Starter Onion bhajis. Dark, greasy, flat disc of batter with very few onions. Destination..... Bin. Mains were off the New Items list being their 20th anniversary celebration dishes?? Chicken Chennai. This was served in a large container holding 7 pieces of chicken filled with thin sauce tasting and looking exactly like cheap chip shop curry sauce. No vegetables at all. Other dish. Chicken Roshon. Served in the same sized large foil container with 7 pieces of chicken. Sauce was identical to other dish, that is a thin sauce with no vegetables, tasting and looking exactly like cheap chip shop curry sauce. Chef, why serve the same customer with two different meals with look and taste identical and seem to be just cooker meat and thin watery curry sauce made from a powder? I think you have cut too many corners and seem disrespectful to your (now ex) customers. 😞

Takeaway for two on a Wednesday at 6pm. Starter Onion bhajis. Very dark, greasy flat pancake. Yuk! Main courses were both off their new 20th anniversary (July 2024) new meal section. Came in a large container with 7 pieces of chicken each. One meal described as hot - Chennai with chicken. Verdict, don't bother, chip shop curry sauce with pieces of chicken - no vegetables at all. Other meal was Roshon with chicken. This had same colour and flavour as the Chennai. Verdicts. Don't waste your money, just go to a chip shop and get a tub of cheap curry sauce. Chef, why serve two different dishes to the same customer which both taste and look exactly the same. Also why just put thin curry sauce over meat without even trying to add some...(any) vegetables. There were no vegetables, not even onions in the meals. This is an insult to curry. You have cut too many corners and need to rethink your business. Sorry, we will not be back.

The order was sent out wrong, the food was so bland and lukewarm, the onion bhajee was just a ball of grease which went straight into the bin, overall very dissatisfied they need to up their game, so many better Indian takeaways

Fantastic food and amazing customer service. I've lived in Folkestone/Hawkinge for 10 years and have been using another Indian takeaway (that won't be named) this whole time and recently they have gone down hill hence trying a new place. I have tried Garam Mossala twice now and it's been a huge hit 2 out of 2 and I have no doubts I'll be having many more delicious meals. I highly recommend their food any day of the week!

Like a curry every now and again used these guys a few times. Always a solid 7-8 out of 10. Tasty, good service and friendly. Occasionally like tonight everything is bang on and you get yourself a 9 out of 10 which for the price is a bargain. Looking forward to the next one. Recommend the Chicken Rezela and Keema naan. Thanks guys.

Tried Garam Mossala for the first time as our local- really good food and friendly service. The tikka masala was the best I've had for a while, and not too salty like some other Indian takeouts around

We have always got Indians from Hawkinge to support the local trade. We haven't had a take away for a while from here, but tonight was a disappointment 😔 We had a set meal for 2. There wasn't enough meat to feed one person. The sauce was very watery and not much flavour. Poppadoms were chewy. Which is really unusual. If the portion sizes of meat are going to this small, you definitely don't need this size take away container as they are just filled with sauce which then is wasted.

Yet another great meal from these guys. Lamb pathia and lamb dhansak absolutely stunning,packed full of flavour. Sag paneer spot on. Didn't know they do delivery now,so will probably try that next time around....

When you spend over £30 on a take away, you’d hope to get more than a hand full of meat in your curry ! I know times are hard, and having to keep an eye on costs, but you should still supply a good amount of meat. The mushroom rice, had pretty much the amount of one small mushroom. I do think you really have to re look at what you are supplying your customers, other wise, you’ll be losing us.

Ok so the wife fancied a chicken biryani.after work for a Friday treat.when she came home i got it out of the containers.the rice was pre cooked and not fresh.just warmed. When I opened the veg curry to go with the biriyani it was half filled in the container with one piece of potato.and a limp sauce..the wife was not impressed and i embarrassed that i got her her favourite meal.that was a total let down.i rang and told if my disappointment.then the answer.!. You only get a sauce with biriani and yes the container is only half full.!!. So if you want to pay for a full meal but will only get half the container filled with warmed up food.go there.!!??. This takeaway will not see my trade or money again.complete rip off C. Wilson . Local resident in hawkinge..

The best Indian takeaway around. Mo is always lovely and always has a smile on his face. The food is excellent we can definitely recommend it to anyone.

Used a lot. Normally picked up and always delicious. This evening we had delivered by a very polite young man. Still hot. Still delicious. My husband likes hot, I like mild. Always to our taste. Really recommend. Sorry no pictures as eaten!!

It's been a while since we had an Indian from Mo, but I had one tonight and it was utterly delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed it, really good value. Our first choice in the area.

First time I can say wasn’t very nice was very very gritty the chicken korma was fine but the vegetables korma was so gritty

We have been getting takeaways from Garamossala since we moved to Hawkinge over 5 years ago and it's always been consistently great food and service. They did deliveries during lockdown which was super helpful but believe they've stopped this now - that would be my only area for improvement. Would recommend to anyone in the local area.

We were staying at the caravan site just down the road. We placed an order they brought it to the camp site barrier. It was excellent, hot great quality food would throughly recommend 👌.

Always spot-on. Never had a bad experience or any mistakes on the order. The owner is so friendly too. Moved from Hawkinge to Folkestone many years ago, but still yet to find a better one in Folkestone - so always end up coming back up the hill.

Last day of our holiday thought we will treat ourselves to a nice takeaway meal. Well I wish we hadn't as it was a waste of money. The food was warm not even hot, we was told 20min we went within 15 came back in 2 min and the food was just warm. The food had no taste at all what a disappointment this meal was tonight. I am glad we will never have the opportunity to eat here again. Places like this give a bad name to Indian food.

Read the reviews beforehand and yes all good apart from one, this takeaway meal was absolutely appalling,great believer in giving good feedback but unfortunately not this time, lamb biryani was awful, hardly any lamb and for most part pure grissle, two veg curries which had no taste or spicing and was like watered down soup or gravy, as for the rest it was awful and the same feedback. I actually questioned was this a curry. Never again.

So lucky this is our local. The food is amazing and the service is fantastic. Highly recommend it.

Delicious food and cooked to order so everything was lovely and hot. Nice and spicy and very flavoursome! Was worth the drive to go and collect. Will definitely be ordering again.

Used the Garamossala a few times before and it has always been excellent, not been for a while, this time very very disappointed. Food was ok, cooked ok but very bland. One dish just tasted like Sunday roast gravy. Veg curry bland and clearly just a bag of frozen veg with some gravy granules? Don’t often have a takeaway but when we do this is where we have gone, not any more.

We had a lock down delivery last night to celebrate a birthday. It was quick, hot, delicious and the same as when going to the shop the service was friendly with some banter and jokes along the way. The lady who delivered was friendly too. Thanks for a great meal as always. Please keep delivering when the world returns to normal 💜

Excellent fresh tasty food. Reasonable prices and they are really friendly. Would recommend the chicken biryani but also the balti, the lamb madras etc etc. It's brilliant!

My brother wanted a takeaway and said about this place. Amazing taste, and hot even when at home as packaged well Had a number of dishes from here and took hardly any time to get our order after placing it. The guy at the counter is so friendly and is so busy what with people coming in and the phone going. So a popular place Have used it twice within 3 weeks of each other. Tikka masala is amazing very Tasty sauce with big chunks of chicken.

The one star rating strictly reflects the vegetable tikka masala dish. The taste was sweet and overwhelmed by the heavy use of coconut milk to the point where it tastes like a plain korma. I did call to enquire thinking that maybe they got my order wrong and gave me a red Korma instead. I was told that coconut was used to keep the dish mild. But to what extent? Very disappointing indeed!

Service was excellent. Food was delicious and well cooked. Our first time eating from this takeaway and will definitely be going back. Allergy information is easy to find on the menu and a comment at the bottom suggests they are vegan friendly too.

Had the most awfull meal, unforgivable was the fact they knew the chicken had been really bad for a while when i complained, but sold it to one of their best customers anyway, this changes everything for me as i now know they will put out food they know is very poor, but sell it anyway. They have just lost a very good customer and i will never go back here. I do not trust them anymore. until you can correct the issue with suppliers, go and buy some fresh chicken elsewhere, or take it off the menu. its cost them a lot over a year and thats just from me. stupid.

We use Garam Mossalla regularly and can honestly say that the food is always excellent. If you love curry you will adore this place!! The staff at the restaurant are so friendly too.

This place has a lot of good reviews locally. We were away for a few days, would’ve liked a restaurant but this was the only real option. Food was good, reasonably priced and the service was friendly and efficient. The place was busy when we arrived to collect which is a good sign. There are some interesting meals on their menu and if we are in that area again we wouldn’t hesitate to use them and perhaps try something different.

Has to be the worst Indian take-a-way ever...!! Tandoori mixed grill dry as f#%! And a madras sauce that was compatible with spiced dishwater......!! Will never go back....!! Do yourself a favour and give it a miss....!!!!

We wanted a takeaway for a family night with 7 people. We visited in the afternoon to pre order and were ready to buy two set menus for four. They advised us this would be way too much food (so honest of them!) and suggested instead a set menu for four and another for two. They were right ! There was way more than enough food for the 7 of us with a menu for 6 ! The food was excellent - really tasty and it was unanimously agreed that the whole meal was brilliant.

Having such a good quality Indian takeaway on my doorstep is a God send. The food is Great, I normally go for something spicy and highly recommend the Garlic Chilli Chicken. This place is pick up only they do not do delivery.

Just had the most awful Indian takeaway ever. Ordered a dall soup- got a container filled with over cooked rice with a splash of dhal on. Called them and they said "That is soup". Had a lamb rezella- chewy burnt meat in dolmio sauce with a few chilis thrown in. Papadums tasted like 'old oil', My friend had a chicken ceylon and said it was foul also. In future we will pay the extra and order from one of the nicer places in Cheriton, paying the delivery charge.

Nos dieron una comida para llevar en vacaciones y mientras todo el mundo me apetecía un indio en la primera noche. Fuimos bastante estándar con Pollo Madras, un par de Tikka Massalas y una pila de los lados habituales. A un precio razonable, no el más grande pero sabroso y raciones bien preparado. Si nos quedamos sin duda local sobre una base regular. Y ocupadas, lo que siempre es una buena señal.

Went in not knowing alot about Indian food so I asked for a recommendation and Mo at the front counter asked me a few questions like how spicy, what meat I prefer, if I wanted rice and which rice i wanted. Gave me the best service and the food he recommended was incredible. Love this takeaway! 5 stars 100%

Comimos India cada Viernes como regla para empezar el fin de semana. Mo es preciosa y llega a reconocer su voz en el teléfono. Los precios son buenos. We often have food from here and it is usually very good. Some of the curries are excellent and so are some of the other dishes. Experiment and try something different!

Para llevar muy bien cuando unos amigos de visita, tamaño estándar parte, bien preparado, no más picante o grasos, justo, no te decepcionará.

Staying at Broome Park, Hawkinge was the nearest place (10mins by car) with take-away facilities and having enjoyed some fab pub meals we gave this a try as we wished to enjoy dinner in our suite. Ordered by phone and all waiting at requested time. Food we ordered was well cooked and very tasty and all correct. Efficient friendly service, no hesitation in using again when back in area. Good value. Take-away only.
