One of the best curries I have had for a long time. We had the tapas so tried a variety. Good value too, my new favourite place.

A great discovery for this Indian restaurant

Wow, what an excellent restaurant you have in stony Stratford, the interior design is superb, love the paintings on the walls, and as for the food,10/10, and service was prompt and attentive and always with a smile. From the first taste of the poppadoms and chutney tray, I knew it would be good, but when I tasted the kitchen special , Bengal chilli fusion, I was blown away at how subtle yet spicy hot the chef had created this dish, it was so good I must go back and try it again to make sure it wasn’t a fluke, haha. Asked for extra garlic on my naan, got it, and could see and taste the freshest garlic that I crave to use in my cooking. I write this review, seriously impressed with Kassia, I see they have a sister restaurant not 30 miles from where I live, and will be taking my girlfriend for this Bengal chilli dish, as she adores spicy bhuna type dishes, I hope she enjoys as much as I did.

Had a fun filled night at Disco Bingo. Service was excellent and Charlie who looked after us was great. Will definitely come again.

Vegetaruan tapas buffet was brilliant

went for a meal and a girl called Jaz served us and was rude she said she was new but is no excuse for how she spoke. Everyone else was lovely

Very modern decor nice ambiance. Given choices from main menu or £25 or £35 banquet menu. Went for £35 per head banquet. Tapas style starters which were tasty then varied dishes with rice and mixture of naan bread. Food was good. Worth trying.

Phenomenal food and service. We chose the £25 a head best bits option. As you can see, there was a good amount of food and choice. I couldn't pick one dish as they all tasted amazing. Would highly recommend, the staff were attentive and polite.

Three of us had tapas and every dish was delicious! Service was impeccable even though it was really busy! Loved the funky decor and you didn't feel you were crammed in. Can't wait to go back!

The service, the lady who we speak to on the phone when we order , the service from the restaurant staff , and the food is just amazing. (And we are fussy eaters !) We live not far from them 4.5 miles away, and they always deliver to us as we are just outside the postcode, but literally down the road, so not far at all. If you have not tried food from here, you are truly missing out. Credit where credit is due. People always post about bad stuff but not a lot about the good . Thank you, Kassia, as always . :)

Lovely food, great place to spend an evening

Visited for the first time on NYE. We had booked an early evening meal. There was a great choice on the menu all reasonably priced. The food was delicious. Lovely decor, great ambiance and the staff, all be it new I was told were very helpful and friendly. We look forward to defiantly returning again.

Visited Kassia with my work colleagues for our Christmas dinner. The food was delicious and so were the cocktails, I had a passion fruit martini and was top. It is a busy restaurant bar on a Friday night but I assume because of the cocktails. I would definitely visit again with my family.

This was our first visit, and we were impressed. The venue has been beautifully refitted, and gives off a really luxurious vibe with soft lighting, rich colours, and fab artwork. With 5 in our group, we had a rich mix of food preference. We chose a selection of 10 tapas dishes, one normal main, rice and naans. Ordering was so easy - a pre printed list lets you record what dishes you wanted. We then simply handed this to our server. Our food was excellent, and was brought on a large hotplate. All dishes were finished off. The servers were helpful, and gave you space to enjoy your food. Only niggles were small things like giving us 10 poppadums when we only asked for 5, and then billing us for 10, or not clearing away empty poppadum plates/chutneys before bringing mains (table not big enough for all). We will certainly visit again. So many more tapas dishes to try.

We had a great evening at Kassia this week, the food was lovely..a great concept for catching up socially with friends. The have a great range of fusion cocktails. Would recommend and will be returning.

An Indian with a twist! Wasn’t sure what to expect when we walked in but was pleasantly surprised. Food was very tasty and good quality. Very reasonably priced too. The staff were really friendly also. We will be back!

Called in on the off chance. Wanted somewhere to eat the old fashioned way and did not book. Lovely clean place. Ordered three different curry dishes for the three of us. All of us was delighted. Excellent service. If we are ever in the area again will definitely call in again.

We had a lovely anniversary meal. The service was very good and the food was excellent. We sat in one of the booths which was lovely. Love the colours/decor in the restaurant and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely return.

This is the second time I have visited Kassia. I used to live in Stony and moved to the USA. I crave a good curry every time I come back. The tapaz style menu is ideal to try everything, and introduce people to new things. Yesterday was another amazing meal. Thank you.

Buzzy atmosphere on a Friday night, the food was excellent and the wine list and beer choice is great, with an Indian IPA being available and a good match for spice. Friendly welcoming team in there, would absolutely go back for more.

Amazing meal at Kassia on Friday. We had the Banquet and it was incredible. So much food!! We loved trying all the different dishes and all the different flavours. We will be back!!

Ate here last week and was disgusted by the way the manager was treating his staff. He was very rude and aggressive. He was on his phone the whole time only looking up to order his staff about. Other than that the staff were lovely and very helpful. This was surprising given the clearly toxic environment. Hoping management will hop on this issue

Food was excellent as usual, this has become our go to local Indian restaurant.. Service was great, but we are always looked after well as we go for lunch, and it's not normally busy, but don't let this worry you it's a little gem!

Fine Indian restaurant Ideal for a good old friends and colleagues meet up.

Firstly, the food ordering system was really weird, you write down how many of each you want aside each dish. Secondly, the prices didn’t justify the value of each dish. Thirdly and finally, there was a strange £1 voluntary donation which was placed on the receipt which we asked to take off which was really weird. Seems odd to put that on even if it’s only just £1.

The food was actually pretty banging, my only issues with eating here was that when you are seated, you aren't told that you need to fill in a form to be able to order your food so my friend and I were just sat for a while waiting to be served, they are good at making sure you glass isn't empty though and I will definitely be going back, hopefully they can earn that extra star and will get you all some pictures. It does go on a sharer style kinda service so individual bowls for each item you order

Great food, friendly service all wrapped up with a Tapas Indian dining, really enjoyable. It was a quiet Weds night but it's a calm place to be.

A different experience to the normal Indian restaurant . Tapas style dishes about 20 to choose from and 1 dish is plenty for 2 people so doesn't work out too expensive. Service was a bit iffy the 1st waitress was a bit heavy handed and didn't really know what the menu was about when asked but a mgr came over and explained it. Would definitely go back as the food was lovely

Pashwari Naan to die for!!! Food was good with the exception of chilli cheese toast. The service... was great from one waiter, however from someone who seemed to be more senior.... well he was going through the motions rather than sincere. To be asked if all was OK and then walking off before even an answer was given. Shame as it let the whole visit down.

After our second visit this is me and the mrs favourite Indian restaurant. The food is impeccable and the service is outstanding.

Really happy we discovered this place. It's a vibrant restaurant with a great menu and great service. A little quiet when we went but I imagine it's busy on weekends. It would be great if the music also had an Indian twist for added ambience but I'd definitely return!

We had a meal here with friends on 14th Feb, food was so flavourful & good sized portions, we opted for a selection of tapas with additional rice & Nan, all served with a smile & nothing was too much trouble for the staff, highly recommend & we will definitely be back very soon.

The service was bizarre at best, chaotic at worst. We reserved a table online and when we arrived one of the staff went to seat us when the manager interrupted and asked if we had booked a table, he wasn’t very polite about this and it made us feel like we had done something wrong. I asked the manager if an item in the menu was vegan and he didn’t really know what I was asking and said that something was but it wasn’t. Our drinks and food were ordered and arrived pretty quickly. The food was good and the portions weren’t bad. The restaurant had gotten full at this point and there were people waiting at the bar. Within moments of finishing our meal the manager came over and asked us to have our drinks at the bar because he needed the table. There was no apology, we weren’t asked nicely we were essentially just told to leave. It was really abrupt and again made us all feel uncomfortable. We had to ask for the bill twice regardless of the fact that we had essentially been asked to leave. When it arrived it was wrong by £45 and when I pointed it out the manager just took it. He brought it back and it was wrong again and then when it had finally been fixed he miss charged us on the card machine. The whole experience was really bizarre, the manager did not seem to know what he was doing at all and there was an outrageous number of staff who seemed lost.

Great food and attentive service. Love the fact you can have little tapas dishes giving you the opportunity to try other things with family / friends. Portion sizes just about right.

The restaurant looked clean, food was slightly above average for taste, Portion size was very small, by this I mean the protein, there were 6 bits of diced chicken in each dish, and after eating my chicken Rogan Josh, I was left unsatisfied, The amount of sauce that the chicken was hiding in was good and the flavour was ok. We had to order our food via filling out a paper slip which I found very odd indeed, this really took away the interaction part of talking to the waiter face to face, I had an allergy request which I would of liked an immediate discussion with a waiter about allergen order and options not a discussion 10 minutes after submitting my request for food. I feel that this method makes ordering food very clinical and takes away the feel of eating out, Moreover, the chance for the waiter to earn a tip. The manager or owner was succinct and to the point when he spoke, in my opinion, he had the personality of a brick, this was a shame as I felt I could not talk to about my issues and that he probably wouldn't care, furthermore, when the manager/owner approached us about our allergy request again he was very matter of fact, I would of expected a bit more of a warmer and welcoming conversation as I have had In 99% of restaurants I take my family to. Overall the ambiance was not there, my table was wobbly ( this was fixed after using a bit of folded up paper ) music was loud, lights were very bright which gave it the feel of a waiting room, food was ok, however, slightly more protein in each dish would of made the price pretty fair. In conclusion, I won't be back in a hurry, if at all. I'm not a hard person to please, I feel that if I am paying 'top dollar' (which I have no issue with) for food and service I would expect that in return, no matter what night I choose to eat at a restaurant.

We went for a large family meal, and WE FEEL LIKE WE'VE BEEN COMPLETELY RIPPED OFF with average food, cheap ingredients and a minimal amount of food for what we paid per head (£25). I added a photo of the platter we received to share among 4 people, the few more popular dishes had to be cut in half to share equally between the table. The children had mushy cheap nuggets and fries at £8. I personally had barely any food because of allergies and being a vegetarian (which we were told ahead of time I would be accommodated for) there wasn't many of the dishes I was able to eat. We felt like we had been completely taken advantage of and they over charge for everything and use the most budget of ingredients. We didn't even have a chicken tikka masala it was made of new potatoes and mushrooms. 🤷🏼‍♀️ If you want a takeaway tub they charge you for them. Positives being the service was good and they were nice and the cocktails were good.

A little different than the usual Indian restaurant with modern decor and a choice of tapas dishes. Really pleasant evening and we’ll-priced.

First outing to Kassia for a family birthday meal and it was brilliant! First impression when you walk in is really nice LED lighting and dropped ceilings which got me going from the start 😂, then as you move further into the restaurant a lovely wooden wall with the logo and some more LEDs 👌🏻. The ordering style is a bit odd in the fact you write what you want on an order sheet to choose from a variety of Indian tapas dishes if that's your preferred or more traditional Indian mains. Massive menu to cater for many, vegan options, and all arrived on a nice sharing board which sits across the table. It made the meal a great sharing social, opportunity to try lots of things, and the staff were really friendly and attentive to make sure you had drinks or anything you need. Love the non chain restaurants popping up in stony and this one will be one we return to! Thanks Kassia.

We came as two families and was not disappointed. Good selection of food and drinks and service was fantastic. The children liked the non alcoholic cocktails too! Only thing we would change would be not to order as much as we expected tapas like Spanish size and they are actually full size so we had so much food left over which we took home ! Nice little place would return

Amazing food. Lots of vegan options. I had vegan tapas and although it was Indian food it was very unusual and unique. I took a doggy bag home because it was too good to waste and it tasted just as good the next day. The only issue we had was the length of time we had to wait at some points but it was extremely busy so they can be forgiven. We will definitely be back. It's definitely my favourite Indian restaurant ever

i've been a couple of times now and have been meaning to post for a while, we went for dinner, the place has a great ambience, 80's soul classics in the background, well laid out place with circular boots on one side which is great, the food offers an option of Tapas or regular curries, you can mix and match, everything is excellent, the Sweet Potato Dal is the best thing on the menu in my opinion, absolutely superb, but to be fair nothing i have had has been anything but brilliant, a lot of different dishes too. The way the tapas is presented on a hotplate is also different but really adds to the sharing experience, a good selection of beers and spirits too. The meal was £275 for 7 of us but we had plenty of drinks, pudding and coffee as well as papadams etc, i genuinely can't fault the food, the waiter we had was a little forgetful but a quick reminder proved all that was needed to get things sorted. there are no doubts from me that this is the best place for a curry in the MK area (and i've tried them all) will be back plenty more over the coming months, just to make sure i can try all the different stuff on the menu. Totally transformed from the decades old previous restaurant and in a good way. Absolutely delicious dhansak, my go to dish to calibrate the eating experience. Friendly staff and they played Aerosmith (on a top playlist), so what is not to like? The Vaults ale followed by Indian meal is now a solid evening option again. Now if you could just be persuaded to phase in Bangla Beer !

Visited on a sat night. Brilliant atmosphere. Place was full. Waitresses and waiters working very very hard. Hope they receive the praise they deserve after their shift. We went for 5 dishes from the tapas menu. Liked how when it said it would be hot it was hot. Between the two of us this was plenty. Felt so full!! Had some lovely cocktails to swill it all down with. Had all meat tapas. All cooked perfectly and delicious. Will be back. Hope to see this place get busier throughout the week.

Really really bad food very racist and found hairs and fingernails in my food and it is really really dirty really bad staff very very important the staff is really really horrible and plates and spoons all stained all around a really bad restaurant

The atmosphere was decent but the food was less than average. The portions are tiny and looked like they used the same sauces for different dishes.The waitresses were good but I thought the owner was rude.

Today was our second visit and definitly wont be our last. I am the kind of person that cannot eat too much food in one sitting so the idea of indian tapas is perfect. You can have 5 tapas for £29. and there is a great range of dishes to choose from. Something for every one. The first time we went, we added extra tapas dishes. There is no need to to this. The 5 dishes could easily feed 3 people. They all get served on a hot plate to your table so you can just graze away. Lovely cocktails to be had. Service was second to none. We found out on our first visit we found out that today's "waiter" was actually the owner but he was reverent and treated us so well. Very humble, which I like. Nothing too much trouble. Music was good. Abience was great. Not sure if we lucked out because we visited on a Saturday lunchtime. Might be different if an evening but for us it was bang on. This is my first review for a long time now but it is deserved.

OK, but none of the dishes are worth going back for. Tapas is 5 for £29.95 but the deal doesn't always work out cheaper than ordering individual dishes. They also add a charitable donation to the bill. Nice cocktails and cool setting for a date though.

The food is amazing the service is also very good . It's Indian food with a difference , they offer a tapas menu so you can try a lot of different dishes that you may never have tried before and of course a normal menu. Ps but you can't always be sat next to descent people which we had last time we went . 😂🤓

The staff were friendly, service was quick. The food was very good. I'll look forward to my next visit! Some of the dishes were on a tray. It would have been better if they were on plates as it was hard to reach them! Having £1 on the bill for charity was very strange, I have never seen that before. I would prefer it to not be there. The men's urinal is in an 'exposed' position - right next to the door... The door should be hinged on the other side and/or a privacy screen should be added!

Food is ok, about average. Portions are tiny so eat before you go. Cocktails are decent and the atmosphere is generally good. Gents loos are a weird layout.

We visited on a quiet Tuesday night. The decor is bright and original and very inviting. On arriving the gentleman we assumed was the maitre d' greeted us and then showed us to a table and left us with menus. It took a while before...

Very nice food and good service.

Very disappointed as highly recommended. Food was average and warm not hot. Had to return one item as tasted off. Staff were friendly but not very attentive. Evening was ruined by a large group of women being overly loud and constantly swearing, we couldnt have a conversation without shouting at each other. I wish the management would have controlled that better, as not once were they asked to stop swearing and keep it down. Sadly we will not recommend.

Food is was so tasty on our visit this weekend for my Birthday. It was cool experience Indian as a tapas rather than just 1 dish and rice. Our waiter was really nice and talked us through the menu while ordering. We will be returning again :)

Do like this restaurant, been a couple of times. The staff are friendly and food is really tasty. I only give 3 stars because, after ordering the banquet (there were 6 of us) we received our starters of poppadoms. The person who brought it to us had made a mistake and brought too many and then proceeded to take some back, touching/handling them and counting out what we should have while we were getting stuck in. I just thought that was quite off putting and rude. I think personally, they should have just taken it on the chin and let us have then. Also, the restaurant floor was quite slippery, I nearly went over a couple of times and one of our party did slip and fall 😬 .

After a previous dining experience here we thought we would come back, with a friend, due to having such a beautiful meal. To get our appetites goings we ordered 3 poppadoms, to which the manager barked at one of the members of staff, 'charge 6 poppadoms to this table!' The lovely waitress came to explain how the menu worked and how to order using the cards on the table. Despite having this system of ordering, they still came and asked what we wanted, which seemed a bit pointless. Having ordered starters and mains, everything came out at exactly the same time, which we didn't mind, but again we weren't listened to. Out of the 3 mains, one was stone cold when it came out, so one of the waiters was told, and he said, 'ok I'll go and tell the chef.' So I waited, and waited and waited, by which time the other 2 people had finished eating. Another lovely waitress came over and asked if everything was ok and again I repeated that my dish was cold, someone had been informed, and yet no replacement dish had been sent. She did ask if I wanted the meal to be replaced, but because everyone else had finished I politely declined, and she said she would inform the manager. When the bill came, we were still charged for 6 poppadoms, despite only having 4, and the cold meal had been taken off. The card machine was brought over by the manager and proceeded to overcharge me for the food we hadn't actually had. I told him that the bill was wrong, to which he said that he'd taken the cost of the cold meal off, but he was still trying to take money for food we hadn't had. In the end he reduced the bill to take account of the poppadoms we hadn't ordered and arrogantly walked away saying, 'thank you very much we'll see you again' - no apology for the bad experience or for the mistakes that had been made - he just didn't seem to care. Would I come back after the experience? No. Will I tell friends and family about the bad experience? Yes. The manager here only seems to be bothered about maximising the money he takes and doesn't care about the whole dining experience. The way in which he treats his staff isn't good and I feel sorry for how hard they work for very little recognition - he also treats diners in exactly the same way. Everything else about this restaurant is so unbelievably good and the choice and quality is amazing. They need to rethink the running of this place as it could be a potential downfall. Others have posted the same about the 'over-bearing' attitude of one of the staff and temperature of the food, so this is not a one-off.

Yummy, would definitely come again.
