Turmeric Square in Tonbridge and Malling

A good night with family and friends. The restaurant is situated in up market conpex. The food was fantastic, colourful, and flavorful. Staff had no problem in meeting our request. I will be coming back😎👍🍤🫚🧄

This was a very average meal. To top it off it cost nearly £130.00 for 3 people! I am not impressed at all and the only reason we came here was for the supposedly 5 star reviews on Google after being in the area and doing some research, one review read, “the best Indian/curry restaurant in Kent”, a huge tag to live up to obviously but we thought if there are many reviews like that, it must be good… I will state my reasons for the 1 star review and feel it is justified. We had: a shared starter of sheek kebab, then for mains 1 chicken korma, 1 lamb rogan Josh, 1 chicken jalfrezi, 1 aloo gobi, 2 pilau rice and 2 naans. We had 4 beers, 2 coca colas, two mango lassi’s and 1 sparking water. Do you really think that amount of food should be almost £130.00 for three people? Absolutely ridiculous…the portion sizes were also very small. The naan breads were not even cooked in a tandoori oven! They were really poor excuses for naan breads I thought. The rice were tiny as well, normally you get so much rice you never have a hope of finishing it but you take it home with you. Again, just not good enough for the prices we are paying. The atmosphere and ambience was way too loud! With a focus on most people shouting over each other or just having too much to drink! I am from London and have had many great meals at very good prices. For three people eating the same amount of food as described above we usually pay between £70.00 ~ £85.00 and the quantities are much higher and the naans are actually cooked in a tandoori oven. I don’t feel last nights meal was even great tasting! It seemed to focus on just chilli and no taste, the korma and rogan Josh were poor and the jalfrezi was pure spice. Just not good enough! I adore this type of food so when I find one that rips off drunken fools who think they’re getting a good curry, I have to speak out! I have also spent a lot of time in the Indian sub continent so I know all about the food and how incredible it is! Please avoid and save your money! This place is a pure rip off and I am surprised there aren’t other reviews highlighting this. Please avoid and save yourself a huge sum of money to pay when the bill comes.

Amazing tasting food and great presentation. The restaurant is decorated to a high standard. The food is all fresh and delicious. The best Indian around for miles.

First time I have visited here, and I wanted to try it as it had different things on the menu than other Indian restaurants I had been to. I had the coco chilli prawns, and my friend had the king prawn biryani, we also had onion bhajis and a garlic potato and mushroom dish. All the food was delicious. My prawn dish had a bit of a kick but not too much, and the prawns were huge and butterflied. We started off with the usual poppadoms and chutneys, etc. We also had a glass of wine each, and the total bill without a tip was just over £66. I think that was a very reasonable price. The service was also very good and the restaurant is set out lovely with mostly round tables. We will definitely be back.

It’s been a little while since last here but it is as good as we remember in every way. Service good, nice table and great food. Loved everything about the evening meal.

It’s been a while since I last went, but good to see that the quality of food has remained top notch. You feel well looked after and the food is just beautiful, I’ve been to some others recently but having dinner I’m reminded why I keep coming back. I mustn’t leave it so long till the next time!

Me and my partner visited for dinner. Restaurant vibes were nice, very chilled and comfortable. Food was quick but we felt it was fairly average. We liked the rice a lot but the saag paneer was lacking paneer. The mains were nice but not overly flavoursome. My partner had the lamb dhansek but there were no lentils in it as traditionally served. We also found the service a bit awkward, the waiters would linger around the table often and one of them dropped a Bombay potato on my leg whilst clearing the table, accidents happen of course but he didn’t even acknowledge it even though he saw it happen. We felt the price of the food was slightly overpriced for what we received. The Bombay potatoes were quite hard. Overall, we were fairly satisfied but probably won’t return.

Had a fabulous meal. I suffer with several intolerances including to gluten, milk, onion and garlic. Cam was very reassuring on the phone beforehand and the staff were so helpful. Everything cooked fresh, even got some sag aloo, which I thought I’d never eat again in an Indian restaurant. Delicious seabass which was lightly spiced served with rice and a green salad. Made my night!

Best customer service I've so had in the Kent region, in my opinion. In particular, Mihad, our server, was incredibly cordial and professional. We cherished both the setting and the cuisine. Four dishes were ordered, but just one of them was excellent. Mihad inquired as to why we hadn't finished all the meal, to which my friend said that it was a little bland and dry. They removed the dish from the final bill, expressed gratitude for our candid feedback, and clarified that they value their guests. It exceeded all of my expectations, and I had a great time that evening. Strongly advised.

Went 18th August. Love this restaurant, the food is always fresh and delicious. They have dishes that are different from other places and more exciting. Dont hesitate to book The staff are great especially our waiter Miad. He is exceptional. From the moment you walk in with the welcome and being shown to a lovely table it never disappoints. Seats are really comfortable and tables beautifully clean with white linen. Straight away papadoms and pickles and drinks. Dishes on the menu are superb and I’m working my way through the special dishes with advice from the waiters. The chicken is always top quality. Can’t fault this place.

The menu looks similar to most others but the quality of the dishes exceeds all the local offers, and we've tried a few. The food looks and tastes as though someone has prepared the dish from scratch with fresh ingredients rather than using base sauce. That gives the dishes a zing and zip that others struggle to reproduce. I have to add that the only disappointing dish is the lamb bryiani which, with tiny pieces of lamb, comes over as dry. Get top chef on the case to resolve please! Typically we've had takeaways but the quality is just as good as the restaurant offer.

This the first time we have had food from this restaurant. I had passed it whilst going to drop a parcel off nearby and kept meaning to book a table but just hadn’t got around to it. With the 2 Indian restaurants in our area not being up to the standard that we were used to, we thought we would call Tumeric Square and order a take away. Amazingly, when I called, I was advised by Rubelle that they would also deliver. We ordered starters, 3 mains with rice and side dishes together with some sundries, all of which arrived on time. The dishes were second to none and the best Indian food that we had eaten for some years. Tumeric Square, you need to leaflet our area…..you will have customers galore!

Food Hygiene rating of 2, but before we had had a great meal here with the family, the owner is incredibly friendly and helped us with the menu. Food was great. May think twice because of the Hygiene rating now though.

Beware, they cant cope with the volume of take away orders on a Saturday night. Told to collect at 8PM , still waiting at 8.40. Free drinks just being offered to the disgruntled customers waiting! Some have been waiting for an hour.

Myself and my husband come and collect a takeaway or dine in here at least once or twice a month. We order on the ap take a nice walk over to the Indian and sit and have a nice couple of beers always an hour early each time. The staff are always lovely and friendly we always feel relaxed when coming here. Ideal for a few beers whilst waiting for your curry in the comfy sofa area. This is the best Indian in kent!!!

My friend that I was dining with this evening said that he had been here when it was first taken over and he was disappointed. I convinced him to give it another go, so along we went. He was right, it was disappointing!! The food was very average, absolutely nothing that you would say was great. Lots of it over cooked and it took a long time to serve. Unfortunately we won’t be going back as there’s far better quality in the immediate vicinity. The service was fairly good though.

Went here with colleagues. I decided to have a Balti being a Brummie to see if theirs was up to par, given the Balti was created in Birmingham. It was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

We went on a Thursday evening and it was very busy.. there wasn't any atmosphere it just felt like a big dining hall. To top it off I got a bill for someone else and had to justify it wasn't mine. This is how attentive they were. Won't be going back.

Tried this restaurant for the first time last night (22/10/2022) and wow!! My partner and I were recommended this place by friends and I must say we will be back again! I recommend the mango curry! It was lovely!!

Last night my partner and a friend enjoyed the food but they were given an alcoholic drink despite asking twice that it wasn’t alcoholic ie asked for soda and lime received vodka and lime they were still charged for this and had to get a taxi home as they had a glass of wine as well . They were charged over the top for wrong food orders and £22 for the drinks

Having enjoyed a take away from the Turmeric Square not long after they opened I had high expectations for dinner on Saturday night, we were not disappointed! We were welcomed in and shown to our table even though we were early and it was busy. The food was excellent my partners dad and I both loved the rice's (garlic keeema and chicken tikka) Service was quick and friendly. I would 100% recommend to anyone for a meal out, and will definitely be visiting again.

First visit on 21st May and from the minute we arrived we were treated like VIP’s. Nice busy atmosphere with excellent service and the food was great, would highly recommend this restaurant and looking forward to our next visit. If you like a spicy curry try the Chilli Balti as it has a nice kick to it and for some reason makes you drink more cold beers 😉

This fabulous looking restraunt has prime real estate on the Kings Hill Square and has a great atmosphere. The staff are helpful and attentive, a good start as you walk through front doors. I ordered a takeaway, which was perfectly on time. All excellent points I noted, as I walked away from the restaurant a happy man. I was in high spirits and understandably expected alot from my soon to be eaten curry. Sadly, that's where good news stopped. The food was bland. Unbelievably bland. There was nothing explicitly wrong with it - it wasn't burnt or overcooked. But if you are out looking for a good curry, you might just be better off making it at home
