Good food. Reasonable price. Lovely area for boutique shopping.

Very disappointed. We have been visiting The Four Pillars for years having excellent food. During our last visit we collected our usual Saturday night takeaway and actually I can only describe it as unpleasant. The starter were supplied with a tiny bag of strong onions and one tiny pot of raita sauce no mixed salad as usual with a pot of sauce each. The chicken balti was tasteless, hardly any spices & if not for the name on the lid w would not have recognised as one of our weekly dishes. The chicken was sliced in small pieces with reddish tinge, not chunks also. The garlic rice and chicken bhuna were also very bland. I contacted The Four Pillars twice by contact form as the phone was busy but no reply or response. This is the part that has most annoyed me. A regular customer giving feedback, asking if the chef has changed and stating i was not asking for anything apart from giving & expecting feedback. Not sure if this is a one off but be prepared you could be disappointed.

We had a really enjoyable meal for two here. Everything from poppadoms, through to starter, main and drinks were good. The beers were served cold, the service was good and friendly. Crisp and fresh poppadoms, very enjoyable starters (prawn purée and onion bhajis) and tasty mains!

My husband and I visited this restaurant with my family recently. My dad had told us how nice it was on several occasions so when we visited my parents in October we booked a table. My husband and I travel for work and as we are big Indian food fans we have tried many Indian restaurants all over the country and had some delicious food. Ive never written a review before this is my first. The food was so good it deserved one. I’ve never had Indian food as good as this one the food was second to none. Wished we lived closer. The staff were also brilliant. Next time we are down from Doncaster we will definitely be returning.

My family and I had an amazing time at the Four Pillars in Olney this weekend! We went to celebrate my mum’s birthday and the waiters had decorated the table and provided a cake without even being asked! As for the food and service it was exceptional as always. Definitely recommend!!

Recommending for large parties. If there's one thing they excel at here is catering for large parties. Food superb. Service fantastic.

Had a Father’s Day afternoon lunch and the experience was fantastic, the service was very good and the food excellent. My wife had a Shahi thali and they had no problem changing a couple of dishes to suit her tastes. The food dishes were big enough to suit the hungriest of pallets and priced to suit the tightest wallets. We will definitely be back soon D & S

We moved to olney in 2017 and have honestly never been to another Indian Restaurant since! The Food is fresh and cooked with passion, the staff have as much quality as the food and we have built a great friendship. Not only do we make four Pillars a regular meal due to the team and excellent food but as a passionate cook they tick every box, we asked for a dish not on the menu and it was delivered with peferection! We now order this every time! Over seven years Four Pillars have brought us from a regular set take away to advising us on the most amazing dishes! Thank you! Compliments should always go to the Chef, but also the team and the owners! I don't review much but this is well overdue!

Excellent service and food at a fair price,

Atmosphere ok however without checking the bill they overcharged me conveniently by 25%. Pointed this out pretended to put a refund through now it’s 4 days later and nothing and they ignore me. I never have had to do this but I will contact my bank and request a chargeback. Do not go here!

First class Authentic Indian food. What is so refreshing about this restaurant, is that it offers more than the standard menu. There were dishes on this menu that I have never tried before, and it was simply taste tastic. I had given up on finding a truly unique and authentic Indian restaurant. I live in Wales and I will be popping back and the four pillars will form part of my journey Highly recommended

Incredibly after over 40 years in Milton Keynes I visited this place for only the first time last night . I am pleased to tell everyone it was incredibly good both the food and the quality of the service . The price was reasonable too and I want to thank both the Owner and the Staff for a wonderful experience . I rate the Four Pillars as being the best Indian Restaurant in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas and I have eaten in all of them . Why it took me so long to visit I can’t explain but I won’t be going anywhere else in future it’s that good .

Visited this restaurant for the first time, with another couple. We had driven from Northampton as we had heard good things about this restaurant. Food: We ordered a mixed starter platter for 4, which was absolutely gorgeous. I would definitely order this as a main dish, as I really did enjoy it. For main, I ordered chicken tikka masala and my husband had the biryani. Sadly, we did not find the main course as delicious as the starter. My masala was nice enough, but not as good as the Masala I’ve enjoyed at other restaurants. It was more tomatoey than creamy I found. My husband said he really didn’t enjoy his biryani. but that was more a poor choice on his side as he normally has a ‘wetter’ spicier dish. Atmosphere: The restaurant was quite empty when we arrived, but soon became very full. It’s obviously a very popular eatery. However, we found with people chatting, nothing more, the noise volume really was uncomfortably loud, it was difficult to hear our friends speaking. This obviously can’t be helped, but could put me off in the future. Service: During our visit, we found the staff pleasant and quite attentive. Summary: I would have rated this restaurant 3.5 if I could have done because of the delicious starter and the service. We will try this restaurant again, at perhaps at a less busy time!

I just wanted to thank the team at the four pillars. We ate here last night for my mums birthday. The food was absolutely delicious but what really made the evening was the wonderful waiters. They had decorated the table and even surprised my mum with a birthday cake. They where all so friendly attentive and really went the extra mile. Thank you for making my mums birthday meal so special

Dropped in without a booking and shown to a table without a hitch. Usual nice friendly welcome from all the staff and as is normal, efficiency is the watchword for service. We forewent the usual papadom (we know portions are good) and went straight for the Onion Bhajiis. (2 bhajiis with salad & dressing) For main, I had Murgh Makon - chicken breast fried in butter, creamy sauce flavoured with almonds & coconut. My wife had Murgh Roshan-E-Mushroom - spicy chicken cooked in garlic sauce with chopped garlic & Mushroom. Finished the evening off with a plain and a liqueur coffee. A really enjoyable meal made possible thanks to the quality of food, service from the staff and the skill of the chefs & kitchen staff.

This place is so nice, we got discount too which made the experience so much better!! Really recommend also the naan is so nice especially the garlic naan!

The food was good but oh dear takeaways take priority, and hour waiting to order and then still needed a further prompt to get the food. This is the second time it’s has happened vowed not to go again but relented, definitely will not be going again.

The food is always so good, full of flavour, great presentation and decent portions. The service is also great.

A Saturday night out and ended up here a large restaurant with nice decor and friendly staff, a very good selection of food and drinks on offer with a few little gems on the side dishes , well presented tasty food would recommend

Walk in on a very busy night saw us quickly taken to a 4 place table which was being split for us. Despite being so busy (apparently a large party had descended on them earlier) service was, very good. Attentive staff, minimum delays and the normal high quality food. We both had starters of Onion bhajis (2 per serving). Deliciously crisp with small salad and a gorgeous mint dip. Main courses were chicken Makon and a chicken Curry. Both were well cooked, presented and very tasty. Probably one of our favourite to go to restaurants and once again confirmed by this 'on the spur of the moment' visits.

We were told 50 minutes for a take away and 2 hours later after my husband waited for an hour in the restaurant we had to walk away. Absolute shocking service

We went here after watching at santa pod raceway. Not expecting much. The place is very clean, the staff are very friendly. The exciting is the food, we order the set meal for four and some starter, peshwari Nan, and papadom. It’s very good, the staff even gave me yogurt to cool down some spice. After that very good and heavy meal he even pointed us to walk around the place - near the river. Very good food and nature trip

What a find! Just on way through from holiday and decided to have some dinner. The food was absolutely delicious! We had the chicken jalfrezi which was one of the best I’ve ever had. Fantastic customer service too! We need a restaurant like this in Rushden! We shall be returning!

Walked passed this restaurant many times but made our first visit on the way to theatre in Milton Keynes. Highly recommended. Food was superb, service friendly, nice ambience. Marked down just a little as the service was a bit slow, it was Mothers Day so maybe that was the reason, but other than that it was excellent. Visited with wife and friends, we all had something different and we all commented how good the food was. Will definitely return.

Only visited for takeaway food so far but the staff are always friendly, when getting delivered food the driver is very courteous and always wait to check we have heard the dknock at the door. The food is absolutely fantastic and we have never had a bad word to say about the quality, amount, or flavour. On our list to go for a sit down meal as the restaurant looks lovely and cosy with a calm and quiet atmosphere.

One of the best Indians I've ever had. First time ordering online, got 20% off the mains. Was advised 40mins for collection. Got there on time (not early, not late). I live a 3min drive down the road and it was already cold when I got back. I think it had been made a lot earlier than the text advised but there was no further updat provided. Had they've text again to say it was ready (or close to being ready), living so close I would've popped down to get it sooner. Instead, I think it was just sat there for a while. The food was still great and I'd definitely order again. But maybe I'll ignore the time and get there 10mins before. I know how popular this place is and standing around waiting isn't really an option as its always busy, last night was no exception. The restaurant was packed. I've eaten in here many times before and had a fantastic experience everytime. The first time ordering online was okay. The staff are always friendly and obliging whether your eating in or juat collecting, I cant fault them!

I have used this restaurant for many years and loved it, but last nights meal was the worst I have ever had there. The nans were burnt, the main dish was tasteless, the chicken tasted bitter, the service was poor even though it was nearly empty and the general atmosphere was bad. I wont be using this place again for a long long time, until new management has taken over and a new chef!
