. The curry sauces were all the same despite being different dishes. The taste was the same only the level of spice was different, and that was excessive. When we complained we were told “we are just busy”. Definitely not recommended and we will not be going back.

Firstly the restaurant is quite large & it's attractive inside. The food is usually pretty good, especially the tandoori chicken and samosa. Sometimes the quality is fantastic and sometimes below average. The staff are pleasant and sometimes you get a drink on the house.

Fairly good curry, definitely know who to cook a spicy dish. Service a little slow but very friendly

Extremely disappointed, inedible, swimming in oil, we had a few mouthfuls and chucked it out - £25 in the bin. I was so looking forward to a yummy indian meal after a heavy work week.

Ok food, meal deal, been to better!

The ‘banquet’ menu is anything but!! The portion size is so small, we all left hungry. When I say small, I mean the main course consisted of 4 tiny chunks of chicken swimming in a bowl of sauce. The banquet seems like a good deal until the food arrives and you realise they’ve cut the portion size so drastically that it’s not a deal at all. In fact, it’s a rip of. One shouldn’t leave a restaurant having spent £20 (including a drink) and still be hungry. We won’t be going again!!

A three course lunch menu for £5.00!! Got to give them 5 *'s just for this; but the food is also very good. Plus, they did not make us feel awkward about the hideous mess the baby (who didn't order anything) made. A bit embarrassing really, two three course meals, shared between 4 -for £10. Thank you mogul.

Used the TasteCard. They accepted with no issues. Just call first and let them know you have card and remind them when you get there to save any misunderstanding. Service was great and so was the food.

Been frequenting this place for years now and it does what it says on the tin , the lamb farhi is for me divine , and the onion nosherita the same if you enjoy spice , but should you prefer mild try the prawn gusarani from the tandoori oven service good reasonable pricing recommend

Food was fine but didn’t want to accept the gourmet society card when it came to pay even though we’d mentioned that at time of booking, so we paid full price and won’t return. I can only assume they give bigger portions if they think you’re not using a discount card and that’s why they played silly. Oh well, we’ll go back to Babucci instead which is much classier

My favourite curry in Walton on Thames and i've tried them all.

Would highly recommend this unassuming but surprising local Indian. All dishes are prepared beautifully with our personal favourites being the Bhuna, Vindaloo and Saag Aloo. Even the Naans and Pappadoms seem to be a cut above the competition. The lovely Mogul team delivers a warm, friendly and attentive service that is greatly appreciated by the locals. Perfect for a relaxed night out enjoying delicious food with friends and family.

Went here last night. Service was really good - very friendly but not intrusive and didn't rush our meal. Food was very tasty and flavoursome. Definitely will return

Ok so we all have our opinions on our favourite curry house and believe me I'm prepared to drive for a good curry, the masses go to the Gaylord in Weybridge where the food is ok...ok Th Mogul is not it is consistently THE BEST CURRY IN SURREY! Ok some people might have had slightly poor service 'we all have our off days' or the naan bread was over cooked...I quite like my naan over cooked so it is less doughy. I stumbled across these guys when everywhere closer was too busy to deliver and the Mogul came up trumps (no ref to Donald) when it arrived we were all blown away with the quality of the food, I'm enjoying a chicken Dansak now and felt impelled to write a review (not something I do often) but when it is consistently good it deserves a review. Well done Mogul keep it up!!

Purchased a Groupon deal and was told by staff "Na mate we don't do that deal no more" Friends had come to visit so we went to the Khyber Pass vitually next door and had the best indian meal I'd ever had. Don't be fooled. Don't be disappointed!

We ordered a takeaway yesterday and paid accordingly. A few hours later. Someone turned up saying they had undercharged us and can we pay extra 30 pounds, my husband was tired and didn’t quite understand so said he would drop it in the next day. I was furious and said no, it is there mistake. Next day same person visits again asking for the money. Told no your mistake deal with it. They then call my son who had placed the order and ask him. He said no , your mistake and told them we would not order from them again. They said good please don’t. We have ordered many times from them and this is how they treat regular customers

This is a great restaurant, with excellent food, and service, on a busy road into Walton but quiet inside and lovely staff who helped with our selection of curry, most enjoyable evening

We have been to the Mogul a few times and always had a very nice meal. I usually have a Jalfrezi but decided to try a MASKA. Wow, what a beautiful curry. Excellent food and attentive service. Will return as soon as I can.

Although we have never eaten in at this curry house, they definitely do the best takeaways in Walton. The food is always fantastic and we have never been disappointed.

We’ve looked around for a good Indian restaurant since the good one we used to go to became less good. We think this is the best in a 7 mile radius. It is not perfect but the service is traditional and low key without being absent; the food is pretty decent and the prices reasonable. Definitely worth a go.

Have lived in Walton for over thirty years but never visited this restaurant before! After becoming disillusioned with our normal haunts we thought we'd give The Mogul a try and we were glad we did!

I have been ordering takeaway curry ,tandoori and Briyani dishes from this restaurant for the last 3 years when visiting my daughter and her family who live nearby.Just place a phone order and the food can either be delivered or collected within 30 mins.

This week I revisited a old favourite, The Mogul, was a regular of mine but a strict diet has kept me away. So glad when a friend suggested we get a curry from the place I had introduced her to, and here we are!

Added ten minutes on the time and then still delivered it late after saying it would only be 10 minutes. Phoned again after 20 mins and the told me the same story so obviously just read the same script. Not bothering with food rating.

Definitely the best place for a takeaway curry in Walton, hands down! This is always our go to takeaway curry restaurant.

Feel we have tried all of the Indian Restaurants in WOT and we think this is definitely the best. Try it!

within walking distance from my house, although i must admit, i usually use them for Take away as the Morisha (meat), is by far the best i have had. if you like aniseed and Oriental hot spices cooked with green chilli (i also ask for extra) this is the dish for you. Quick service and always fresh.
