Ordered a takeaway yesterday, was delivered by the owner who explained they are in the process of changing name and have taken it over in the last few weeks. Never tried before but food was lovely, delivered on time and piping hot. Fresh and flavoursome food.

Absolutely amazing food!!! We order every week (for the last 2 months) and we haven’t been disappointed at all. The food is top quality and is always piping hot when delivered. I can’t rate this place enough !! Best Indian in Telford I think.

Ordered food £40 of food 4 days ago... still pending and still not actually delivered! I've left two voice messages, send instagram and Facebook DM, left a Facebook comment and actually kindly asked for someone to contact me before I leave a bad review. Waited 4 days, just called twice but hung up twice. Shame we've used them for years. Lost my money, no takeaway, very disappointed.

Made order at 9 online it said 30 to 45 mins gave it an hour phoned to see when it was coming and nobody picked up for half hour would like a refund please

The place was empty on arrival which is always a bad sign. Took forever for them to take our order. Took an hour for the food to cone out. We were the only table in the restaurant. My butter chicken was just overload of coconut. Toilets need to be cleaned. We will not return.

Mediocre food...but full marks for trying. The curry was sweet and quite flavourless (might be preferred by an anglicised palate)

Delicious curry! It was our first visit but we loved it and will be coming back. I've had vegetarian dish Mattar Paneer which was full of flavour. My colleagues had lamb and chicken and were equally impressed. Everything was very fresh, hot and great value. The service was excellent.

Too much sweetness in the chicken kurma and the chicken overcooked it was like rubber and no salt in the paratha Over all waste of money the food went to bin straight away. More disappointed 😞

REALLY NICE FOOD WORTH THE PRICE

We visited this place on the off chance it would be quiet... it was we were the only 3 in there for the 2 hours we were there.. we waited a few minutes before they knew we were there and then taken to our table. The menus were then given to us... One was covered in what looked like mango sauce. The food came, and it was lovely food. and we enjoyed it. Like when we have a delivery. But if you suffer with the cold, do not go in for a sit-down meal. It was as cold in the restaurant as it was outside, and it was snowing that night. Which was a shame because last time we went for a meal there 3 years ago it had the same problem. Which we mentioned to the staff and they apologised for. Its a shame they didn't take it on board and rectify. So yes, jave a takeout, but never a sit down.

The Raj food is excellent. As a midlander brought up eating in Birminghams balti quarter I'm hard to please... but the Raj really know how to serve quality old school Curry!! Phil

We had a n excellent takeaway for two people, the food was very fresh and vibrant. It's the best Indian Takeaway we have in 3 years! Good value for money, delivered on time! so Well Done Raj! We will switch to Raj without any hesitation.

Despite visiting on a quiet Monday the food and service were excellent. Starters and main meals were super tasty and generously portioned. Will definitely be back!

Ordered for delivery was about 30 mins. Definitely worth the wait. We had chicken tikka puri starter chicken tikka saag chicken tikka masala keema naan and chips. It was lovely, chicken was tender and even chips were nice. Well done raj cuisine

The food every time we ordered was inconsistent flavour wise either it's taste too tamatoy and then spicy sometimes you get the curry right I have given it chance few times as everything else seems enjoyable to eat

food was ok but disturbing to find out that the owner had fly tipped parts of my meal (specifically onions) onto someone else's land. shameful behavior. poor show.

Failed to deliver first time. After claiming I hadn’t ordered, then accepting I had, they turned up mob handed and started shouting at me at my front door claiming I was lying and I had already had the delivery! Quite remarkable. Wanted a quick curry not world war 3. Suggest you do what the parcel folk do and take a picture on delivery.

Failed to deliver order first time, then when it did turn up with 2 staff, one attempted to lie insisting he’d already delivered my order and that I was at fault. Disgrace.

booked for a table of 11, and when we only ordered 7 mains as we were sharing some of them as we had 2 children with us, we were questioned as to why as there ‘is 11 of you and only 7 mains’. we were made to feel as though we hadn’t ordered enough. The atmosphere was non existent, it wasn’t welcoming whatsoever with the man being moody and rude. We were the only customers in there and were made to feel like an inconvenience. When we were presented the bill, he added himself a £4 tip. We even tipped him £4 anyway because of the kind of people we are, and we were given ZERO thanks when we paid or walked out. the food especially the curry was nice but i will never ever step foot in there again as a result of poor customer service.

I was recomended by a friend to try Raj. Alghough we only had takeaway My experience and the meal was absolutely excellent. The staff are very friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I have changed from my usual restaurant to Raj. I have already recommend to friends and family to try.

We ate Saturday evening. Interior is clean and modern, recently refurbished. Service is great, food is exceptional. Nice chat with the owner. Deserved to be a fuller restaurant and once word gets out about how nice a place this is, I’m sure it will be.

Went Sunday evening 26th March with family & friends to celebrate a 65th birthday. We enjoyed superb meals. The room was large, warm, clean & low playing music played in the background. We all took our own drinks (wine, guinness) and this made the final cost extremely reasonable. Toilets were spotless & friendly staff. Thanks for a wonderful eve & will definitely go again. Highly recommended.

I visited tonight with my fiancée and tried one of the meals from the new menu it was absolutely fantastic full of flavour and very tasty as a man who has travelled the world for many years I can honestly say it was one of the best meals I have ever had the atmosphere was relaxing the service faultless 5 star treatment we will definitely visit again very soon

Third time we've visited first time was lovely 2nd wasn't great and wasn't surprised to see the 0/5 for the hygiene. Third time we visited they received a 5/5 for hygiene and the food was a massive improvement v tasty and the staff v friendly will definitely visit again

Very impressed. Attentive staff. And the food… proper quality!!!! the naan bread was the best I’ve ever had, the chicken chaat quality our curries flavourful and some. All four of us loved it. Need to get more people in there so if your reading this don’t order to home, go in there and eat.

Amazing food and service every time great atmosphere 100% recommended

Have visited twice over the festive period on Xmas Eve and New Years Eve and have been really impressed with my meal on both occasions. The minty lamb main dish is absolutely delicious and there is a lot of variation across the menu, I really look forward to trying more of the dishes in the new year.

I've had a few takeaways from this place but this as my first time eating in. Went with my partner and family members. Lovely, friendly staff and the food was superb. The chef/owner came out of the kitchen and spent a few minutes chatting as it wasn't busy. Will definitely go again.

We lived in Telford 28 years ago and we came back for a visit. We used to come to the Raj every week for years andd wanted to revisit. The food was amazing, the service was very good and the prices were very reasonable. We will visit again as this is an excellent restaurant.

INCREDIBLE FOOD! We went as a party of 6 and everyone had different dishes including two of the chef special fusion, everyones food looked and tasted amazing. Personally I had the chicken madras which is my favourite dish and something I have tried from so many restaurants over the years mainly in Wolverhampton but this one is by far the best one yet!!!. Definitely will be travelling to Telford for that madras again. Good quality food and the staff are absolutely fantastic too and made the experience really enjoyable. Thank you, see you soon. 😀

Absolute rubbish. Ordered on Uber for the 2nd time, missed poppadoms off again. One dish was watery/oily the other had 4 pieces of lamb..... We eat Indian food every week and this was just trash. Absolutely terrible. Delivery guy was awesome though.

Ate here last Weds- with the family- Both my fussy Teenagers enjoyed and left clean plates They had Chicken Tikka, I had Jalfrezi ,and my wife had Naga. It was a most pleasant meal. The food was flavoursome and spicy without being overbearing. First time we have eaten here since Sham took over and we were happy to meet him and enjoy his style of authentic cuisine. I would recommend . You can take your own drinks and for convenience there is a off licence opposite. Very good , will visit again soon 👍

First time eating here, party of four. The food was delicious, and so fresh it tasted like the onions had just been cut as I ate my poppadoms and chutney. All the staff were very friendly and happy to advise on dishes. At the end of our meal the chef came out for our feedback and it was clear he is passionate about his food. Highly recommended, parking can found near by at the funeral directors, you can bring your own alcohol but there is also a limited bar on site. Best curry I’v had and that is saying something. Everything slow cooked preserving flavour and all ingredients could be tasted. Cassia Bark infused through the dish and fresh herbs at the end added a finishing touch. Fantastic!
