Don't expect to pay £10 for a curry and get 5 pieces of chicken And then quarter bag of chips that are dark. And the lamb chucks the size of your finger nails. Absolute rip off.

I just visited this gem for the first time and it won’t be the last! The goat curry was the best dish I experienced full of flavour and spices. Really recommend

Excessive use of food colouring in take away butter chicken, doesn’t taste fresh, resulting in an artificial taste, the food had to discarded entirely. The dishes seemed visually appealing rather than flavour, doesn’t meet my expectations.

This restaurant under new management is highly underrated. Once again, never judge a book by its cover played out. We went there for Mother's Day meal as it was one of the few places with free tables on such a day. We were simply amazed. The food was superb. The staff were amazing. There was a free car park off the road. I was not disappointed at all.

Went there on a Saturday Night and food was absolutely immaculate and we had shisha in the cocktail lounge after, cannot fault the staff either 10/10. The restaurant itself is beautiful too!! Will be coming back!!

Completely brilliant restaurant and already my favourite of all time. Some very original dishes and all cooked to perfection. We asked for the chef's specials and both mains I had never tasted before - a type of curried lamb chop and a Goan chickpea dish served with perfect roti and a very soft flaky type of roti that was amazing with the chickpeas. All the flavours were strong and the two dishes went really well together.

Food is incredible, never had a bad meal or side dish!! Staff are very friendly, highly recommend.

My go to indian takeaway usually, ordered numerous times from them, but last order we recieved the food cold and clearly a little old, especially the naan's. Also paid for galin naan and got no garlic on the naan. Very little meat in the curry too. Improve and maybe i'll consider you again, but for now, you've lost a customer.

We used this restaurant after recommendations from friends and on the first visit we thoroughly enjoyed it as the menu was not your usual Indian food menu, it was a breath of fresh air to see items that we had never heard of before & the extra-large, light & fluffy naan bread was delicious too. Unfortunately, on our last visit, we were to be disappointed as the menu had changed, now making it the same as all the other indian restaurants around. The "different" menu had gone. Our disappointment was bought even more to the fore even more when there were no longer any desserts on offer, which would have at least finished the meal off on a plus. Friends & family were also disappointed as we recommended it to them due to it's difference!

Great food and service, the staff are really attentive and great customer service. Food is freshly cooked and tastes great. I was with a table of 8 so everyone had something different and all said How good the food was. I had the lamb and I've never had lamb so nice and tender. Decor and furniture was elegant and vibrant. Myself and husband been here for the first time. Lovely food, very attentive staff, not expensive and made us feel very welcome.

Used to have some good meals with friends here when it was the Mauchak, but hadn't had any food from here for quite a while, then i noticed it had changed names to the (Cardamom Kitchen) wifey was in the PRH hospital at the time and i decided to give them a try one night and ordered a take away for delivery as my local place was turning out some terrible meals, Well being a born optimist i i always hope for the best? but oh dear, what i got from this place was dire beyond belief, just a bland un spiced amateurish concoction of rubbish, unbelievably tasteless sludge that ended up in the bin it was that bad, and i have never gone back, nor will i, quite frankly in view of the utter rubbish i had? i just cannot believe that there aren't more poor reviews of this place? peoples expectations must have dropped markedly that's all i can say, never again.

We have visited this Indian restaurant a few times now, and the food is always 100%. The generous portion sizes are extremely tasty, and the Naan bread is so light and fluffy, delicious. The staff are always friendly and helpful, always ready with a pleasant smile to greet you. The only down side is that there are a lot of items on the dessert & drinks menu that are not available. Please either take these items off or make sure you have plenty in to cater for your customers. I would definitely recommend you visiting as you won't be disappointed.

A beautiful place with Indian cuisine. There is a small parking lot here, so I had to leave my car on the street.

First of all I came here on a works do a couple of months ago and I thought everything about the place was great, food, service and the list goes on! Tonight it’s my partner’s birthday so a little late I suggested getting a takeaway from cardamoms we ordered not far before closing (even for a Friday night) we hadn’t got home so they left it on the doorstep and said call if any problems! Now our house is pretty hard to find (especially in the dark) but when we got home there it was! Food was absolutely amazing, hot and very tasty! Thankyou very very much for the food we will be back, hidden gem!’

These guys are fantastic. There was an issue with my order, my food wasn't what expected. Brought it to their attention and they came round with a replacement in no time. The rest of the family's meals exceeded expectations and the customer service is unreal. Highly recommend these guys!

I heard this place is under new ownership. Gave this a try. Not disappointed. All ingredients sourced locally and as organically as possible. Only 4 star because I tried a small sample of what's on offer. 5 star for my dishes though. Tried this chicken dish with vegetables in it, very brothy, variety of flavours, little hint of chilli. Awesome, never tried flavours like this before, worked very well. Tried a lamb dish, so soft tender, juicy and full of northern Indian flavours. This is recommended to lamb dish eaters. Great team working well with their own story to tell through either a friendly chat or through their food. Always experimenting with new dishes, shows passion and heart. If you like indian food but want to try real cooking ( and by that i mean I have tried many places and they all seem to taste the same) not this place.

This is by far the most authentic Indian meal we have enjoyed in a long time. Service is fantastic and the food was delicious. Presented well with attentive waiting staff. The restaurant is decorated beautifully cherry blossom tree and lots of dried flower decorations. We had butter chicken with mushroom pilau rice, and chicken dansak with peshwari naan. Highly recommended this wonderful restaurant. We were recommended to visit by friends and now we totally understand why they rate is so highly. We will certainly visit again. If you are looking for great Indian food in Telford you should certainly visit here.

Ordered a delivery this evening and was looking forward to it due to the great reviews. I don't like leaving negative reviews but I was disappointed. My chicken madras was watery and consisted if 5 peices of chicken, and the "homemade " chips certainly weren't homemade. Best part of my meal was the naan.. I did have to reheat my food also 😩. Best place for a curry?.. Peppers trench without a doubt!

A diamond 💎 in the rough. This restaurant is a hidden beauty in Telford. A must visit Indian restaurant. The inside has been renovated to a very high standard. Inside you wouldn't even know you were still in Telford! The food and service was amazing. They also have a Shisha area. You can see from the photos they have made it very Instagramable (yes I made that up). We will definitely come again!!

It was a wonderful experience! They have done full justice to the names they have given to the dishes! They taste exactly the same they are named (I know I am repeating it twice just to stress on this fact because this is the first time I am experiencing something like this in UK)! The ambience is top notch! They have a hookah bar and can easily accommodate more than 30 people for parties. Highly recommended for experiencing Indian-Bangladeshi food!

Obviously a new name for this restaurant. I guess it has changed hands? Also, a complete revamp inside. My main issue is the fact that we were charged for food that we didn’t order. We asked for a starter to share and the waiter generously said I’ll get you an extra piece of fish so it’s easier to share. When we got the bill, he proudly told us that instead of being charged fully for 2 starters, he had taken £1 off the cost of two starters! Sadly, his English is hard to understand, so I had no idea what he was saying until my husband told me later. I thought the bill was expensive! Also, beware of their system for saying how hot food is. There was one dish that I couldn’t eat, due to the heat, which was supposedly mild. Even with a bowl of yoghurt. When I said something about this, I felt that the waiter thought it was my tastebuds that were at fault. The rest of the food was delicious. The waiting staff were very friendly. The tables are marble so very cold. And also smaller than your average restaurant table, so not enough room to accommodate all the plates etc comfortably.

I had a takeaway tonight and by far the best Indian takeaway I've ever had. I will definitely be using again. Keep up the good work.

First time we had tried Alamein’s. The food arrived in a reasonable time and the food was piping hot. I tried the lemon rice which was really great with that lemon hit. The Chicken Shatkora Bhuna was cooked perfectly. The chicken was lovely and moist, fresh spices with a slight kick. Will definitely recommend them.

Absolutly stunning venue. Service is top class, and beautiful food. Would recommend to everyone. Will be back regularly from now on.

Visited valentine's night for the first time and what a stunning restaurant, its decorated absolutely beautifully. The food was really good and was reasonably priced. I actually think they are underselling themselves and did expect to pay abit more especially for valentine's night. The star of the show for me was the man who waited on us... he was so lovely and witty. Honestly all the staff made us feel so welcome. Was even given a valentine's teddy when we were leaving... what a beautiful touch. We will definitely be back and will be ordering take outs too. Thanks for a lovely evening ❤️

I visited this restaurant for the first time, last night, after my best friend had recommended it. The staff were welcoming & most helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal & will certainly return. The only issue, for me, was the limited parking, but that is not insurmountable. Do try this restaurant - ignore the negative reviews - there is always one !!

I chose this restaurant based on positive opinions and I was very disappointed. First of all, it is very cold in the restaurant. You didn't even want to take your coat off. The tables are small and made of stone (also very cool). We ordered samosas and popadams for the starter. The popadams were tasty but the samosas were average. We've definitely had better ones. As a main course, my partner ordered Alamin's Home Style Korma and sides. The dish was tasty, but the portion size was small. I ordered Desi Roast Murghi and it was a drama. Little chicken leg that was uncooked inside. A big disappointment. The service was not with us after serving the main course. Overall, the service didn't take good care of us. We waited a long time for the bill and finally we had to go to the service to pay it. I gave my feedback to the staff and the only thing I heard was 'sorry but you should tell us sooner and your bill is £ 40.10'. Very 'nice' of them. To sum up the place doesn't have a nice and warm atmosphere, the food is overprice and the portions are small and the staff only cares about paying the bill - no matter what the quality of your dish is. I do not recommend!

Came in tonight and What can I say. Staff lovely couldn’t be more attentive and welcoming and food very good. Had the chilli lamb starter and the spicy prawns with potato straws for main. the staff couldn’t do enough for us.
