Bollywood Junction in Milton Keynes

This is our go-to Indian restaurant. Despite the presence of two large parties, the service remained excellent, and the food was superb. I highly recommend trying the Veg Manchurian. The naan and tandoori Roti is always soft, and the mains (Butter Chicken and Chicken jalfrezi) are delicious. We ended our meal with Paan - that was refreshing

We had a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner at this restaurant! Despite being fully booked, the staff made sure we felt special from the moment we arrived. The service was exceptional, and the food was absolutely delicious. To top it off, they surprised us with complimentary drinks and chocolates, which made the evening even more memorable. The ambiance was perfect for the occasion, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. We truly appreciate the warm hospitality and can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommended!

We've been to bollywood junction numerous times and the food and service has always been good. We went last night (valentines) and it was an absolute shambles, we arrived at 6pm with only a few other tables occupied,ordered starters, my wife's came out on its own,mine followed 10 mins after. We then waited over an hour for the mains only to have the waiter come and ask us what our mains were as the "system" for taking orders was playing up! At last our main dishes arrived without any rice and by the time it did eventually arrive the mains were cold,they agreed to re cook our order as we told them to take it away and we wanted the bill for our starters! Overall we were in the restuarant well over two hours,service was shocking waiting forever for drinks we ordered and they had the cheek to try and add a service charge! The poor couple behind us had their order taken three times, if the system wasn't working why not use a pen and paper. Usually great food and service but very poor last night

I had booked the table for 10 people 3 days in advance for the valentine day dinner at 7:30 pm. We reached at 7:20 pm waiting till 7:40 to get the table which they somehow managed to join individual tables but still it wasn’t comfortable for 10 people. Once we seated there for 15 minutes (around 8 pm) someone from the restaurant offered to move to the other side saying that will be more comfortable but again there was no one to join the tables , so we ourselves did it. After waiting for 15 minutes when no one came to take our drinks/starter order, two of us went to the bar counter saying nobody has yet come to take the order for drinks/starters, then someone came to take the drinks order . So, after waiting for another 15 minutes or so (around 8:30 pm) , someone took drinks order but there was no drinks served until about 8:45 pm. So even after prior reserved table booking and reaching there on time (7:20), we got the drinks At around 8:45 pm ( more than an hour later) ☹️..It was pathetic management at the bar, kitchen , clearing tables etc..and it’s not just our table, there were others also with same issue of waiting too long..while were waiting for the drinks, even though we had asked them to take the orders for the starters , no one came, so one of us wrote down the list of dishes (for starters and mains) on the napkin paper and handed over at 8:30 pm to one their staff and we got starters served at around 9:15 ..So we reached restaurant at 7:20 pm got drinks at 8:45 pm, starters to eat at 9:15 pm (almost 2 hours to get the starters). As we were hungry and it was so late, we expected that they will serve starters and mains at the same time but after so many reminders , when they did not serve the main food until 10:10 pm, we stood up to pay for the starters and all 10 of us wanted to leave the restaurant, then they brought a trolly with our main course dishes..So it took them 3 hours to bring the main dishes and so by the time we finished it was almost 10:45 pm. So, more than 3 hours since we arrived..so, while we were waiting for our food (starters/main course), we saw so many takeaway collections..So in my view, they did not plan for the day to cater to both (takeaway orders and onsite service)..Moreover, there was just one bar tender and his counter was full of unwashed glasses..I must say that most of the staff looked nervous and confused..The staff bringing drinks/food did not know what was the name of dishes they were bringing 🙁..If they had managed it properly, in almost 3.5 hrs , they could have served another 10 people on the same table where we were seated because we would have left the restaurant in about 2 hrs maximum if they had served on time… While I appreciate they gave 25% discount on the bill and food was also ok but as someone mentioned in the review that it’s not always money.. I would not recommend this restaurant for special occasions or day..

The restaurant should answer what has happened yesterday during valentines evening. Every one has literally waited for more than 3-4hrs for food. Its a week day literally kids and adults were tired by that time. We have been there by 8.00pm and got the food on our table at 10.20pm, I don't need to explain how and why. They have to apologise to each and every customer who left without food for spoiling their lovely night. Many people left cos they brought children with them, and couldn't wait for even more longer than they already has. Shame on the total thing. This is not only about the cost and the food it's about spoiling their lovely time and I haven't been alone with my husband for more than a year now and got a chance to spend some quality time and have dinner peacefully that really din't happen. The restaurant should call all the customers and apologise personally for wasting their precious time. Worst experience I ever had.

Amazing Restaurant, Extremely quick and Friendly staff specially Mr. Rahul he is a great person and provided with great recommendations. He made this dinner extra special for us with perfect authentic Indian food, I really enjoyed there and will definitely visit again.

massively let down by service. we booked a table for 19:30 and our sever treated us like we were a walk in taking us to a table in the corner shut in by a baby in a high chair and was really awkward about letting us have a different table. both servers were stand offish and very cold, complete let down as the food is amazing.

Good size portions, good quality and v tasty but the 2 main dishes we ordered were Very spicy and the menu didn't give spice ratings. we would try again but go for something we knew wasn't hot

A Fantastic Dining Experience at Bollywood Junction! Had an absolutely wonderful time at Bollywood Junction today! The food was incredibly delicious, bursting with flavour in every bite. The presentation was 10/10, and the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the generous portions. We tried their Thalis, Amritsari Machi, Samosa Chaat, and Pani Puri, Chicken Manchurian —each dish was an absolute delight! The Lemon Berry Mojito was incredibly refreshing and the perfect complement to the meal. A special mention to Ajay, who was exceptionally kind and helpful—his warm and friendly service made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic, flavourful, and well-presented Indian cuisine! Will definitely be coming back!

The service was very very bad..we was 5 people.. Before we start ordering we asked for some water..and the waiter didn’t bring that.. After 25 mins we asked agian waiter was arguing with me that he will bring when he will get time..

Thats my second time visiting on bollywood junction for dinner with my family. The food was okay!! But the staffs over there are so rude, thats make me feel like they are serving us free. We asked for a water for 4-5 times and it cames almost an hour later. Not even only this the staff started to arguing with my wife about on that. Very disappointed on that staff. Lastly we said to the manager as well but don’t think they gonna take any actions. ( seeing managers face ignorable), never going to that place anymore.

What a gem of a find! Only in MK for one night and found Bollywood Junction on Google search. I would come to MK again just to visit. A fantatsic authentic restaurant with excellent food.

Tandoori mixed grill, bread basket, dhaal, lamb samosas and plain rice was satisfying and delicious for this cold night!

We were surprised to find out that 10% of bills as service charges was added after payment, without any notification! 2 adults + 1 kid, no feeling of being served. we was pointed to a table, and after we sit, waiter asked us to move to next table and said 9 people booked the first table and other tables. However, the table was given to a couple when we were still there. The group of 9 never appeared. We were not given a plate after we were moved to second table, don’t understand how your “service fee” contribute to? I’ve read through other reviews, clearly, people were charged service charges before without consent. So, you are still do the same thing, without improving any. By only apologising to some reviews but still doing it is really … Definitely won’t come back. Won’t recommended it to anyone I knew!

samosa chaat was terrible taste! even the smell. I don't know what those samosas are made of but they need checking. the menu says keema matter and description says peas - why did i get a keema and lamb dish that TASTED AWFUL! Meat smelt off. and tasted even worse. and when i compliained via justeat no refund was offered. only thing nice was the chicken 65 and chicken tikka. this is my 3rd bad experience. and last time I order

Yummy Manchurian and daal makhani...kadai paneer was ok ok....will definitely try other Indian cuisine...totally recommend....

Went last year was ok but they kept gegting order wrong for a large group.of 16 of us. Booked again last night, no answer on phone it just kept ringing . We booked online and the restaraunt cancelled via email at 2:00am about 6 hours later. No idea if they've closed down or are just even worse than last year.. I'd choose elsewhere

Bitterly disappointed in our visit here. Came recommended and from the moment I walked in and got no eye contact and had to hover waiting for attention I should have known this was going to be a disaster. Took half an hour just to get poppadoms. Then another half hour to get any drinks. Then another 20 mins to take our order for food. We went straight to mains and had them 2 hours after taking our seats. The food quality was fine, decent portions and tasty but while everyone else in the place - including those coming in to collect take-aways - seem to get attention we got zero. We were then told they were in a hurry to close at 10.30 when we were just trying to relax over the coffees...bit of a cheek given the circumstances. About £35 a head for a drink and mains and the nibbles. EDIT: Appreciate the response from manager/owner but not sufficiently confident to try again.

I ordered from here last night and chicken tikka was pink, watery and very undercooked. I realised in the evening where I could not stop vomiting last night. This with diarrhea made a bad combination. This place is disgusting I also suspect they do not change the meat knives for salad knives as my partner got sick and she only had salad. I complained but they did not want to know. I am NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN. IT IS NOT WORTH THE RISK I HOPE MK COUNCIL HYGIENE INSPECTS THIS PLACE URGENTLY

Bollywood Junction used to be my favourite Indian restaurant and I still believe that the food they serve is fabulous. But recently in my last two visits, the service was poor. First time I thought it’s a one off incident but after second incident I would like to share my experience- So I went with my family to Bollywood Junction for dinner . We reached there around 9:30 . I believe it’s late and that’s why we phoned and asked for the time and availability ( they said 10:30 is the closing time) . During the starters we asked for serving spoons, which never arrived. For the main course, they didn’t provide dinner plates as they usually do . Upon asking for the dinner plate the serving staff said that ‘ We don’t give dinner plates after 10 pm and I am the only staff ‘ ( Well, it wasn’t 10 pm then and even at 10 pm , if you let customer come and have dinner , the staff should be atleast providing plates ) . We were 6 people and 4 of us had our dinner in our messy starter plates . Spoons were never arrived , We got water to drink only when we requested. . I still believe it was a bad day and they will continue to be one of the good Indian restaurants in MK.

Came here for New Year’s Eve. Food is amazing, every single food item we ordered was very absolutely delicious. Service staff was very attentive and worked really hard to satisfy the crowd - although they are very short staffed. The reason I have given it a four star is, I came here for a family dinner not for a nightclub atmosphere. The extremely loud music made the whole experience very difficult to enjoy. Unable to talk to each other without literally screaming. The service staff did put the volume down initially, but for some reason it went back up. Literally as loud as a night club!!! Unbearable! Such shame, a good restaurant with amazing food… they need to work on their music sound level!

I am a huge fan of Bollywood junction I always recommend these guys to anyone. I ordered the biriyani last night and to be honest it was not great. One standard Chinese plastic container of biriyani had 10 cardamom?!! Surely that’s far too many for that size of biriyani?! It was quite dry in my opinion for biriyani and it came with a strange yoghurt/mayonnaise dip that I couldn’t quite recognise.

This restaurant has aways been good to me and definitely recommend to try out.

Pooped in for Thali for lunch, We ordered the veg and meat one. Great dhal with both, and freshly cooked breads. Good portions which filled us up nicely. Along with the dhal came a veg and a paneer curry for the veggie, lamb and chicken for the meat thali. Both also with fresh curd, and a little gulab jamon for afters. Lovely service and presentation, loses a star as the chicken curry was barely warm

The Pani puris came without the potato filling on the side. The baigan bhajia does not taste good at all

The service and food was average. I think for the price the food could be miles better. It took about 50 minutes to bring out 3 dishes and it wasn't overly hot (temperature wise). Needs improvement as the decor and everything is great.

Closet you can get to authentic Indian and Indo-Chinese flavours … say no more and I'm going to let the pictures speak for themselves… seekh kebab, chowmein, kadhi pakora, daal makhani, biryani and the list goes on 😋 🤤

Great portions & well spiced but a creamy chicken madras? There was enough food for 2 people however my well spiced madras sauce was far too creamy. The nan could have been a bit fluffier/thicker. V good staff, nice ambience.

I wouldn't recommend going to this place as the quality and service has been below average. Firstly about food. We ordered Malaidar Kofta and Kadhai Paneer, both the curries had taste of turmeric floating. They don't serve Bowls even for disabled people. I will not recommend the Restaurant to anyone. Just 1 star from my side.

A korma should be mild, but this was really spicy. The rice was nice, as was the chicken, but the sauce definitely wasn't a korma! And the delivery man ignored my instructions to walk down the corridor ahead of him so I could meet him halfway. Instead, he dumped my order on a table in reception and walked out. Plus it was at least half an hour early. But hey, I'm only the paying customer!

Polite and helpful staff. Food came promptly, however wasn’t hot rather lukewarm. Tasted mediocre and is certainly over priced.

Nice venue but disappointing and underwhelming. I was sat near the door as I was alone, great, subject to all the delivery drivers who walked in and out. I ordered a Nimbu Pani at £3.45 but got back a warm glass of lime cordial, sugar syrup and 2 scraps of ice. I asked them for a fresh nimbu pani but I got the same type of drink back with lemon juice squeezed in. I ordered Pani puri to start, but I got dahi puri back. When I asked about it I was told I had ordered the wrong dish rather than creating a solution. Chicken biryani was ordered for the main meal, truly tasted like fried pilau rice with peppercorns, cloves and cardomom thrown in layerd with chicken legs with blobs of onion chutney. Sad really, a huge miss on a potentially delicious dish. I felt under appreciated as a solo guest and really let down with the food. I won’t be returning nor recommending.

A regular customer. Ordered on 19/10 at 5.03. Called them at 6.10 - on its way. Called them at 6.20 -on its way. Called them at 6.30 - on its way. No apology. Delivered at 6.40. Awful service. Food is good but customer service is lacking.

Found this place for proper Indian food. I must say it was as close as the food you get in Delhi. The taste and everything was pretty close. We had ordered Butter Chicken, Biryani, drinks, and some starters and I was really satisfied with the taste. The prices are decent here and there is plenty of variety as well. The staff is courteous and the service is quite quick as well. The atmosphere is quite lively here with mostly Bollywood songs playing in the background.

Great place! Very accommodating as we were a walk in customer on a very busy and packed Saturday. The food was top notch, great variety. Definitely recommend the chilli chicken, bollywood mix grill, tadkaa daal (food for different table, but we were glad it came to our table because it was yummy) and the mango lassi. There was a hiccup with the food order but they were excellent in fixing the mistake. Overall, lovely staff and great place to fill your belly! Definitely coming here again.

My partner & I visited Bollywood Junction on September 17th & the food was delicious as always. We had Masala Fish, Methi Murg + Roti which we highly recommend. Rahul met us at the door with his warm smile & served us throughout. It’s one of our favourite places to go in MK & we’ll definitely return. The number of Indian & Bengali families who also dine there tells you how good it is.

Delicious food as always was enjoyed, with delivery bang on time. Perfect choice while thunderstorms have been non stop!

Food was delicious, service, pretty poor, felt overlooked and had to ask for our welcome drink, as it hadn’t arrived before our starter… which was 45 mins wait… Such a shame, but won’t rush back .

Third time eating here, and this is definitely not an 'average' curry house. This is an Indian restaurant, serving some genuine gems. In particular I've been working my way through the "streetfood" appetisers, which are beautifully presented, tasty, and will be new to people who only frequent ordinary places. Another good indicator of authenticity was my peshwari naan, which was freshly cooked and looked properly homemade - and was quite unlike something you'd pickup from a local supermarket and reheat. Definitely not the cheapest restaurant, but I'm happy to pay for quality. Great meal. Thanks to Rahul, who reminded me to leave a review.

Started off with a beer, okay. Had the mixed grill starter to share, nice chicken but lamb was tough and very fatty, not much meat for the size of the chops. Then the main dish, after waiting for more than an hour, totally inedible, I ordered a tikka masala but resembled a vindaloo, way too hot. After 2 spoons I could not taste or feel my tongue or lips, even the waiter agreed it was very spicy, still wanted to charge full price. Ruined my appetite as I felt sick. My 2 friends also had commented on the heat. Overall a disaster of an evening, won't be back here again, as to finish off, 8 quid discount from a 120 bill was 10% according to them. Paid as I just wanted out. Shocking restaurant.

Definitely the worst restaurant I have ever been to, food so spicy it was inedible, I only ordered tikka masala. Even my friend commented on the heat and the waiter also returned the food and agreed. Still wanted to charge. Customer service non existent. Not impressed as recommended. Avoid
