This was a delightful find. The food was good and authentic . It was reasonably priced. For a weekday meal out, just the job. It probably isn't the right place for a special occasion, though. There was a family feel about the place which I rather liked. The staff were immensely polite and the waiter Olie R exceptional. I did feel that the staff had a genuine commitment to customer service and to this restaurant as their work place. I am sure I will return here.

Wasn’t a very good experience at all! Poppadoms were stale, they were bendy and chewy. Our mains werent very nice either, we had a chicken tikka madras & lamb dansak. Chicken you could tell was frozen as some pieces were okay and others were crunchy & all the same size & cut same way. Also lacked flavour. Lamb was really tough! No music on in the background & had no atmosphere. We have been to a lot of curry houses but this one has definitely been one of the worst. Do not recommend

Food served was hot and customised to our palette

As someone who, unfortunately, suffers genuine intolerances to food, it is important for a restaurant or anyone serving you food, to get your food requirements right. Despite explaining numerous intolerances and trying to explain that I need for me food to be served plain, I was assured that plain chicken could be served. The chicken I was served was far from plain, however, this only becomes apparent after having bitten into said chicken. The upshot is that people serving you your food flat out LIE to you. So decide for yourself if you are happy to place your confidence in an establishment which blatantly ignores your genuine needs and is happy to tell you barefaced lies in the interest of taking a few quid off you. Will not be going back here EVER

Liars. Despite explaining that I have numerous food intolerances and asking if it was possible to serve me plain meat, I was assured plain meat could be served. The meat was absolutely not plain. So the only conclusion that I can draw is that this establishment does not care about my needs or welfare and is happy to LIE to me in order to take a few quid off me. Let's hope my dining experience will not adversely affect my health for the next couple of weeks. Not that they'd care, apparently. Absolutely never setting foot in this unhygienic, dishonest establishment ever again

Had dinner here last night with my boyfriend. He had king prawn vindaloo and I had chicken dansak. We shared pilau rice and garlic naan and a few papadums. Can't fault any of it - really tasty! Dansak was really flavoursome with loads of chicken, vindaloo was yummy and super spicy as expected. Good portion sizes and reasonably priced - whole thing came to just under £40. BYOB from the newsagents down the road. The man that served us was polite and attentive.

We ordered a takeaway for six people, which we collected, the restaurant was really busy (good sign) the food was excellent only problem was a main item was missing but upon phoning the owner delivered the missing item with some poppadoms added so cannot praise the service, value and food highly enough - well done

The place is very good, close to a beautiful area of ​​Folkestone, the chicken tika was top and the sagwala delicious. The people who attended us were friendly, I highly recommend them.

Great traditional curry house with an expansive, reasonably priced menu. Everything was fresh, tender and tasty - I took my partner as he had never tried Indian food before and we had a great time. Staff very friendly too.

We asked if the restaurant would open specially for us to celebrate a birthday. Usually closed Sunday afternoons, they obliged. There were about 25 of us. It was wonderful. We paid a reasonable set price and were treated to poppadoms and chutneys. Then a lovely mixed starter came out. Followed by several different curries and veg dishes with rice and nan bread. So much that many people took take away containers full. How the kitchen did it was amazing. It was all hot and very tasty. The children were happy and so were the adults. The tables were 😍beautifully set when we arrived. I love this restaurant. Always consistently excellent. Lovely clean loos. You take your own booze and they clear your mess. What is not to love.

The BEST Curry Restaurant in Folkestone. On last visit (Thu 25th Apr) saw that there were 2 new 'House Specials' on the menu. We tried both - Shahi and Shatkora - and can recommend them to all the regulars to try these new dishes. The Shatkora is a Chef's special and was delicious, the Shahi has a slight citrus flavouring which was most pleasing to the palate. We know what we'll be ordering again on our next visit. Well done to Sammy and the staff for another great night.

Wouldn't return as only average. I always have a Dansak and this one was horrible I had to send it back. Far too sweet and not hot. Also they tried to overcharge us by £20!!! Not impressed.

Didn't have the best experience. Over the phone service was really poor by a lady and I'm not sure about the food. It didn't treat my tummy well. Been to the loo several times. We aren't even local just visiting family so thought it would be nice to have some Asian food but didn't go well unfortunately.

The waiter was rude. Not welcoming. He was in a rush to quickly serve us food. We were not comfortable at the table. We ordered drinks and they forgot to bring them. Not great place

The lady in this restaurant steals your money. I purchased a biriyani and there was no papadam and salad and charged me extra. These are given at any restaurants as part of the biriyani. She was so rude on the phone when I questioned. This is the second time this has happened. When I asked why it was missing her answer was "its my restaurant and we run it how we want." What a disgusting and pathetic lady. She spoiled my day

We live in Hawkinge so would normally support our local Indian, but the last takeaway we had from there was poor and had no meat in the curry. We thought we would try Curry Garden. Ordered on the phone, quick delivery, hot food on arrival and great taste and quality. Thank you Curry Garden. We will be ordering again. 🙂

Service was polite and friendly. However, the staff sat in the restaurant video chatting on their phones pretty loudly. Food came out very, very quickly (we were the only customers) and was your average British curry fare. Restaurant is unlicensed, so only soft drinks available (we knew this, and were happy with soft drinks). I didn't check the bill properly, but later discovered that we'd been over charged by about £10. Not sure how that happened, and totally my fault for not checking.

I think this is the best curry in Folkestone. We'vetried a few ( been here 5 years) and been underwhelmed. If you want a traditional ( Bangladeshi) curry house with all the recognisable dishes;done well, and a few to try out, come here. No alchohol is served and the main restaurant could do with an update. But I think the food has great flavours and is overall well executed.

Wonderful tasty food, great attentive service.

Nice clean and spacious restaurant. The waiter tailored the food to my liking which was welcomed. It wasn't busy on a Tuesday, so service was quick. My food arrived in good time and looked spectacular! I ate all the main and rice too, it was good but not anything special. I understand they're busy on the delivery side, but I found eating food in the restaurant nothing to make a big impression. It was also a little disappointing there wasn't a hot towel or mini chocolate after the meal. I would certainly eat here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice for Indian food in Folkestone.

No licence so take your own drinks. Managed to get a table with no booking on a Saturday for 5. Food was good, service was quick.

We didn’t book but they found a table for us. Very clean and comfortable. Sadly the food was really lacking in flavour. I’m no connoisseur of Indian food but this meal was really quite bland. Such a shame. The Korma was so pale it was almost milk colour. The saag aloo was just potato and spinach. No spice.

First time here, service impeccable and the atmosphere is great however the butter chicken literally just tasted like butter and the lamb tikka massala was very bland. The starters was the best thing, we would give it a go again but with different main courses.

The food and service here is amazing. Went for dinner on Sunday evening and had starters and mains and all was very good, with large portions and great flavours. You need to take your own alcohol and they were very happy to bring glasses and ice to the table. There is no corkage charge.

Food is good but mind it’s really a small portion. If you are hungry it’s not the place for you. If you want to just experience food then it’s ok.

Food was amazing. Portions were fab. Didn't realise they didn't serve alcohol but they let you bring your own so we popped to the shop and got a bottle of red. They don't accept tips though as they don't get them.

Absolutely delicious, first time ordering from this establishment and definitely will be ordering from them again soon, friendly driver and food came in 20 minutes, very pleased.

Absolutely lovely. From the staff to the food. The toilets were clean. It was a delicious meal. We looked o trip advisor for reviews and all positive ones so we thought we would give it a go!

ordered chicken tikka, garlic chilli chicken and naan bread. Food was served quickly by friendly staff and was great! I especially liked the garlic chilli chicken. This place will definitely become a regular spot for me :)

We booked to eat here as a rare treat, sadly the food wasn't very good, there was no ambience and one thing when you walk into an Indian restaurant is the wonderful aromas of cooking and spices etc but there was none. It was a pretty awkward experience, none of us finished our meal as it wasn't very nice. The staff on the other hand were very attentive and friendly, it was just a shame the food wasn't up to scratch

Had a lovely meal - service was excellent and the food tasty. Would definitely recommend. Had the mixed starter that was lovely, followed by the Korai chicken - very tasty. Came with husband and two children, we all really enjoyed our food, although we did over order as the portion sizes were very generous. The restaurant was busy - two large tables and whole restaurant full, by the time we left, but staff were very attentive.

NOM NOM NOM, I had the Special Biryani, and to say it was packed with meat is an understatement. Great value for money, so much food, loved every bite. Plenty to choose from. Many options that would be kid friendly. I’d recommend their place to anyone in Folkestone.

We were graciously welcomed into the restaurant by all staff, who were pleasant and attentive throughout our visit. The food was excellent, crispy poppadoms, buttery naan and delicious, hot curries and great mushroom rice. It’s bring your own booze, which is a good idea although we were happy to have soft drinks with fizzy Diet Coke and bottles of sparkly water. Would definitely visit again if we go back to Folkestone as my husband says it’s the vindaloo he’s had in years. Car park at bottom of hill, free after 6pm 😄

First time I've been here but won't be afraid to return, service and food excellent.

Visited on a night away in Kent, best curry I've had in ages (chicken madras) Chicken was moist and just the right amount of spice, rice and drinks were perfect too, even came with a little starter of poppadoms and a little selection too. Will be coming back on our next visit for sure Friendly staff and good prices 5/5

The delivery is useless ordered for 8pm an hour b4 and the delivery driver did not take no notice of directions so I had to cancel my order and go to another restaurant that turn out 💯 % better and £5 cheaper so will be using the other restaurant from now on

I've been eating curry takeaways from here for a while now, and I can't complain about any of it , service is from phone call to door its approximately 30 to 40 mins there's plenty on the menu and food remains hot

Christmas day and the staff went out of their way to make our day brilliant. The food was exceptional,service wonderful. All fifteen of us were served together and the food was suberb. I love this curry house. It's the absolute best.

One of the last sit down curry houses left in town. Bring your own beers keeps the price down. Food really good and service to boot. Will be back again next month hopefully. The gents toilets could do with a bit of a refurb / working lock on the door.

Nice menu with all the expected choices and some chef's specials. Food tasted good and portions were generous, prices were appropriate. Staff were friendly and the restaurant was spacious. However... No alcohol is being served at the moment.

This restaurant has been in Folkestone since 1963. The food is always excellent and well presented. Sammy is always accomodating and happy. We often go in on our own or in a large group with family and friends. How they manage all our different orders is beyond me but everything always comes together. The restaurant does takeaways and l think this is what kept it going through lockdown. We are all are going Xmas day as a large family and really looking forward to it. I love the tarka dhall and and sag. They do not have an alcohol licence but you can take your own drink in. The prices are reasonable. My favourite Indian restaurant.

Very poor tikka was dry and mid meal took condiments even tho was still using them wouldn't mind if was busy but was empty so won't be returning

Heerlijke currys en Super vriendelijke en behulpzame obers ! Als voorgerecht hadden we nane bread met knoflook en n soort crispy pannekoek /kroepoek. Wij hebben verschillende soorten rijst gehad met kip . Alles smaakte heerlijk!

Disgusting 🤢 rude staff, dry food, disorganised and over priced … avoid avoid avoid Arranged birthday party. Little angry man threw plates at us spitting angrily ‘Oder food then you get order’ despite have having ordered it at the start of night AND before we even got there and repeatedly when we were seated. When we went to pay, they wanted full price for children and demanded we should be grateful they provide water we had to ask for so many times. They even had the nerve to say we had left a mess when all we had left were some party celebrations we provided. Not what you would expect from a 4 start service Not impressed at all and not sure why there are good reviews

Being an Indian enthusiast visiting India and restaurants in brick lane I’m qualified to judge and believe me when I say this place is very good. Always hot and full of flavour. Sammy runs a tight ship here so the service is fantastic. Try the Achari it will not disappoint you trust me.

Fancied a curry whilst staying in Folkestone and found this curry house on Google. We were not disappointed. Fantastic service, the butter chicken tasted amazing. I highly recommend a visit.

Curries do not taste like they should. Korai not served sizzling and water had been added. Brought wrong curry and had wait for them to bring what we had ordered. Free parking evenings.

Arrived alone for dinner. Ordered 1 popadom and a jug of water. The popadom arrived without the water and just a dish of mint sauce, no other customary pickles. After I had finished said popadom my main course arrived, prawn vindaloo with peas rice, still...
