The best Indian I've ever had! The portion sizes were more than generous. The food was cooked perfectly. It's the most authentic Indian food I have ever experienced.

Ordered a garlic naan, got to say it’s the worst I’ve ever had. It was so thick I thought it was 3 in 1. Never again

The food was very bland unfortunately but the elderly man serving was shockingly rude seemed as if he hated being there.

Burnt poppadoms and bland chicken

Our family has come here for decades but recently the food has been much better than a few years ago. It used to be too much oil and sauces tasted the same. But big improvement thanks so much

Amazing place with Rois the entertainer 😃. I’ve gone there with friends who’ve I’ve not seen for sometime and they drove from Billingshurst. Rois is a well known character and I guess that’s the reason people love his food and charisma to Merstham Tandoori. There is a car park at the rear of restaurant which is great . We’ve order King Prawns , Mushroom Biryani , Duck Bhuna , Tarka Dall with rice and nan bread and poppadums and chutneys as appetites. The food and service was excellent as usual by Rois and his amazing staff. The only thing is he doesn’t sell alcoholic drinks but has a great range of non alcoholic drinks on the menu. If you want alcohol, there is a Coop opposite where you can purchase and I think Rois allows you to drink with your meal ( please ask , as we’ve not had to drink any alcohol and there maybe a corkage charge ?) Overall our trip to the retail was great so recommend you make a visit if your in Redhill or Merstham for work or catch up , fir me it was work and catchup 🤣

Just had Tarka daal today ,daal look nice as they done tarka with butter , but after few bites ,feel daal was off not fresh and taste was sour , shame how can you serve food that not fresh and few days old . Never ever even chapaati or naan . Should complain to food authorities Its -☆☆☆☆☆ not plus

Went here last night for a meal. It was wonderful, so tasty. Service was excellent. Didn't feel rushed in anyway. Was a lovely place to go to to finish off our trip to this area for a family occasion. Thank you. The Mitchells

This is not a licence restaurants, but BYO. Friendly staff. Food average, small portions.

The owner/ manager. So rude! It's locally to us, which is a shame because we won't be going back!!! The manager, takes our plates away when we haven't finished eating. When I said I haven't finish, he's saying something under his breath. Trying to get rid of us by turning lights off when though it's no way near closing. Been a few times because the foods nice, so such a shame for us.

Wow, what a pleasant surprise this restaurant is. . The food was excellent, the portions were generous, and the bill was the lowest bill I've seen for sometime. We paid less than 25 a head and to be honest we went a bit over the top, you can probably eat for 20 or less here.

The chicken Madras had huge pieces of meat in that were tough -and not a nice taste. Had to throw away.

Food was amazing. Good portion sizes and was freshly cooked and hot. Would recommend the butter chicken and the chicken tikka masala. We will be ordering from them again. 10/10.

Nice meal with free delivery. This is a nice restaurant which we have now used a number of times, with no delivery issues, despite being a few miles from them and with difficult access. Tandoori is real! and well presented.

Terrible meal. Chicken karahi had tough reheated tandoori meat added to a bland gloopy sauce. Tarka dhal was watery and flavourless. Chana masala was bitter and tomatoey. Rang to complain but could not get a refund, just next meal on the house, but we will not be risking ordering from here again. Really disappointing.

Great starter but Chicken Tikka Biriyani was the worst ever tasted - just ate the chicken and some rice - no offer for discount or another meal either ! - sauce tasted of aniseed which is fennel and no curry in it at all - tasted better ready meal from Sainsburys ! - won't be returning any time soon - need training by chef at Taj Mahal in Addlestone which is the best !

The food was delivered late I had to call the restaurant and they said the driver left 45 mins ago and would see where he was an hour later the food arrived stone cold and was disgusting

Tried some diffeent things this time. King Prawn Dhansak excellent! Chicken Tandoori still a little dry, unfortunately, but for the most part the meal was very nice, and thanks for the Popudoms! More menu to explore too..........Will order again!

Ordered loads to save for tomorrow nights’s dinner but 1/2 has gone in the bin. It was the most putrid, watery tasteless excuse of a curry that I’ve ever had the displeasure of. I will not be wasting my money there again.

First time used, nice food quality, and found the address easily despite some distance from the restaurant. One improvement would be a bit more description on the site for the dishes, which were nice quality. Will definitely use again!

Merstham Tandoori is the best Curry Take Away Place / Restaurant in the area. I've actually moved further away since discovering this place, but still find it's worth the drive when I fancy a curry. Highly recommended! More people (myself included) need to dine in though. It would be a shame to reduce it to just a take away venue.

Engagement Party Delight - we live near Nutfield Road Merstham and even though there's a local Indian takeaway, the food has been a real let down (dry shish kebab, fatty chicken etc) and then we discovered Merstham Tandoori and after a few takeaways we decided to use them for our engagement party of 30 odd guests. The food turned up hot, on time, individually packaged so guests could take what they wanted, good quality without any shortcuts and we would use them again for such an occasion so thank you.

Lovely food, clean and with friendly staff that had just the right amount of attentiveness - not intrusive but very aware and reactive - and definitely a restaurant I'd return to. I forgot to take pictures of the food, but I'll do that when I return.

Both curries were very sweet, almost as if sugar was used instead of salt.

The restaurant were accommodating when we requested to changed one curry from chicken to paneer. The food arrived on time, but was quite cold. The curries were very sweet and we couldn’t eat all of the sauce. We got a free poppadom.

I honestly don't do this, but I have to say this was one of the worst curries we've experienced in a long time. The Biryani was burnt...literally the meat was burnt and dry. The Medras had a terrible sauce, which I wanted to scrape off the chicken. Mushroom rice was okay, Saag Aloo was good, poppadoms too, and the starters were okay, but kinda basic. Buy, honestly, the mains were terrible.

Simple, it's the best restaurant and takeaway I've ever used. They have a great range of Bangladeshi dishes including the fish recipes traditionally eaten in that country. All of this alongside the range of meals found in other Indian and Tandoori restaurants. Outstanding!

Meal was immaculate. I had a chicken biryani and it was one of the best I have ever had. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. All my friends were happy with their meals, 3rd time I'm coming here and definitely won't be the last!

Ordered a £9.95 chicken dansak which didn't come with rice!? Phoned restaurant to be told online orders don't come with rice! Yet their menu clearly says 'with full pilau rice'! Will not use their online ordering any more, when you pay that much for a curry you expect to get what you pay for! the chicken pasanda had rice included!? although again I ordered chicken pasanda and got chicken tikka pasanda! MT has gone down in my expectations so will think about going elsewhere from now on. Shame because we've been customers for years :(

We often have a takeaway from MT but the latest was terrible. My Rogan Josh was so tough it made my gums bleed trying to chew it. I sent a message to the restaurant but received no reply. VERY DISAPPOINTING Will go elsewhere Not a visit, A takeaway

A fantastic takeaway (delivery is now available since Covid) who obviously take customer service and food allergies very seriously. My son says they make the best butter chicken he's ever had! I really recommend this takeaway! A friendly family who have put thought and money into changes since the pandemic. Now has only a small dine-in area and takeaway.

I have been to the merstham tandoori on saturday 21 august 21..the service and the staff are very friendly...when we ordered the food we did not wait to long before it was served....the food was real nice very tasty and well presented...I like to thank all who attended to me and my friends you were so nice and friendly.. Poor quality with low taste, frozen lamb shank also old taste after meal chew meat as well. Very disappointment specialy for this price

Absolutely delicious and plentiful

I’ve always ordered takeaways from here but never dined in. And it is so much better to dine in that take away! The staff were so friendly and always up for a chat too, and the food was 10/10 (the onion bhaji’s were amazing)! The restaurant itself is spotless, quite small but it’s lovely, you don’t feel claustrophobic or anything! I’m definitely returning here again!

We love this place but today the food was sadly really bland which was really dissapointing. The main courses were very wet with lots of water in them and the bhaji's were very stodgey in the middle :(

I ended up ordering 3 x mains and some sides just to meet the min. delivery threshold, despite only ordering for myself. I will get three meals out of it. Poppadoms were great, crisp and not at all oily. Tandoori chicken good, if a little dry. Chana masala good. Brinjal bhaji tasty but swimming in oil. Good selection of pickles, more than I ordered, which confused me, the chilli and lime ones were rather oily. Raita seemed to be literally cucumber and set yoghurt. I would order from Merstham Tandoori again, but I would prefer a lot less oil in some of the dishes. Delivery turned up earlier than expected, so I wasn't ready for it.
