Craft & Skewers - Newport Pagnell in Milton Keynes

The food is excellent! The staff are really friendly and attentive. The music is always really good too. They have a good selection of drinks. I personally love a blue moon! The cocktails are awesome, made and served perfectly. One of my favourite places to go 😊

Excellent food with really good portion sizes. On previous occasions this place had a great atmosphere, however this time (Sat evening) it was full of loads of loud people shouting all the time. Hopefully it's a one off.

Fabulous place. Atmosphere great, staff very attentive and lovely to interact with. I have not been to this place before but it was recommended for a meet up with friends. Food was amazing and so will definitely be going back again. Thank you so much. 😊

Five stars across the board! Recommended by various friends and didn't disappoint 👍 Food was inventive curry and VERY tasty. Atmosphere was properly rocking (don't expect a quiet romantic dinner!) although it did quiten down (almost too much) towards the end of the evening.

Have been 3 times to this place twice with my husband both the times very disappointed Order Ragda patties and grill They brought it together and was cold should have sent it back but did not want to fuss Won’t be going back again it was bank holiday Monday and staff more keen to serve drinks

This is my go-to Indian restaurant in MK. Food, service and drinks are outstanding. There truly isn't any food that comes close. Definitely recommend the mixed grill and butter chicken, however I'm sure all of their menu items are just as good 😍

Very loud, attentive staff, food really poor I had to send back lamb chop so tough I couldn't cut though it , to be fair they brought me another one but it wasn't much better, but the chef had cut it up for me !! ;) the whole meal was salty, the onion bhaji looked great but was dry..poperdoms were OK but I have had better ! All in all we had been recommended this place but my experience definitely wasn't great. I usually go to moza in Newport pagnell, ( really far better food there)but thought we would try somewhere else for my partners birthday. Unfortunately we won't be going back to the craft & skewer👎

Very nice dishes. Good and tasty food.

The food is really delicious but watch these guys like a hawk. They quite frequently put part measures or no alcohol at all into cocktails, charge for 4 poppadoms and bring 2, charge for more expensive spirits than you actually get….lots of little things going on all the time to increase their margins. If you pull them up on it, they play dumb and pretend that it was a hilarious mistake. The owner pretended to me that it was because of the new menu. When I pointed out how tatty and dog eared the menu was he told me it was new in September. When I pointed out that 4 months old is not new, he corrected the dishonest behaviour and compensated. I bet a lot of people don’t notice though and they successfully steal £5-6 on a lot of bills. Enjoy the food, check your bill. Very shady and dishonest.

Usually I can't recommend this place enough and indeed have been many times as a family or as a large group. However, on my last visit my food (Lamb Bhuna) was cold and tasteless. When I complained they took what was left in the dish and heated it up so I have some sauce that was hot but still lacking taste to the point I did not want to eat the dish. My family had Chicket Tikka which was also very dry. Overall very disappointing. To make matters worse, despite complaining and then leaving most of my dinner they still tried to charge me the full price. I doubt we will be returing soon, such a shame.

Definitely my favourite Indian restaurant in Newport Pagnell. They have the best food with plenty of vegetarian options. The staff are friendly and always give you plenty of time to choose from the menu

I loved the ambience of the place but vegetarian food is very average and they don't serve the authentic dishes, it's a version with some alien ingredients!! Bhelpuri and Ragda patice was tasty but it was nowhere near to how the traditional dish is made or presented. Main course was OK, could have done with a bit more of spices.

Went for a family meal on Boxing Day, fabulous food, and really good service considering there was 13 in our party.

I went to this restaurant and ate in starter chicken wings, paneer chili, and chicken dhaba style with garlic naan for main course. Food quality and testing are excellent, and the staff is supportive, polite, and helpful. I look forward to going back.

Good food and nice pub atmosphere

Very nice curry, slightly more gastro than your normal curry house, everything looked like it was freshly made, including the Bhaji and samosa. I’m teetotal but the selection of craft beers looked good, and the people I was with seemed to enjoy them.

Here is another review from the Newton Leys curry club (NLCC) a very good curry house, if we are being ultra critical the sauces for the poppadoms needs to have bigger bowels and you need lime pickle and onion salad, if you are going to have the onion bhaji you get 3, they are lovely but you don’t need that many, the meal was great can’t complain, the team are great and the meal came out hot, watch out for the chicken jalfreizi it was spicey one.😇😇 Well done Kraft and Skewer a solid 4 out of 5

Came in for a family lunch, food took a little while which is maybe unsurprising as we we were in just after opening, however food was utterly fantastic and full of spice and flavour. Will be back!

Was told about this place by some friends and we visited yesterday. Food is incredible, we ordered a Lamb and chicken main dish and it was amongst the best I’ve ever tasted. A great find will definitely be back

Brilliant food and nice atmosphere. Our drinks orders took a while to come out and although there's a decent selection of beers it's fairly limited as far as 'craft' beer goes. Overall though a great experience and I'll be going again!

Well ! Very rarely I review restaurants these days. But this one amazed me for continuously third time and hence the review. Do this - Order sizzlers , the masala fries and May be okra fry or something in starters. Don’t forget to add mock tails or cocktail’s. And main course some nice butter naans plus don’t think veg curries will be anything less than the chicken or lamb ones.

The noise level made it hard to hear each other. The service was ok, and the food I would say was average. Shame as it has great potential, but wouldn't rush back in a hurry. I paid £3 to add a prawn to my main dish, I asked if it was a Tiger Prawn due to the price and the waitress said yes, I was presented with the worlds smallest prawn, it was a joke. Needless to say we did complain to our waiter/owner and they apologised that we weren't told exactly how big the prawn was!

Loud TV's showing football at both ends of the pub with additional loudspeakers also playing music was the icing on the cake resulting in us cancelling our reservation and opting for a takeaway which unfortunately also proved to be a disappointment, hence 2/5 review.

We have been there quite a few times. Service was always nice. The boss is very pleasant and always there to say hello. In terms of their food, we loved their fresh naan bread. As a fish lover, I liked fish curry. Just wish there were a few more pieces of fish in it, as I can always eat more fish. lol. Quantity for meat dishes seems always better. The green Tikka chicken tandoori could be a bit dry and looks remarkably like avocados. Chicken wings were juicy.

A friend took us and we had a really good time. Good selection of food, mostly spicy, but very tasty for us spice-lovers. If you're not into spicy, the spinach paneer was excellent and mild.

I’ve been to Craft & Skewers a few times, the wait for food has been a bit of a problem but the quality and quantity of food has made me go back. I went with my daughter for a meal for my birthday and despite it being busy, we didn’t wait long for our food on this occasion. As always, the food was fantastic!!!

Very good food go there every week Onion bahjis are monster delicious good portions and dahl is tasty as hell. Mango chutney is banging too

Sat inside the restaurant and placed a drink and food order. The interior was clean and tidy (no sticky tables, etc.). Food portions are great. The food was very good and wasn't swimming in oil. Friendly staff and good service Definitely plan to return in the future. There is outdoor seating that is both popular and lively. If I could change anything, I would make the entrance from the outdoor seating area to the bar only accessible through one door. People enter and exit the bar through several sets of doors via the seating sections, and at busy times, they end up brushing by you carrying drinks while you sit and try to eat.

Good food and service,BUT the TV and music running together was much toooooo loud. Turn it down a bit

If you have an intolerance/allergy, don't bother, unless of course you are vegan or happy to have tofu dishes. After even calling ahead and being told I can have some meat curries with coconut cream to make it mild!!! I turn up for a family meal and that was all false information, from a entire menu I could have onion bhajis. Whilst my family enjoyed their full blown meals, I was incredibly disappointed that as a restaurant they didn't cater for allergens. No allergen menu on the website, you have to call the restaurant to discuss but I wasn't told I could only have vegan dishes or nothing at all.

Food is outstanding. Very warm welcome. Avoids a lot of indian restaurant cliches and is really popular for birthday groups and families just eating out together.

just had an excellent lunch At the Newport Pagnell branch. The beer was a very good selection and the food was excellent. the only small criticism was that the onion Bagees could have been a little spicer, but overall super lunch. Will go again.

Been a few times now and booked to go again. Limited menu but to be honest I prefer that. Fresh food! Great atmosphere as it has a bar and open plan. I remember playing pool in the Newport arms and we’ve had Italian and now curry houses. I’d recommend it but don’t tell everyone as it has limited tables!

They staff are brilliant and welcoming, they squeezed us in on a busy Sat night without a booking. Good and beer is top notch. Huge starters and fantastic mains. Our second visit here both trips were awesome.

Looked up the menu on the web page and decided what we wanted and went in to the restaurant and ordered two curries and a rice which on the website was £21.30. I picked up my meal and paid … didn’t check the price… and left, driving 7 miles back home. I asked for a new takeaway menu and they said they don’t supply them and the prices are online. When I got home I was shocked as the two curries had next to nothing in them ( pumped up with oil see picture). Wasn’t happy at all. Then my wife told me they had over charged me. So I drove back and said I want my money back as there was next to nothing in the curry trays and they had overcharged me as it should have been £21.30 and they had charged £24.20. They said it is different prices if you come to order than what is on the website. So it seems they charge what they want and do not serve full size portions. I will not be back.

Had a take away of wings, chips and a keema naan. Decent portion size. Chips were amazing. Looked nice inside and will defo book for a sit down. Nice range of beer available. Hostess was friendly

Popped in for lunch after being here several times for supper. Great food/drink/service. Think of this place as a chilled bar with an indian bar menu rather than a full restaurant. Highly recommend

Best Indian in town with an English pub tint!

Pub on the high street offering authentic Indian food. A real hidden gem. We had a mixed tandoori starter, chilli chicken, hot chicken curry, peshwari rice and garlic Naan. The food was lovely and plentiful. Lovely big naan breads. Pub had just opened so was a little cold but would highly recommend. I imagine it’s great at night.

Great place to eat or just for drinks, good selection of beers including tasty craft beers and good quality home made cocktails on offer. The food never disappoints and staff always offer excellent service and are always friendly. Highly recommend!

7 of us had booked online for our visit. I had rung in the afternoon to ask if I could leave some table presents ahead of our visit, and staff were super accommodating and had set them all out prior to our arrival. They even asked if there was anything in the presents that needed to be kept cold etc so they knew where to store them All presents were perfectly laid out perfectly for our arrival so the group were all really suprised. The food, cocktails, service were all truly excellent and the staff very great. It was really busy. All tables were full which is obviously a good sign of how popular it is. Good vegetarian range aswell. Would definitely recommend ( but prebook on a Friday night!)

Food is really good quality. Ambience is nice and worth visit for dinner at this place. Tandoori Chicken tikka, Avacado Papdi Chaat, Tandoori Momos are must try.

I will start with saying the staff where friendly and nann bread was good but I had little bits of foil in my cocktail, the green dip tasted sour and off, we ordered mild to medium dishes and food was so hot it was inedible. Overall not very impressed.

Driving home up the M1 our junction was closed and traffic was diverted off at J14, hungry and thirsty we decided to drop in If you are looking for Exceptional Food and A great fusion of East meets West, then you’ve found it… Tandoori King Prawns are absolutely magic and highly recommend.

Went inside to collect an order as a deliveroo driver first thing I noticed was the awful smell of old alcohol and curry which had somehow become interwoven into the fabrics of the building, very off-putting. Second thing is the polarity of the service I got from the bartender, as soon as he noticed I was a deliveroo driver he changed his attitude to friendly and polite to rude and arrogant as if I was a bane to his existence even though I'm delivering their food for them. It seems this is the case with most South Indians they think they can bring their caste system into the UK well we ain't having it. Won't be doing anymore of their deliveries and certainly won't be going their to eat!

Probably the best Indian based food in the area; fresh flavours and nicely cooked. The bar with a selection of drinks also gives it a different format from the usual.

Very excited when they opened and they’ve never disappointed - the only reason for 4 stars is purely because we ordered the butter chicken for my daughter as a takeaway treat expecting it to be mild as we usually would from other restaurants. It was anything but mild!! Poor girl had to have Turkey dinosaurs instead 🤦🏻‍♀️

Can’t begin to tell you how disappointed I am. Booked a table for 4 people at 7:30pm Thursday 4/8 and waited over 20 mins for a drink and over an hour for a food order. Walked out (paying “bar bill”) and went for a curry at Patley. Much better service and food great. Will NEVER return to craft and skewer
