Ganga in Sevenoaks

I’m in love with this place. The food is amazing. Best curry in Sevenoaks. I rarely sit in but order a takeaway and it’s fantastic. Highly recommend.

It was very quiet when we went on a Thursday night. We all really enjoyed our dishes. There was plenty of it and it was all really tasty. They are very adaptable with their dishes. I am a vegetarian and asked if they could cook me a paneer dhansak, it was not a problem and it was delicious. We fairly regularly get take-aways from here and we've never had a bad meal from them. Highly recommended.

My and a few friends have tried several Indian restaurants in the Sevenoaks area and none come anywhere close to the quality of food provided by Ganga. Hands down, the best money can buy and highly recommend!

Food here is incredible. By far the best Indian restaurant in Sevenoaks. The meat is great quality and has been since it opened. The staff are superb, attentive and kind. With take away you get the same great quality at home!

Came at the weekend with friends and was very disappointed with slow service. Staff made us feel very uncomfortable and rushed even though their service was slow . The food lacked flavour and spice and was not upto expectation. Very disappointing and would not recommend

Delicious takeaway tonight, king prawns really were king prawn and lamb was delicious and very soft! Would definitely recommend.

We left our house seeking a nice family dinner, and boy were we pleased! They had something for everyone and chicken 'n' chips for kids. The popadoms were excellent and the tandoori chicken was top-notch. I would hoghly recommend ganga to anyone seeking good, reasonably priced food.

Have walked away from all Indian Restaurants in the area owing to standards dropping. Reluctantly tried the Ganga and have thoroughly enjoyed Their fine dining standards.

This restaurant continues to use the best quality meat and ingredients since the day they opened, which is evident by the delicious food they produce both as a take away or in house. They go over and above on their service with a warm welcome from the moment you step in through the doors. Highly recommended.

Not only was the service impeccable although they were short staffed the evening we visited, but the food. The FOOD!! Absolutely delicious and certainly one of the best Indians I’ve had in quite a while. We had quite a feast between 6 (chicken dishes, Goan curry, Naga Lamb which was very tender, lots of sides including Sag Aloo & Naan which was all epic). Would highly recommend to anyone!!!!

We go to this curry house regularly and it never fails to deliver. Fantastic menu, always prepared to the highest standards and always the best service. We will continue to come back!

order 4 nan bread and 3 of them was torn and falling apart, never experienced this sort of food from this place before, and main dishes does not taste similar as it used to be.

Title says it all. Ordered a curry from them for the family they said it should take up to an hour.... well. An hour went by and no sign of the food so I call up I’m told it is 5 minutes away so I wait. 20 minutes pass from that last call... so I call again ‘yes the driver is very near! you are the 2nd drop of 3’ so I thought ok they’ve gotta be near now then. Another 15 minutes still no food! Frustrated that I was expecting to be eating more around 7.30 now started to look more like 8.30 which is quite late to be tucking into full blown curry so I decide to ring again. They assured me that the driver was not far to which I explained it’s hard to believe considering I’ve been told that for the last 35 minutes. At this point if the curry wasn’t already pre paid for i’d of probably told them to stick it but it was getting later on the evening and we was at a loose end food wise. In the end 2 hours after ordering and a whole hour after they originally said the food was going to arrive it finally did. Just shockingly bad service considering a family of four ordering starters mains sides you’d think they would value that sort of custom... clearly not. Anyway onto the food........ the word begins with s and ends in t and has h i in the middle. What do you expect when your foods been in a car for over an hour. NEVER AGAIN

no dips was served with papadam, starter onion bhaji was over cooked and burned, chicken korma meat was lean, uncooked meat served, was served with a very soggy roti type bread on the side which had no texture, chicken shashlik was covered in a very sickly glaze which made it inedible, certainly didn't taste good at all, it’s a shame to see Ganga has gone so far downhill, I would not recommend this restaurant and would certainly never order again.Completely disappointed would recommend to completely avoid.

Food is not only below average worst below average. Starter of chicken tikka was raw. Main meal of tandoori mixed grill chicken tikka was raw and under cooked aswell, and tandoori chicken was not cooked properly, inside tandoori chicken there was raw meat and red blood on top of the bone, as main Shimla chicken was amazing but the pilau rice was cold, upon further studying I realised this is the worst food I ever had. I left the meal as I obviously cant eat raw chicken.Did order from this restaurant before, but this time it was proper let down. Unfortunately it has gone down hill. In summary this is not grand, it's not even good or average - stay away. Not ordering again back and this certainly wasn't good at all.Avoid at all costs

menu was been delivered by post, so thought to give it a go, food was delivered on time and all the dishes was horrible, the most disappointing was the papadum and they was so oily and gristly it had seeped through the white paper bags, and there were dips missing, no dips was served, shockingly bad, and even all of the papadums taste as they was cooked a week before, as a starter we ordered onion bhaji, they was under cooked, can still taste raw flour inside onion bhaji, absolutely disgusting again, and both the chicken tikka masala taste amazing but only the sauce, meat was under cooked, such a shame, and finally which was more disappointing all the rice was cold, not even warm, need to heat up in microwave, rubbish food,We will never order from this Indian again especially as there are so many better ones in the Sevenoaks area. Do not order unless you want rubbish food!!!!!! It would have been better, ordering from some where else.

Saw this restaurant recommended by someone on Facebook & decided to give it a go (have fond memories of when Sid & Paula ran this venue as the Prince of Wales pub & when John ran this as Tandoori nights!). The menu looked impressive, but we always order our 'go to' favourites when trying somewhere for the first time. Our call was answered straight away, the food arrived hot when promised (we opted for delivery) & the cost as was expected. The meal was very good & we'll definitely be ordering from here again - & trying some of the other (more interesting) menu options!

we did oder 2 main dishes 2 sides 1 biriani and a stater on the website, none of the dishes taste as good and delicious as before, 2 of the main dish taste horrible, biriani taste disgusting, even though the vegetable curry with biriani in poor taste, ,both the side dish taste nasty, and the starter taste unpleasant, all the dishes taste as it was not cooked by the Chef, it taste as was cooked by kitchen porter, Totally unsatisfiable food was delivered.

Consistently good curry, best in the Sevenoaks area. Only downside is the online ordering system which can go wrong - best to ring up and pay over the phone for delivery.

We order food for dinner on Saturday 19 December, chicken tikka was not cooked, it was abit raw inside, chicken tikka masala and chicken korma aswell same chicken was a bit raw, and all 3 nan breads was over cooked and parched and charred underneath. Before when we order food was very good and cooked properly, but now food is not up to standard, as it suppose to be, As far as it concern, if undercook meat and overcook nan bread is served, this restaurant will loose their customers and reputation aswell. Very disappointed and not happy at all with the food.Will never oder again.

delicious food as usual, all the dish was amazing, ordered chicken dish but was delivered lamb, which was very spicy, thought to ring and inform over the phone, but then realise all you guys might be very busy, cos last Saturday before Christmas, well it never happen before though ( sending wrong food ), cos we have been ordering from from you guys for a long time.

excellent food and excellent service, almost 20 people in the restaurant at the same time, one of the member of staff with glasses on , was on shift without out wearing musk. Local council has been informed, social distancing and wearing musk at work rule is not followed.

Arrived a little late, was greeted warmly and taken to our table. Food was very good, I’d give 8 out of 10 in taste and variety. Relaxing atmosphere, prompt, friendly and discreet service. The restaurant was clean, very clean and so were the toilets. Price was reasonable. Not very wheelchair friendly and parking in Seal can be a small challenge, but don’t let that put you off, it is worth it.

My husband went toilet and the flush was broken with water draining all over the floor.Myself also went toilet and didn't have a sani bin for ladies stuff which means using a normal bin and is not health and safety as can result in blood contamination which made me feel really unconfortable.

Visited for my birthday. Absolutely delicious food, lovely presentation and very friendly staff. The restaurant was very quiet when we visited and we ended up having the whole place to ourselves. When they found out it was my birthday I got a free dessert and drinks. They even sang happy birthday. Couldn't recommend highly enough. Thankyou for making my birthday meal so special

After trying most of the Indian restaurants around Sevenoaks this is by far my favourite. Great takeaway service

(Photos taken before lockdown) The food here is just absolutely delicious. I’ve been eating here regularly over the past couple of years and always look forward to my next meal. I love the small touches with the fresh herbs and spices. It’s clear to anyone who enjoys food that the chef puts his heart into all of the dishes. The quality of the food is only matched by the front of house service. Polite, friendly and they have made a real effort to bring some life to the village. We’ve had some fantastic evenings there when they have put on live music. Very thankful they’ve stayed open and delivered during the lockdown!

Of all the Indian restaurants in my area in my opinion Ganga is the very best for eating in & for takeaway. I know they do a lot for the local community, plus they offer excellent discounts for NHS staff while in lock-down, which means my wife qualifies on a Thursday evening for 70% off!

And the king prawns are delicious, lightly cooked, not rubbery like many other restaurants ! Well done, especially grateful to have it delivered whilst in isolation, and at this time of Ramadan.

We have ordered from Ganga on several occasions and they are always friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely divine! We have tried a range of their dishes and they have all been very good. The online ordering system can be a bit unreliable and is the one thing that could be improved upon. But it's easy to phone through and check that they have the order so it's no big deal.All in all they are brilliant.

The staff are not only polite, but are they are also attentive. This ensures good service. The manager liked to make sure his patrons enjoy their evenings, and if you've over indulged by drinking too much, he'll ensure your driven home safely without charge. The food is excellent, good range of Indian dishes for meat, fish and vegetarians alike. Attended their Elvis evening, haven't sang and danced so much in years. Brilliant evening out

Food is very very good and so much better than the place in Kemsing. More expensive but worth every penny!

I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. The food is consistently good. The chicken and lamb are very succulent and everything tastes fresh. Combined with friendly staff and a nice atmosphere, it’s a must try.

Wow! I took my family, 11of us in total to this restaurant for a birthday celebration. It was their first visit and they thought that it was the best Indian restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing and despite the fact that we had ordered such a variety of different dishes, everything was served at the same time and all of the dishes were different from each other - not always the case in these situations. I can not recommend Ganga highly enough and we will definitely make a return visit!

Ganga catered for approx 50 people at a party I attended at a friends house on Saturday. They deliverd various dishes , naans, samosa and sauces etc. Beautifully presented and tasted absolutely amazing. I have eaten at Gangas previously and not been disappointed. 5* from me.

I have eaten at this resturant with friends from Kemsing and this sat had the pleasure of tasting a wide range of their delish food at our friends wedding vow renewal. The restaurant delivered various dishes, naans, semosa,s etc, the food was exceptional !! Meat tender and tasty. They then collected the banmaries the next day. So whether you go to their very friendly restaurant or want them to cater for a function, you really can,t go wrong with this place. We came up from Southampton with other friends

We are regular longstanding customers and i am appalled with the standard of service and the quality of the food! Stale poppadoms, cold food and too expensive for what you get. I have no problem paying for good food but this was a complete waste! My family and i will not be returning to this restaurant!

Met the chef who was really experienced to prepare casual style of food, inspired by India's bustling kitchen culture. I have experienced fresh, vibrant and creative dishes in couple of visits from the menu and my business friends from local community enjoyed the evening with drinks and food...mouthwatering dessert..

After being disappointed by other local Indian restaurants we decided to try Ganga in Seal, as it appeared they could deliver to us over the other side of Sevenoaks.

I hadn’t been to this restaurant since it changed hands some time ago. Visited tonight and was very pleasantly surprised with the lovely welcome, great staff and fabulous food.

Another visit to Ganga with friends, and it was even better this time! The food is the best I have tasted in an Indian restaurant, and this time I had the Naga Lamb. The quality of the meat and thr flavour of the sauce I would highly recommend (if you like your food spicy of course). We all enjoyed our dishes and will be returning again as soon as possible.

Every meal I’ve had here has been delicious. All of the food tastes like it has been just been freshly prepared and is above average quality. I’m very lucky to have this restaurant close to where I live. Friendly staff and authentic atmosphere complete the experience. I couldn’t recommend Ganga highly enough

We ordered online, selected time and that was it. Food arrived exactly on time and was delicious. Would highly recommend this for anyone for a takeaway. The food was very tasty, only grumble was no salad with the chicken tikka! Hey ho!

Visited tonight for my birthday meal and we honestly couldn’t fault any of the food. All very fresh, flavoursome and the meats were all excellent quality. We’ve also had takeaway meals from here many times and it they have also always been very good. Nice touch with a complimentary drink at the end. Service all very good. Will be back again soon!

I have been to alot of curry houses all over kent and finally found an amazing one..The main courses are exceptional especially all the lamb dishes and highly recommend the lamb korai.will definitely be going back on a regular basis I even travel from Orpington to collect it.

A totally mediocre Indian dining experience. Nothing was actually bad, but if you've had really nice Indian food, you know what flavours it should be capable of. A disappointing dinner for a weekend.

I often order deliveroo from here, it's quickly dispatched to central sevenoaks and has lovely flavours. My favourite is king prawn byriani which has massive prawns and comes with a proper veg curry (raj bari sends some very strange mush of stewed veg with thiers)

Don't often go to Seal but was visiting a shop in Sevenoaks and fancied a meal after. I looked at Trip Advisor for best Indians and found this place and it didn't disappoint. We got there quite early so was a bit empty but by the time we were leaving (still earlyish) the place was filling up with lots of families.

We went for Sunday lunch this weekend and we will be definitely recommend it. Staff very friendly and helpful Food delicious and a complimentary glass of whatever you want at the end of the meal.We will be back

The restaurant was neatly decorated and gave a warm feeling to spend our evening .very polite and attentive staff always ready at your service. We ordered veg momos and aloo. Poori which were upto the mark though the poori was a bit hard to chew. Overall a good experience

My partner and I got a take away from Ganga, we hadn’t used them before but had a menu through the door so decided to give it a go. Service was great, food was delicious and we will definitely be using them again.

Visited here with a few works pals, we had seen the midweek deal on the website which looked great. Greated by a nice chap at the beginning, the other waiter was VERY grumpy the whole evening which was a shame.

One waiter was happy smiling but the other was not, bit grumpy really. We had the buffet specials and the food was fine. A friend had the buffet meet platter but asked for no fish so I think his plate was lacking quite a bit of meat. Shame the fish was not compensated with a little bit more meat. The lamb chop on the plate had practically no meat on the bone at all. Nice restaurant inside.

We tried this restaurant, which has been running for about a year, for the first time, and received a very favourable impression. The service was impeccable - very polite and responding to any need. The food was beautifully cooked, in tasty sauces - we tried chicken korma, lamb bhuna and lamb passanda, and all were excellent. Definitely one to visit again. Parking in Seal is always awkward, but the restaurant does have two spaces just opposite, and we were lucky enough to bag one of these.

My parents came a few weeks ago after I had seen nothing but great reviews on here . So Visited today with my Mum. We had the Sunday set lunch for £10.95 which is great value - starter, main, side, rice or naan each. The food was very nice and I had a lamb dish that I haven’t tried before. The service was really good and the staff were friendly and chatty. As it was so hot today you can imagine it wasn’t very busy. We will defiantly be back and have booked for a special evening that they have organised with local school where all food proceeds go to the school - how generous. I highly recommend and hope to see more people there soon so that it will be in Seal for a longtime to come

Parking is difficult, but parking is permitted on the High Street after 6.30 and there are places in nearby streets. This problem aside, Ganga is an exceptional Indian restaurant; the décor is modern and welcoming. There are lots of nice touches like linen tablecloths and napkins, candles on the tables, and hot towels and choc mints to finish. Above all, the food is delicious, attentively and graciously presented. And there are dishes to suit everyone's taste and prices are reasonable for the quality. They also have a free delivery service. This was our first visit, but we will certainly be back and recommend it to friends.

Used to be Tandoori Nights now under new ownership. Very good food and reasonably priced. The 2 owners are really nice as are the staff. Give it a try

Four of us had a birthday celebration meal and was pleased that Ganga lived up to the many positive reviews. Warm greeting on arrival, prompt polite service, menu mix of fine dining dishes as well as regular favourites. When the food arrived it was perfectly cooked and attractively presented, Poppadoms were fresh as well as the generous size Naan bread. Reasonably priced for such quality and the presentation of a birthday cake for my daughter was unarranged and a lovely touch.

Excellent Indian Restaurant. Our 2nd visit and just as good as the first. Fantastic food all the dishes were great, can't fault it for great service food and value. A gem of a place not to be missed. Nikki

Had a takeaway (Deliveroo) from here tonight and it was excellent. Food arrived hot and fresh in a good time. The mixed tandoori grill was superb! Couldn’t fault anything. Will be back for another takeaway or eat in very soon.

This is a hidden gem. Have been using this restaurant since it opened, and have never been disappointed. The service , presentation and flavours are second to none: I have eaten in many Indian restaurants in the area and this is by far the best. Always made to feel welcome and highly recommend.

Since this Indian restaurant has opened we’ve been here several times and the food is great. The butter chicken is definitely the best we have had in ages. Mane she is a great host. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

We were visiting Sevenoaks after a few years away, we used to go to this Indian when it was Tandoori Nights and it was always good. The new management/owners are even better, the food was delicious, the service was great and the cost was what you would expect for a decent Indian. They make an amazing nan bread, round and fluffy, it was probably the best nan I can remember having. All in all a great meal.

Been here several times now at it just gets better. Great menu, brilliant good and fabulous staff ... So friendly and helpful. Always a memorable and satisfying experience ... Keep it up. 🙂

So it was my mothers 70th Surprise Birthday Party & her actual words were "The best party Ive been to in years'..

We recently ate at Ganga in Seal for my eldest daughter’s birthday. The staff were very welcoming, the food was excellent (a nice mix of more traditional Indian dishes and house specialities) and overall the whole family really enjoyed it. We will certainly eat there again and would happily recommend it.

Very nice food, good friendly service and clean. What more can you ask for. We went for a mid week girls night our and had a real good laugh and good meal, reasonably priced. At the end, the waiter asked us if we wanted anything else. We all responded with, no, we couldn't fit another thing in and could we have the bill. He then responded with, would we like a free liquer to finish off with. Surprisingly we all had room for one more.

A wide range of choice in the menus and our selections were superb in presentation, speed of delivery but the taste - wow - it outstripped so many of its competitors. To top it all, the price was spot on.

With delivery limited in our area, it was great to finally find a lovely Indian takeaway! Lovely food, fast delivery and great service! Will definitely order again!

We tried 2 of the chefs recommend dishes instead of the same old dishes, blown away with the freshness and taste of both dishes, I will definitely try the rest of them soon!!! The staff are lovely and welcoming. Best in 7Oaks.

Was very impressed with this. There were some different dishes on the menu that I haven't seen anywhere else so that definitely sets it apart indeed. They were able to change the dish I wanted because I didn't want it as hot as stipulated on the menu. Staff were accommodating and friendly. Naan bread was lovely and fluffy. Would definitely come back.

First visit undet new owners v impressed. Fresh tasty and different curries. Attentive friendly service. sevenoaks Indian restaurants need competition to up their game and this delivers it.we will go back

Not standard Indian fare. From the grated coconut with the papadums they made it clear they're different to other Indian restaurants. It must be hard following the previous excellent Indian restaurant that was on this site, but they have succeeded admirably. As a local, i hope to be going there for years to come.
