Food was very nice but wouldn’t expect you to charge me £5 for a pot of Mango Chutney after first serving me one with a long black head hair in it? Pretty disgusting but apparently not your fault because nobody who works there has long hair… Poor service and response to my obvious disgust at this which is a shame as I would’ve liked to have returned in the future. Hopefully you can take this feedback constructively for how you treat future customers.

We came here on Monday. We were a part of 12 family members ranging in age from 15 to 80. The staff were fantastic. The food was amazing and the drinks were great too. Lovely food but the restaurant was being plastered and redecorated and didn't really provide much of an atmosphere. Felt maybe they should have closed for a day of so until finished, rather than expect customers to eat whilst work in progress.

Food was great as always but service was poor. If I book a table for 3 people I don’t expect to be sat on a 5/6 round table struggling to talk. On top of that, having food and drinks taken away prematurely was frustrating. Will order a takeaway but won’t be in a rush to eat in again

OK me and my girl popped in here today..ordered a Byriani and a Chicken Madras..Now my favourite Indian dish is a Keema Madras,I've always purchased this dish from the same Indian takeaway for the last 18 years! and I have been to a few restaurants and asked for this dish as it is not usually on the menu,and every time they have presented me with the dish it does NOT compare to what i have been ordering for all thoyeasr.So I thought I'd ask at this restaurant if they could rustle up me a Keema Madras? I was very sceptical as no one could match my regular Indian..let me tell you I was amazed! They produced a KEEMA MADRAS like No other!! Absolutely amazing!! Highly recommend this place..been eating Indian food for 35 Years..so know what I am talking about..👳‍♂️👌

I have used the restaurant regularly but today had a takeaway. One dish was ok but the other was awful - the onion in the curry was completely raw - crunching up chunks and small pieces of raw onion made this inedible. New chef ?

Book your table as it's a very popular place. There were 8 of us and the staff were very attentive and quick with the food and drinks.

We had a large group (13) of guys mostly on the wrong side of 60. We had pre ordered our menu choices to speed up service and it worked very well. Popadoms were ready as soon as we sat down and the starter sharing platters arrived soon afterwards, they were excellent. The 13 curries and rice and naan all arrived together and everyone got exactly what they had ordered. Everyone said the food was excellent and the service for such a large group was also excellent.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. We were lucky to get a table as very, very busy but there had just been a cancellation so all good. This was our first visit but we shall certainly be back as the meal was fabulous. Everything we tried was delicious and very well spiced. The staff were all very friendly and couldn’t have been more attentive especially with how busy they were all evening. Booking very much advisable for sure!

Tandoori Garden is my go to restaurant in Keynsham. The food is of a high quality with the richy flavoured meals executed well. The staff are courteous and helpful. Always busy at the usual busy hours so if you really want to go here booking in advance is advisable. It is also possible to get a nice take out from here.

Great food, expensive beer though! But did have Malabar Blonde IPA which is a plus.

6 of us had an amazing meal at the Tandoori Garden last night. All our curries and sides were beautifully fresh and tasty. Service and atmosphere were excellent. Onion bhajis were the best I have ever had!

My favourite Indian Restaurant in Bristol! All my family and friends loves this restaurant so so much, my favourite curry is the lamb Naga, the chips are so good also, poppadom's and dips are lush! everything is amazing. we love the service, prosecco is also gorgeous. They give you a rose at the end of the service also - love this touch. Jazz & Team your the best!

What an end to the night! Food and service were great up to the point they gave half of our table away to another group. Our children had walked to the local supermarket whilst the adults were enjoying drinks. We weren’t too bothered by this but when we explained our children had no where to sit and were now stood outside the restaurant we were told we should have told them the children weren’t coming back and that we outstayed our booking! When we had booked we were not told there was a time limit. We didn’t want to make a fuss when the table was being given away because it would have been unfair on the people that were given the table. The restaurant manager was so rude!! Was telling us to leave and being very aggressive. Several staff swore at us.and were confrontational. We’d never go back based on this experience

Had a lovely meal tonight at Tandoori Keynsham. Food was absolutely delicious and service was attentive and friendly. I had a chicken tikka bhuna, so so good! We will certainly be back!

We enjoyed our food and the ambience of the restaurant was lovely. It was a very relaxed atmosphere. One of our party for medical reasons only eats small portions, it's states on the menu that everyone has to have a main meal.we did not realise until we were seated, but the waiter was very good and this was soon sorted. Plates were cleared when someone was still eating. I could see this made them uncomfortable . Overall, it was a lovely evening. I've just been back for a second time. Food was lovely, unfortunately, a few hiccups, our table was not ready until 30min after the time of booking. We had to chase up drink and food orders as they did not all come out together. They were very busy. I think whoever is in charge of front of house needs more control. Would visit again but a bit chaotic when busy.

Terrible service. Not a good experience. Food ok. We had to ask consistently for service. To take our order, to order more drinks and to clear the table. Eating out is about the whole experience, not just the food. The restaurant was busy, however, if unable to provide decent table service, which was obviously the case, don’t take so many bookings. Won’t be rushing back.

An absolute gem of a restaurant. They fit us in for a takeaway even though they were packed out and we weren’t disappointed. Chicken tikka garlic and King prawn patia were incredible.

We came here on Xmas eve, we were able to be given a seat straight away. Staff were so lovely, we had poppodoms and pickles in sight in minutes, we had wine served quickly and then food followed. The tandoori fish was the just insanely amazing and the peshwari chicken curry was so well done, usually can be bland and saucey where as the one here had the right consistency and kick. Overall this is a great Indian, it made me really happy. We also had a free glass of wine and I really like hot towels after Indian food so I also got given two. Thank you tandoori garden, we will be back!!

Food overall was good; however, the service was diabolical. As an example, whilst we were eating poppadom's, the starter appeared, rather than leave the poppadom's we had paid for, the staff cleared them away. During the main meal, one of the waiters reached over to take my half-eaten plate in mid mouthful, and received short shrift. He returned and started to clear up the table, whilst one of our party was still eating. We felt rushed from the start to clearing of the table after 3 courses, it felt like they wanted us out to let the table again. We ordered 3 coffees which took an age to come, surprisingly as the speed they had delivered our meals at!! These got sent back as the cream had gone off and were delivered curdled, more on this later. We decided to cut our losses and asked for the bill, guess what we had been over charged by £36.00 including those coffees. This took an age to sort, but it was eventually sorted after argument. The 2 young lads who waiter, seem to struggle with English. The older gentlemen, was very apologetic. Will I return, no, even though I live in Keynsham and had heard good things about the Tandoori Gardens, my experience was terrible due to the poor service centred around the 2 young waiters and the blatant over charging. Your experience may be better, if you are prepared to take the chance. Food was great though.

Food was great but from the moment we sat down they forced us to order, then when we paid our bill asking us to leave even though we still had drinks and a bottle of wine we just ordered, After which watched us drunk it glass by glass. Great food, zero comfort of experience.

Had a good meal of chicken shashlick sag paneer etc. Very tasty. But I had also ordered a chapati. This arrives on a plate in a clear zip top plastic bag. No comment made by the waiter. So I opened the bag and braved the steam coming out. Pretty obvious thats how the chapati arrives from the wholesalers and you then steam it in the microwave or whatever. Later I asked the older guy walking around what this was for. Gives me some spiel about health and safety and keeping the item away from nuts etc. H and S means me as the customer getting a load of steam shooting over my hand when I unzip the bag. Well you dont serve larger naan breads in a plastic bag do you? So a first for me. Bread in a bag for my dinner. Otherwise place look smart, good clean toilets, easy High Street location and free car parking in the nearby Pay and Display council car parks after 6 p m. Not the cheapest ( bill for me £30 for a fairly simple meal and a pint of Cobra ) but thats how it is now and these guys need to all try and make up for their Covid losses.

Came here for a meal as a group of 6, evening started well however when ordering our 6 drinks they came out with 7, 2 of which were wrong…eventually me managed to get the correct drinks and ordered food after 40 mins, after a while some the food came out, 4 of us had only rice, 3 curry’s came out. A member of staff eventually informed us there was an issue with the order and asked which curry’s/rice and breads were missing, we then had to wait for these to be cooked meaning the rest of the items went cold. Throughout the night we ordered drinks that never showed up meaning we had to go to the bar to order, along various issues with drinks orders as well. When the rest of the food eventually came out the food was actually quite nice, however the service was below standard to say the least.

Have not been here for many years. Atmosphere and surroundings are relaxed and welcoming. Service is a little slow and staff seemed rushed. We only ordered poppadoms as a starter and they took a while to come out. Food was so tasty and cooked well. My friends had a range of meat dishes and they loved it. I ordered the vegan sizzling tamarind with chunky house veg and tofu. Well, as lovely as it tasted, there was definitely a lack of chunky house veg.. there were a couple of onions and something that looked like sweetcorn .. a little disappointing and quite misleading from the description on the menu. Other than my little grumble. All round, would highly reccomend giving it a try. The rose for ladies is a lovely touch too .

We ventured out of Bath to Keynsham High Street to join two friends who eat here a couple of times a month. Food was excellent. Prices were reasonable and staff were friendly. Chicken Karachi Achari was very good and my lamb chops tandoori Bhuna were a generous tasty portion. Complimentary drinks and red roses for the ladies rounded off the evening. Parking in the nearby council car park is free after 6:00 pm.

We've been enjoying Keynsham Tandoori Garden for 24 years now! Through several refurbs, with Jaz's most recent restyling making the restaurant a classy and cosy eatery that competes with the best in Bath. As a host he looks after you like family and as a chef, he wows you with his flavours and presentations. Highly recommend the umptious murghi massala main, and his mixed tandoori starter is best I've ever had.

The food was outstanding, even the pickles were amazing. Fantastic service. I feel the staff went above and beyond to make our night exceptional.

I have never witnessed such a shambolic service. From the start my starter was late everyone in our group had eaten before I was served, the same occured with the main meal. Confusion over, who had ordered what. This was only my second visit, and more than likely my last. Such a disappointment.

Great food, great service, very good atmosphere, lovely deco, very confortable. Our only issue was the noise level; our table was just next to the bar and toilets, which meant that we heard the noise of empty bottles falling into the bin, the phone constantly ringing for take-away orders and the noise of the hand dryer in the bathroom! All three together made it harder for us to enjoy a quiet dinner. We will ask for a table the opposite side next time, but excellent overall.

After meeting with friends we decided to go for a curry in Keynsham. We have been here before with no problem what so ever hence why we returned. Everything started fine with the senior manager recommending a curry for me instead a phal (I like it very hot) I said that would be fine but I doubt I would find the reconnection hot enough. The waiting staff two younger gentleman from being over drinks and poppodoms seemed not very welcoming or even happy which was shown with communication and just dumping food on table. The problems started when our food arrived and two out of 3 dishes were fine. However my dish seemed to have had a cup of sugar added to it as was extremely sweet , it was so sweet I thought it was a joke. After mentioning this (I got half way through it) the wittier said fine in a sharp tone took it away and then returned 5 minutes with another curry . Now bearing in mind I had eaten half before I raised issue I could only manage half of this. After asking for the bill I noticed I was charged £16.95 for my curry (other two were £11.95) I said to waiter I was not happy paying full price and said I would happily pay £10 . At this point the younger waiters got very aggressive and locked the doors not allowing us to leave , after trying to talk to them and explain my reasoning it was landing on deaf ears. After 15 minutes of arguing the older senior waiter came down and apologies and agreed to the discount for food not being at standard and made the younger waiters unlock the door, after this one of the younger waiters still was swearing at us. We were still hugely over charged , in total the price was £73 for 3 curry’s (£11,95,£11.95 reduced one £10), 3 rice , 1 nann bread , 3 popodoms (they were adamant we had 6 but I only asked for 1 each) and pickle tray, two bottles of wine were purchased cash separate from bill. I’m sure the management will reply denying or putting blame on us but to be locked in and held because I wanted discount on 1 curry that was very poor, to add we agreed to pay for everything else full price. Advice I would give is check your bill and if your not happy be prepared to be challenged by aggressive staff who may lock you in. However the older waiter was very professional.

This restaurant has only just started opening at lunch time & I recommend it as to those who don't like a heavy meal in the evening. It is also extremely busy then. At lunchtime today it was quiet & relaxing. The food was absolutely delicious & the service excellent & attentive. May I suggest that a special lunch-time express menu at a set price might prove popular with locals.

Lovely food. One of the waitresses was really good. We did ask for extra chopped onion, which the waiter said he would get, but it never arrived. Another waitress was quite miserable.

This is one of the very best tandoori restaurants in Bristol been 4 time now and the food is amazing

Great place for indian food. The staff were excellent, the only let down was that the food took too long to come to the table. By the time the last main course arrived the first one was cold. Very busy evening and we had given our order the previous day. Alcohol was a little on the expensive side. We enjoyed the evening.

Really do not like posting average reviews but I have to be honest. Firstly the poor young waitress spilt drinks all over table and my friends phone. She was very apologetic but other staff were in no rush to help her or replace our food/ drinks and I think the drink was just topped up. Food was nice tasting presented etc but that's only half of the experience, check backs were made but interactions did not feel very personable. Another waiter tried and continued to clear our table even when I made a comment that I was still eating, I have worked in hospitality before and would never clear plates until all parties had finished unless they had specifically requested. After this experience I would choose other restaurants on the high street over this one which is a shame. Edit: In response, we did say we weren't impressed but this was ignored. We reassured the waitress as we could see she was mortified. We did not say we had finished I actually said "I'm still eating but I guess so" and my friend said "well my friend is still eating" we did not see any discount on our receipt and we checked as we made sure that a service charge was not added as we would not have paid it in this instance. If you would like to make excuses rather than take ownership about what happened then that is your choice. Hopefully you can learn and move forward from our negative dining experience. I feel my review was fair as was my rating. Most would have given 1* if they had our experience.

This is my third visit and as always the food is great. Tonight however the table behind us was shouting, rowdy, swearing and being just badly behaved. At times we couldn’t hear ourselves talk over one of the party talking loudly about ‘dropping her knife on your cock’ to one of the others in their group. The staff made no effort to stop their bad behaviour or swearing. I couldn’t wait to go home tonight. I wasn’t comfortable asking the party to take the volume and content down.

We turned up without booking and the staff were really friendly, saying if we have a drink in a pub for 15 minutes they'd have a space. The food was really nice, lots of choice. The new decor is much better, would definitely go back again.
