Mystica in Runnymede

Visited over the weekend and I was greeted by amazing staff and the atmosphere was great! Loved the railway lamb tava and the pilao rice. Definitely would recommend!

Absolutely Disgraceful. Totally over priced for the quantity . I ordered a chilly mushroom … super basic : I think they just put the name chilly mushrooms . It was not actually what it suppose to be . Kindly keep away from the restaurant. We ordered a mix grill . Absolutely horrible taste . I don’t even feed my dog this kind of food . We walk out out without going for main . We ordered starter Very disappointed

Price and quantity doesn't go hand in hand. Platter quantity is a joke. Over priced and quantity what you get is very little. Overall disappointing.

Only thing preventing the full 5 stars was the borderline icy temperature in the toilet facilities, combined with the frigid water from the 'hot' tap. Food was fab, service was top notch.

My first visit. Lovely ambience and friendly attentive service. I’d say a more high quality restaurant such as smart white linen table cloths and decent wine. Lamb madras was flavoursome and tender, good rice and garlic nan. The chicken tikka masala was more on the coconut side and for me needed more spices but would definitely visit again and very good service.

Arrived 9:40pm Ordered from menu which is a little limited for choice. The food was not great but not bad either. It was nice but nothing special. No complaints but I've had better. The courses came out quickly and it all felt rushed. By 10:30pm things got really speedy and we felt a little uncomfortable. Finished eating, paid and walking back to the car by 10:50pm.

The best Indian food I've ever had. I don't like spicy foods and am a very fussy eater. I order the same 3 items every time I get a takeaway and I am ALWAYS greated with a smile and very friendly staff. I am honoured to recieve a collection discount everytime I order and the 3 items I order are lovely. And for anyone wondering, I order Sag Aloo, Aloo Gabi, Mushroom Rice and they aren't spicy like another Indian in Addlestone that is very hot for those dishes. I'm tempted to start trying other foods from here and be "a little adventurous" because I feel confident with their food, obviously under their advice when I tell them what sort of things I like and dislike. Highly recommend

Really enjoyed the good food, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Great meal with a work colleague and we ended up sitting for almost 3 hours... set meal good value at £47 for 2

Excellent service and amazing food. This is a lovely restaurant and easily one of the best Indian restaurants I've been to. Everyone who works here is very polite and friendly. I couldn't recommend it enough for both meal out and takeaway.

Always love to take the family here as there is lots of space. Food is good. However, one of the employees’ daughters was in the restaurant with rather long hair that was braided. She undid the braid and started doing her hair…not exactly hygienic where food is being served. We also didn’t have our coats taken so had to use the back of our chairs, no issues there but when I got up to put my long coat on, I hit the table with my coat and knocked off and broke 2 wine glasses! Much to the amusement of my 3 boys. On the whole it’s a great local place to eat Indian food.

Ordered a takeaway from here. Curries were really greasy, had to poor oil out of the tubs. They were bland too. The Dupiosa was a tomato oily mess with hardly any lamb. Starter also too greasy. Not good at all.

Yes I would go back there again and can certainly recommend it.

Had a very bad experience 4 days back when we, a group of 12 family/friends went for a birthday dinner. One of the staff members was very rude to us from the beginning which eventually led to me asking him if he wanted us to leave which was then taken over by a different staff, Farooq, who saved our night. If it was just us and not our parents with us, we would have left in the middle of our dinner. Farooq was very kind to us and did everything he could so my best friend would not have her birthday ruined. The one star for the restaurant is only because of Farooq and in all honesty I would give him 5 stars on an individual level. Food was fine, nothing too amazing but not worst either. Portion is small so need to bear that in mind before ordering. Will not be returning again.

Wow, what a find by my son. Have visited several times now and been more than impressed each time. The flavours, spice and quality of cooking is top drawer. This coupled with impeccable service delivers an amazing experience.

I dont normally do reviews but I am writing this hoping someone from your restaurant will see it and be made aware. I always order from you and never had an issue previously. However, last night 15th April 22, i ordered food and it arrived really quickly. Probably not even 20 minutes after ordering it was at my door. Didn't think too much of it, but early hours of this morning and again a few hours later I have been really unwell, being sick something chronic. I dont want to put a bad light on your restaurant, but I think the food may not have been cooked properly on this occasion, making me poorly. Its a shame because this one incident has made me apprehensive about ordering again. I hope you can look into this so no one else is ill.

Amazing food and service. The tava curry is always a favourite and the naan breads are wonderful. We enjoyed our evening here for a family celebration last night and so nice to return after not being here since pre pandemic.

First visit post lockdowns. The Mystica offers friendly service and good food. Wide selection of dishes well prepared. You may be served by someone in training, but they are always eager to please. We drive past other places to eat here.

27.12.21-I’ve ordered a tandoori chicken biriyani and a lamb biriyani last night. Tandoori biriyani was good but the lamb biriyani was utterly disappointing. This was our first order ever and we only ordered from Mystica was Spice Lounge was closed on 27 Dec. Lamb biriyani was like some boiled yellow rice with some mixed lamb!!! When I called and spoke to the chef he jotted my name down like he’s going to remember me next time when I order lol what a joke. Never ordering from here again!!!! 08.03.22- My above comment was from 27 Dec. I decided to give Mystica a second chance and they have delivered a gold standard service this time! I ordered two chicken tikka biriyani. On top of that they made a test lamb biriyani because of my previous experience. All of them tasted so delicious and I promise them we are going to order from them in future. Absolutely amazing service by the manager and a good recovery at the end! Keep up the good service

I'm not sure what happened to this restaurant. The food used to be delicious when I used to visit a number of years ago. I decided to try a takeaway from here and the food was very bland and forgettable. I didn't know if it was a bad day or if things have just changed, but the food wasn't very good

Fantastic restaurant! We booked here for my friends hen party and they made it so special for us. They let us choose the music in the restaurant and were really efficient with the food and drinks considering there was 18 of us! Food was served hot and tasty. Waiting staff were all friendly and accommodating- and very patient when we asked them to take pictures of us at the table! Thank you all 😁

We hadn’t booked, but was welcomed in no problems. The food was the best, hence the 5 stars!! Plenty of menu choice. Meat was perfectly cooked and the portions were generous. I had the mixed grill and it seriously was delicious. We will definitely do a return visit.

Booked a table for five on line. When we arrived we were shown to a table that was big enough for eight lovely. Waiter was straight over to take drinks order. The food was exceptional. Service was very good. Not sure about the total cost as one of my friends picked up the bill. Once the bill was paid we were offered a night cap on the house. Not seen that in a long time. Excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Been using this restaurant for about 10 year on a monthly basis (exc lockdown). Tonight certainly wasn’t the best in terms of service. The food was usual good standard but the service wasn’t up to usual standard. We had to wait and asked for drinks and entrees, the had to ask again tor order our mains. Ordering drinks was really slow and complicated and took 3 attempts to get our wives Pink Gin with tonics. Table service in clearing the table was also slow. We weren’t offered a desert menu (first time ever) and eventually asked for the bill and then had to go and pay at the bar as waited and waited so want and offered to pay. First time ever we weren’t met at the door and thanked for coming and see you soon!, Our bill was a lot less than normal as were usually have a desert and twice as many drinks and after drinks coffees / drinks. There were certainly lots of staff just not much coordination / control. We will visit again, but please take this as a heads up.

Firstly walking into the Mystica you notice how beautiful and clean the restaurant is and the guys in there are always so polite and chatty. The food we ordered was hot and very tasty, you must try the signature railway dish,highly recommend this restaurant. Fk was absolutely amazing so pleased to be able to go out for a great meal.

Been using the same Indian for years but the food started to go downhill and a relative recommended mystica and omg the food is absolutely amazing the best Indian I have tasted. Authentic tasting every time,now got my other relatives using this one too.staff are really lovely and helpful too.👌👌👍💪 excellent food thanks guys x

I ordered on line this lunchtime, it said delivery would be in an hour. Sadly nothing arrived. They are closed at lunchtime and should possibly update opening times on the web site. I have now spoken to them this evening and they will send it for supper. Excellent friendly staff. If the food is as nice as the person i spoke to, it will be excellent!

Ordered a takeaway, having not been to the restaurant for around 3 years. I remembered the food being particularly good when I visited previously. It was my birthday and I thought it'd be nice to try somewhere different to where I usually order from so decided on Mystica. Service was really good with the staff calling back to let me know food was ready for collection. The staff were really professional and friendly. I asked for the food to have very little oil, unfortunately the dishes were literally swimming in oil. One of the vegetarian dishes had two small pieces of chicken in it which was thankfully spotted before being eaten. The coconut chutney was missing from the order. The food seemed generally above average. Given these issues, I've rated our meal as 3 out of 5.

My girlfriend ordered some food from mystica at 9.54pm yesterday. The order went through and the restaurant accepted the order and payment. She waited an hour and phoned them, asking for an estimated delivery time, only to be told they hadn’t been able to complete the order. They had made no effort to contact her, nor have they refunded her yet. So not only did she not get the meal she wanted last night (after an awful day), but mystica had taken the last of the money meaning she wasn’t able to eat last night! Very bad customer support. Won’t be ordering here again out of principle.

We have ordered from Mystica before takeaways and sit down in restaurant. Usually no complaints. However tonight we ordered a takeaway and when delivered was missing rice, we called restaurant and they said would send out straight away. However 20 minutes later the delivery turned up and it was a naan an popadoms. I tried to speak with delivery person and he just waved me away. The actual curry was a lot of sauce and not to usual standard. Might have saved £30 and cooked at home.

Ordered a Takeaway. It arrived on time. The food was very disappointing! Ordered the classics and the Chicken Tikka Massala was so incredibly sweet with coconut we couldn't eat it.

Whilst lockdown was on we have several takeaways from Mystica. They were amazing.However we had one tonight and what a disappoitment. We've just had a very tasty meal again at our favourite indian restaurant. Fantastic staff, delicious food (particularly the lamb tava and the lamb samosas. Highly recommend this restaurant xx (PS ask for the not on the menu vino Torres esmeralda to accompany your delicious food!!)

I had the pleasure of making a random order at Mystica this evening. Normally i go to Southall or Hounslow for indian food. being Indian myself i was quite apprehensive ordering from a local. But as soon as i walked in i was greeted with a warm and friendly smile by the owner and the manager; Faruk. Both were very knowledgeable and I totally understand the turmoil thats going with the Covid situation we are dealing with. Regardless...the food was exceptional, tasty and full of flavour. i will definitely be coming back and will endorse this place to all the locals I know. Captain V

We usually love eating in the restaurant but obviously in current times we can’t. We were so glad when we realised delivery was available through JustEat. Unfortunately this was short lived. The usual great food was the opposite. Cold naan breads, very wet and sloppy curry dishes that resembled what you would expect from a supermarket meal for 2 bag (2 different curry dishes) and the onion bajis resembled a hockey puck. The saag aloo was lovely though, so I’m glad I tried something different this time, and the delivery was quick. I hope for everyone else’s sake this is a one off and it’s just a stressful time, but we won’t be ordering a takeaway again.

Visited this lovely restaurant last evening with some friends , and it exceeded my expectations, the food was lovely and the portion size of the actual curry was very good , the staff were very attentive and accommodating , the background music was unusual it was smooth jazz , which gave this restaurant a lovely ambiance . I would visit again .

Expensive and won't be going back

Food here is spot on can't fault it at all. Fresh and tasty. Service good if a bit slow could do with some extra waiting staff. Be prepared to part with your money though. A meal for two with a few beers and a starter was £80 so not cheap by any stretch..

My partner and I had a quick curry before heading off the cinema one rather wet night in September. Happily, the experience at Mystica was really rather good.The menu is rather large, which is always a concern, as they cannot possibly produce all of the meals fresh, but happily our choices were very good with great flavours - not the usual single flavour of 'curry'. You could taste the individual seasoning and the flavour of the meat, likewise the vegetables were well prepared. Best of all, the rice was perfect.It wasn't perfect, but it was certainly not poor. Will return.

I visited Mystica restaurant in Addlestone with my family recently and it was a very good experience.The food was delicious and customised to our taste, the ambience was beautiful and the service was excellent.The manager was very friendly and made some good recommendations from the menu.Overall it was a very nice experience and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a good place with great Indian food.Will definitely visit the restaurant again very soon.

Two of us shared a tandoori starter followed by Lamb curry accompanied with okra and spinach with tandoori Roti and naan.All were delicious.Starters came promptly, mains took half an hour .staff were helpful and attentive, will go again.

1st time visiting this restaurant. Waited a while for food . Ordered from set menu for 2 . Chicken Bangalore NO BANGALORE tinned tomatoes, garlic and a tomato sauce. Italian not Indian food .

We went for my husband's birthday meal as a family. The food was fabulous and well priced. We can't wait to go back.

My partner and I had spent the day having a wonder around the local area and we were originally looking forward to going to the new Smith and Western in Addlestone until we got there and realised it wasn't opening for a good few weeks yet. We deliberated for a little while before deciding to go to Mystica having walking passed it a few times. We had no idea if it was a good choice or not but we were very hungry by this point.

We went to Mystica for dinner over a weekend after using the easy online booking system. The food was absolutely amazing, some of the best Indian food I have had outside of India, the chefs special curries are superb. What really made it a great experience was the excellent waiting service. Staff were very attentive with drinks, clearing the table and the food came out in good time, they were extremely friendly and welcoming. Can't recommend highly enough.

Best Indian restaurant in town. Been many times and never disappointed. Good service, food and the wines are nice too.
