Absolute rubbish sat there for over an hour before any food come up the chicken taste rubbery and hard very small portions for the price service slow the sauces that come with the meal where very bland we spent over£500 there never again

Great food, great service, really good value for money. Tuesday night banquet night £29.95 4 course meal. Usual friendly service and delicious food.

Very friendly staff, so helpful and kind; very good prices too. Nabil was funny too and we loved being looked after by him. We were there as a large group of women and had a blast! Thank you!

Terrible need I say more I feel that 1star is too much. Pompadoms were soft and all our curry’s went straight in the bin!

Went for food at 8pm, was empty in there, very awkward as all the staff stand around you, then it took over an hour for our food to arrive, and 30 minutes after receiving our drinks for them to ask what we even wanted wanted to eat.

Very nicely spiced food and helpful staff. Would happily return here. Ordered Poppadoms, Chicken Shashlik, Chicken Jalfrezi, Cauliflower Bhajee,pilau rice and a tandoori roti..all were excellent.

My partner and I visited this curry centre last night. We went there on recommendation for the first time,,,,, and for the last!!! First impressions were very nice, we were seated and we gave them our drinks order. We ordered our starters and we were enjoying them until we got asked three times by the waiters “were we ready to order”? They could see we were still eating? When the food arrived it was slammed down by one waiter in particular, we looked at each other and both said “that was rude” not looking forward to eating our meal now and wished we never come!!! When one of the waiters refilled my wine glass, he didn’t just put a small amount in, he virtually filled the glass to the top and I said to him “I didn’t want to drink that amount, as I had already asked for the screw top to take the bottle home with us!! There was no atmosphere there at all, no welcoming conversation, it’s like they want you in and out, so to speak! It’s very expensive for what it is, the waiters need to have more customer service and social skills and at the end of the day, we wish we had stayed at home!!!!

Food was excellent. Service could have been quicker, but it was a busy Friday night.

Service was slow plus the ventilation seems poor with the restaurant often filled with fumes that cause customers to repeatedly cough.

The owner is incredibly rude. DO NOT GET THE MEAT PLATTER, you’ve never seen a bag full of dry meat like it. Avoid this place!!!

Not worth the money, seems like they used a lot of butter in our mains only nice thing was the rice and nann bread. Definitely not returning.

Had a takeaway from here on Thursday for my wife and l, and I thought the rice and the Nan bread was nice, but the king pawn dish and the chicken dish was tasteless and watery, and the popadums were stale, also found a hair in the king prawn dish, expensive for a poor quality curry, wont be going back

If you like your curry the constancy of water then this is the place to go, such a shame as it the only curry house in the high street now, our last few meals here were over priced and very disappointing, they could really do with sorting this our now, maybe a change of chef !??

The restaurant was modern & clean and the staff were polite. Unfortunately what let's this restaurant down is the prices, as they are very expensive for what is, at the end of the day, just a standard curry house. Meals were Average. There are much better & cheaper curry restaurants within a 2 mile radius of this one.

Lovely service as usual but starting to be let down by some really mediocre flavoured dishes. Biryani was good but the accompanying vegetable curry was little more than half a can of carrot and coriander soup, water and a few canned vegetables - very poor, watery and completely bland - same for the cauliflower - just crappy looking and tasteless. The chicken tikka is much too ‘middle of the road’ and lacks ginger, chilli and lemon and a decent marinade time. It’s a convenient restaurant for us since the Saqui in Carshalton Beeches changed hands and went rapidly downhill last year, so we’ve eaten here much more often. I think it would be worth the staff tasting some of what’s coming out of the kitchen - especially the sides .., or try the Surrey Palace in Ewell!! As someone who spent many days in India, and gauges food relative to how I can cook it, the restaurant is sadly missing the mark a little too often. It’s almost like the chef is scared to present food in the way it’s described in the menu..,and takes too many shortcuts…brown pilau rice isn’t acceptable at all and is caused by adding cardamom, cinnamon, star anise and cloves to hot water whilst boiling rice. That isn’t OK ;-) … and suggests the chef here isn’t ‘on point’ any more…shame

We had a family dinner at this restaurant. Ambience was fine but there was only one other family. Serving staff was friendly but their head was rude - he didn’t care to explain menu options even when asked. Serving time was too long and made our kids wait. In most Indian restaurants papad (poppadom) is offered complimentary to kids while they wait for food to be served but not here. Another negative point is their cuisine isn’t authentic.

Been a bit hit and miss lately. Normally nice food. But last couple of times service was a bit slow. And the food was not up to its usual standard.

My usual Curry house was not open….. I ordered from Banstead Curry Centre as it is close to where I live. I did not enjoy the food ONE BIT. It was absolutely vile…. NO TASTE, PILAU rice was brown 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮poppadoms tasted out of date…. WILL NOT BE BUYING FROM HERE AGAIN AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE ELSE TO DO SO EITHER…….

We had an issue with the restaurant regards the discount that was allowed. The Gourmet app stated 2for1 on mains, I rang the restaurant and agreed that it would accept Gourmet card when booking and confirmed that I had a Gourmet card as soon as we entered the restaurant. At the end of the meal the owner would only allow 1 free main dish for the total bill. I explained that we had 6 main dishes and he should allow 3 cheapest dishes free but he insisted that it was only for one dish. I explained that the discount was for 12 people max as per the information of the app and he should allow 3 free dishes as stated on the Gourmet app. He refused to listen and insisted I was wrong.

Went for a meal here with my friend , food was very bland hardly any taste , nice restaurant & spotless clean toilets. Staff were friendly but you felt like they were staring at you the whole time. Was disappointed & wouldn’t return ☹️

Went here Friday evening for my daughters birthday, when we arrived we were the only people in the restaurant, we ordered some drinks but as I was driving I ordered water as did my son the waiters kept saying but we have this we have that ( I had intended ordering a drink with dinner but this put me off) Our food arrived my daughter ordered a sizzling dish as this was very hot the waiter served it for her as she started her meal she found a hair but decided she would still eat the meal but only to find a very long hair in it I called the waiter over who became very defensive saying they had no female staff so how would a hair be in the food This really spoilt our evening when it came to the bill the staff made a big deal out of the fact they had taken my daughters dish off the bill I paid and we left but we all felt we were treated very badly Most certainly will not return Very rude staff

Was out for a birthday meal restaurant was empty and the staff were extremely pushy. Later on as a birthday treat I ordered the king prawn Bombay sizzle and I found one hair didn’t react out it to one side as the food looked lovely then shockingly found another longer hair in my food. When I first highlighted this to staff they said we have no female staff it must be one of yours no apology took the one item of the bill. Shocking service really disappointing considered this one chosen fire to a lovely experience the last few previous times. Birthday ruined…do not recommend.

This is my Local curry house and in walking distance but I don't usually go here as I find the curry watered down / runny especially the Madras ! for the money you pay which isn't cheap I would expect better! (edited) after another bad experience with watery bland curry and more interested in serving as many beers as possible than good food!

Been here several times this year with friends and been served by the owner/waiter each time . The food is good but sadly we all found this man so rude/miserable i don"t think we will be back . Shame.....

I’ve been coming to Curry Center for 11 years with my wife and kids and it’s been always very nice experience. Food , staff and everything that comes with this excellent establishment is why we always go back . I strongly recommend this place over any other curry houses nearby and far . we usually book for my daughters birthday. We arrived but unfortunately she wasn't feeling great, so I asked for a takeaway and they delivered it to us for free. It is quite expensive, but excellent quality and a very friendly place.

I’ve been coming here for 5 yrs now and I keep coming back. I’ve tried numerous other curry houses around this district and including the city where I work. I truly believe it’s the best Curry House around. Friendly staff, extremely clean premises and the dishes come out smelling and tasting as delicious as they appear.

I have to say that after reading other reviews on this page I’m kind of wondering whether or not they are referring to the same restaurant that I’ve been dining in for years with family and friends?,I can personally say that it’s a great place to eat and their cuisine is absolutely delicious!,Raj and his staff greet you the guest in a very respectful and courteous manner and take you to your table to be seated and you are then presented with their menu with lots of lovely mouthwatering dishes enclosed!,after ordering your food it’s only a matter of time before your food is presented in a very artistic and professional fashion and I’ve seen other diners taking photos of it with their smartphones!,the hospitality in this establishment is first class and I am extremely proud to be able to recommend this restaurant to anyone who hasn’t yet had the pleasure of visiting,my many thanks and happy dining,please also take into account the current situation regarding Covid-19 and hospitality measures that all venues must clearly follow and abide by,thank you.

Lamb undercooked woke up with bad guts at 2am !! £11 for 3 poppadoms and a bottle of water while I waited !!! How can anyone justify this? Wont ever go back cheers guys

Went there for the eat out get out offer. The food was very watery and average for dishes that’s ranged from £9-15 you expect so much more. Was very disappointed on quantity too. Wouldn’t go back I’m afraid. Hopefully for the restaurant it was a one off.

Consistently good Curry here. The Pathia and Jalfrezi are excellent. Oh and the Naan bread is 👌.

There seems to be a depressing trend with online restaurant menus: no prices. People want to know two things from a menu: What's being offered and what the prices are. A menu that leaves either out is just ridiculous. Visited tonight and wish we hadn't. Very overpriced. If they'd have put the prices on the online menu we wouldn't have got caught.

Good parking good food and drink

Delicious.As a former Banstead resident, I was keen to have an Indian meal after a few beers in the recently renovated ‘Woolpack’ pub, opposite.I used to be a die-hard ‘Banstead Tandoori’ fan for years but with that having closed it was either Curry Centre or a long walk to Nork!Prompt service; great quality food and I’d happily go back. It’s a lot smaller than it once was which means it’s more in demand but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.. everything was flawless from entry to exit. If I had one niggle - they don’t serve kingfisher on draught but they do offer 600ml bottles so all is not lost.

A lot of other comments have been about the cost of a meal here, service is ok but not friendly, unless its the Owner, had a lot better quality food for less else where, would be happy to pay for quality.

Waiting 2hours to get our meals is not acceptable and I felt it was mediocre at best when it did arrive. Seemed more interested in selling beers then providing good service and good food. Disappointing.

Not bad but expense for very ordinary curry

Although thus restaurant is lacking somewhat in ambience and the service was rather slow and drawn out, the food was very good. The staff were ok, but not very friendly. However, I would eat there again.

I've been coming to the Banstead Curry Centre now for over 30 years and not once have I been disappointed with the food, atmosphere, service and menu. The choice of Indian cuisine is amazing, fresh, tasty, original spices and herbs. I would recommend The Curry Centre to anyone. Service is friendly and with a smile. Will be back next week with a group of close friends to celebrate a birthday knowing that the food will be top dollar.

Tried this place for the first time as our regular curry house at the other end of Banstead High street was closed for renovations.First impression the place looked absolutely fab.The food was good although the pasanda I had seemed as if was left over chicken tikka with sauce poured over as the chicken pieces were squared, skewered and orange!When we paid the bill I was surprised to find that when charging for 2 poppadom (£1.90) they also charged separately for the chutney and onions £3.90! Who eats poppadoms without relish I have NEVER been charged in any Indian restaurant for relish.I think I will wait for my regular to be refurbished and continue giving them my business.

Always superb good and Raj the owner always welcoming

First time visit for me with a couple of friends. I decided to try something different and asked the waiter a couple of questions. He was most helpful. The food was piping hot and the food was delicious. The dish I chose was Manchurian, superb. It was full of flavour without being so hot it burns your mouth. I will definitely return to this restaurant.

Was close to a 4 star due go price, but food, service, selection of currys and especially the naans were amazing. Very good service as well so would come back. Only downside was 10to11 per main meal which is a few quid more than most, but it was nice enough to warrant it.

Just moved to Banstead trying out the local businesses and this one is in our top 5. The food is exceptional with authentic flavours and the service is always great. Well worth a try! A*

Visited here on a rare child free evening after a recommendation from a friend. The food was ultra tasty and very well presented despite being slightly off menu; chicken tikka masala (madras hot) and chicken pasanda (madras hot, with chopped green chillis). Served with special fried rice and sag paneer sides. Everything was piping hot, very generous portions and cooked to perfection. The staff were extremely friendly and very welcoming and the service was impeccable. The restaurant was busy without being packed and the tables well spaced. A real gem in the area, very highly recommended. Will definitely use as our go to curry place until the end of time!

I've been here a couple of times now since moving to Banstead and would highly recommend. The food is great, well cooked and tasty. Also the staff are friendly and the service is good. I will be eating here again.

Ok. Prices have increased since I was last there and my Chicken Patia was not that tasty, neither was my friend's Chicken Dhansak. The "sauce" was very thick on both dishes, but lacked flavour. £5.50 per bottled pint of Cobra. Ouch.

This restaurant is lovely in decor, and good air con. Choice of drinks excellent,very nice house red wine. Service excellent, really friendly. The tandoori king prawns though were disappointing they were quite bland and very cool. Side dishes were excellent too .

We returned for our annual visit and as we were a group of 20 we were offered a fixed menu to speed up our service. Well there is a very wide choice on the menu and it is freshly served. We opted for individual choice and spent an excellent evening of a beer chatting away as the food was served to us in groups. Our group came from all round the UK and the rest of Europe and unanimously agreed it was the best curry that they had tasted. Thanks to the Curry Centre staff for organising a great evening.

Always superb and delicious food highly recommend

Never been for a buffet style lunch here before,the menu is very varied covers all tastes etc, very little restriction on what you can have, very reasonable price too.

Today my fiancé and me decided to go for a curry and we went to the curry centre restaurant in Banstead Village opposite the old police station and the food was outstanding and the service match the food . Recommend this curry house anytime. The bill was good I think , we had two main dishes, two fried rice , two nam and beer £52 and lots of parking in front of restaurant.

It has been many years since we last frequented this Indian restaurant & I have to say, given the watered down curries we experienced, it will be many more! The tiny pieces of lamb (?) were swimming in a thin and runny Madras sauce, which had absolutely NO flavour. The Nan was nice but there really is no excuse for such poor quality Indian food nowadays. Very disappointing!

The food was superb and the staff were very friendly and attentive, I would highly recommend a visit.

Great curry selection and family run restaurant

I am a regular customer and have eaten at The Curry Centre many times over many years. Food is high standard (fairly typical menu but some nice twists), service excellent and friendly, and prices very reasonable for the quality. Nice ambience - can get crowded when busy but never a problem. Its all that a good local restaurant should be.

Just had a fabulous meal with friends. The food was really outstanding. Flavourful and plenty of it. We sat down at around 7.00pm and were served really quickly. I had a wonderful prawn starter dish that I had never seen before - which might have been the Tawa King Prawn, after a quick check of the menu - absolutely divine.

Good place to go for a Curry in Banstead Village

We didn’t have a recommendation but were in need of a curry takeaway and the Curry Centre was en route to our friends. We received a warm welcome and invited to sit while ordering. Traditional Chicken Korma and Chicken Tikka Masala were ordered and an estimated 20 mins was beaten easily and they were excellent. But the popadoms with chutney, lime pickle and raita were the stars of the shows. Good, not great value.

Food was reasonable if the predictable British high street curry house offering. Poor choice of vegetarian main options which made it underwhelming for me. How about a Vegetable Thali for example to bring a bit more interest? We don't all want a meat dish. Service was fine but I won't be rushing back and will try other local curry houses first in search of a more interesting meal if I want a curry.

Can feel cramped in the restaurant, but the service is always 10/10. The foods quality will depend on the day of the week you go. However, menu has some great unique dishes. It’s pretty pricey though, especially for a curry.

A Tandoori delightful tasty platter, was requested and boy did they serve a real deal. Truly a good dish will be asking for this again most definitely.

Eat here on a regular basis. Staff learn your name and provide a very personal, friendly, high quality service. Food is amazing and prices are fairly reasonable for Banstead. Definitely worth a try if you haven't already. Highly recommended.

Simply amazing curry tonight , the chicken is top quality on a par with the best supermarkets on the high street or butchers. I was allowed into the kitchen to praise the chef. Cleanest kitchen I’ve ever seen. Bring your family / friends here & enjoy the best curry ever !

The food was well presented and hot. We did not have to wait long for it to arrive and the service was efficient and friendly.

One of the best currys iv ever had. The place has a nice fresh clean feel to it. Very good friendly service the staff were very polite and efficient. Good value for money. Healthy and wholesome.They have taken into account things like allergies, nutritional values, source of ingredients to ensure quality.overall, VERY IMPRESSED!

We ate in the restaurant a month ago, and had a takeaway last week.Both times it was very good, M thinks the brinjal bhaji (aubergine) is excellent, but the mushroom rice is just ok. The onion bhajis are really good, and I've enjoyed the biryanis - they were very happy to do my personal favourite prawn and muchroom biryani despite it not being on the menu. Service very pleasant but not particularly quick, and not the cheapest place, but overall well worth the wait and the price. Recommended
