The Grange in Milton Keynes

I had such a great dining experience, the food was amazing and reasonably priced, the service was outstanding and I particularly liked that the tables are well spaced out and not crammed in to get extra covers, at times it felt like me and my partner had the restaurant to ourselves even though it was packed, staff were attentive without being overbearing and we never waited for anything, the owner is very friendly and made us feel welcome, you can really feel that it is a family run restaurant as the atmosphere is so relaxed. I rarely leave reviews but I honestly had the best dining experience I can remember so would've been rude not to, If you like Indian cuisine get yourself down to the grange... you won't be disappointed

5 stars all round! I've been here a fair few times and it's always a brilliant evening! Warm, welcoming with excellent service. The food is always spot on, cooked to perfection and you are never kept waiting. My most recent visit was 8th Jan 2025, I went with my partner (his first time there), we went on a banquet night which is great value for money and again it was an excellent evening which we were made to feel very welcome. All in all a lovely dining experience and will definitely return time and time again! Emma 😊

We decided to come here for my son’s 18th!!As we are regulars for take away, we already love it but this time we was a big group and couldn’t fault the service and food was amazing.

Food is always good and delivery is timely. I ordered a take away tonight & they forgot the poppadoms but kindly delivered them a short while after I got in contact. I found their customer service to be very good & the food was nice.

If youre an Indian, don’t even consider this place. The food is dull and tasteless. It took an hour for getting the starters served even when there wasn’t much crowd when we had went. The mains came after 1:30 hour and that too some order was missing. Had to remind them about that. The food caused us stomachaches and we couldn’t finish it.

Ordered food at 5.20 for 7.00 pick up.arrived at restaurant at 7.00 and paid..waited until at least another dozen people had arrived and received their takeaway for 40 minutes. Finally asked manager where was my meal as I had given them over 1.5 hours to sort.got given takeaway which was not warm and certainly didn't taste anything like I expected. Extremely disappointed and won't bother again.

2nd time I've been . This is by far the best I've had , service and food 2nd to none , can't help you enough, will be back.nice mind

Went here for Christmas dinner. The food was excellent, and the service was superb. I absolutely recommend The Grange for any special occasion. Truly a 5 star experience.

We ordered from The Grange Indian for our staff Christmas party and the whole experience was amazing! The food was delivered fresh, hot and absolutely delicious. Catering for 15 of us is no small task but they absolutely nailed it. We’ll definitely order from the Grange again, 5 stars all the way!

We went as a very large group on Sunday and had incredible food and fantastic service. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the portions are very generous. This is also a favourite for my family, it’s fabulous every time! Chicken Chat Puri, Saag Aloo, Chicken Zafrani, Chana Masala and Tandoori Salmon are some of our favourite dishes. The owner and his team always look after you and want you to enjoy and return again and again.

Went with 6 other ladies on a Tuesday evening. Food arrived all together and we didn't have to wait long. I had the lamb which was ok but there were a few tough pieces. My friend had the salmon but said she could not taste the spices just the salmon. Restaurant clean and staff friendly.

We ate in here with our friends as this is their local Indian restaurant. Our first impressions were great, greeted by friendly staff, which came over quickly to take the drinks order. Throughout the meal, staff were always around, should we need them. The food was very tasty with lots of flavour. Very happy with our first visit here, definitely recommend.

Wow, what an experience. From the moment you walk through the door you are treated like royalty. Syed and his team are incredibly we felt fully pampered. The food was just as incredibly, spicy, flavourful and glorious. I live nearly two hundred miles away will be returning. I can not recommend this restaurant highly enough. Tony

This is our 3rd visit and each time has been an evening made wonderful by the team from The Grange.

Absolutely not your bog-standard Indian! To be honest I just ordered butter chicken which was very good, but I was incredibly jealous of my friends who had ordered the vegetable and meat thalis. I immediately knew they had made the better choice just by the smell - a glorious mix of spice and barbecue aroma. My "friends" then proceeded to gently tease me by pointing out how succulent the large pieces of chicken were and demonstrating how easily the lamb came off the bone. I was nearly crying into my butter chicken. It wasn't all perfect though. Because we were a party of about 18, this seemed to cause a problem with getting the rice and naans etc. out at the same time as the mains. I suspect if you go in more manageable numbers, this won't be a problem. Our party was about 25% Indian by the way, visiting from Mumbai and Chennai for three months. They told me that this place is one of the few in MK that is anywhere near authentic. It's a shame it's all the way out in Grange Farm.

I had the Banquet meal (average onion bhaji’s), a v good lamb korai, lovely peshwari nan and rice. My only gripe was a v poor vegetable madras side dish that lacked vegetables & the sauce was sweet! Nice staff & ambience.

A very enjoyable evening at the Sunday Banquet night. Nice ambience with soft background music. Snow white laundered tablecloths and napkins. Very clean. Modern in design with abstract wall art. A beautiful flower decoration. The only negative thing was that I felt a bit cold when the door opened as people came in and out. My first visit. The owner, Syed was very welcoming. The food was plentiful and tasty. I had chicken jalfazi which had lovely fresh green chillies in. Ended up taking a doggy bag home. Would recommend the place and the food. 5 out of 5

Great experience had for a birthday meal. Owner was exceptional, as was the food! Catered to our tastes and for kids too. Will be returning soon.

Well, my favourite Indian! My local Indian which I visit a lot, with family! Celebrations! I just tried to book a table for this evening…. It’s not a problem to be busy and not have a table for 2! The problem is the rudeness I’ve just experienced down the phone! To be told “you just need to walk in, but don’t think we have a table” “Oh, so you don’t have a table for 2?” “NO” ( the rudeness and tone 😳) Seriously…. Didn’t offer another time or so sorry we are really busy! So my son then calls, gets offered a table for 7.30pm…. Then he speaks to someone and rudely says, actually no! No tables and hangs up! Shame really, nice place and food…. But I won’t be going here again, just PURE RUDE!!!!

Now living in Devon I have to rely on my Wife's visits to MK to see family members in order to pick me up my favourite dish being Butter chicken, Coconut rice and Peshwari naan! My Wife and daughter visited the Grange on Thursday and had a wonderful meal with the friendly staff providing the usual excellent service. The manager then arranged his outstanding staff to pack up my meal for her return. A massive thank you to the manager as once again the meal was delicious! My next visit to MK will have a visit to the Grange on the top of my agenda and I will certainly be looking forward to it!

Food: Ordered a takeaway for the whole family. Incorrect naan bread supplied. Incorrect food items supplied. Quite disappointed since every time I eat in the restaurant it is too notch food and service. This is the 3rd time I've ordered takeaway and the order has been wrong and bland tomato sauce food. No spice. No variety just lots of tomato sauce varieties with a splash of meat. Service: Although polite, had the severe checked my order. He may have spotted the missing garlic and chilli naan or the wrong curry boxes. Also the boxes were not marked up so had no idea what was what. This is not a reflection of eating in the restaurant which is totally different experience Only leaving a review since this seems to be a re occuring issue when ordered a takeaway

Really good traditional Indian, owner is really nice and even suggested a dish for a fussy 7 year old that he loved. We will be back

We been here a few times now for sitting in meals. Nothing to fault and food always been good. Look forward to going back in future.

The tikka masala is dry chicken swimming in a sauce that's so sickly sweet you can't stomach more than two bites

Drove from London to MK and fancied Indian food. We went to The Grange and were so impressed. The place was classy and clean, the staff were beyond friendly and the food was excellent. Dined here as a small family group last night. The restaurant was very clean and the decor was very pleasant. More to the point - we all had different starters ands mains all of which were tasty and generous in size. The staff were friendly and efficient. Would go there again.

This is the best Indian restaurant I’ve been to in a while - the food was so delicious and the staff are so friendly and helpful! They adjusted the menu to fit my dietary requirements without hesitation and provided a free desert and balloon, and sung Happy Birthday to my sister without any prompting whatsoever. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back! :)

Have eaten at the Grange a number of times, and tonight didn’t disappoint. We were a table of 12 and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were lovely. The food was amazing and great value for money. Overall, we all had a lovely evening and I would definitely recommend the Grange!

Had an amazing meal with family, the service was great and the recommendations for the prawn dish was out of this world. The food arrived quickly and was very hot in temperature and was very tasty. Would totally recommend The Grange.

A wonderful meal for my mother in laws birthday. Fabulous food with friendly warm service. Everything was delicious. They checked with one of our party who is vegan so that she could enjoy the food too.

Had a family birthday here it was amazing staff were so friendly and helpful it was beautiful food all served up for 10 people with no problems absolutely a fantastic evening 😀

Hands down the best indian restaurant in MK. The food is impeccable, the staff are lovely (especially the owner) and the vibes are immaculate. We go at least twice a month for a take-away and as many banquet nights as possible. Overall, an amazing place with amazing food and amazing people!

Really nice restaurant and nice friendly staff. I was there with 7 others and we had a very good evening. It was a little quiet for a Friday evening, but we were able to take our time with our meal and were able to spend three hours there talking and eating. The food was OK although a little expensive £35 per head.

Order was missing a main, and they did fix it by redoing the whole order (not just the missing dish), which I have to give them credit for. Unfortunately, order was not very hot

We ordered a curry from The Grange like we have done several times before and I have got To say it was the worst curry I have ever had It was watery , bland and I felt Like the chicken had been washed in water and added to My biryani. The vegetable curry to go with it was bland lacking any flavour what so Ever. Such a shame that also it was so late in being delivered , I accept your busy but all you have to Do it let your customers know that timings of arrival and not leave me sitting here like a sitting duck Really gutted as like this restaurant but this is twice now I have been let down but food and service

We have just finished eating our meal and if someone had blind folded me I would not have known I was eating a curry meal. The Lamb Tawa gosth was tasteless and bland with an overpowering tomato sauce, no garlic, coriander or ginger had been near the cooking of the sauce. The garlic mushrooms were swimming in butter but not garlic and the sag bhajee contained watery spinach with no other seasoning. Having returned home with the food I had to microwave as the plastic containers do not hold the heat. We have eaten at The Grange several times with family and friends and have always enjoyed the food and experience, it’s a shame that this will be the last time

Went to the grange for my birthday, was a lot of people (25) the grange were so welcoming and accommodating for all of us. Our food all came out at the same time even though we all had separate tabs. The food was amazing and very delicious and full of flavour. The staff were very friendly. Thank you so much for my birthday meal had the best time.

Excellent menu with plenty of choice. All the staff were very friendly and efficient. Good was served in good time considering how busy they were, and beautifully cooked. Price wasn't the cheapest but in my opinion you get what you pay for. All round, what's not to like.

Outstanding service and great food

Tonight’s meal has to be one of the best curries I’ve ever eaten ! This view echo’s through my family. Chicken was tender and juicy. Sauce very flavoursome and the Naan was fresh! I’m already looking forward to our next meal!! Thank you for the awesome food!

A lovely meal, very fresh food that was delicious with very attentive and friendly staff. As we were new to this place, we were kindly offered complimentary food - lamb samosa, extra poppadoms, garlic naan and a fresh portion of rice to take back home with our leftovers. They were happy to answer any questions we had about the menu and they even offered to adjust the spice level in my boyfriend's dish, which he said they cooked perfectly! We will be coming back again for another visit!

Fantastic food and service as always from the grange. Collected a takeaway on a very, very busy Saturday night. It’s great to see the grange having the success they deserve as all tables were full with people waiting for tables and many others waiting for takeaways. Checked the order when I got back to the car and unfortunately a mushroom rice had been forgotten, went back in and it was provided very quickly with poppadoms and dips thrown in as an apology. I take the view that it’s not about the mistake but how you rectify it and I can’t fault them for their handling of this! They also have an extensive range of vegetarian options. The staff are always really friendly and make you feel like they know you. Best Indian restaurant in Milton Keynes!

We visited for date night last night and cannot fault this restaurant. The staff are so friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious and great value for money. We will definitely be visiting again :)

100% we didn’t have to wait long for a table, as we didn’t book, we do not live in Milton Keynes and didn’t know the area very polite and friendly staff, very clean and good portions , cannot fault this restaurant Would definitely recommend this restaurant, if I am in MK again, I would go again .. and again

Each dish had barely any protein and had a layer of water and oil on top, this includes the tarka dhal, chains massala and chicken tikka massala, the biryani was completely tasteless with dry rice, most of the dishes had very little smell or flavour, the worst dish was the prawn puri - the puri was thick soggy and undercooked. The estimated time for delivery was 80 minutes so in that regard on-time. Not to our taste at all we won’t be eating here again but maybe for people with less adventurous

Item missing and Items damaged

I thought I would give this wonderful Indian restaurant a try as I was visiting the area. The service was excellent and the food was plentiful and nicely presented. The staff were helpful and the Manager went out of his way to ensure we had a pleasurable evening. Will certainly visit again.

I have been fortunate to travel the world extensively and i have tasted top cuisine but at the Grange the world came to me .. little did I know that locally to where I stayed the most fabulous food atmosphere service and hospitality awaited and with the most human face of Sayed .. a force of nature

A real find. Stunning, freshly cooked food, excellent and attentive service that goes over and above. We live 15 minutes away and have two Indian restaurants in our village, but make the journey here because it's so good. The Grange and its exceptional staff deserve the reputation they've built.

We have been here numerous times and like the friendly, busy vibe. The portions are decent however the food is fairly sweet and very mild and not aimed at asian customers. The veg samosas were nicely spiced and the chicken karahi that my son in law had were highlights. Good nan breads, but the sag paneer side dish was poor. Very good service by attentive staff. On the expensive side for MK but just worth it for the ambience alone.

Disappointed.. really should have had tea and a biscuit in my hotel room more satisfying Food arrived cold bland where's the seasoning/chilli as requested twice?think they really don't care on takeaway customers called the restaurant within 1min of placing online order (with written requests) not a big request add chillie have keema dry temp hot and he actually read out my request aloud on the phone and said no problem at all. WELL .. Guess what he lied!!! The paneer shashlik had 1 green pepper and a very slimy tomato quality is sad down overpriced for starters sides Will not waste time money here again. Lesson learnt RUDE RUSHED ON PHON

I ordered from the grange on deliveroo and when my order arrived an hour later one of my items were missing and the other three were incorrect. I gave them a call and they apologised and said they would send a whole new order to me asap. It never arrived!! I had to contact deliveroo directly just for a refund. Not very happy

Highly recommend Service was 10/10 and the food was absolutely amazing, really enjoyed it. I would definitely be coming back
