Spice Lounge Express in Runnymede

Delicious food ! Decided to give them a try on a Saturday evening. Ordered the chicken vindaloo , special rice , papadoms, chutney , pickles and mint . Everything was so good . Just have in mind the vindaloo is very spicy 🌶️. Very nice staff and quick service, totally recommend!

I've always had great food from Spice Lounge. Today I ordered lamb tikka jalfrezi and can only say the lamb was so tough I was unable to chew it. Very disappointed 😞

Always have a takeaway as I'm not sure you can dine in. Usually have chicken biryani and lamb buhna. Always a lot of food and very nice. The best locally.

As usual The Spice Lounge did not disappoint . We had 3 main meals plus the side dishes and they were all fantastic, flavoursome, tasty and arrived hot. Highly recommend

Vindaloo not a proper vindaloo, more like a phall, when a vindaloo is done properly, it's flavoursome this wasn't . Lamb wrap OK. 3 items 25 pounds and poor.

Always freshly cooked, good portions especially the king prawns, onion bhaji. Moved to the area 7 years ago and this is the best curry place around easily best for taste and quality.

Poor:( Been getting our curries from here for a very long time…always been brilliant. However, the last couple have very mediocre at best. I used to overlook the premium prices because the food was sublime, but things have changed and I feel they’ve taken advantage of the food consumer prices. Prices have increased, but the product has decreased. Lamb used to be melt in the mouth, now just almost inedible cubes…same with chicken and duck. Don’t even get me started on the prawn dishes…two jumbo prawns in a buttery garlic sauce…£8.50😱 taking the p**s tbh. Up your game guys or you’ll be gone

Always go to spice lounge, food is lovely, I do have to ask for mild Tikka masala, cause they have spiced it up, but if you ask you get, it was a lovely Valentine's dinner tonight and always, have tried many others, no where near as nice.

The chicken karahi lacked the expected flavors, leaving a rather bland and unremarkable taste. The dish seemed to lack the essential spices and depth that usually characterize a flavorful chicken karahi. The chicken itself was cooked adequately, but the absence of the signature taste was disappointing. Overall, it failed to meet the standard one would anticipate from this classic dish.

Most of the meal was inedible, thank god for the poppadoms which were delicious. Samba Daal tasted like it had a tablespoon of sugar in it, sabji b was a lot of raw vegetables in spicy oil, tawa fish was dry and unappetising. Feel very sad because that was my treat take away meal.

I had chicken chilli masala so delicious Moreover customer service is doing great job!

FAR TOO SPICY for what I ordered. Saga Loo, Allo Gabi and mushroom rice and the spice level was a 4 at least but should be a 1.5. Not going back. I don't like much spice but another local Indian is much better, subtle spice and lots of flavours

Not great. Food overpriced and quality for the cost isn’t great. And the staff when picking up are a bit grubby looking. And a bit unkempt. Will find another take away. As plenty around.

Disgusting… what are the positive reviewers used to eating. How can you give this anything above zero stars. Lamb vindaloo was awful. Lamb was tough and chewy like it was cooked days ago or reheated in the microwave. There was practically no sauce so it was like eating dry rice. There was zero flavour at all… just chilli so it was like eating a dry rice chilli rice with chunks of leather. Shameful

Chicken Tikka Dansak to die for!

Wow. Most authentic curry outside London (and even compared to many places within!) Delicious, flavourful food. We have moved to Woking but this is still the go to takeaway as nothing close by compares. Thank you, the awesome guys at spice lounge!

Been coming to spice lounge for 4 years. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. Every dish is full of flavour - our favourite is the Indian mussels so unique. Delivery is quick and ordering is simple.

Just moved to the area & this is a fantastic curry house. The dishes are delivered quickly & arrive piping hot and full of flavour. I’ve had two orders now and the dishes aren’t greasy/oily at all. I’ve tried many curry houses over the years and this is a stand out.

Really friendly staff who were happy to accommodate slight changes to a dish. Unfortunately the food was literally swimming in oil, despite having asked for less oil (I saw other reviews saying the food was greasy). The dish flavours were around average, but given how greasy it was I've had to mark it below average

Best curry on the planet, there’s no competition or debate about it……. If you haven’t tried this place for a curry then get ordering, and your be writing a very similar review 👍

The best takeaway. Food is amazing, service is amazing. I've done a lot of Indian food over the years and this is up there with the best. The ONLY place I order from for a curry. In fact, I think I'm going to order again tonight.

Quick and very tasty. Only thing I would say is it’s quite greasy (think this is part of the reason it’s the tastiest curry around)

The takeaway was fantastic, huge pieces of chicken, really tender and juicy. The flavours were great. Delivered piping hot and earlier than stated which was good as we were starving!!

I have been past this place a lot and was not sure what to make of it as the store front does not look that appealing. I tried it last night ordering online (website is pretty good) and the food was amazing. I ordered fairly simple dishes and they were full of flavour and really good portion sizes. Possibly a little on the oily side but damn tasty.

First time ordering here super easy to do online... discount for collection. Food was absolutely delicious will be my go to place now! Tastes like top restaurant quality with terrific service and friendly staff when I picked up! Highly recommended!

Not very friendly or personal service like our usual take away. Wouldn’t let us use change to pay for the few pence of the meal. The meal was average and every dish we ordered was sweet! Also served in sweaty plastic tubs . 1st and last visit!

Customer service is second to none, website is easy to navigate, for delivery we never have to wait long and most importantly the food is perfect.

Due to one thing and another, it's been a few weeks since we last had a meal from the Spice Lounge and it was so good to be back...The lamb in the Madras was so tender it just fell apart and as always the Bombay Aloo and Mushroom Rice was exceptionalThanks for another great meal guys, so good to be able to rely on a decent meal every time

The food was really delicious, and when there was an error with the delivery, the owner remade the food for us and hand delivered it himself! Now that's what I call great service

Great tasting Indian food, would recommend trying the lamb Biriyani and chilli chicken masala. Other dishes also taste good.

We have been enjoying this food for about 2 years now and we have never been failed. It is the best Indian around this area by far

We ordered through Uber eats and the food was just plain gorgeous. Unfortunately, the lamb dish I had ordered was too spicy and I could not eat it. I love spicy food and can handle some heat, but this was beyond my tolerance. The meat was a tad too tough for my liking as well but apparently that’s how the lamb is cooked in that particular dish. The flavour was still very good though. My boyfriend had the chicken Korma dish and it was yummy. So was the Naan breads. I called the restaurant to tell them about the spice level in my food especially because on the menu it said “medium spicy” and they were extremely accommodating and asked me if I wanted something else. I then ordered a masala and it was cooked to perfection. It was very generous of them to offer that and I couldn’t have appreciated it more. It made our date night complete! This restaurant is worth it all the way. Best food in the area especially for the price! Thanks again!

What a fantastic takeaway this is, i was astonished to how lovely my meal tasted! Ive had 3 meals in one week from this takeaway and i will definitely be goinng for me. The curries are perfect no amendment required. Great compliment to the chef!

We used Spice Lounge quite regularly until a few months ago when the covid situation took over. We had to stop as we were seperate households sharing a takeaway. We had a takeaway today for the first time in ages. We had forgotten how good it is. The food portions are enormous, very tasty, good value for money and the staff are brilliant. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I have eaten from here numerous time, every time the food is absolutely delicious and the guys working there are a great bunch as well. I have a chicken biryani cooking madras hot with sliced chillies, they suggested this as I liked my biryani slightly hotter. The suggestion was bang on the dish is perfect.You have to try this place it will be well worth whatever drive. It's the best in Addlestone and the surrounding areas, IMO it's one if not the best I've ever had.

We gave this takeaway a shot after our neighbours had recommended them in the past. Was not disappointed at all, we were all pleasantly surprised at how tasty and hot the food was when it arrived. We’re amazed at how the spice level is exactly the way we want, they’re very accommodative to such requests. It’s always nice when your curry is tasty as well as edible! I have to commend their service, our order is usually with us hot and within a reasonable time but on one occasion it took slightly longer so we called up the takeaway. The chap on the phone was polite and had let us know that it should be with us shortly and it was! Really fantastic service on collection and delivery always.

Beautiful food would recommend this place to anyone. I asked for them to make my food with certain level of spice and the main thing was for me that they listened what i asked for and made the perfect curry.

This place is a lovely curry house takeaway the staff are great and food is always good, the vindaloo has kinda lost its flavour and touch, last time we ordered was just a chilli meltdown with no potato and tomato in but still good all round shop.

We are massive fans of this place! They prepare the best Bombay potatoes ever. Pretty much everything we have ever ordered has been amazing taste and portion wise. We always find that food arrives much more quickly than stated (unlike other establishments in our experience). We are very loyal customers so that may be the reason.
