What can I say.... the best Indian meal I have had in a long, long time! The smell wafting up the road as I approached was fab and I knew it was gonna be good I wasn't disappointed. We had korma, pilau rice , takka dhal, naan and poppadoms. This will be my go to Indian from now on. I do not know where they learnt their craft, but they sure can cook! 10 out of 10 from me 👌 Lovely people too. I rang it through and it was ready on time.

I'm local and this is a great takeaway. Great value, top quality, food is still edible next day and I would highly recommend.

Will be the very last time we come here, to say it was a disappointing one is an understatement, we've been coming for the last 6 years and tonight's order was just awful we had dishes missing everything was stone cold and the nann bread must have been cooking for days was more sturdy than a house brick, would not recommend to anyone

Update have stopped going after it was closed down to hygiene. So no longer Our current go to for curry take out in Hythe after recommendation. Our last local curry place had gone down hill with poor quality cooked chicken and massively over spiced so people got ill. Last night was for a family of 5. Everything spot on. Kormas, Pathia, Tikka Main and chicken Batara. Everyone commented chicken was good. Batara was a bit under spiced as menu listed as spicey but stil a nice dish. Good value and will use again.

Never disappointed, which is why we try and come as regularly as we can. Comfortable seating and of course great food as always.

Really disappointing meal when it’s been so good in the past. Large lumps of gristly lamb - and few of those - very dry. Sometimes the bajis and poppadums have been dried out. Recent meals haven’t been what they used to be. A shame as we want to support local businesses.

This place is the nutz. Top quality every time.

I have had food from Dabba five or six times now, and it is superb. The richest tasting Dhanzak I can remember. Staff are polite and courtious and the pickup time is usually around 20 minutes... can't go wrong. I love outside of the delivery area, so no experience of their delivery service, so I can't comment on that.

First time..really enjoyed it will definitely be back! Good portion great value for money.

Amazing food tried it for the first time and was blown away. The chicken curry was really good and the naan is honestly one of the nicest I’ve tried. Glad I went there!

Had a very nice takeaway dinner from here. Had to wait 15 minutes for it to be cooked, but at least you know it's freshly prepared. Good sized portions at a reasonable price. Well worth a try.

Great food and friendly service

First time using The Spice Pot. We are here on holiday from Shropshire. All I can say is OMG absolutely delicious! The food was cooked to perfection and the flavours were gorgeous. If I was able to take one thing home with me from our holiday it would be The Spice Pot. We cannot praise it enough. So if you haven't eaten here try it out, you won't be disappointed. Thank you to chef and the team for an amazing meal!

My husband who is from Essex has finally found an Indian takeaway that he enjoyed 100% after 8 years of living in Hythe - prompt delivery and excellent spice in curry.

food is tasty, hot, excellent price and delivery is always prompt. An amazing meal as normal, thoroughly recommend

My little getaway down in Folkestone was made better with the discovery of this great takeaway. Staff were friendly, helped recommend dishes based on my personal taste, and the recommendations were spot on, cooked to perfection. The peshwari nan was the best I have had. Highly recommended.

Came down for a little weekend break but was a little worried about food. So glad I came across this takeaway. The dishes were extremely moreish and spot on with flavour, highly recommend. Staff were also nice and helpful when I was struggling to pick my order, explained the dishes well and gave good recommendations based on my flavour preferences.

As a regular customer, I arrived at 10.19pm to be told in a very rude manner you are closed when you are advertised as open to 10.30pm I had driven from Dover to get to you before closing time. I was extremely angry with this attitude! V poor

Absolutely spot on food. Cannot stress enough the quality and quantity of portions. It's food that makes you feel good and it's affordable. I'm glad I live near by but this Indian is still one of the top Indians the Folkestone area. Staff are really nice and the kitchen looks clean also 👍

The best Indian takeaway I have managed to find anywhere. My partner is very fussy with food and this is the only Indian takeaway that she likes (we have tried many). Highly recommend the Lamb Tikka Masala.

Lovely tea room ,pot of tea with a hot cheese scone and onion relish yum yum.no tea bags for this place !! No no all sorts of tea please go you will love it . Then after well buy some loose tea to try yourself ?

Tried for first time as quite local... the vegetable balti was ridiculously sweet! So much so was practically inedible. The chicken korma had way to much coconut in it. The sag aloo had very dry potatoes in it. My guess they where not very fresh. Other dishes may be better but based what we tried i would not recommend.

Extremely good food, very friendly staff.

Dabba has been excellent from day one but last night's meal confirms that it's actually getting better. Chicken Vindaloo is sometimes a bit of a "dare" in some places but tried Dabba's last night and it was absolutely first class. Plenty of heat but the flavouring was the thing that really hit the spot and this was complemented by a delicious Motor paneer. Wife's Dansak was also pronounced "best ever". As for the portions--well all we need is another side dish and some rice and we go again!!. Pity there are no deliveries but we put the oven on low and fetch the curries before we have a drink and this seems to improve the taste.

One of the best takeaways I’ve ever been too.... The Prawn Korai was amazing. All the good we ordered was wonderfully cooked . Lightly spiced and not a hint of MSG . The very friendly staff made the experience even better... WOW.

Can’t fault any meal I’ve EVER had from here, from the day it opened it has been fantastic and the staff are so friendly, food is out of this world and not had one beat it yet!! Keep up the good work

Had another late night stop here. Awesome....have been a few times since it opened and I must say I am developed some serious love for this place. Food is well cooked and the service is complimented well. Oh and there is free jellybeans by the till...GET IN!

Once again Dabba lived upto my previous order. The meat curry...wow; was tenderlicious. The King prawn curry flavours sky high.

Stumbled upon this takeaway whilst in Hythe, prices are very reasonable and great value for money. I had some tikka for starters, which were very tasty and succulent. I also had a lamb Biriyani for mains which was exquisite. Couldn't really fault anything. Customer service was fab as I was informed I get 10% discount for collecting which I was unaware of.

I was at Hythe for a meeting and really wanted a hot curry and I googled Indian restaurants and Dabba was the nearest. As a Bangladeshi who eats rice and curry pretty much every day I was shocked when I ate from Dabba. I had to bring out the manager to tell him how GOOD the food was and it tastes like my mothers cooking very authentic food great taste and priced well. The people of Hythe are a lucky bunch to experience quality food! :)

I love my curries hence I have a good understanding of flavours in curries and I must say the curries in Dabba have so much flavour. I've tried many of their dishes, chicken, meat and prawns and all have been a great satisfaction. Furthermore customer service is on point. The lads in the restaurant make you feel well so welcome. 5 stars for me all the way.

The service and food is A class. The Prawn dish being my favourite. Will be returning to try the other options on the menu.

I regularly visit this place and am never dissapointed with the food. I have tried many dishes my favourite being the chicken tikka dansak with my special request of making it extra hot. Prices are cheap and the portions are big. Highly recommend. Definitely the best curry house in Hythe.

One of the best places I've ate in Kent, alongside Clay Oven in Folkestone. The King Prawn Korai dish was mouth-watering! I'll be ordering more from here no doubt.

As we were staying in Hythe for a few days we tried a few of the local food outlets and i am really happy to say that Dabba was by far the best , the food was freshly cooked and very flavourful,as is usual i had a Chicken Dhansak which was tasty, spicy and with a definite zing to it, i would happily recommend Dabba to anyone who likes a good curry

since it opened I have been quite a few times and I’ve never had a bad meal yet, portions are good with plenty of meat. Collection only but I think this makes it better and you get a 10% discount ! Food is normally ready in about 30 mins. Fast, Friendly, fine food. Can’t beat it

Found this place by mistake one of the nicest currys that I have tried and I've had a few the place is spotless and the food is of a high standard will defenatly call again well worth a visit highly recommend this outlet

Since the opening I have been going every week and that's because the food is fantastic. Open kitchen so you can see these guys make effort in the cooking and maintaining cleanliness. By far one of the best Indian places I have been too. Priced really well and the portions are really good. I haven't had to use any other indian since I have used them and the guys are super friendly too.

I'm delighted to recommend Dabba. The team is friendly and very welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. Their chefs are brilliant and they've created the best Pathia dishes I've had in years and their onion bhajees are awesome. Well worth the visit - try them!

Probably the best curry place in the area. Food cooked to pefection and the service is very friendly. I like the combination here. Will defo be making this my place to go when i am in the area.

Tasty food, good sized portions and the guys are really friendly. Always reluctant to try out curry places until they have met the 6 month mark, but this place was recommended to me by my neighbour. The guys do go out of their way to impress. Will defo add to my list of regular takeaways!

We order from The Dabba quite regularly, once a week at the very least. Their food quality, and the service is great. I usually go for their Lamb Jalfrezi, with the Garlic naan. It's spot on! Can't go wrong with this place, doesn't break the bank either.
