First time tried, Authentic Nepalese food, fresh ingredients and unique flavour, really enjoyed the take away meal, definitely visit again, Strongly recommend this place to try.

Our first visit to a restaurant the day we came out of lockdown and we were very pleased with our choice of restaurant while staying in Hythe.The food was very fresh and full of flavour all the dishes we chose were delicious. The lamb was very tender, the popadoms crisp and fresh, rice light and fluffy and the potato dish was full of spicy flavour.....all cooked to a very high standard.

Got a takeaway tonight and it was absolutely 5*. Fresh flavoursome and brilliant service - probably one of the best takeaways I’ve had this year. Also thought I had lost my phone here last year and they were so super helpful. Keep up the good work! Totally 1000% recommend! Elle ( aka Ali as per my receipt )

Ordered a takeaway last night it was so fabulous honestly the best takeaway I ever had since lockdown. dishes were all fresh and flavourful. I’m a big fan of spicy curry and the Sherpa tarkari was so great Thats my favourite curry now. Well I don’t normally write reviews for any restaurant but this one just made me do it.I will definitely go for dining when lockdown ends

I’ve never been to an Indian restaurant that is a 10/10 like this one! Service 10/10 Food 10/10I’m allergic to cashew nuts and I love a korma and their korma has cashew nuts in it... but they especially made me one without cashew nuts! When most restaurants don’t make big changes to their dishes when you have an dietary requirement! Bloody brilliant!

Ordered a takeaway for 4 people on Sat. Very difficult using the website as for some reason would not accept card payment so paid over the phone.When the pretty simple order arrived 3 items were missing including a starter which was very annoying. Phoned up and around 20 mins later the rest of the order arrived.Food just ok but not impressed with the service and would not use them again.

Our first night out as a couple for a long time. Well spaced out and friendly staff. The best chicken tikka malsa around and would recommend the momos Free parking opposite after 6pm,reseonable priced,

Arrived at 6pm and all was fine until the restaurant filled up around 7pm and then we were ignored as a customer. Our mains got taken away and we were left for a good 30 mins until we grabbed someone for the bill otherwise we would happily have had a dessert and probably more drinks! My main of chicken pahadi was OK (not nice enough to take the leftovers home) however my husband enjoyed his seafood dish, my mushroom rice had hardly any mushrooms in. When we were seen to the staff were nice. I probably wouldn't return.

This was my first visit to a restaurant coming out of lock down and Kathmandu made me feel very assured. There are screens and santizer everywhere and I felt very safe. The food was very delicious. There were plenty of vegetarian options available and the food was delivered quickly. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes (I had not been to a Nepalese restaurant before so wasn't sure about some of the dishes) and they were all delicious and reasonable priced. The decor is lovely and there is parking available opposite the restaurant.

4 of us went last night and had a truly lovely meal, various dishes, pasanda, rices, naans, etc. Food was excellent. Definitely go back again

Together with my daughter, we enjoyed a good meal. Popadums, squid and tikka to start. Then my daughter had the korma and I had khursani. Both were tasty dishes. We had requested a doggy bag, as we couldn't finish it all,and would have been lovely for lunch the next day. Unfortunately,they mixed the mild korma together with the spicy khursani in one pot, so we left it.Service was efficient, but not particularly friendly. Would like to go again to try the sizzling tandoori dishes, which were brought to another table. They looked really good

Ventured out for our first meal in a restaurant since lockdown and wasn't disappointed. The Covid precautions made us feel it was very safe to eat here with good distance between tables, screens in place at the door and sanitising station on entry. The food was outstanding full of flavour, piping hot and good sized portions.

We took advantage of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme so our meal was exceptional value.We had just a main course and drinks which was more than eneough in this very hot weather.We had the Sherpa Tarkari which is a Nepalese dish of lamb with potatoes and peppers.(shown as two chillis strong but very hot) with a side dish of pilau rice and the Lake Ko Machha, a Nepalese salmon curry with a side dish of daal. All the food was excellent and service good as well.There was a one way system in place and tables were well spaced out. Very popular and we saw several people tuned away who hadn't booked.

Dined here with my wife. Staff were super friendly without being over familiar. The paneer shashlik was amazing and I would also recommend trying the momo (steamed dumplings).

A warm, friendly greeting upon arrival on a very wet Friday night. An extensive menu at reasonable prices. Food exceptional with good sized portions. Service friendly and efficient throughout. A real gem of a restaurant in Hythe. Highly recommended.

This is a real review unlike others no names mentioned , but this is the best Indian Restaurant in Hythe the food and service at the Kathmandu is superb and special mention is the Navaratna veg Curry

12 of us visited the restaurant last night and enjoyed both the food and atmosphere. It was our second visit and we will be back again.

Food was absolutely delicious. Definitely the best curry I’ve had. Everything was fresh and hot. There was a delay in ordering but we wasn’t in a rush so it was no issue. Price was reasonable and we will be returning.

Visited Hythe for the weekend and found this great restaurant. Service was great with all the staff being really friendly. Went on a Friday night and we didn't book and almost didn't get a table. I would definitely book next time I visit. The food was great and not overly greasy which I find in some other Indian restaurants. Drinks where not overpriced and the atmosphere in the restaurant was nice. Will be back next time we visit this neck of the woods.

I had made a booking for my friends and I to dine in for new years eve celebration. As I arrived we were warmly greeted by the servers & managers and taken to our seats. The restaurant was fully booked with a festive atmosphere.Our drinks & popadoms were served promptly on time.The menu offered a wide selection of Nepalese, indian cusine & chef specials.For our starters we shared the special mix platter for 2 which includes chicken tikka, lamb kebab, onion bajis, vegetable samosa, prawns with a selection dipping sauces that complements the dish giving a cooling, fragrant herbs & heat sensation. The meats was juicy,tender packed with exotics flavours. The bajis, samosa & prawns was perfectly cooked, texture was crispy, bursting with a combinations of herbs & spices.For our mains we had the katmandu chicken, pilau rice and peswari nan. The dishes was well presented with a generous portion size. The katmandu chicken was tender and suculent, the bold rich flavours from the creamy yogurt, pungent aroma, spicy & sharp flavours from the ginger and garlic, slight lemony citrus from the corriander to lift the mild curry ending with a subtle heat from the chilli.As always.. fantastic food and outstanding service!

Was looking forward to visiting this Indian restaurant but sadly found food to be pretty average. Six of us visited having a variety of dishes, most dishes were ok but a couple were poor. Overall bit expensive for the quality of food, and there is better on offer at other local Indian eateries.

Me and my wife had an exceptional meal and experience at Kathmandu, the meals and service were outstanding, all of the dishes we chose we enjoyed and are looking forward to return.

After rather too long we returned to this restaurant booking a particular table we had noticed before.Even for a Friday night this large venue was buzzing although the layout means that it does not seem too crowded.We were immediately offered some poppadoms and we chose a bottle of red and although there was then an understandable short delay, when we did order, service was quick, pleasant and efficient. My fairly basic choice of a chick-pea based starter was very tasty and brilliantly presented as was a tandoori mixed grill that arrived sizzling. My wife had a garlic mushroom starter which was fine and then her curry speciality dish was pronounced a bit spicier than expected but very good indeed. We were very impressed by the friendly and organised staff --especially with the way that a minor spillage on a neighbouring table was dealt with in double-quick time. So a spotless and organised venue with happy staff, good choices, reasonable prices and if not actually fine dining, very close to that standard. This is indeed an impressive and popular town centre venue that fully deserves to be as successful as it obviously is.

I really liked this place, I think it is fairly new. We tried it out as we had visitors coming and wanted someone nice to take them and we have been back twice since. Its a really nice comfortable set up with probably too much choice but then again it means we are working our way through the menu. Draught as well as bottle beer and all reasonable prices.

This was actually my second visit to this place and the food has always been good with full of Flavours and the service is also great overall I would visit this place again and would recommend this place for a nice lovely evening

Whilst staying with friends we took them to this restaurant. The menu is varied but we ordered mainly Nepalese dishes. The lamb, prawn and salmon curries were all excellent, as was the rice and nan. The portions are ample. The service was friendly, fast and efficient. Judging by the number of people coming to eat on a wet Wednesday night this restaurant is obviously a hit with Hythe residents. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Hythe area.

Very busy Friday night. Staff although friendly were vere busy and too stressed. Long wait to order. Once ordered moved along quickly. Food on the whole was great Althoughi house curry bland.

This restaurant was a special combination of wonderful food, great service and enjoyable ambience. We had the chicken pahadi curry, which was delicious, rajma aloo and basmati rice. We cannot recommend this restaurant more highly.

My friend and I have been visiting the restaurant almost every week for the last month or so. We are always welcomed warmly by the manager. The food is lovely, Chicken Bhuna and Prawn Bhuna being particular favourites. The waiting staff are polite and knowledgeable. I totally recommend this restaurant to everyone

Everyone in hythe told me to try Kathmandu as they said it was delicious however, my experience was awful I ordered a takeaway curry one night first off all we got half a portion of salad for three starters second of all the curry was awful it was all lacking Flavour I did ring them back as it looked like it had been chucked in the bag or run over, on the phone they apparently didn't understand me. It honestly all tasted awful was so under cooked as rushed I felt it was such a waste.of a lot of money.

We keep coming here and that is the best recommendation we can ever give. Return custom.The food is excellent, the staff are really pleasant and helpful and it is always a very satisfying experience.

visited on the monday night because this was all that was open in hythe currey wise - so glad i did - fantastic flavours and choices. service good and attentive. toilets clean.would have gone back on the tuesday but they are closed - however went on the wednesday night place was packed but the service and food were 5 star.when in area again i will be back.LH

I came across Taste of Kathmandu from word of mouth from the locals in hythe, Kent. I thought I'll give it a try first before I make a group booking with my family and friends. I placed my takeout order over the phone, the server was friendly, polite and recommended the dishes.The food arrived promptly on time.My friend and I was fully satisfied with each individual authentic dishes offering us comforting and exotic flavours. The plain popadoms with relishes - it was crispy and crunchy, with the relishes to introduce our taste buds from sweet, spicy to cool before we begin our starter. Onion Bhaji was perfectly fried, bursting with exotic mix spices & juicy slices of onions.Katmandu Chicken - Tender, succulent and generous amount of chicken. Light sour and a gradual heat towards the endJalfrezi Chicken - Perfectly cooked chicken with juicy sweet red peppers and onions. A tomatoe curry with a combination of heat and slight sweetness from the tomatoes at the start to the end.Mushroom Rice - juicy slices of mushrooms and perfectly cooked fragrant basmati rice.I can't express enough how wonderful the food is and I will definitely be making a booking to dine in with my family and friends. Perhaps the worst food ever . Popadoms dry and over their due date . Curry was from “ uncle bens” jar. But that is insulting uncle bens. Roti looked like a packet chapatti from a supermarket.I had the hottest curry on the menu and it couldn’t have been further from the truth.The menu came through our door we gave it a shot .Never again Poor poor poor

Another amazing meal delivered in good time and cooked to perfection Just want to say another massive thank you to all the team. It is a real pleasure to have somewhere that you know is consistent and reliable with first classed delicious food every time with no variations in the quality and flavour of their meals. As I have said many times before I cannot write this place I recommend it highly enough and will definitely be continuing to eat here for all of the time.

We went to celebrate my son's birthday. My partner had an allergy to garlic and was told she could have chicken nuggets or an omelette ! Or they could a few pieces of chicken out of the marinade (which all chicken was in prior to cooking) and wash it as best they could. They were 'too busy' to cook something fresh. Although what the rest of us had was ok the whole evening was tarnished by their total lack empathy and weren't interested in accommodating my partner at all. We obviously have this issue most occasions we are out and have never had this reaction to an allergy. If they claim everything is cooked fresh then clearly that needs to be questioned

Local to this great restaurant best in this area,had our 40th anniversary here for thirty people and they served delicious food and impeccable service thank you to the owners and staff of this great restaurant all ways a favourite.

First visit in Hythe, didn’t know where to go for dinner. Went in without any expectation but we were not disappointed. The service was brilliant, the foods was amazing and very affordable. We will definitely go back there again if we are in the area

Dear ‘Kathmandu’, outstanding food again but this time we had a takeaway instead of eating in your lovely relaxing restaurant.We started with aloo jeera, just took us back to Kathmandu, Nepal eating in one our Gurkha retired soldiers houses. The main dishes were of the authentic high standard we have become accustomed to in your restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing. Atmosphere is the restaurant is great, layout and decor is great. Food is beyond anything we have had before. Tasty, fresh and so flavoursome...

I visited here with my parents on Saturday and had a lovely evening! We were booked in for 1900 hrs and I would definitely recommend around this time, as the evening went on it was getting busier and busier. The staff were super friendly and attentive, but not too much. They would have a laugh with you too. The food was absolutely brilliant. My dad had the prawns and can’t stop going on about them still, he was so impressed. The rest of us had momos - which were lovely. The mains were really fresh and tasted delicious. We will definitely be back. Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos!

This was my birthday lunch and we were the only ones there. The welcome was very good we were given a choice of where to sit. We ordered beers and popadoms. The starter was the mixed Kathmandu Platter dish. A variety of flavours. We ordered separate main dishes. Being Nepalese we wanted something different. I had the Sherpa Tarkari with egg fried rice and my wife had Chicken Khursani with a Keema Nan. 2 very different flavours and of course we shared. The Tarkari has a great spicy flavour before the chilli bites. And the bite was GOOD. The Khursani had an unusual taste but very moreish. When we asked we were told it was sweet and sour. We don't like sweet and sour but that's usually Chinese. This was delicious. As it was my birthday the next beer was paid for by the host who spoke to us often. A great restaurant, friendly and the food is fantastic. The only drawbacks. 2 of the popadoms were past their best and not so crunchy. The nan was too oily for my wife. We couldn't finish so what we left was bagged up and I ate it all later in the evening so I had twice the pleasure. Thanks for a very good visit. We'll be back.

Staff very friendly & efficient.Generally food was good, different dishes from usual Indian.Onion bhaji were not good, very small & no taste of onions - do not order!Poppadoms ok but relish was awful very sweet & tasteless.Would go back as main courses were tasty & fresh.

This place would get the full five stars were it not for the hideously long wait for the food and the aggy staff. A little sympathy towards customers waiting well over an hour for their dinner wouldn’t go amiss, I know it’s Saturday night thanks!!!Anyway, beyond that, the food is fantastic and the restaurant itself is a very nice place to sit and eat. Would definitely return but perhaps on a Monday when it’s quieter!

Had lunch here yesterday and was very pleasantly surprised at the menu absolutely delicious all courses especially the chicken sadeko and the momo spicy but very nice the balti and chicken biryani were yum yum even the peshwari nan was divine would highly recommend

The Taste lived up to its reputation for delicious food. All four of our menu selections were delicious. But the vaunted service had an off night. We waited half an hour to get a drink, an hour for our appetizer and seventy minutes for our main courses. So, if you're very hungry and thirsty, have a drink and snack at home before you go there!

I visited again recently and was not surprised at all by the excellent level of service and amazing flavours coming out of the kitchen, are use this place for takeaway is probably three times a week minimum sometimes five times a week so that in itself speaks for itself. The bar area is a pleasant place to enjoy a drink as well especially when waiting for a delivery collection. Just want to say a massive thank you again to Rupack, Deepack, Valistone, Suryia and all the guys and girls.

Spent a night in Hythe, it was late May Bank Holiday and were looking for somewhere to eat when we saw this place and decided to give it a go. Amazing food. It did take a long time to get to our table but the quality and quantity made up for it. So aromatic, rather than spicy, very flavoursome. Plus it was really reasonably priced. Next time I am in Hythe will definitely go back for more.

Went here for an evening meal and the food was just fabulous! The waiter was a lovely gentlemen from central India. Talking about his time in the local area and telling is places to go down south! The manager of the restaurant too was fantastic! The food arrived and it was possible to tell it was all cooked fresh to order with nothing microwaved! 10/10 and very reasonably priced! Would definitely go again!

This our 7th visit to this wonderful restaurant. Extensive menu from Indian, Nepalese, Asian. So much choice. Our meal was absolutely lovely, the meat so tender. We can’t wait to try other dishes. Staff very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

Before today, I hadn't actually tried Nepalese food, so I made sure to order things that I had never seen in the standard Indian restaurant. And I have to say, if you're a fan of subcontinental cooking, you must give this place a try! The food was delicious, and all cooked to a great standard. Service was faultless, and the ambience of the restaurant was perfect for a relaxed evening meal. Definitely give Kathmandu a try if you're in Hythe!

From the crisp linen tablecloths to the skilled service, the Taste of Kathmandu is a class above the usual Asian eating place. Well-balanced menu, good selection of wines, lots of vegetarian choices and a bright, lively ambience. Lots of families, couples and groups. A great place to enjoy distinctive food. One downside: Saturday evening are very, very busy so service is slow.

Ordered some takeaway and it was wonderful. Lovely food and customer service. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who’s looking for a nice meal with their friends and family.

Reviewed as the best restaurant in Hythe, this place lives up to the hype.Very busy with a buzzy atmosphere. The menu is authentic and interesting and the staff are friendly. We had booked, but quite last minute. We were shown a table close to a door for staff use. On asking for another quieter table, which we got, we were told we should book and ask for a specific table in future - so make sure you do so!Would definitely go back.

I have been eating here virtually every day for the last three months and have kept threatening to leave a good review on TripAdvisor but have never been able to get round to it as the review I intend to leave will be so long so detailed so amazing that it has taken me this long to start it but watch this space! So where do I start? Obviously over this time we have built up quite a rapport and a good relationship and I look forward to my visits more more each time. Deepack, Rupack, Vallestone, Suri and myself have developed a kind of brotherhood and I would go so far as to say family. Every time I go there I am made to feel welcome, this goes without saying, they open late for me and cater to any requests regards food and are happy to do so. Suri (head chef) and myself in particular have developed a special bond when it comes to ingredients, recipes and cooking techniques which he is more than happy to share and always welcomes me whenever I come in for food. Deepack and Rupack adhere to the utmost professional standards and workmanship at all times and Vallestone and myself often share a good joke, laugh and catch up on family life. If you want a welcoming friendly atmosphere than this is the place to come even when they are stressed and over run on a Saturday night there is never a lack of attention to detail. The food is obviously 2nd to none and I have been eating Bangladesh Indian and Nepalese cuisine for probably the last 18 years at least on a regular basis and have eaten this kind of cuisine all around the world and I must say the pound for pound for taste and quality this place really cannot be beaten but you will need to experience this with yourself. Visiting Hyde for the weekend and fancied a curry. We were not disappointed. Everything was 10/10. The staff recommended one of the Nepalese curries and it was delicious. The naan, poppadums and rice's were also high quality. Great staff too.

We are staying at the Imperial hotel which has a curry restaurant (in house )which we booked for 830 on arrival to see a very bright Indian styled of decor , being very inviting ,having read in the menu we felt this was overpriced and decided to leave (not being on a budget )we decided to go elsewhere and we came across a new restaurant only opened for six months called Kathmandu as we arrived a couple were leaving and gave us the thumbs up. I suffer from chronic IBS I explain this to the waiter and he was very attentive to the choice I had made from the menu, being salmon with a coconut lightly spicy sauce ( no’31)with spinach and cheese and poppadoms to enjoy the excess sauce The staff double checked that the ingredients would not affect my IBS The food was amazing the staff were very very attentive and I just wished this was my local curry house, as we were away for the weekend having been to the Aspin wildlife reserve .I would highly recommend this restaurant five out of five as it was one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to in a very very long time I felt the care for my food issues and for the first time in a long time I cleared my plate the salmon with a spicy coconut sauce was amazing melted in my mouth I enjoyed my food so much it was very easy to finish a bottle of wine without realising ! We were the last to leave there was no pressure to rush and we had a very warm goodbye from the staff and the chef !I would highly highly recommend this restaurant ,as this is the second review that I have felt the need to be noted and recognised when the restaurant is good it needs to be known x

Excellent food and service in a superbly decorated large restaurant. Love Indian food but menu had some more Kashmire dishes new to us, both delighted we tried something different. Highly recommended.

Food was very good indeed, I started with the momo and it was just like what I have eaten in Nepal well cooked and full of flavour, however the dipping sauce could have done with some spicing up as it was quite mild.. For main i had a lamb dish which was superbly cooked again full of flavour and this time with the right level of heat as it packed quite a punch. My wife had the salmon dish and very much enjoyed it with firm chunks of salmon in a mild cream sauce. Service was very good with staff very pleasant and helpful.We will defiantly return

Absolutely amazing food and services. Highly recommended. Best Nepalese and Indian restaurants in Kent.

Firstly I was charged £4.00 more than I had worked out, unless there is a delivery charge I didn't know about. Secondly it had a 2 chilli rating which I can eat no problem, this was so hot I think it must have been a vindaloo, just could not eat it, burnt mouth and throat

Third visit and still amazing! Best curry I’ve ever tasted! Very polite and friendly staff, comfortable and clean restaurant. I always recommend to others and the feedback is the same.

Returned again for lunch on Thursday and was pleased with the lunchtime menu very well cooked and plenty of it well done to the chef excellent flavours will be back again soon

Very busy Saturday evening and the staff were under pressure but coped well, with friendliness and good grace (despite a particularly nasty group on the table behind ours). Food was excellent and well presented, portions just right for us and the flavours were great. Thanks to all.

We were blown away by the selection of dishes we tried at the Kathmandu restaurant today. They were all Absolutely fantastic. Service was excellent. Staff were friendly and very attentive. All four of us said that the dishes we tried were the best they have tasted out of all the Indian/Nepalese restaurants we have been to. We can’t wait to go back. Well done!

First visit with business colleagues. 16 of us on a Wednesday night fantastic service and the best Indian food we have all had in ages.Complimentary dishes included, drinks a bit on expensive side but hey most Indian restaurants charge heavily on drinks, didn’t ruin our experience really great thanks

We received a nice welcome and choice of table . It’s classy and has a modern ambiance , it’s obviously had a lot invested in it.We had chicken and lamb dishes together with a vegetable curry.All were very tasty,the service was friendly and efficient.The portion sizes were generous, but, I think the quantity of meat in the serving dishes should be increased.It’s a little expensive, but, a cut above neighbouring restaurants. Also, i don’t personally feel that a small bowl of chutney should be charged for. Parking close by is easy.We very happy to become regulars here.

Me & my partner came to hythe for a quiet weekend away & some good food, we didn't expect to have the tastiest curry we've ever had! We had the vegetable masala & thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful!I would recommend to anyone, fairly priced, friendly staff, everything I expect from a restaurant experience!

Had lunch here yesterday and was very pleasantly surprised at the menu absolutely delicious all courses especially the chicken sadeko and the momo spicy but very nice the balti and chicken biryani were yum yum even the peshwari nan was divine would highly recommend

We visited on a Thursday evening and it wasn't too busy. The staff were welcoming, the food was delicious and the portions generous. We will visit again.

Came here with my friends. Ordered some Starters and Main Course and deserts. The food was absolutely amazing. Restaurant is very Cosy. Staff is very friendly. The restaurant has got an amazing vibe. If you are in Hythe you have to visit Taste of Kathmandu. One of the best dinner experience I had.

The ambience in this place is amazing and the food is rich in flavours and not to forget the service is quick and good.I would definatly return back to this place

Just arrived home after another lovely evening at the Taste of Kathmandu in Hythe. My partner and I dine there regularly but tonight I invited 20 members of my family to celebrate my mum’s birthday. The food was exceptional and everyone has been raving about how delicious it was since putting down their knives and forks. Highly recommend their naan bread which is completely divine as well as anything on the Kathmandu specialities. As always the hosts made us completely welcome - amazing service.

Great location as it is just across the main road when I was coming in from the seafront - hard to miss and surprisingly well laid out tables. The staff are very friendly and can recommend a good food for lunch or dinner. But they have a wide range of Nepalese and Indian cuisines (prepared more for British/European taste which means less spicy). The food tasted very good and I really enjoyed eating there. Highly recommended.

If you want a different style of Indian this is place to go! Staff very friendly & been nicely renovated. Food is excellent & so tasty - one of best Indians we have had in a long time. Have been several times & had takeaway & tastes just same as when eaten in restaurant!Staff so chatty & pleasant & will help you choose your meal as different.Would highly recommend!

Could not fault this restaurant. Nice decor, wonderful staff and superb food. If you're looking for a taste explosion of wonderful spices in a lovely area, you can't go wrong with this place. Worth every penny.

I had grown bored of Indian and Nepalese cuisine having been fed on a diet of mediocre curries, spicy heat, minimal taste and quite frankly awful....This place provided real Nepalese cuisine, with herbs I had not heard of before. I had the Momo, chicken dumplings with a spicy chutney.....delightful, followed by Chicken Ledobedo...never heard of it before, but it was delicious. Managed to taste some Tareka Jheenga, a prawn dish that was wonderful. I'll definitely be back for dinning in, or take out. The food is just terrific and freshly cooked. Service can be a little slow, but for me that shows they are cooking fresh rather than just slapping sauce on some available meat.

Pleasant surroundings, polite and gentle staff and delicious food. Can recommend the Chicken Kathmandu, Prawn Jalfrezi and Lamb Dansak with coconut rice.

Tried this for the first time this evening with friends and we were all impressed with the quality of the food. Good cosy feel and friendly service made for an enjoyable evening. Will definitely return.

First visit with friends who have been once before. Location great. Atmosphere good. Busy busy busy. Food wonderful. Tasty and different. Fare price and good staff. Helpful and friendly.

I visited for lunch on a freezing cold day. It was nearly as cold inside as it was outside. There was a heater on but it only felt warm by the time we left.The food was ok but the portions were tiny.The service was good but there was only one other couple in the restaurant. Considering we had booked I feel they could have been better prepared.I wish I could give a better review,as there is a need for good restaurants in Hythe.

Superb food. Some of the best Nepal I have tried over here. Very busy Friday night. Unfortunately short of staff owing to sickess so had to wait and even ask for food and service. Apart from this a great experience and will be eating there again.

Excellent food,had take away last saturday. Mindblowing Chicken Pahadi!!! Will definitely visit again.

Had a takeaway yesterday. The restaurant had only 4 diners. It has recently been refurbished and is pleasant clean and tidy.Both of the main dishes I ordered were all sauce and little meat. The sauces were not great although the rice supplied with the mains was plenty. I will try this restaurant again as 1 visit is not a fair trial but so far I am unimpressed and think the food at Vinhodon and Everest is much nicer. Also Dabba at Pennypot is far better for an Indian takeaway. I hope my next visit is better than my last.

Excellent set lunch at reasonable price. I will definitely return to try the al a carte. The food tasted fresher than most Indian meals the service was good and we were not hurried at all
