Easton Spice in Bath and North East Somerset

The food was delicious and the staff was very kind ! I highly recommend this place !

Only had takeaway, but the food was absolutely first class and very tasty. Tender meat, and whilst hot, you still had flavour. Keema nan was generously stuffed, could not fault it. First time I had tried it, and well worth the journey across Bath.

We were staying up the road closer to Bath and just coincidentally were there on a Tuesday evening, so we lucked out and got their "Tuesday Special". A great deal, lots of delicious food. Only issue is that they are currently housed inside the pub, so only takeaway, and the pub isn't very inviting. As for the food, the menu is what I'd call "pan-Indian", as it covered pretty much every region of that country--we really had no idea how they could properly do that, but the dishes we had--from the fresh and well-charred naan, to the chicken tikka skewers and palak paneer, to the Rajasthani lamb and lol gost, were well seasoned and flavourful.

Pre-Ordered. Arrived earlier, good for me, don’t mind at all. Veggi and Meat meals etc. very nice indeed. Marvellous.

Mate. Honestly, I was expecting a mid meal with small portions. For a takeaway Indian inside of a locals pub, I am absolutely flabbergasted! The pub itself is adequately okay, probably not the fanciest place to eat your food. We took away, the Lol Gost, Chicken tikka masala, and a few sides. BANGIN'! I can honestly say it is within the top 3 Indian restaurants I have ever eaten at. Very decent pricing, and incredibly fair portion sizes. Me and my friend couldn't finish it all (though we could have had seconds if we had a couple more pints) Very friendly staff, smiles on their faces (and gave up extra papadams) Don't take my word on it, try it for yourself (however you should take my word on it, it's very good) Yours sincerely, Me P.S. We are both hospitality workers and figured we should leave a review since it was so good.

Best curry ever ! Highly recommend!

Easton spice is mainly a takeaway but when it isn't busy, they will serve you inside the pub. You order by going to a tiny booth, the server was very polite and gave decent descriptions of the dishes. The £15 deal on a Tuesday is incredible value for money, but the normal menu is well priced. The atmosphere is a bit odd because of the set up, but it was clean and spacious. The food has wonderful bold flavours, and you can taste (and see) the whole spices they use to boost the aromatics of each dish. Both the lamb Goan curry and chicken dansak were fantastic, although you must be able to handle your spice if you go above 🌶️ on the menu! Overall, one of the best Indian curries I've had and definitely worth a visit.

We had one of the best Indian dinners here in a long time. I think the combination of pub and Indian food is great! We would come back at any time! Great service, the food came quickly and everyone was very friendly! Many greetings from Switzerland!

Tasty and reasonably priced food. Located in the back of a pub but take away only via phone or just pop in. Portions were generous and we particularly enjoyed the dahl, paratha and chicken shashlik. Pleasant staff.

Another excellent takeaway . Let down again by Veezu Cars for a visit into the City for some supper, we opted for a Easton Spice takeaway . Delivery to the door within 45 minutes and very good it was too! Lamb Rogan Joss , Goan lamb etc . Excellent portions and again very good quality food .

There was a technical issue with the just eat app. This caused a few delays but the team at eastern spice were great. Stayed in contact to update me on the issues and got everything resolved quickly. As always, food was delivered quickly and was fantastic.

Went to Bath for the weekend and stumbled across this little gem attached to the George & Dragon local pub. The menu was surprisingly extensive and when our meals arrived we were blown away. The poppadums were seved first along with the chutney tray followed by the mains (Goan Sea Bass and Salmon Shashlik) with the usual trimmings. The blend and balance of the spices were absolutely spot on and it was obvious that the chef was a time served professional. We absloutley devoured everything and we were so impressed we went back the following night for another pop at the menu and were equally impressed. The waiter was excellent and we would strongly recommend this high class eatery to anyone who appreciates top end Indian cuisine.

We recently stayed in the local area at the top of Solsbury Hill….we ordered a delivery which arrived within the hour. The food was piping hot, plentiful and super tasty….great curry and excellent service. Thank you for going the extra mile to deliver to us in a remote spot!

Wow. Best Indian takeaway I’ve had. Ordered as a family meal for 6 adults and each of us commented on how delicious it was. Amazing flavours!

As usual a very nice order but everything was almost cold. Poppadoms were soggy and soft.

Terrible food My wife ordered chickenbiryani witch was spicy, i had a chicken vindaloo witch had what looked like black/ burnt rice so did my wifes horrible And got charged £38 would not go again

Such a lovely evening for my partners birthday, we had a young child and a tween with us in a large party and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. Then the FOOD was just DELICIOUS. Definitely will be back.

Really tasty Currys, dips and poppadoms are really good

This place sits just behind the local pub. The pub itself is a fine traditional affair with a good choice of beers and pleasant welcome. Drinks you get at the bar and take through to the restaurant. Great selection of fresh Indian food at very reasonable prices. Will be back

Unusual choice of dishes on the menu. I had the Portuguese lamb curry which was very good with my favourite aubergine bhaji while my husband tried the Easton Blue spice prawns which were huge and very tasty. The adjoining pub was great value and we hit free pool night (Friday and Saturday). All in all a friendly place with delicious food and beer.

On a 3 day visit to Bath, read reviews of the restaurant, looked ok. After eating there, it felt like the food is not cooked fresh on premise, but pre-prepared and microwaved when ordered. Felt it was quite expensive for what it was. The food came out very quickly, adding to the assumption it was microwaved. Service was minimal. Whilst it was not horrible, I wouldn’t go there again. Restaurant was empty, no one else dining.

We had not used Easton Spice previously . Our loss ! We ordered a two Take Away meals - a Jhalfrezi Lamb and a Dolcha Lamb, with Pilau Rice and Special Rice . Delivered by a charming Lady within 30 minutes, it was truly quality and excellent. Both my Wife and Self thought it was the best Indian Meal we had eaten for a long, long while . Portions generous too . So I can I only recommend very highly. We shall certainly be ordering again soon and perhaps try the Restaurant there too. There are some disappointing Indian Takeaways in Bath. This was a delight to find and deserves good local support.

Superb service, great food - chef suggested that we allow him creative licence with the type of 'gravy' and we were very pleased with the result - very tasty. Drinks are served at the bar to the side of the restaurant. The car park is a 'pay & display', but if you are eating at the restaurant, car parking is free - just register the vehicle reg on the tablet at the counter. Will be attending again very soon.

Wonderful surprise for 3 visitors from New Zealand to find a great selection of dishes to choose from. The 3 of us chose the vindaloo (hot), Easton Spice Blue (medium) and Spice 65 (mild). All had a wonderful layer of authentic spice, and complexity of flavour. Fantastic staff and service. Very friendly and helpful. Loved the pub and staff next door too.

Staying in Batheaston from NZ and enjoyed a wonderful flavoursome meal. Great service and loved the banter about cricket. It was great how it was connected to the local pub. Highly recommended.

This place was recommended by a local shopkeeper when we said we wanted to eat locally (we were staying about 4 miles away). The food was delicious, and the service very attentive. The restaurant looks very modest from the outside, but it is a friendly place, and I would recommend it if you are in the area.

In the back of an unprepossessing pub, extremely modest setting, yet to my complete surprise the best curry I’ve ever had. I had the Easton Spice Blue tiger prawns and it was just unbelievable. Charming staff. I would travel quite a long way to have it again.

The Bhuna had a strange taste like it had been over cooked or bottom of pan was burnt. More chicken pieces in the dishes for the price would have been better. The rest of the food was nice . Korma good and chicken tender.

I was suggested this place by my mum and so happy i ordered! i came to collect and was greeted by a smiley and attentive waiter (top notch customer service skills) i ordered the nan bread which i highly recommend and it was the best nan bread i’ve had. the rice is cooked perfectly as well as the chicken tikka. the sauce for the chicken tikka was such a nice consistency. honestly, if you’re looking for high standards and exceptional indian food, this is the place to go!! i do hope to come in sometime and actually eat there! :)

Needed a biryani the day after a posh (but slow) meal and Easton Spice did not disappoint. Cosy room at the back of the pub. Great quality food and friendly service. The biryani lamb was tender with no fatty bits. Good rice with crispy onion garnish and coriander - could taste the various ingredients. Certainly not bland. Can recommend!

Small Indian restaurant in the back of the local pub St George’s Dragon. Very tasty Indian food. Drinks you get from the pub. The papadums and sauces are great as well as the nans and the chicken green curry we had. If you like Indian food, try this restaurant. They also have a take away service.

Every meal we get from here is cooked with care. A lovely treat every single time with freebies like poppadoms. Always well packaged and accurate with nothing missing. So glad that Easton Spice is so close to where we live!

There food taste is really bad with worst behaviour

Absolutely delicious food. Tastes proper home cooked. Not swimming in oil like a lot of Indian food can be. Staff are very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Would highly recommend. Excellent value too.

Ordered on justeat Food 25 mins late despite ordering 90 mins in advance which was a poor start Then arrived without the breads we’d ordered Curry was well below average and hardly any meat in all of the three meat dishes we ordered. Very poor value. Possibly worst curry we’ve experienced Avoid.

I have rated my experience a five out of five because I wanted an Indian for a lomg time and have tried a few place before but had never tried this place in the heart of Batheasten

We enjoyed a lovely take away there for the family. It was lovely to phone up, collect the order and be greated by the friendly and welcoming staff there.

If we could have given zero stars we would. Delivery driver phoned expecting us to walk a few minutes to him to collect our order-had we wanted to leave the apartment we wouldn’t of ordered a takeaway. Food was not hot and was well below average. Would not recommend.

Wow, what a surprise! Didn't know what to expect really, as it was just a little restaurant tacked onto the back of a pub, and it was empty. But certainly never judge a book by it's cover. I had lamb Madras, and it was delicious, nice bit of heat, and absolutely packed with flavour, enjoyed every mouthful. My wife equally enjoyed her lamb Saag, certainly the best Madras I've ever had, and a contender for the tastiest curry, pretty reasonably priced too. We were on holiday, wish it was my local!

Just back from a delicious meal at this restaurant. Beautiful food - all freshly made on the premises. Many dishes you just won’t find in your ‘standard’ curry restaurant. Had the king prawns and the ‘65’ with Mushroom Rice and Peshwari naan.

Brilliant food and service, couldn't fault it , even slightly changed the dish for my wife when requested chicken instead of lamb .
