Love Masala in Cheshire West and Chester

Popped in for a curry during the week. Restaurant was quiet but staff friendly. Food was piping hot and very tasty. Good choice of food. We would return!

Me and my partner had a takeaway from here on Sunday. Very good food, excellent service. I recommend.

First off the phone lines didn’t work so calling to make an order wasn’t possible, we had to drive in and order, when I informed them he knew but chose not to tell me when I collected a menu and hour prior,seems just eat is there preferred method of service as the restaurant was empty, the food smelt and tasted amazing initially however we soon noticed all dishes appeared the same. No difference between the butter chicken and Dansak other than some onion and coriander,no lentils, no spice and these are two very different Currys ,I love spice and the food appeared very plain in terms of flavour. The keema rice and saag aloo were fantastic.

Went in after 9pm on a Sunday and they were closing but very friendly man said they could do us a takeaway. It was ready fairly quickly and we’ve just finished it and must say one of the nicest Indian takeaways we’ve had in a while. I had the chicken shashlik and pilau rice and they put in a lovely vegetable sauce to go with it. Chicken was lovely and fresh and lovely big chunks of veg. Husband had a lamb dish which the man recommended as my husband likes spicy (can’t remember the name of it so Love Masala if you read this review let us know) and the flavours of the lamb curry was amazing with lovely veggies including spinach and my hubby said it tasted very healthy. We had raita and naan bread and was all delicious. They do a buffet on a Sunday 4pm to 9pm so we’ll defo come back and try it. Very impressed- thank you.

Food all tasted the same starters sheek kebab too salty other mains biryani tasted hot as well as sauce which shouldn't be been once won't come back

Went on a recommendation from a friend, and the restaurant is now our preferred Indian takeaway. Extensive menu and a refreshing change from other restaurants in the area. 15% off all meals except set meals, and only on collection orders over £10. We are working through the menu and have enjoyed everything to date. Penni naan is new to us, and can be very hot (chiili). Friendly management.

The manager is a nice person. We did turn up last minute for a take away. The chips were very nice and the pilau rice, but the butter chicken was nothing like I've ever had before (NOT IN A GOOD WAY), no idea what it was but wasn't butter chicken and my friend ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and the thing tasted like Tomato puree. Sorry but I don't recommend it at all. I was so disappointed.

We have had a takeaway meal from here before . It was so nice to dine in. We went for my sons birthday. Shorif welcomed us & was very pleasant throughout ordering the meal & :serving our meal. Top marks! The meal was lovely as always. We will most definitely be back to dine in.

Title says it all. It's our local and we visit twice a month. Love it. Huge menu, top quality food, great service.

Such a nice meal....really nice friendly and prompt service. Every part of the meal was delicious from Poppadoms, dips, sides, mains and breads.

I have not had a sit down meal here for many years but when I did they were lovely. Over the past 18 months I have had many takeaway meals and everyone was delicious. I personally think its the best Indian food in Chester area. Lasts one was on Saturday was great, fresh and plenty of it.

Had the most amazing meal for my birthday last night. Considering there were 20 of us, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They went out of their way to make sure everything was brought out on time. Everyone had the set meal which is such amazing value for money. Nobody was disappointed at all & there was enough food to feed another 10 of us. The staff are so friendly. It’s so refreshing to find such a fantastic place to eat on your doorstep. Thank you to all the staff at Love Masala who made my birthday celebrations a night to remember. 🍾🍰

This is fairly local to me and I've been three times altogether, but I think I won't be returning. The food is not the best Indian food you can get in Chester, and the service just is extremely inattentive. It's not a pleasant experience for a sit-down meal if you've got people collecting fast food stood next to your table either. I've had far better service and tastier food too in any other Indian restaurant I've tried in Chester. It's a shame because it would be great to have a local eatery that I enjoy going to in Saltney.

We were staying in the area and happened upon this restaurant. I must say I was fabulous! It’s a shame that we have nothing of this standard locally. Yes the interior of the restaurant is quite basic, but this is certainly made up by the friendly staff and great food!

I'm gobsmacked at the positive reviews for this place. I thought it was terrible. Had a takeaway of byriani, mixed grill and lamb jalfresi. The grill was mostly chicken which was OK but the lamb chop was mostly bone. The lamb in the cuury was small, over cooked and grissley. The byriani was just rice with a bif of meat and veg and some curry powder. Just ropey. We binned most of it

One of the best indian restaurants I've ever been to! The food was absolutely gorgeous and well worth the wait....it wasn't the quickest to get to the table because they were busy, but that's a good sign as far as I'm concerned. I'm just sorry...

Visited here 1/8/2020 as a party of 4 adults and 1 child whilst visiting the area. A real find ; lovely friendly staff , gorgeous food all at a reasonable price .Please visit you will not be disappointed

We stayed at an AirBnB in the area and got lucky to stumble on this place. The inside is clean and the service was prompt. The food came out hot and delicious!... oh, and they probably have some of the best naan bread i've ever had! The server (Baba), was a great guy and made us feel so welcome... Thanks! We went to love masala to get a takeout we waited over an hour and a half for our food they never even told us how long it would be or even apologise for the wait when we did get back home which is only a short drive the food was more or less cold and really greasy the chips was half done terrible service tonight I hope this improves as the food is alright but the service is just terrible which is a big downfall as sometimes that makes a big difference in a restaurant

This is a cosy, informal Indian with great food at decent prices. Worth a visit if you are wanting a meal out while travelling the area. Easy parking around. Friendly staff.

We visited again last night, with no reservation. What a lovley place this is. Truly can’t fault the quality of food,speed of service or the staff. Really good value for money. 4 poppadoms, 2 starters , rice, chips, 2 mains and 4 drinks. £35. Bargain. See you soon. X

Thanking my lucky stars for finding the good reviews this place has on tripadvisor.. FINALLY a decent take away curry, the first since we moved to the area a few months ago.

We visited Love Masala on Saturday evening. It was quite busy but we were seated straight away. What a lovley place it is. Not huge inside, but plenty of room, to move . The food came quickly and piping hot. Visit yourselves and you will have a fab meal and the hospitality is Also great. Well done team Masala xx

We’ve visited Love Masala 4 times now & have had a great experience every time! We used to travel across town to a popular Indian on City Road (won’t say the name so as not to detract from here), but now we don’t need to! You get a warm welcome, great efficient service, really flavoursome curries, good portions and it’s great to leave a bit tipsy too and be able to walk home without paying for taxis! All this area needs now is a nice little wine/cocktail bar with seating outside next door or along that stretch (please someone invest in this )

When I visited this resurant I was very inpressed it was like I had just gone to India and ate there it was definately authentic indian .The service was amazing at love massala and it had a nice atmosthere .

Wow, what a great meal. Visited for the first time since the refurbishment on a recommendation from friends. A great transformation from the previous incantation which we'd only visited once. Keep serving wonderfully tasty, good value curries and we'll be regulars. Highly recommended!

We were staying in Chester this weekend for my birthday, We treated ourselves to a Indian takeaway and whilst we were planning our break I did my homework and everyone rated Love Masala....

We continue to be regulars here, visiting at least twice a month. Doesn't matter which night of the week you visit , it's always great. Staff are wonderful, food is superb and the place is spotless. We sometimes come as a couple and sometimes we bring friends. We have different dishes all the time and everything has been gorgeous . We love it!

Tried a take away here after reading reviews ordered onion bhajes as a starter which were delicious however the chicken madras I ordered was bland pieces of chicken in a red sauce with no flavour or spice to it at all very dissatisfied.

Further to my previous comments on this restaurant, which found a lot lacking in the presentation, I recently re-visited this place with a group of friends and was greatly surprised by the transformation that had taken place since a few months ago.

Best curry around! Great value for money and very clean! The food is fresh and full of flavour, a hidden gem!! My new favourite place for food :)

My friend and I ate at Love Masala last night. What a nice place. The menu is nice and varied. We had popadoms and the condiment tray, onion Bhaji,s , which were also lovely. Mains were Lamb Rogan Josh and veg dupiaza with rice and chips. You even get a free tipple at end of your meal. Really nice staff. No pestering all night asking if you are fine and do you need anything, just placed our meal and said enjoy. Which we did. We will return definitely.

We used to come here a lot under previous management. It had its moments but was always enjoyable. The new management have taken away one of the doors to the outside meaning you get a cold draft every time someone comes in. They’ve also removed all decor. It’s cold and soulless now. It’s just round the corner and I’d love it to be great, but we won’t go back. Can’t see it surviving without some significant improvement to the ambiance. Food ok but not remarkable.

We are regulars here and the place has lots of regulars which is always a good sign. The food is wonderful, everything's fresh and delicious. Staff are friendly and professional and the place is very clean. We love it here and will continue to come and recommend.

Me and my partner get a takeaway from here most weekends.the food is always quick to collect,piping hot,tastes amazing (especially the chicken Korai and mushroom rice I have!) and the staff are lovely! Nicest Indian food we have had in a long long time and we r looking forward to booking for the Sunday buffet as everyime we pop in it looks fantastic with lots of choices! We have been going to this restaurant since it first opened just after Christmas last year and every meal we have is just as good as the previous one,we have never once been dissapointed!! 'adam'

We normally get our takeaway from a different Indian but after seeing that this one had opened at the bottom of our road we thought we'd give it a try. We weren't disappointed. The portion sizes were great and the food was hot. You can order online but I found it easier to ring to make changes to the set menu. We will definately be getting our takeaway from here again.

We have visited Love Masala for the Sunday banquet which is excellent value and great choice a few times, so for a change we went on Wednesday evening and ate the alacarte menu we were not disappointed, the food was excellent and service also great! At last Saltney has a great restaurant and definitely worth a visit!

We went as a family for the first time on Thursday as recommended by our friends. The restaurant is small and friendly. The staff were very professional and helpful. And more importantly the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend to others.

I'd never been to this 'restaurant' before (It's a converted shop), my friend booked a table for four of us. We met outside, at 8.00pm, and first impressions were not good: the steps leading up to the door need to be retiled as they're broken, also the accompanying shabby paintwork is in need of a revamp.

Gave this place a try after friends said it was good. They were right. It was very good and will definitely use again. Needs a new bit of carpet right by the entrance to improve first impressions .. but apart from that it was spot on and I enjoyed the food.

My partner and I have visited Love Masala on 3 occasions in the last couple of months and have thoroughly enjoyed our food on each occasion. My partner is a vegetarian therefore the range of options including Quorn is excellent for her. I've tasted a range of curries here and all of them have had excellent flavour and are of great portion sizes.

2 adults and 1 child for the Sunday Buffett. Good selection of food but only one rice option. As a vegetarian couple of choices. Very friendly staff and made to feel welcome straight away. Only negative is that the restaurant was too hot did not appear to have any air con. Couple of fans would solve this as not a big space. Very clean and we will return soon.

So I never leave reviews but I thought I'd take my time to write this one, came here with my partner today as it's only round the corner and we do love a good curry!! I have to say the staff were lovely always there when you need something, fast service but slow enough to know the food is being cooked fresh, I had a Korma and it was the best iv ever tasted!! And I'm fussy!! Thanks so much for the food we are well chuffed and full to the brim!

At last able to walk in to Saltney for a great curry again! It has certainly been spruced up and feels clean and new. Food was excellent with great service and very reasonably priced. It most definitely is worth a visit!
