Fantastic food! We had the taster menu with wines, and it was worth every penny. We loved the explanations of the origins and ingredients of each course. We were a little late dining too, and they stayed open well past their advertised closing just for us (we were long the last people there!). Fantastic service and fantastic food. The price for the taster menu when compared to other top quality restaurants is actually very competitive too. Not just strongly recommended, but we will be back too to try the other menus!

Thank you to Soham, and the team at The Mint Room, for helping us to plan, and then enjoy, out large group reunion dinner last week. Communication was good throughout the planning stage and then on the evening everything ran smoothly....and so many people in the group commented on how delicious the food was. Definitely a "cut-above" most establishments.

We enjoyed a lovely meal at The Mint Room in Bath. Felt very welcome from the moment we entered until the moment we left. We love Indian cuisine and have had it in many different places around the world. This was some of the most flavourful we've ever had. The deconstructed samosa was to die for. We had the Korma, Rogan Josh, Murgh and the Tikka masala. All were distinctive in their flavors and all absolutely delicious. The garlic Naan was also amazing. Definitely recommended this place if you're heading to Bath and love Indian food.

We have just returned home from having the most amazing experience at Mint Room Bath. From the moment we walked through the door until we left the service was exceptional! Attention to detail, atmosphere and service blew us away. The food - wow! We went for the tour of India tasting menu which was out of this world - we were given a description of each dish and the region it came from - it was quite the experience. All the the staff were friendly and knowledgable but particularly Soham and Shahad who have world class service - thanks to them we have left wanting to return! Thank you guys - we will be back!

Incredible experience at this fantastic restaurant. We were just passing through on the way to Cornwall and booked in on the strength of their reviews. We had the taster menu which was amazing, specially the lamb chops and the dessert. I experienced a new taste which is saying something after many decades on this earth. We spent a lovely meal here for our anniversary. The staff could not do enough for us and the food is absolutely delicious. The roof terrace is a great feature and is also covered with heating, perfect for an English summer! Would highly recommend.

I have wanted to try the Mint Rooms for years as its reputation precedes it. My mum & I ate there this evening and it was a gastonomic delight… it did not disappoint. The service was so warm and attentive and we were talked through the origins of the dishes we chose, from Kerala to Bangladesh. We were on holiday in Bath and looked for an Indian restaurant on Tripadvisor. Lt. Based on the reviews, we went to the Mint Room and were not disappointed in any way. The waiter who served us started talking to us. He gave us good advice. The food was excellent and we got a small dessert on the house at the end, which was also delicious. All in all we were extremely impressed. Only to recommend.

My wife and I ate there again last night. My daughter lives nearby and we usually get takeaways because the food is so good. We weren't disappointed, once again the food was exceptional, every mouthful a delight. It may be a little more expensive than some Indian restaurants but there is a reason for that, the food is in a different class. Fantastic friendly service too. I'd recommend it without reservation.

First time in Bath and In UK, we were looking for a restaurant open a bit late Sunday night. We had a really amazing dining experience at the Mint Room. The staff were all really lovely and attentive, special thank’s to Shahed who was a great host, he was really polite and friendly and looked after us. What a fabulous Indian dining experience! We had the superb tasting menu which was perfect and so tasty. Good value for money too. Lovely team led by Soham who ensure we had a great evening. Thank you. We will be back. Heads up to other first timers - parking is tricky so leave lots of time to find a space and walk to the restaurant.

Indian Cuisine with a twist. A modern take on your usual Indian restaurant. Decor is great, service is excellent and the food is wonderful. All the usual traditional dishes but a whole host of modern dishes which are beautifully executed and taste wonderful. I wouldn’t hesitate to go again. So refreshing to have something different in an Indian Restaurant.

Exceptional service and phenomenal dishes! My partner and I have always enjoyed Indian food, so for our anniversary I booked a table The Mint Room. Being our first time in Bath, and England in general, we were hoping to share some elevated Indian food together. We were not disappointed! Not only was the tasting menu some of the best Indian cuisine we’d ever had, but the service was incredibly kind and welcoming also. Our waiters enthusiastically explained each of the dishes, helping to better immerse us in the experience and provide us with a greater appreciation for the meal. Afterward, we were even given 2 complimentary espresso martinis to commemorate the occasion. Would absolutely recommend!

Had the tasting menu @£45 per person. Food was excellent and the tasting menu enabled me to try dishes I would not ordinarily order . It’s different to a standard curry house and the flavours are authentic and tasty . Definitely worth doing as a one off but it’s not cheap having spent £134 for 2 people with 5 small cobras to compliment the menu

Have been several times before. The food is always great. Staff are friendly. Tonight was spoiled completely by the overbearing thumping from the music on the roof terrace that drowned out the background jazz, made it difficult to understand the staff and got in the way of good conversation.

Sent me into an instant violent spin of food poisoning that left spewing liquids out of EACH end.

I have visited The Mint Room several times and have never been disappointed. It is by far the best Indian in Bath and I would whole heartily recommend a visit. The only one problem is the difficulty in finding parking space close by the restaurant.

If you love trying new foods with loads of flavour you MUST TRY THE TASTER MENU! Wow, what an incredible place, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was amazing and the service was outstanding… shout out to our lovely waiter Shahed Ahmed! Best Indian cuisine I have ever tried and I’m from Birmingham so that’s saying something. We were highly recommended this restaurant by friends back at home and they definitely delivered! Came here last week for my sisters 30th. Three of us visiting from Nottingham for the weekend and found this restaurant online. Beautiful inside. Staff were very attentive throughout our whole meal and couldn't ask for more from them. Highlight for me was the samosa chaat starter. Chaat is one of my favourite Indian foods and this was different to any I've had before. It was absolutely delicious. Arrive with an empty stomach as the portions are generous and everything delicious. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and what a great end to my sisters 30th celebration weekend.

My husband and I visited The Mint Room for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We arrived early, which was not a problem. Our waiter, Sohan, was very attentive but not obtrusive. We decided on the tasting menu which offered the chance to taste food from different regions of India. We were not disappointed. Using flavours and styles that ranged from street food to Keralan fish curries, everything was delicious. Each dish had a depth of flavour and everything was beautifully presented. We were talked through each dish and Sohan's enthusiasm for the food with which we were being presented added to the experience. The starter of Indian street food dishes was our favourite. We left feeling just the right amount of full and very satisfied.

Came here on the recommendation of my daughter and son-in-law. They had the tasting menu and wine - so did we. What can I say? We were blown away as every single course was amazing. Cooked to perfection, delicately spiced but bursting with flavour - and paired perfectly with the accompanying wine. I loved the street food starter and everything that came after it. My wife, not that keen on fish, loved the sea bass and especially the lamb. In fact, we both cleaned every single plate. Please take a chance and step outside your comfort zone. This is Indian cuisine at it's finest. Elevated to a whole new level. And to cap it all - the service is first class from start to finish. I only wish I lived closer. We travelled 3 hours from Essex to visit Bath - and have not been disappointed.

Had the most wonderful evening, with great staff - was served by Siham Mirashi who took time to explain each meal, let us sample wines before deciding and surprised us with our main course. Oh dear. I have not been to the Mint Room for a few years now. It used to be one of my favourite restaurants in Bath and I was looking forward to my return trip. It was disappointing I'm afraid. I won't do a blow-by-blow of the food but the highlights were the starters which were very tasty and got us off to a good start. The rest of the food was tepid, served on cold plates, which made things worse, and were really quite bland. The biriani was a very sad affair and the halibut steak was just very odd indeed. The halibut was served (on a cold plate) with equally cold sticks of carrot and a couple of mange tout (why!?). The sauce (also tepid) was a thick, slightly creamy, tasteless gloop. The fish was full of bones making it almost inedible. The side dishes were bog-standard Indian fare which is sad when this place used to always have dishes that were unusual and interesting. I won't be returning any time soon I'm afraid.

Our first visit to The Mint Room was in February and we enjoyed it so much we had to return again for the tasting menu with the wine flight. First thing I would like to comment about is the excellent service, the staff are very friendly which adds to the dining experience and they also explain each course when it arrives. The flavours, presentation and quality of food are some of the best Indian food we’ve had. If you like good quality Indian food please visit The Mint Room you will not be disappointed!! Food Amazing! A mixed review due to very slow service of food. We booked a table for 7pm some weeks in advance. The reservation stated we needed to be out by 9pm. We arrived on time and ordered the tasting menu - which is really great. The starters arrived relatively quickly but then we had to wait an hour before the main course despite repeated assurances that the food would only be 5-10 minutes more. The main course arrived at 9.20pm. By the time we had eaten it we abandoned desserts (even though they were included in the menu price). The manager told us that they were down two chefs in the kitchen. My observation is that they continued to take Just eat take away / delivery bookings despite a lot of frustrated diners in the dining room. Maybe next time it would be faster to sit at the table and order a takeaway for the table! The food was excellent and cocktails interesting but this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. Mint Room: please decide if you are going to be a restaurant or a takeaway. What you are doing currently doesn’t work.

What a gem.of a find. From the point if entering the restaurant we were greeted with a smile and the utmost courtesy. The restaurant is scrupulously clean and the furnishings very stylish. With a varied menu to choose from each dish was a treat for the taste buds. I chose a vegetarian biryani and my husband chose the chicken tikka jalfrezi. Each dish was discussed in detail and we were asked about our preferences for either very spicy or not to spicy. Bursting with flavour these dishes were simply amazing. We will definitely be back to sample more on their sumptuous menu. Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable experience

Brilliant Indian restaurant. The food is great (my favourite is the spinach lamb) and excellent value given the high standard. The decor is lovely and the staff charming. Can’t recommend it enough. The fact that it is so popular despite it being a bit of a walk out of the centre of Bath says it all. Can’t wait to go back.

The place to eat in Bath. Went here last night with my wife and a couple of friends, the food was outstanding. We had the taster menu between us and every dish was superb, from the Indian street food starters to the gorgeous mains of butter chicken and beef chaat. The service from the staff was excellent and very friendly, they explained to us what each of the dishes were and what part of India they were from. We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Look it’s ok - good service but I just think at this price it needs to be better. Starters were excellent - soft shell crab and the paneer with fig were delicious But the lamb and duck mains were poor. The lamb was really difficult to eat as it didn’t fall off the bone and had certainly not had hours and hours of slow cooking. And the sauce needed a lift from either salt or citrus. At £20 for a main this isn’t good enough

The third time we’ve been here. The first time for the tasting menu was so good we returned and ate a la carte. It was OK. We returned to try the tasting menu again and were disappointed. Probably, our last visit. My wife and daughter had to keep their coats on as the restaurant was cold. How did the staff not notice this? Much of the food was also cold . I’m not sure if the sea bass course is meant to be chilled but it was! The glasses of wine in the wine flight were simply plonked on the table. During our previous visit they were explained. I made the mistake of asking for a Cobra beer and the waiter suggested a pint. Two bottled beers appeared with a pint glass - £9.00 plus 12.5% service! Service was adequate but certainly not worth the £25 charged as part of our bill for £226 for the three of us. At these prices you expect better service, a warm atmosphere ( both from the staff and the heating system) and better food. There was only one other table eating on a Tuesday evening. Maybe junior staff work on quiet nights and things may be better at the weekend. In all, a very disappointing evening.

Suddenly Googled this place and visited for dinner. To our surprise this turned out quite well in terms of the taste of the different dishes we tried. Overall quite satisfied. Would recommend.

We visited here during a stay to Bath for a 65th Birthday trip and chose the Taste of India tasting menu. From start to finish it was a truly luxurious and indulgent experience. The staff were amazing and talked us through each course explaining its components and where in India it was from. Every bite was outstanding. One member of our party has a severe seafood (molluscs and crustaceans) allergy which we notified the restaurant of during booking and they went out of their way to ensure she could eat every course, talking the menu through with her before we confirmed our orders of the tasting menu and checking in throughout the night to ensure she was enjoying her food. They didn’t hesitate to make a change to one course (removing caviar) and that means so much to us as some restaurants have in the past refused. The level of customer service we experienced was more than outstanding and they made our whole night feel so special (even adding a birthday candle to the dessert). I cannot recommend this place enough and if we lived closer than 2 hours away it would be our regular restaurant; every plate that passed me for other diners looked mouth-watering and I want to try them all! Thank you to everyone at The Mint Room for making our night so memorable and delicious!

Lovely, friendly staff and a fantastic tasting menu. Had the flight of wine with it. Both were great value. Only complaint was that it was too much food. Overly positive reviews always look fake, so I should point out that the toilets were a bit cold! Only thing they do wrong - really.
