We stayed in Bath for a few days and really fancied spicy food, our choice was Indian temptation( more by accident than design. )What a lovely find, Staff were great the food was excellent. Vegetarian food only but really delicious. Thanks for looking after us .

Worst Experience as customer service was at its peak from bottom. No manners how to approach and to talk a conversation. Manager should go and take a training to train its team. Should never recommend this indian restaurant to any other person

Highly recommend! I had a korma and lemon rice from the (very extensive) vegan menu. Delicious food, friendly staff and a lovely peaceful atmosphere. I will definitely recommend to friends and return when next in Bath.

I went with my daughter for dinner and food was delicious and we loved the new mocktails, we thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend.

The portion sizes are extremely small. The naan bread was good but the rest of the portion sizes were small compared to the price of the item.

I have visited this restaurant several times and the food always good, when it arrives. Yesterday was our third time..We have recommended it to many of our friends. Their experience of visiting was not good at all, we were also not happy to hear this. And yesterday I felt the same ..i think they changed the chef. Yesterday the food was very bad, the corn potato cutlets were completely raw from inside and the koftas of Temptation Kofta Curry were also raw and soggy. Food has no flavour, the gravy of Butter Paneer and Temptation Kofta Curry was tasteless yesterday. Kiwi mint fizz was the biggest joke ever .. no flavour at all.. it was just lots of ice cube with dash of mint.. Overall experience was a disaster and I m sure I won't put my foot in again.

Very good food and friendly service

The food was amazing,we ordered Paneer Butter Masala and Breads were superb I must say....the service offered was also very good, a special call out to Meghan K. for such a good service. All in all a good place to go for yummy food.

Lovely authentic food a year ago .... New update. This is the third time I have had food at this place. Usual spot every time I visited Bath. Almost the same order paneer items. The paneer was spiked and had the pink mold. Saw it in the last bite and couldn't help. Informed to the person there and they confronted it was a good paneer and it is masala that we are seeing. Never seen a pink masala and I can definitely differentiate between a pink mold and masala. They didn't care about it. Neither did anything to help. Fast forward to next day(today) food poisoning to one and stomach ache to the other. The masala tea they offer is the English tea with less/no milk in it. Never have it unless u want water with a thin flavor of tea. Pls don't assume masala tea in an Indian restaurant would be the regular Indian tea. The lassi especially the mango lassi doesn't have sugar in it and u r not given sugar sachet unless asked for. We didn't ask as we got it with the tea flavored water. Looks like the menu changed from the last time we visited and this new menu isn't worth it. Absolutely less rice options and two of them are almost the same and the next two are not so great. Service was still fine except for the paneer issue. For which they said the paneer was fresh while it had the pink mold. I have personally worked with pink mold in my lab. And I know and made paneer at home several times. And I am pretty sure of how a masala would look like. Based on the fact that the paneer was hard and slightly burnt I should have understood it was spoiled. Hard paneer and we foolishly thought it was on the verge of expiry only to réalisé it expired long ago. Never coming again. Seems like there are far more healthy options around Bath.

Great food, excellent service and picturesque view from the restaurant!

Tried Indian food for the first time in Bath. Finely decorated with varieties of Vegetarian Indian dishes. The taste was pure Indian, spiced perfectly. Tried Dosha - was a little disappointed with coconut chutney but it was a great experience.

Dined at Indian temptation on 20th April 2024. What a superb experience. The best Indian food I have ever had. We ordered the Grazing Platter & Grand Thali & garlic naan & we couldn't eat it all as the portions are very generous. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful & efficient & even came back to say I had paid too much & offered a refund so I explained that the food was so fantastic that the large overpayment was deliberate. Lovely view of The Abbey was a bonus. We will certainly return asap. Thank you to all at Indian Temptation for an amazing night.

Food was Terrible and so as the customer service. Idli was cold and hard, dosa was cold too. Oil dripping from Samosa… when we complained about food being cold they were least bothered. Will never go to this restaurant again

We had a mixed experience. The ambience was inviting, with a pleasant welcome and the food was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. However, the service left something to be desired. While the staff was friendly, there were noticeable delays in receiving our food. Despite this setback, I appreciated their attentiveness. Overall can say they have potential, but improvements in service efficiency would greatly enhance the dining experience.

Beautiful interior, including the bathroom! And a view of the cathedral. The loveliest, friendliest people. And amazing, amazing food. And lots of gluten free and vegetarian options! It is my favourite restaurant.

Really great restaurant with very delicious vegetarian food! As someone who is not familiar with the foods, the waiter was really helpful in answering questions and recommending the best options. Highly recommend the Hakka Chilli Paneer and the temptation kofta.

This place is best for indian veg food. Highly recommend the hakka chilli paneer for starters and paneer butter masala for mains. The mango lassi was also very delicious. The staff meghan and kranti were helpful and their recommendations were top notch. Must visit place.

This restaurant overlooks Bath Abbey (up a flight of stairs) and is wonderful! The vegan and gluten-free options are epic!

What a great restaurant. Lovely owners and serving staff. Fantastic food. I have eaten dosas in many places from India to London, Harrow, Southall, Hounslow and can honestly say that this is one of the best. Just the right blend of spices and lovely chutney and sambhar. Starters - chiili paneer, kale bhajia and bhel poori equally delightful.

I would say the best samosa chaat I have had in UK. The temptation naan and paneer butter masala was too rich in flavours. Indian temptation is a must try restaurant.

Came here on a weekday night with my wife. My first impression was great. The restaurant was quite spacious, clean, and have relaxing atmosphere filled with good playlist of songs. The details of menu and prices were displayed in the picture below, as of February 2024. We ordered Grand Thali and Cheese Naan. The Grand Thali is like a plate full of various side dishes to taste to. The portion was enough for two people, and the prices were reasonable. My wife loves the combination of Cheese Naan dipped with Paneer Masala, which was delicious. This restaurant really gave us a top tier taste of Indian cuisine particularly in Bath city. The customer service was also great. A waitress named Kushali seems to have a comprehensive knowledge on Indian dishes, and she explained to us about the menus really well. Shoutout to a staff named Kranti as well, for following up to us and offered to give us a free add on rice. Overall experience in this restaurant was amazing. Highly recommended, and for sure we'll repeat coming here again in the future.

We ate only idl and uthapum . Both of us have food poisoning abd still recovering with terrible vomiting and diarreah . I don’t think the batter or Dahl was fresh . Would not recommend or go here again

One of the best places to have authentic india food & flavours. We had a day trip to bath and fancied some Indian food, going to this restaurant was the best decision

Visit was Friday 12th January 2024. We ordered the thali at £22 per person. The food was mostly wet dipping sauce for two very bland items. No spice, no flavours and very basic at best. The most plain tasting vegetarian food I’ve ever eaten. Staff were non existent once the food was dropped on the table, no check back but plenty of eyes watching during our visit. The bill was dropped on the table without a decent interaction from I guess the owner or manager? As a chef I definitely would not recommend this restaurant to either vegetarians or anyone looking for a nice experience.

The food is extremely bad they gave us stale food came to bath for a day didn’t enjoy anything because of food poisoning spoilt our whole day and the night in bath. Paid £60 for absolutely nothing. Please never try this restaurant it’s a waste of money, time and energy.

Gorgeous, friendly, warm, inviting, sumptuous and affordable vegetarian Indian food. The staff are so kind and welcoming and you’re made to feel really comfortable and given lots of time to relax and order and enjoy your food and the ambiance. Not too fussy … just perfect

The fact it's vegetarian is a red herring, Forgive the pun. The key thing is that the food and flavours are just brilliant. And great value too. It's a nice setting and has friendly, attentive staff. Recommended.

Best veggie Indian restaurant in Bath, very good

Absolutely horrible experience. Was scolded by one of the staff to sit “properly” while I was literally in the middle of settling in. It was literally 2 mins after I entered. On entering we were told to compulsorily pay 10 percent service charge. On ordering a rice and naan after we placed our mains order, we were again told off to order everything at once. Would not recommend anyone to go there.

Excellent Restaurant with True Indian flavour. Enjoyed lunch here with many Indian dishes. Everything was excellent with True Indian flavour. Happy to see Odisha Applique on wall. Highly recommend.

Came here just after 3pm and got a table for three with my two sons, we all had Masala Dosa and although it’s now 8.50 compared to the pre-lockdown 6.50 it’s very decent dosa, although maybe a bit more filling would be good, the sambar and coconut chutney were all excellent and we all enjoyed the experience.

Arrogant Staff, congested place, food not so authentic, not worth the price, especially those Thalis. 10% service charge on the top. Avoid!!

We (4 adults + 3 children) visited the restaurant on our day out to Bath. We were very excited to see the good reviews. We ordered the Vegetarian Thali, a couple of starters, bread basket and the paneer butter masala curry. The starters came first and were good. We enjoyed them. Next came the Thali, the portion sizes we were really surprised by. For £22, the portions of each dish on the Thali was limited. When ordering, looking at the price, we assumed the quantity to be enormous. Even an unlimited Thali doesn't cost this much. We had to order extra rice (charged extra) which came in a tiny bowl. It's a real shame that the portion sizes were so small, given the cost! Nice food, but definitely not worth the price.

A fantastic meal with our friend and her brother, who is visiting from the USA. We love this restaurant. The service is top and the veggie & vegan food always excellent. We were pleased to see it packed out. I would highly recommend and you don’t need to be a vegetarian to enjoy the food.

I love going to this restaurant and I've never had anything that wasn't excellent here. These veggie versions of all the typical Indian restaurant dishes are actually more interesting, and there's also lots of exciting less commonly offered items on the menu too. The staff are very nice and I also like that there's a wide range of drinks available.

Booked a table for 2 weeks in advance and we weren't disappointed. It is a little cramped in here but it wasn't an issue. There is a great atmosphere and the staff are brilliant. The food is the best Indian we have tasted in a long time. Would definitely eat here again and highly recommend it.

One of the best north indian vegetarian thali ever had in England. There were around 10 different dishes and all of them were perfect. Good service too. Would highly recommend.

Probably one of the nicest Indian meals I have had in some time. We liked it so much that we went there two days in a row! Plenty of options for even the fussiest vegetarian - me - to choose from. Our host was delightful, offering suggestions and an insight into the inspiration behind the restaurant. Stunning food though, really great value also. Over the two visits we had a Thali, paneer tikka, create our own dosa, onion bhaji, and hot idli. My favourite has to be the samosa chat, this was outrageous, I had this twice! I would recommend going here when visiting Bath. I will be doing so on my next visit.

A quick pre-theatre lunch. Great view from the window. Speedy, helpful staff. Tasty sev puri to share. The food is fresh and all the dishes we have tried, both on this visit and previously have been lovely

Let me tell you, it was flavorful and hit the spot. One thing that stood out was how they focus on sustainability. I heard they source local ingredients, which is a big plus in my book. And if you've got room for dessert, go for the Gulab Jamun—you won't regret it. If you're in the area and craving something that's not only delicious but also meat-free, do yourself a favor and drop by. I know I'll be back the next time I'm in Bath!

Very delicious and authentic Indian food!

Pros: previously Excellent food with fantastic options for vegans and people with gluten or other intolerances. Cons: in the last few years the quality has changed and the restaurant badly needs investment as the condition of the interiors isn’t great and is quite run down. We had a huge wait for food when we ate there last so we haven’t gone back in about 6 months.

Absolutely delicious, excellent price. All veggie and vegan dishes. Really nice people, will happily go again.

Finding a fully vegetarian menu in this city was a relief because it’s difficult to go somewhere as a vegetarian and be able to eat EVERYTHING. It was worth every penny to try the amazing food. Totally in love with the south Indian cuisine; it all tasted wholesome and authentic. Despite the hectic environment, the employees moved quietly and effectively while still offering exceptional service. The excellent mango lassi was my favourite part of the event.
