Tulsi has always been our favourite restaurant... whether dining in or takeaway we have never been disappointed! We love the atmosphere and the food is superb. We always receive a friendly welcome and often spend 3 or 4 hours in the restaurant enjoying our meal. We sampled the new midweek buffet last night. There's a great choice and very good value. We're looking forward to our Christmas meal at Tulsi, always a great start to the festive holiday! Thank you Tulsi

We came late to Tulsi but they were open and welcoming. All of the food was well prepared and the staff were keen to provide dishes with the right amount of spice. Our main courses were enjoyable and my Chicken Manchoori was nicely cooked and flavoured. Prices were very reasonable.

I recall this restaurant as one of the best a decade ago but on a recent visit I was shocked how bad it is today. How it’s got 4 stars is beyond me. Popadoms soft, cold and stale. Naan bread appeared to have been microwaved from frozen. I tried a lamb dish but couldn’t digest it as was mostly grissle. My friend had a chicken fairly hot curry which had a good sauce but the chicken content was cold and obviously added at the last moment from the fridge. The staff, those that could speak English, were totally indifferent to any comments. Always very sad to see a previously excellent restaurant decline like this.

We have visited Tulsi now for over twenty years, this visit being the first since 2008. We have never really had a bad meal, the food, service and standards we remembered as being OK. The decor does not appear to have changed, it is still dimly lit and the lay out is the same. Some staff have changed, but there are faces I recognised. On this visit however we were not overly impressed. The food appears to have gone down hill, it was nowhere near as good as I remembered it. While it was tasty, reasonably well cooked and seasoned It was nothing special and we have had far better. It could definitely have been hotter, and it looked as if it was waiting before being served. It just did not look appetising. The service was good, the wait time acceptable, we had no issues with the service. The staff were polite, well presented and friendly. It was in our opinion expensive for what we had, being around £66 for two main dishes, one rice, one naan bread, one side dish and two glasses of wine. To be honest I'm unsure if there is a service charge. Sadly this visit has left us with no real desire to go back.

Sauces were probably the best part although not great. Meat of poor quality, weird chutney trays with popadoms. The waiters could barely speak a word of English and they add a 10% service charge automatically. Not against paying for service, in fact if the prices reflected it and the service charge was down to me as a consumer I would have probably paid more overall as I know hospitality is hard right now. Just not a fan of a stealth bill. Would I return though? Sadly the answer is no, I have had much better elsewhere. Maybe my experience was an off day.

Have had 4 takeaways from Tulsi since July 2023. The first one was bland, we thought maybe it was a mishap and as it’s the only Indian Restaurant in Westerham, we tried again. It was no better. A neighbour said that was very unusual and they had enjoyed their meals in Tulsi, so we tried again. The third takeaway was better and we risked a fourth tonight. It was early evening on a Friday and the restaurant was almost empty. We were told to collect the food at 6pm, which we did. The food was luke warm, the Tikka Masala was bland, the mushroom rice was so unpleasant, I actually had to spit it out and the salad had a synthetic flavour. I left nearly all my food. The tandoori chicken starter was very salty and the rest of the takeaway meal was bland, even the minty sauce given with the popadoms was insipid. We’ve never eaten at the restaurant, only had takeaways but we will not darken their doorways again.

I had a very disappointing take away here. Terrible food. Bland and watery, the only spice reminded me of a supermarket curry powder. Overpriced - at over £13 for a poor curry and flavourless rice, and another £6.95 for what tasted like a watered-down lager, (served at least an inch below the pint mark on the glass) while I waited. Sadly even worse with main dishes seeming to be the biggest problem arriving at the table looking as if they had been prepared days previously, meat dry and hard to chew rice overcooked. We've been Tulsi customers for a very long time but, sadly, no more. The prices have been hiked to almost extortion levels compared to other Indian restaurants in the surrounding area. Almost £6 for a vegetable side dish! And the portion sizes are tiny, they would seriously feed one person only. Sorry Tulsi, you have become too greedy for your own good and apart from that, you keep missing things out of the order which is an annoying nuisance when we get home to find something we have paid for is not there. We have visited twice recently and having been to other "Indian" restaurants elsewhere I can say the food at Tulsi is better than most. We had a chicken puri to start , it had a little heat but the flavour of differing spices could be tasted. Mains were Chicken Bhopali which was excellent and Methi Ghost, lamb succulent, the dish full of taste without being hot. Garlic Nan was good too. Another pleasant surprise was the house wine a good Bordeaux for £4:50 a glass, great value. After AGES our food order was taken. Again a long the restaurant was not at all busy. We watched people come in after us long time after, part of our food arrived. The manager took our orders. A mild dish was very spicy. Dansak was, who knows what. Chicken dish was invisible until asked for & other meal also awful. Food was cold. Service disgraceful even though & leave long before. We complained about the food & were given money off our bill. On leaving we had to ask for the change as it never made it back to us. The manager made an extreme gesture of forgetfulness hmmmm. Not been here for years for the same reasons but thought we would try again. Never ever again. Being ignored for most of the night, being served cold awful food & not receiving money back made a birthday night a regretful night. We use this restaurant when we fancy a night out or a take-away. The atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant, the staff are attentive and effiicient and we've never had a bad meal there. Traditional Indian food, well cooked and tasty.

The restaurant is nicely decorated. I chose a chicken dish but when the waiter brought my rice to the table I saw him pick something out of it. I questioned it so he replaced it. I also found a hair in my meal. My partner's meal was perfect, unfortunately mine wasnt. Such a shame.

We visited here for a buffet lunch which turned out to be very expensive due to the overpriced drinks and added service charge. Pint of cobra £5.75 and Cappuccino £3.70!

Good proper Indian restaurant with dishes not always seen on other menus. Mid price. Only criticism is the waiter standing on duty nearby who made us feel uncomfortable - should stand more discretely somewhere else.

My wife and I really looked forward to our night out and were able to get a table on Saturday night. The welcome was very good and warm . The staff were helpful with our choices and the food came out quickly. The whole experience just felt average sadly compared to our previous visits many years ago. The food seemed to lack something. I could not describe our visit as amazing but it was ok. The bill for two seemed high . I will be going back to see if it gets better.

I stopped going to Tulsi 18 months ago because they often got orders wrong and the food was overpriced and very average.

First timer. Service was excellent. Fairly decent atmosphere. Menu is decent. Some of the food was good, but some of the curries were strangely quite bland. Good parking and conveniently located near the station.

Delicious food here this evening, I couldn't fault it. My vindaloo was so hot I was dripping with perspiration... just how I like it.

I’m in love with this place. The food is amazing. Best curry in Sevenoaks. I rarely sit in but order a takeaway and it’s fantastic. Highly recommend.

I wish there was more to it than this thick gravy.. and like 3 or 4 pieces of chicken. We barely ever order from the Indian though it’s tasty but it cost and not worth the money I paid. Sorry I won’t come again.
