Bhoomi Kitchen Oxford in Tonbridge and Malling

Great lunch with girlfriends. Staff were extremely helpful as one of us had a food allergy. Good ambience and choice of food. We all went for the two course lunch menu which was excellent value.

We visited this restaurant last summer and really enjoyed it, even recommended it to friends. Having just returned from a trip to this part of the world we thought it would be nice to go again. Visiting last night it felt like we’d definitely got the ‘B’ team! We’d booked….. but you wouldn’t know it, the dreaded phrase ‘please take a seat in the bar’…….was followed by much shuffling around of tables and chairs. This process seemed to follow when each group who had booked arrived so it’s obviously ‘what they do’. Then when we ordered it was only after we’d given our order that the waiter told us they did a vegetarian Bhoomi banquet (our companions being vegetarian), weird. Food was a mixed bag, interesting selection of mixed popadoms, starters forgettable, mains good (with excellent spicing), breads fabulous. Large portions, not sure any of us actually finished our food. I don’t think we’ll return, headington’s a pain to get out to and neither the food or the experience justify another trip. Oxford has some good Indian restaurants including The Standard in Jericho which has been consistently good for decades so why bother?

What an excellent find ! Visiting Oxford and came across an authentic Southern Indian restaurant. The Biriyani was this best I’ve had out of London. Staff padu and Sagar were charming and welcoming. I will miss this restaurant when I leave Oxford.

Went for lunch today at Bhoomi kitchen. Really lovely staff and the food was absolutely delicious. We all the thali and it was really good. Very well spiced and very flavoursome. We all really enjoyed our meals. They even made my son a salted lassi which he loves even though it wasn’t on the menu. Thank you guys.

We booked this thinking it was Michelin star , it is not quite there yet , they have started to process to become a start rated establishment. Odd menu , the starter are very small , and we had to order two of each. The mains were limited for Vegetarians. It was quite expensive for what we paid. around £40 which would have got us a 3 course meal. The food was quite tasty , seem well made, but limited choice for us.

Finally had the chance to visit after several recommendations. Hugely disappointed. Food was bland with little or no heat, portions were also on the small side. Genuinely can’t understand what the Michelin reviewers were thinking, it’s not even close to the standard of the most average of Indian restaurants in London.

The menu was deceptively simple, but in fact gave a number of options for a main dish within the Thali. I chose Butter Chicken. Everyone one else chose some thing different. It was lovely. Heavily spiced, it was just on the right side of being 'hot'. But the flavours shone though, Very filling and delightful explosions of tastes. l enjoyed the different presentations of pappadum, although the chutney that came with it was a fraction too hot for my taste. Still, overall i recommend this restaurant very strongly. Cant wait to return

I was lucky enough to try the updated menu today and had a Dosa. This restaurant is impeccably high quality so if you are used to basic Indian restaurants that bran everyone in, then it's not for you. If you want a restaurant where the staff focus on very high quality, with a dedication to making sure you enjoy your experience, then choose this restaurant! The decor is beautiful and relaxing.

We went to Bhoomi Kitchen for a birthday lunch. Having traveled around India extensively, attended the Jaipur Cookery School and living in an area known for its large Nepalese I’d call myself an Indian Food snob! Bhoomi really didn’t disappoint - its hard to find dosa’s on a menu in the UK yet here they were along with a traditional thali and homemade kulfi. We were in seventh heaven! The restaurant itself was exquisite, the service friendly and impeccable with a great music playlist that was just perfect. They very thoughtfully provided a surprise birthday course at the end complete with candle to accompany my old fashioned cocktail that had a magnificent twist! They thoroughly deserve to be listed in the Michelin guide and I’d recommend you get there before the prices rise with their first star!
