I ordered just one dish for takeaway which took them 2 hours to complete the order and deliver to my location. I tried calling the restaurant for at least 5 times and no one answered. At that time I ordered the briyani which I was very unsatisfied with the bland taste. When you think of Indian food you would expect the complexion of spices and seasoning towards their dish but this one somehow is not authentic and not even worth to try as it taste more like a plain rice with lamb which when I tasted was stone cold and really tough to chew. My best advice is to them is probably best to think again or revise their menu items, service and if their chef can actually cook authentic Indian food.

My husband and I ordered a takeaway after reading positive reviews. Sadly, it didn’t live up to expectations. I ordered lamb vindaloo, which was blend and lacked spices. It came with 5-7 pieces of flavourless lamb, which is a bit mean considering the dish was almost £10. The only saving grace was the fried chillies on top. My husband’s chicken jalfrezi was also bland and watery. It was so watery, the rice was swimming with water once the curry was added on to the plate. The curries are certainly not authentic, believe me I’m Asian. Its been ‘westernised’ and not in a good way. Overall, a disappointing bland takeaway and we won’t be ordering again.

We attended on a Thursday evening for a mid week meal. We had more dishes than we would at a normal curry since the price is very reasonable. The restaurant was not busy and the food which arrived was very nice. We did have to order an extra rice so would advise one rice per person. Try the sizzling meat starter for two to share!

There were 9 of us in our party and we all said how wonderful the food was. The service was a bit slow but we didn't mind as we were all chatting anyway and it was nice not to have someone rushing us into the next course. The restaurant is not large so would recommend booking in advance. The staff were super friendly and the chef came out at the end of the evening and chatted to people. The menu didn't have the usual reams of dishes however, we all had more than enough to choose from and it was nice to be able to pick something a bit different. The food was absolutely stunning both in flavours and presentation. We would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be returning soon.

Le Raj Academy offers fab food and fantastic service and is a much more low key and affordable dining experience than its parent restuarant up the road. While it is based inside Nescot College you soon forget that you are there (indeed there is one entrance that you can take that doesn't take you through the college).

Visited this Indian Restaurant once only & didn't get on too well with the environment/surroundings as it is set within a very modern college building. I ordered an Onion Bhajia starter which came served in a very small portion. The main course, a Chicken Dhansak again, was very small in relation to the prices charged. The waitress serving us was very polite & friendly. At the end of my experience however, I did not have that yearning to revisit. I think the very clean lines of a modern building revealed zero atmosphere & I think it's quite important to feel that whilst dining out, Indian style. Sorry but not for me.

... but the food is amazing, with a menu featuring many new dishes as well as contemporary 'takes' on traditional Indian dishes. Service, presentation and quality of food is also outstanding (much like the main Le Raj in Driftbridge) and this place more than justifies a little detour off the beaten path to eat at the college! We were also worried that being a college, it might not be licensed, but it certainly is AND with a very good wine list!

They were so helpful with all our advance organisation and the usual 'wrinkles' that occur on these busy and bubbly occasions were totally absent. The setting lent itself perfectly to a private function and it would be equally lovely for couples or small group dining. The food was delicious and hot and the service was friendly and efficient. There is a good choice of dishes although on our visit two dishes my son asked for were not available.I had a salmon tikka dish to start with followed by a sizzling tikka dish of chicken lamb chops and fish accompanied with an exceptional vegetable curry with nine different vegetables. My son enjoyed his onion bhaji starter followed by a chicken tikka massala. Naan bread and a chapati were of a high standard. I ate at Le Raj Academy Restaurant with my partner and two friends. It's located on the North East Surrey College Of Technology campus, next to the Adrian Mann Theatre, with plenty of parking within a few steps of the front door. While it is not very large, the modern décor gives this 'Indian' restaurant an extremely attractive, contemporary ambience. The welcome was warm, the menu was small but well-focussed with the usual favourites to the fore. Service staff were attentive and the dishes, which arrived promptly, were well presented and extremely tasty. All four of us agreed that process were surprisingly reasonable for this quality off cuisine and it had been well worth the visit. Proximity to the theatre makes a future combined outing very likely.

My husband and I have been here a fair few times, and we visited for the first time since they have refurbished the premises. The new look is subtle, clean, and the surroundings are perfect. The Team of Gentleman are very polite, exyremely attentative, and they really have their finger on the pulse. The food is exquisite. We had the obligatory poppadoms, which I love the red onion and mint yoghurt. Very moorish. We then chose 2 different prawn starters, which we shared a bit of each dish. My husbands main was the madras, though a bit too hot for my taste buds! Mine was the tandoori mixed grill, and that was so big I had to take the chicken drumstick home. Our sides were the coconut rice and sagalloo. The Chef is clearly passionate about cookinf. If we had room, we would have chosen dessert. But we struggled, as the portion sizes are generous. It's the best Indian restaurant in Epsom, and the fact you have to book, says it all. Well done guys, and thank you for our superb dining experience.
