The best restaurants serving Indian food in South East

We went to their Anniversary Dinner last night, it was very busy and had a good atmosphere. We were looked after very well all evening, the food was excellent, a homestyle menu, we had complimentary drinks and a bottle of wine. It’s our only Indian we go to, it’s the best in town!

Amazing Indian food and great service. The quality of the meat is always exceptional and dishes tasty. We regularly eat here and it never disappoints.

We were greeted by Hassan last night who care to make us feel very at home. He made some good suggestions from the menu and enquired as to the heat factor we enjoyed . The pompadoms arrived warm on hot plates and the chutneys were very fresh and tasty We had the king prawn special and a lovely chicken mango dish the naans were soft and freshly made the garlic mushroom rice sublime. The wine list was very reasonable We really enjoyed great service and beautiful food thank you Hassan Tandoori Tim

Wow! Qué experiencia tan increíble. No es tu restaurante indio habitual, diferente a todo lo que he experimentado antes. Platos muy sabrosos y auténticos con sabor. Los lados eran increíbles también, así como la cerveza artesanal! Servicio atento.

Maybe a Friday night is not the best of times, but I was so disappointed. We'd booked early (1845) so beat the rush that shortly ensued, but a quality restaurant should be able to maintain its standards at all times. The SERVICE was EXCELLENT and GRACIOUS, but the food was ABYSMAL - no nose, no taste, no fire at all - I ordered a Royal Venison starter and an Ayre (Catfish) Jalfrazi main - both totally insipid. There were just eight small pieces of fish completely swamped by onions and nondescript goo with no detectable spices as descibed. I would call this this place THE CON MERCHANTS - and I certainly don't recognise it from the website descriptions or some of the many rave revues. Good value, reasonable prices. Generous pickle tray with the poppadoms. We'll worth a visit.

Great night out celebrating a 21st birthday and catching up with family/friends Staff were friendly and happy to talk through menu with us. Food superb - would visit again next time we visit

Was staying in the area after travelling from Cardff. Googled this restaurant so gave it a try. We had Pompadoms and chutney try for a starter 1 chicken Balti 1 chicken Pathia 1 plain rice and 1 coconut rice 1 plain nan and 1 garlic nan. All food was outstanding and so flavour some and piping hot. Staff were very friendly and chatty which was nice. Decent size portions and not over priced. Would recommend and would return if in the area again

Ok food but the service tonight was very poor. Bordering on rude. Might not be going again.

Had a lovely takeaway last night! New favourite curry in B&H for sure, would love to come and dine in soon!
