Excellent food, attentive and courteous staff and management, as the food is prepared and cooked fresh it takes a little longer than most other restaurants but well worth the wait. Going back soon to try the breakfast.

Popped in after a somewhat damp walk along the seafront with a rather wet dog . Everyone was really friendly, asked if our dog would like a bowl of water.... We originally only wanted a hot drink, but were offered baklava and ice cream.... absolutely gorgeous...baklava wasn't too sweet and the Turkish tea was delicious (according to my wife). Going back tomorrow for brunch before we head back to Oxfordshire... keep you posted....

Lovely food, gorgeous setting and friendly staff! Very baby friendly. Perfect place to have lunch while my partner used the roadside sauna across the street. Highly recommend!

What a great addition to Seabrook, a fresh and clean interior. Tried food here the other day and it was really tasty. The waiting staff are caring and the owners really on it. Refreshing, we will definitely will be back. The kofta wrap was great, had a coffee too. Nice to find people with a real passion for their business. Thanks guys! Wish you all the best for 2025.

Great spot for a hot drink, snack or meal. Friendly and helpful staff, varied menu including children's choices and bright and spacious layout. Good access for anyone with mobility problems. Will definitely return for a meal.

This cafe is a hidden gem! The coffee is incredible – they serve Allpress Coffee, and you can really taste the difference in quality and flavor. The owner and staff are so warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The ambiance is cozy, with great attention to detail, creating the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for exceptional coffee and friendly service!

Was driving through with my husband and stopped for a bit of lunch. Didn’t realise this had just opened officially two days ago. Was very lovely, the atmosphere was great. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and were incredibly friendly. It was Lebanese food and was delicious. Hope this new business does well. If we are ever back in town, will visit again,

Great new Beach Front Cafe and Restaurant with Lebanese specialties. Along with Grills offering good choice and veggie options. Excellent food and good value. Also open for breakfast that offers traditional and Mediterranean choices . We went lunch time so enjoyed the lunch options. currently open 8am - 4pm . Also dog friendly if you are taking a nice walk along the sea front well behaved doggies are allowed in. Friendly Staff.

FPlease note that all reviews on here relate to the Chameleon Cafe. It was excellent but has now been closed for about 18 months. It would appear that all their excellent reviews have merely been transferred to the new business that is die to open here/ Best Thyne. This is not open yet and so the reviews do not relate to this business!

This is weird. I live near this restaurant and it hasn’t even opened yet (as at November 2024) so how can it have so many ‘great reviews’. This is very dodgy!!!!!!

Just had an impromptu visit to this great place! Such a local gem and we didn't even know about it! There were six of us and two children. We all had a Masala Dosai with all the trimmings - so authentic and very tasty. The staff were just lovely too. I would highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back!

We won a raffle prize! Dinner for four at the Chameleon Cafe. Cafe by day and fine Asian dining by night. Amazing tapas style dishes to share and larger main sized choices if you fancy. Four of us ordered around 12 dishes plus rice and breads and every one was delicious ! Well timed to keep the meal ticking along perfectly and the service from the waitress was lovely and attentive. The whole event was one of the most sociable meals we’ve experienced. If you’re tired of the usual curry house experience then this is the place to go! If not then still go!! You’ll be amazed! Thank you Satish for a superb evening 👏👏

Had seen so many great reviews for the Chameleon Cafe that I had to try it! We absolutely enjoyed the delectable dishes and drinks. Highly recommend the Golgappa Chaat that has a burst of flavour yet good for those who are not good with spice! The hospitality we received was lovely. We hope to be back again!

We had the best food during our 14-day long trip in UK, at the Chameleon cafe. It was recommended by an Indian friend and I was told the Indian dishes (and the other ones) were to die for! Having had Indian food many times, because I'm from Singapore, I can promise that the Indian food here is AMAZING! The art of gastronomy was displayed - the Golgappa Chaat, a savoury dish, had pomegranate seeds sprinkled on the dish, and chutney on the plate for pairing as well. A very well thought out choice of ingredients by Chef Satish! The drinks were amazing as well - we had watermelon sherbet mocktails and they were so refreshing. Thank you for the amazing hospitality and for making my taste buds happy.

What an unexpected gem! Located next to a petrol station, so wasn't expecting much. But had the best chicken curry I can remember for a long time, and very good fish and chips. Interior is bright and relaxed and staff were lovely. Will definitely be back!

Unfortunately didn’t do much for gluten free and the food was ok, however right next to the sea and they have seating outside for nice days.

Had the best authentic Indian food here. This is an authentic southern Indian restaurant (evening menu) with the right menu and superb variety of Dosas ( Savoury Indian Lentil Pancake). I loved the starters Samosa Chaat and the Masala Vada. On top of all the delicious food, the chef greets all the customers and patrons adding to a homely feel.

Last day of our holiday, and we stopped for breakfast, it was great food very good the staff were brilliant, we wished we had seen it sooner, we look forward to going again next time we are there 😁

Visited here on a Saturday night, 6 of us on a ladies' weekend away in Sandgate, which is a pleasant 15 minute walk along the sea-front. We had a fabulous meal of Indian tapas. One of our party is vegan and we'd pre-ordered a non-spicy vegan burger which was declared delicious. We received excellent service, and the chef brought complimentary vegan ice cream for my friend. We will definitely return next time we visit Sandgate.

Best Fish and Chips ever! Great Cafe. We arrived just before closing time but were still served with great fish and chips at a really good price. The staff were just so friendly and made us feel very welcome despite us arriving so late. Really want to try the evening Indian menu

Best Indian food in the area! Such an incredible selection of dishes and such a change from all the normal English style Indians! The samosa, the curry leaf fried chicken, the lamb kashmiri, and the paratha are just amazing, all the food is amazing! We go with the whole family and there is so much to choose from, we always have to share everything!

Worst place I’ve ever visited! No one said hello or greeted us at all when we walked in. Just looked at us. We sat for five minutes and then had to go and ask for a menu. We just ordered a few portions of chips when they were brought out not a single word from the waitress just put them down and walked off. I have never felt more awkward or unwanted somewhere ever. Chips were lovely but the service and atmosphere where a massive zero!

The Vegan Dosa night was amazing. Each course was just delicious, especially the crispy dosa. We also loved the Vegan ice cream and crumble.

Went for breakfast one day, went back the following day for Indian. Food was fabulous and good value for money plus they catered well for veggies/vegans. The chef explained the cafe is called Chameleon because they do English food by day and Indian by night.

Food was spot on even from ordering items not set on the menu. Very accommodating chef. We really enjoyed the food which was clearly freshly cooked. Although It wasn’t busy during our visit, think if it had been that may’ve been a little too much for the waiting staff whom I can only describe as below par! Think the music must’ve been wired up to their heads as that was equally dull. They did their best and were pleasant and inoffensive.

We really enjoy going to the Chameleon for lunch and were there again this week. Delighted to hear that it will be opening again soon for weekend evenings. If you haven't tried The Chameleon yet you should fit in a visit. Choose good weather and you can enjoy your meal at an outside table a stone's throw from the sea. Parking onsite too. We visited today for lunch with my husband and my mum. Such polite ladies waiting tables. Orders taken quickly, lovely hot lattes made. Food was amazing. Chicken tikka wrap, flavoursome and succulent. Husband had the chilli con carne jacket potatoe, he was very impressed and...

Great location. Always busy but very slow service. Good food . Should increase staff during busy times . Takes at least 45min for the order to be delivered to your table . Been few times and has not changed ..

Unexpected very welcome find after our walk along the prom. from Hythe. Excellent food, fish and chips and scampi and chips. Served with grace and courtesy. Even cooked and presented FOC sausage for our dogs. Highly recommended.

Stopped for lunch whilst walking along the front - so glad we did. This will now be a destination for us in future! Nice seating outside on wooden tables with umbrellas. The service was very friendly and attentive and the food was extremely tasty and presented well. We enjoyed every element of our visit and will definitely return. My son says he rates it as 10 stars! In the evenings I was told they serve Indian Tapas which I’m sure would be well worth a visit.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the jacket potato with vegetable curry at this restaurant, and I must say that it was absolutely delicious! The dish consisted of a perfectly baked jacket potato, topped with a generous serving of rich and flavorful vegetable curry. Had a nice chat with Chef as well. Highly Recommended

Lovely food & service but oh so cold inside on 30th November when my friend & I went in for lunch. We had curry to warm us up but had to eat with our coats on!! Please put some heating on for the customers or you won't have any til summer!!
