Oaks Spice in Sevenoaks

Delicious food here this evening, I couldn't fault it. My vindaloo was so hot I was dripping with perspiration... just how I like it.

Excellent food. Very tasty and reasonably priced. Friendly service and welcoming staff. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant has never let us down! We have been to many Indian restaurants but this is always number one. The food is fantastic along with amazing service and great prices. Always feel so welcome and cared for!

12 of us royally looked after as ever at this excellent restaurant. I don’t live nearby these days but every time I’m back in Sevenoaks the Oaks Spice is well worth a vindaloo visit!

Obviously popular with the locals as it was rammed therefore zero ambience. Absolutely horrendous level of service and then food served cold. 2 hours wait for a starter !! Bugger that

Ordered a large Indian meal for my local sports club - arrived hot and beautifully cooked and went down a storm with the players

Only able to call to order which is usually fine but the they misunderstood our order (gave us meat dish when we ordered a something vegetarian!) Online ordering just works so much better! Also specifically asked for spicy and neither our curries had any spice… at all! Not a bad curry just really not very authentic :|

Sauce was very good but chicken was flavourless. Poor service generally and waiter didn't like we stand for payment as the bill was taking forever.

Very rude, Customer service. I asked for a specific diet. And the staff member denied to explore more. And I said I will put a nice review, and became angry and took a picture of me. Very impolite customer service. Wouldn’t recommend it at all.

Wonderful Indian food. Fantastic host, extraordinary live singing..not your average Indian!!

The service here is questionable especially for home delivery. They consistently forget parts of the order or deliver late. Just yesterday I cancelled the order after nearly 2 hours of waiting and despite cancelling the order was still charged. Despite them saying they would reimburse. We had already ordered from another restaurant who turned out to offer more at a cheaper price.

Proper tandor cooked paneer tikka and fresh naan breads, both really juicy and delicious- see pics. Will be back!

No corners cut here. First class ingredients cooked deliciously. I have not enjoyed onion bhajis more than I did this visit, beautifully crisp batter with lovely soft centres... thank you all.

I'm writing this due to feeling angry and frustrated with food that I purchased. I ordered Tarka Dall for £5.50 . It was inedible. Not having had it before I assumed it would have the consistency of a dip made from chick peas, instead it was like a cup of sloppy soup that was like dish water. Disgraceful serving food like this. Shan't be ordering from them again.

A nice if unremarkable Indian that’s reasonable value and you’ll leave feeling stuffed! Staff were friendly but not very attentive and we were 1 of 2 parties. It took 15 minutes to get a menu but food came quickly after that. Kingfisher and Cobra are available, poppadoms came with generous quantities of sauces and an extra one. Food was hearty, seriously a main and rice will fill you up - sides were generous too. Nothing was that spicy and perhaps a little too we’ll cooked on the prawn front. Desserts were definitely frozen - so hard it took some work to eat them and one came with the plastic under-tray still in place.

Lacking in flavour. Very bland Real shame. There are not too many Indian restraints open for lunch and we had some family over so ordered a big lunch. I have tried the Raj Bari before but it was just very small portions. The portion sizes here are excellent and the menu is varied. However, all of the countries were lacking any real flavour and we had asked for the curries to be made with chicken Teaka no chicken in it really wasn’t chicken tikka her at all It’s a shame because they have an opportunity here to be great at lunch as the only other option is really expensive. I don’t think I would bother ordering from here again.

Quiet Monday night curry. Food and service was good

Used these guys for years, great food, very friendly service.

Had a take away from here. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Gave us a free beer to takeaway plus free poppadoms with chutney. The food was absolutely delicious. I was full up but didn’t want to stop eating because it was so good. Will definitely be recommending and going here again.

We usually get our takeaways from here and it is always lovely but as it was a special occasion we ate in. It was very quiet as we visited on a Monday evening but the gentleman working was so friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, we will definitely be back! Thank you 🙂

We had been here once before about 2 years ago and had the most amazing meal it was tasty, great value and such friendly service so we decided to go back! They do so never look back well I wish we hadn’t. The starter was fine my chicken tikka was fresh and presented nicely, other half had a Salmon tikka and enjoyed it so good start. Poppadoms tasted fresh and no excessive oils and the dips also seemed fresh but that’s where it ended. The main courses for me I thought tasted a bit odd “garlic chilli chicken” there were possible 2 pieces of chilli smaller than a gnats middle finger and garlic was no existent. The chicken I thought had been reheated as it was tough and again tasted odd! My other half’s chicken shashlik im you had to play find the chicken. The naan breads where ok but the aloo gobi again did not taste overly fresh. The mushroom rice was lovely and I cannot fault it! But sadly I should have listened to my mouth when I though it tasted odd as we have both had food poisoning from this place (I’m just glad we have 2 bathrooms). I get that everyone is feeling the pinch but clearly they are reheating or using old meat because I have cast iron guts and even I’m rough! Such a shame as the first time was amazing. The staff where friendly and polite and did all that could have been asked of them so I struggled to give a 1 but friendly people do not make up for being awake all night

Quality Indian restaurant with excellent value for money and a menu with all the favorites.

Went in with a couple of friends who'd recommended the place. To be fair the vegetarian options on the menu appeared to be extremely limited but upon asking the question about whether they could sort something for me they did and the food was fantastic. All in all a great unrushed dining experience

A fabulous choice for great, freshly cooked and different Indian food. The old favourites are there but so are some choices to broaden the mind.

First and last time ordering from here. Lamb chettinad was an embarrassment. Lamb not even cut into pieces. Big lump of chewy, fatty lamb. Inedible.

Good food,welcoming staff and a reasonable price

We were made to feel extremely welcome. The restaurant has nice comfortable seating nicely spaced . The food was excellent plenty of choice. Good size portions. Especially love the chicken tikka masala . My daughter was pleased with the vegetarian options. It was well presented and very tasty.

Good food and service and a decent price in sevenoaks town.

After a few visits here in the past, this place used to put a smile on our faces- Chirpy waiters and authentic dishes now replaced with warmed up, tough meat, barely separable with a knife and cold rice, colder than the staff, albeit still polite. This used to be the go to Indian after a dreadful experience at the Raj Bari (awful place down the road) but now forced to look for another alternative. Such a shame.

Great service and excellent food.

Have used Oak Spice for over 20 years but can only think it's changed hands. Ordered three different main courses (they forgot to include one main and had to deliver it 20 minutes later). All three dishes had exactly the same sauce with huge chunks of onions and peppers. My Jalfrezi had no chilis, no spices and was bland. Best part of the meal was a Peshawar naan. Feel like asking for my money back. Very disappointed.

Sadly, with everything going on and even offering extra for delivery, they will not deliver to Shoreham Village.

Had a quick takeaway from Oaks Spice last night . Excellent meal , great flavours , generous portions . Recommended .

Been in sevenoaks for many years and only just starting using it after our local Indian restaurant closed. Fabulous food, staff make you very welcome. Best Indian restaurant in the area. Check it out.

To celebrate my sons birthday he asked if we could eat here, no problem. We all had an excellent meal with very good service at an a very good price. Whilst the quality of the takeaways seem variable the this does not apply when eating in.

I have visited this restaurant on a number of times and at different times and days, overall I can say it has been constantly excellent, both service and food, will continue to be a regular diner for the foreseeable future

Very disappointed, food was cold when it arrived and didn't taste at all like the curry I had ordered, sent it back and got a replacement and the exact same happened, when I called the manager he got very defensive and ended up hanging the phone on me

Popped in last night for a great meal. I had the King Prawn Toya (that I have never seen anywhere else) with a few green chillis and my wife had the Chicken Jalfrazi. Both excellent as always, as was the service and all at a great price.

We always have take aways from here, and I must say never fails me, the food taste great, the service is great & the staff are extremely friendly. On different occasions I have also eaten in an absolutely never disappointed great atmosphere for me best curry in Sevenoaks.

I adore going to a very, very fancy restaurant - as long as the spirit is genuine, like it's their pleasure to welcome you.

We have stopped off here every year for last 11 on way home from the Big Game at Twickenham. The last 3 or 4 years has seen an improvement in the food and we all really enjoyed it. The five of us had a variety of dishes - Lamb and Chicken was good quality lean and nicely cooked with good spicing - there was an obvious difference and they didn't all taste similar. The vegetable sides too were nicely cooked - still some bite in the vegetables - the Bombay Aloo was one of the best we have had. I would recommend the Chicken Jalfrezi always a favourire of mine and Jacqui has always enjoyed a very flavoursome Vegetable Biriani. Service was friendly and attentive without being overly so. And value overall is pretty good. definitely will be returning.

Just get the Chicken Tawa. My taste buds are very happy right now. Thank me later 🙂

It is some time since I was in Sevenoaks and decided to call in at the Oaks Spice. It was good to see the same staff who were pleasant and welcoming. The service and food quality were both excellent and by the time we left, the restaurant was almost full - a sign that it is popular with the locals.

The most amazing curry in town. Always spot on.

Not only great food, well prepared and presented but the friendliest and most charming staff you could wish for. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant and they also do telephone ordering for a great takeaway.

Finally managed to persuade my wife to give Oak Spice a try after many failed attempts. Interestingly, my wife who is of an Arab background noticed the music playing in the background was Egyptian. Somewhat unusual for an Indian Restaurant. Anyway on chatting with the very charming owner of the restaurant we learnt that he had spent many years in Qatar with his family and hence his liking for Egyptian music. Dinner was lovely and the food was hot and spicy. Given that it was also very reasonably priced, for Sevenoaks, I am sure that we will return often. A very enjoyable experience.

Good food and good service at good prices

We’ve been searching for really good Indian food in Sevenoaks for sometime now and decided to give Oaks Spice a try. Every dish we’ve had has been absolutely delicious, freshly cooked and authentic. Looking forward to our next visit!

The food is lovely and so far the best one I have had in Sevenoaks. It was spiced well and flavour some. I would have liked mine spicier as it did say on the menu that it was medium. I didn't get that kick but the flavours were good. Next time I will ask for more chillies.

Made an unexpected visit - accommodated for us at short notice, after ‘Raj bari’ down the road gave our table booking away.

My good friend of 71 years decided to treat my wife to a birthday meal , He booked the OAKS that has been an Indian eating house since the 60 , in fact it is probably the oldest in the district and the best . Don't just take my word for it go and try it out .I have eaten curry all over the world and this is one that comes out tops, good clean service

Visited here for dinner with friends. Food was good with some choices outside the standard range. Service was attentive but a bit indifferent. Some of the food was not warm enough when it arrived at the table but it was reheated without any fuss.

The food was amazing, the quality was great and the size was right. Service needs to be addressed as it was quiet but we did not recieve the service we would expect.

Oaks Spice is a lovely little restaurant. The food is fabulous and the staff are very welcoming and extremely helpful

in my opinion the best indian takeaway in Sevenoaks! - good value, and incredibly tasty. Never had a bad one yet. Always received great customer service too, even once when one of the dishes in a large order was missed out - easy mistake to make and they were very accommodative to resolve it for us

Went as a group of 30 and we all got our meal at the same time. Very impressed

We went here in a party of seventeen at 9:15pm. Some tables refilled later on. The restaurant was full but the service did not suffer as a result. The curries were excellent. Very nice friendly atmosphere.

We have been loyal customers of Oakspice over a decade and have got to say that this is a top place for a good curry in Kent. The Chefs at this restaurant are on point with each and every dish. My Prawn Madras and Tarka Dhal is always so good. Fabulous friendly customer service and the highest accolade for their Chefs. You won’t be disappointed.

Excellent restaurant indien, convivial

Have sat in on a number of occasions and always good. Couldn't face cooking tonight so rang for takeaway - have to say no complaints, as good as sitting in and delivered to the minute - best local Indian around, recommended.

A friend and I came to Oaks Spice for an early dinner after work.

We thought we would try a different Indian takeaway from our usual and we wasn't disappointed.

Visited on a Saturday night. Food pretty good and staff friendly. Only problem was the hour long wait for the main course. Oh and I absolutely hate the fact they serve the Coca-Cola from a litre bottle. Its usually flat and warm. Get some proper individual glass bottles like a proper restaurant instead of trying to do things on the cheap!

Absolutely rude! Called to ask if they done delivery as stated open till midnight, only to be told they were closed! I then proceeded to say sorry your website states your open till midnight, only to find the phone had been slammed down! Absolutely disgusted by this and judging by how rude they were, 100% would AVOID this place! You would probably get your dinner dropped in your lap if eating in there!

Had a take away delivered for 3 of us. Very tasty dishes with good portion size. Shaslik chicken was melt in your mouth. Always friendly staff on the phone and delivering.
