I have been coming here for 5 years and they don’t disappoint. The best indian in the area. Best service, 10/10 food. I couldn’t recommend it enough.

I got the plenty of options for the food and the taste was awesome. Staff were friendly and the service was amazing. I like the place and the ambiance.

We went to celebrate my in law's birthday, the staff really looked after us and brought a (shop bought) birthday cake out with sparklers. The Sunday Thali is really nice and they made me a vegetarian version.

This is our local curry house. All the waiters and waitresses are extremely polite and friendly. Restaurant has recently be refurbished and so clean and fresh. Food is amazing and plenty of choice with monthly specials which are always worth a try. Definitely is worth booking at the weekend, though they always try to accommodate walk ins.

Disappointing! Birthday meal for mother and daughter. Ive been to this restaurant before and enjoyed the experience but I won’t be going back after my visit yesterday. The culmination of the evening was to be charged full price when I had indicated we would like to be part of the Tuesday Special Offer. Upon raising the matter when the big bill arrived, I was told we didn’t comply with the criteria. We had mushroom rice not boiled rice, a prawn dish not a chicken or lamb dish, a Peshawar nam not a regular one etc etc. I was told it was all written down but on my menu even with my glasses I could not read the micro description. It was reduced in size to fit the menu and I doubt a person with 20/20 vision could see it clearly. No one thought to mention any items that didn’t match the offer at the point of order! Ive been to other restaurants where everything is crystal clear, easy to read with guidance and supplements available on their Special menu night. Having made me feel wrong to mention it the bill was calculated and I had been overcharged. Did we look like we wouldn’t mention it? Probably! There was a faint bleachy type smell underlying the food….maybe from washing up process. Plates and cutlery were very clean though! Home brew beer not great to me and not much cheaper than top brands. Glass of wine reasonably priced. We were the last 2 people at the restaurant having arrived at 9pm. The atmosphere during our last 15/20 minutes was that the staff wanted to shut up shop although they did ask if we wanted desert. I can’t blame them for wanting to close some looked like they had school in the morning. The staff were good aside from the discussion around the bill. Ive had far better food elsewhere but my daughter likes the spice level here. After this experience I’ll be going back to my regular haunt. A shame.

If it was socially acceptable to lick the plate clean I would. Best meal I’ve had in a long time!

Being objective as reviews should be. -tables are all too close together, ruins the atmosphere, very loud and could barely hear the others on my table. - not really child friendly due to close proximity and also noise. - food was presented nicely, but underwhelming and bland in comparison to other Nepali food places around. - portion sizes were generous - staff were very friendly and tentative, good service - priced reasonably. I would return again, maybe not on a Saturday night when really busy.

Ordered a take away waited ages for it to arrive when it did it was luke warm the chicken tika was the worst ive ever had, looked like thigh meat which I hate and didnt taste good. It didnt come with salad and ive never had tikka without salad coming with it. The Aloo Gobi was very average. Wouldnt use again as not cheap and very sub standdard.

Another fantastic meal. My go-to for an authentic tasting food. Love the naga curry, naan and poppadoms are great. As are all the sides. Totally recommend.

Went there for lunch with friends to celebrate a 50th birthday. As soon as the staff realised our reason for being there, they moved us to a specially decorated birthday corner for not a penny more!! The atmosphere was perfect and the food extremely delicious. To cap it all at the end, they brought out a birthday cake with sparklers!! I thought I would be charged for this but nope - all thrown in for free!! If you want a nice place to have a meal, look no further.

Had one of the best chicken chilli as I was looking for Nepali restaurants around the area. Momo was equally good. Staffs were attentive. Service was reasonably on time. Will be back when around highly recommended.

Friday night, didn’t book but got a table…. The staff are really nice and courteous, can’t fault them. The menu is typically Indian but with loads of Gurkha food as well. I have tried a few meals here and they are always made to a very good standard and delicious. The servings are big as well. Can’t fault the place, well worth a visit.

We arrived for what we thought would be another nice meal but was very disappointed.after waiting over an hour and 5 tables which turned up after us got there meal before us,we asked where our meal was only to be told it was lost in the system and would be with us soon.when it arrived both curry’s were very bland the tikka masala was like tomato soup which my wife couldn’t eat and the jalfrezi was very bland and like blitzed tomato sauce with no heat didn’t resemble a jalfreze at all.The mushroom rice had little to no mushroom in it the keema rice had just a trace of meat and the mushroom Bhaji was cold. We left most of the meal and won’t be returning any time soon.

We usually get a take away and we collect, we always get offered a small drink while waiting and complementary papadoms and chutneys. We been there for dine in last week and again the service was very good and the food was excellent (One of the best) definitely worth trying this for great Indian and Nepalese food specially. The Nepalese food where there was not much oil and fat and all the meat were cooked well and tender. One thing I like the most is the service they provide and look after every customers even when they are very busy. Thank you guys see you soon again as you have won our hearts.

So very disappointed with this place for Takeaway, we ordered a lovely dinner from them on Christmas Eve and the order was perfect, we did the same again for New Years Eve and knowing how busy they were likely to be on New Years Eve I placed the order at 2pm asking to collect it at 6.30pm. We ordered £102 worth of food – all from the starter menu as we wanted to buffet style dinner back home with lots of Chicken and Lamb Tikka, Momo’s, Bhaji’s, Samosa, Chilli Chicken etc. I arrived to collect my meal at 6.25pm and the food was ready for me straight away, I thought that was good but when they passed it to me from an insulated bag that was wide open I was a bit worried. I live 5 mins away by car and took the food home and it was all stone cold, I tried to call but nobody answered – as it was New Years Eve and they were quite busy and we wanted to get on with our evening we decided to try and warm up some of the food in the oven to take the chill off it at least. Sadly trying to warm it up wasn’t the best idea, heating the chicken up just made it overcooked and we had to throw most of the food away as it went rubbery. We also ordered some popadoms 2 x plain and 2 x spicy – they were all broken up inside the paper bag – and there only appeared to be part of one spicy one, not enough crumbs to make a whole one! As I couldn’t get through on the phone, I sent an email to ask for assistance, I chased the restaurant up for a reply on 2nd of Jan and got a reply to say they were busy and only now investigating it, I then got a further reply on 4th Jan where the manager advised he checked with his packer (who must have a great memory and can remember all the orders they must have dealt with on New Years Eve) to tell me the following, “Thank you for raising your complaints about our food/service. I’m sorry you are not satisfied with the food standard on New Year’s Eve. I have now taken over from my junior colleague. I have checked this with the packer. He said everything was packed hot. About the papadam’s I see you have ordered 1 plain and 1 spicy papadom. According to my investigation and interviewing our packer he said everything was packed nice and hot. Papadom’s may have get crushed as your order bag was full.” I was also offered £15 credit as a gesture of good will. We’ve used the take away and restaurant regularly, even going to their relaunch party in 2023 and hoped we could have relied on them to have looked at this more sympathetically – but a £15 credit is quite insulting, we spent £130 the week before and £102 on New Years Eve, so would have hoped they classed us as good customers! I did reply to their response to let them know we were disappointed with their investigation and as of the 8th Jan still not heard back from them. Sadly we will not be going back to them as a result of this issue. You are probably looked after better if you eat in the restaurant, but don’t stand a chance if you have a take away as they don’t seem that bothered once they have your money. Shame, this was a nice place to visit.

Ordered a takeaway; quick service. Some very nice dishes a bit different from the normal Indian/Bangladeshi fare. Everest Chicken, Timur Piro Lamb and Zimbu Dall are all worth trying.

We ate here tonight. Not been here before but my son chose it for a change. Was bit apprehensive on arrival, but then noticed the 5 star Hygiene rating on the door. Ordered our meals and WOW. The food was absolutely fantastic. We were a party of 5 and tried a lot of different things on the menu. None of us had anything negative to say. Everything was cooked to perfection. Service was good too. If you haven't been before I would give it a try. We will be going back again. Well done team Kathmandu.

Never again,..nilgiri chicken curry not as described on menu,...awful. I could not eat it. V poor tasteless garlic/onion rice..the garlish was a piece of radish on top of curry!...etc

Fantastic food flavour and service couldn’t eat everything despite trying

We really enjoyed the food and the hospitality. The Lamb chops were mouthwatering and my kids loved the momos.

It was very disappointing and annoying experience i had. I tried calling them for my delivery updates and they was very rude to me and forced me to cancel my order. And when i told i can't cancel my order they cancel my order themselves. And they hung up the call. They have no patience as well as they dont know how to talk to customers .

Yet to try the food but based on the amount of patience the guy taking our order over the phone had because of bad signal my hopes are high thank you very much. Can't wait!

I had my worst experience with this place ordered my food it arrived 1 hour and 30 minutes when i opened I was disgusting old food cold chicken curry was a some sponge stuff inside never seen before later find out was cheese I’m still shocked they still in business.

Tried quite a few Indian restaurants in the area but this is the best by miles! Can't believe I overlooked it for so long. The food tasted very authentic, not overly seasoned, sickly or sweet like some Indian takeaway food can be, but just the perfect amount of flavour! The food was clearly freshly made and came to the table piping hot! Tasted amazing!! The peshwari naan and onion bhajis were a highlight for me! On top of that, the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Prices reasonable, restaurant very clean and has a 5* hygiene rating! Will be returning regularly and definetely recommend trying if you're in the area!

It’s a little pricey but this is my favourite Indian restaurant by far!

Service good. Food served quickly, however, I prefer food served in metal dishes on hotplates rather than ceramic bowls as meal cooled down quite quickly. I had chicken Nilgiri which was excellent. All our party agreed food was very good. However it was very noisy in restaurant which is a pet hate of mine. I like to dine out and hear my friends rather than the neighbouring tables high pitched laughter and chat. Would dine there again but at a quieter time.

My first visit to the Kathmandu Palace in Ditton at the weekend will not be my last. The food was superb, surroundings classy, vibrant and welcoming and the staff looked after us beautifully. Highly recommended. I'm told the takeaway service is excellent also. Well done all and thank-you.

Very mediocre, and if you know what a good curry tastes like, this is below average at best.

Great curries, staff were really friendly and helpful. Went to celebrate son passing GCSE'S and he was treated to a free main course if he showed his results! Well done Kathmandu for doing this offer to recognise hard work and making him feel so proud!!

Food is good specifically vegetarian. Large groups can end up waiting long.

Just devoured a delivery from Kathmandu Palace, delicious; quick delivery, piping hot, rich sauces with delicious fresh herbs, way more meat, chicken and prawns than you would every expect to get. Absolutely delicious, best delivery I’ve had in years.

We had a take away from here on Saturday night. It was the best Indian we have had.

Best curry house in South west England

Really enjoyed the meal and the service was excellent. At many restaurants who do takeaway you can feel like a second-class citizen when you eat at the restaurant, but the service was excellent and I'd recommend it.

What a fantastic place to dine! Very lovely people, hygenic food, excellent customer service and neat & clean surrounding at the side of stream. If anyone of my friends are around, don’t miss the taste of Kathmandu Palace🙏

Best Nepalese takeaway. Food is hot and tasty. Not cheapest, but excellent value.

Food good but not the unhelpful Manager. There was 12 of us. Some had more to eat and drink. We wanted to pay separately but he just gave one big bill and said divide it by 12. He was insistent. So our organiser had to ask each one of us what we ate or drank. Gave her cash but it took her a while ticking off from the bill. Won't be going there again. He has not made a good impression.

Good food awesome taste friendly staff only thing is the portion size is small and service was a bit slow we oredered chicken momos, lamb chops , and mutton rogan josh , they dont serve whole nepali food However whatever qe ordered was upto the mark. Cheers!!

Food was lovely and staff were friendly and attentive but the cost was very expensive and they added a 10% service charge ! I thought tipping was at the customer's discretion but obviously not at this restaurant.

Was visiting the area and this place was recommended by a family member. Food was amazing and their service was brilliant. Am very happy with the place and will be visiting again when I am back in the area.

Waited 45 minutes for two kormas a tikka and three rice. Only two turned up then had go wait another 40 minutes for the rice to turn up in which the rest was cold. Then rang to complain was told the manager was on his way then got hung up on and restaurant refused to refund. Waste of time strongly recommended you avoid!!!

Decided on here for our first meal out since lockdown was relaxed. Lovely covid safe outside dining area and the service and food was excellent. Atmosphere was great too. Thanks for a lovely evening
