The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

Booked here for a large family celebration. Visited by chance last year and it was so different from most Indian restaurants that we picked it for our family get together. The food was superb and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. My favourite was the traffic light chicken !

Delicious food well presented in a friendly atmosphere, I can highly recommend the thali , good prices and good portions of food Will definitely return

Just read Exotic has closed down! Omg im so gutted about this! It was my only take away! The best! I understand the reasons for this, but this is such bad news for kettering. Thank you for all the delicious food and exceptional customer service that you have provided over all these years! Such sad news. Wishing you all the best in whatever you move onto.

Lotus Kitchen: A restaurant that’s been on our list probably since it’s opened!!! Located proudly at Mercia Marina, boasting with confidence, it’s food and service, with its inviting aromas. You CAN NOT go to the Marina and not be enticed or indulged into the Lotus Kitchen. An absolute Gem! Parking is Free at the Marina, including the restaurant, which is always a Bonus. You’re warmly welcomed by staff and a bar, to start your evening. There are a good number of seats whilst you wait for your party to arrive. The restaurant has ample places to sit and is utilised well with the tables and chairs spaced out well, not invading the privacy of tables. The Service is great, professional and friendly. Our waiter was Fraser. A fantastic young man. He knew his menu well. Advised on what was available and what additional items were available that weren’t on the menu. His customer service was excellent. Thank you Fraser. The Menu. Wow! The Menu had some amazing choices, leaving you either wanting to order it ALL or return to try out another dish. Either way a great menu. We were all really pleased with our food. It was cooked well, traditionally. The Tandoori naans we’re done very well and in a proper Tandoori oven. (This was impressive). The Kitchen is open so you can see you’re food being prepared. Prepare yourself for it being served. It is Divine! and you will not be disappointed. A definite must!!! We will most definitely be returning to try another dish. The only (pedantic) improvement I’d say, is the ambiance and the vibe. This could be improved. The staff could also be given a uniform. But other than this, it was fantastic!!! Thank you for the Lotus Experience. 💫 - Second Visit - We returned to Lotus Kitchen again tonight. We never really like to go back to a restaurant once we’ve tried it, but Lotus Kitchen has you coming back, again and again. It really is a brilliant option. The service was great, the food was divine, parking is ample and free, the atmosphere was much better. Just another great Lotus Experience. Thank you to Kevin for looking after us. Excellent food , great service ,good size portions , well presented ,plenty of choice for everyone , lovely atmosphere and beautifully decorated. My husband said best curry he ever had first and certainly not the last visit

This place is a little gem in Bexleyheath. I honestly can’t fault it. Loved getting a take away there many times. Never disappointed. The food is spot on and the service and friendliness of those running it is amazing. Same level goes for dining in, of course, only more personal.

Found this little gem, whilst in Blackpool! Without doubt one of the best indian meals I have had! Food was very fresh and tasty, very well priced and excellent waiting staff. Very friendly and great atmosphere! A must if you are in Blackpool!

Very attentive and reasonable prices for good food , would go back for sure especially as the sizzling chicken came as i was leaving and looked delicious!!!

Amaizing place , great food and service , i recomend sitting downstairs in the cellars area , lovely atmoshpere and cool in summer cosy in winter. Great pricing . Food quality is second to none . Service is superb and couldnt do enough . Highly recomended . I would give it 10 stars if i could .

Not the cheapest, but the best never is!

Fantastic meal, excellent service and very personable staff. The best curry in Cornwall. Well worth a visit and regardless of what you pick you will not be disappointed. Tender meat, beautifully spiced curry and served by staff that are great to chat with. Highly recommend a visit and you'll be warmly greeted by Mansell and his team.

Myself & 3 Friends were recommended to booked Shadohna for our regular Curry. Restaurant is stylish & spacious. Clean & Airy, comfortable seating. Our Waiter put us in a window table for 4, 4th seat scrunched against window. Plenty of room in the Restaurant, we asked to be moved to a more sensible table. We felt we were sat in window to make restaurant appear busy ? Service polite/not pushy. Starters all good, main course held until we were ready. Dishes tasty,savoury , generous portions.side dishes cooked well. One main course only lukewarm. Roti bread disappointing. I chose a special main course, cooked with Sambuka,different & tasty, I would order again. Mixed opinions regarding the meals tbh. All in all an ok pleasant evening. Worth a visit.

Food was good, took a while to take our order but we once the order was taken service was spot on. Atmosphere was ok, the lights were dull but very white if that makes sense and with plain white walls, didn’t create much of an atmosphere
