First time used for a long time, and it was excellent food, and good quantities. Onion bhaji lovely, and all a great price.

This is a local Indian takeaway and today I pre ordered dinner for this evening for my husband and myself as it is his birthday and we have both worked long hours this week. The food was delivered 20 minutes early, my husband wasn't even home when it came. Then to make it worse both my main meal and side dish were missing so I rang the restaurant and was told they could deliver it in about 3p minutes to which I said no as the rest of the food would be cold. The food we were delivered was only luke warm. The lady on the phone then suggested I pop my oven on to keep the food we had warm while I wait for the rest. I declined this but they refused to refund me any money. I definitely won't be ordering from then again!

Once again a complete failure, food ordered over the phone. Told it would take 45mins to an hour - food arrives after 1hour 15mins and part of the order is missing. Already paid so called and told well next time we’re give it to you for free … well it’s not free as I’ve already paid for it! Then got hung up on. Such a shame as we’ve ordered from there for years and now we’re be looking for a new place to go.

Absolutely disgusting curry. Worst curry I’ve ever had. No flavour, tiny portions. Awful.

Decided to make a change from my usual curry house unfortunately big mistake. Everything was cold even though only toke 35 mins from order to delivery received. Curry was bland, sag aloo bland. Naan had hardly any coconut. And the bread on the prawn pure tasted stale. Just seemed things were frozen and microwaved so everything had no flavour. Disappointed and won't order again.

These guys are amazing and so is the food. They were getting ready to close but turned all the ovens on again to cook my meal, the food tastes fabulous and the guys are so friendly. Definitely my local Indian from now on. Thank you so much.

Placed order online, not delivered on time. Called after time it should have been delivered (already over an hours wait!!) to be told it would be another 20-25 mins! Asked to cancel order to be told they don’t know how to cancel the order & refund me. Such a shame as the food has always been very good when I’ve previously ordered

I'm very disappointed. I ordered something, they give wrong order with coconut inside and I'm allergic. I call them ,they been rood to me and hang up the phone. Tell me as well all them recipies been with coconut and they can't replace my order. I order diner and I stay hungry. Axept that . Tham food is not bengal atoll. I will dispute my payment from the bank and never order again from people wich are no responsible for them Customers health and they don't update them manu. I'm lucky my partner try the food before me when I told him is wrong. I said to them i wanna order something alse than . And the answer was im not going out for one order . Im too busy.Otherwise I suppose to be in hospital now.

Korma chicken curry terrible. Bright yellow sauce laced with what tasted like half a kilo of coconut. Sweeter than a plate of custard which is what it looked like. Ate the chicken pieces as I didn't want to waste them.....threw the rest out. No return for me. Not sure these people actually know what genuine Indian food is! Additions not acceptable were a small plastic bag of chopped raw onion and a tiny tub of what was meant to be mint yoghurt which tasted nothing like what it was meant to be. Very poor all round.

Have used the Bengal Spice for several years and always had good meals ( mostly Chicken Kormas) with great sized portions . However the last couple of times we've been disappointed by the meals and our last takeaway had what seemed to be a small chicken portion shared between our 2 meals and was mostly Korma sauce . Won't be ordering here again sadly as it's a lovely Korma but want more than a few tiny pieces of chicken with a meal and not just sauce . Takeaway service was always good if a little slow , usually about 45 minutes but food always arrived hot .

Tonight my husband and I ordered a takeaway for delivery. Delivery was by a very polite driver and food is pipping hot. The meal we had was extremely tasty and went down a treat. This is my forever Indian takeaway well done chaps see you soon. .

Ordered from this takeaway about 5 times now. The food is exceptional, always full of flavour and the perfect amount of spices. We’ve tried quite a few dishes from here and never been disappointed. The chef is really talented. Always been delivered hot too. Would definitely recommend (top tip, try the chilli paneer! Yum!)

We have had takeaway delivered from here many times. We order direct as manager has brilliant customer service skills, the food is always delivered fast and hot and fresh. Don’t order through just eat as they take so much money from the businesses. The food here is so good, 100% recommend!!

Just polished tandoori chicken and chicken tikka masala, and nice chunky chips and rice with fam, best I had in a long time, meat was moist and tasted fresh, salad was nice too, been Hythe Dymchurch cheriton most of folkestone curry houses, around but bengal was tasty very tasty keep it up will definitely order again pretty soon 😋

Not to be mean.the curry wasnt all it could have been.gritty n definately not left long enough.the rice was forgotton.potatoes wernt cooked properly.very disappointing

Ordered this evening and at first had a slight issue regarding card payment. This was quickly sorted out by the managers wife calling me back. Our food arrived within 25mins and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend :).

First time ordering here since they have a new owner. I loved it before would order weekly however today my food took nearly two hours to arrive and was cold when arrived and having already spoken to them and being told it would be ten minutes I am not happy. I have had no compensation and am really disappointed as I loved it here.

After years of ordering this will now be the last. After calling to enquire about the change in the food, discovered the old Owner is now gone. The new chefs do not by a long shot match up to the old owners cooking. Very disappointed and had I known prior to ordering, I would not have ordered.

We got various dishes for 4 people but I always get my favorite Chicken Tikka Masala which had its vibrant red colour and as my hubby would say sweet pudding taste but I loved it. Only bad point is my friend had a Biryani and said it tasted a little bland which it did. I will be ordering here again regardless as my dish was fab.

Usually great service and yummy food - but recently ordered and waited 40 mins after the delivery time, called to ask where my food was and got told to hang on whilst he spoke to kitchen...waited 15 minutes on the phone! Left me holding on until I got fed up and hung up. W very disappointed

charged 50p for deliver which isn't a bad price if it was in Time rang twice told on way we live 5 mins round corner 30 mins late popadoms demolished to dust Korma didn't even taste like a korma chicken tikka main was cold rice cold ordered garlic naan got chilli naan instead and delivery woman looked stressed out and wasn't very polite

Food arrived late and cold. had to reheat in the oven.Did complain and gave us a free bottle of coke, and they were extremely apologetic. However, we did order x2 mango sauces received one, also asked for no yogurt which we received and forgot the salad. Did not complain about that. First time using them would try again as was probably a busy night for them.

Really yummy food and good quality! Had a little issue with the time the food was delivered however this was an issue between the restaurant and just eat something to do with them not receiving our order. The veggie side dishes (saag paneer, tarka dhal, chana massala) were badly cooked and almost inedible. Lamb passanda was ok. Overall disappointing.

Rice was sent back as was cold, on arrival at table. Curry dishes were full of sauce and only 6 piece's of meat on one dish. Side dishes also cold! After paying almost £ 80.00 for a family meal , thought it was not as people recommended.

Had a lovely meal a few days ago, tonights was awful, most went in the bin.

Food was tasteless didn't come hot and my starter of mixed kebab tasted dry and like it was frozen and microwaved

They were 25 minutes late, food was mediocre, ordered a bottle of coke with my meals (one being a spicy curry) and that did not arrive. When I asked the young lady delivering where it was she replied that she left it at the shop. So 20 mins later I call the shop and explain and the man on the phone said he gave the girl my drink but he would sort it. Now another 20 mins later from that phone call (an hour after the original delivery time) I still haven't received my drink. I will be asking for a refund if the matter isn't resolved soon. Just to put cherry on the cake, the onion bhagi's were cold and swimming in oil. What a let down! Won't be going back!

When the food finally arrived after lieing to us about the delivery driver and us collecting it at 19:20 after phoning again and being told that the food would be a further 15 minutes when we ordered at 17:35 we went and collected it! The food was hugely different to the normal lovely standard and very disappointing... they also charged us the full amount and were very rude to me on the phone! Have been a loyal customer for over a year and am really disappointed!

The last few times we have ordered the delivery time stated has been wrong by around half hour. Food still good and fresh, onion bhajis were a little burned though.

The order was 30 minutes late and it was because they couldn't find my flat. Would have been easier if the delivery driver had called earlier. Food was mostly nice and generous. However, I ordered a Peshawari naan and I think I got a plain one (or it was just very bland) great onion bhaajis though!

Always get our curry from here but had one of the nicest curries from Bengal Spice tonight. Slightly hotter than normal but that was a good thing. Delivered much earlier than requested but better that than late!

Told my delivery time was 7:30 it didn't arrive until 8pm after calling the restaurant at 7:45 the answer that they gave me was "I don't know where he is he left 30 minutes ago" when the food finally arrived it was just about warm but leaking in the bag as it looked like it had been thrown around the car. So called the restaurant to inform them that the food was barely warm their reply was "sorry but nothing we can do now." We've ordered from here many times and never had an issue but will not be ordering from again.

Food was half hour late no phone call to say why or an apology on receipt

We ordered chicken methi and king prawn Koran. The prawns were well over cooked and tandoori coloured with big chunks of onion and pepper ( Chinese style) not a hint of spice even though not labelled as mild. The chicken methi was just a carton of spinach with chicken, more like a sag aloo with chicken instead of potato, and again no hint of curry flavour. We did let bengal spice know and to be fair they offered to replace it but only if we went to collect. The guy told my sister that people in Folkestone don't complain they just eat it. We won't be using this place again.
