We've been loyal customers of Saffron Summer for years and have always considered it our go-to for local Indian takeaway. Unfortunately, our last two orders have been really disappointing. The dishes we usually enjoy were completely different â the rich, flavorful sauces have been replaced with something more like a bland gravy. We initially thought it might have just been an off night, so we gave them another chance, but sadly, tonightâs meal was just as bad, if not worse. It feels like something significant has changed â possibly new management or a different chef â and the quality just isnât what it used to be. Itâs such a shame, because weâve genuinely loved their food for so long. Regrettably, we wonât be ordering from them again.

We ordered 5 curries from Trishala were completely disappointed via Deliveroo. firstly they all looked the same and secondly they all tasted bland and the same. I called to speak to the the lady and was told we are too busy to do anything about it!!! Having spent the best part if ÂŁ80 I wasn't too impressed at all as she was rude and arrogant. I explained none of the curries tasted good and all same and lacked flavour and only luke warm? To which she told me I was trying to BLACKMAIL them etc! will not be using this establishment again !!!

This was my first visit to Ruchita, and I was pleasantly surprised! From the outside, it doesnât look like much, but the interior is a different story. The restaurant boasts a lovely, inviting ambiance with tasteful decor. I was particularly charmed by the Indian floral drawings on the windowsâa delightful touch. The place had a vibrant vibe, with a busy crowd of smiling, laughing guests adding to the warm atmosphere. The staff were exceptional, all incredibly helpful and friendly. Our server, Zara, stood out for her attentive and kind service. For food, we started with a sharer platter, and I couldnât get enough of the chicken tikka and saladâthe onion bhajis were equally amazing. The peshwari naan was a highlight, hands-down the best Iâve ever had, tasting incredibly fresh. My curry was decent, not the most memorable Iâve tasted, but perfectly fine for the price. Speaking of pricing, it was very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. My only small critique is that tablecloths wouldâve elevated the experience, but itâs a minor quibble. Overall, I had a wonderful evening at Ruchita and would happily return if I were more local. Highly recommend!

I feel i must leave this review in light of what happened today ,Mothers Day , we booked a table for 3 over the phone and told the person my wife is in a wheelchair and the person said that,s fine When we arrived and went through reception we were faced with 2 high steps to get into the eating area . My son asked if they have a ramp and the staff said no , so the only choice i had was to lift the wheelchair via the 2 back handles up to chest level with 2 of the staff lifting the from the front , i am the wrong side of 70 !! We had no apology and just had to get on with it or go back home . My wife has Ms and she was extremely upset because of this . The food was good the service was impeccable . Then when we finished i had to lift her again back down the stairs . So ,Please note this Restaurant Does NOT have any Disabled facilities . THIS SHOULD BE ADDED TO THERE WEBSITE AND THERE STAFF BE BETTER TRAINED WHEN TOLD 1 OF THE PARTY IS DISABLED .
