Great takeaway on BB a Saturday night - Chicken Delicious, Sally Lamb, naan and pilau rice. Tasty and full of real spices ie cinnamon, curry leaves and fresh coriander. Ready in 15 minutes.

By far the best Indian on the island, and we have tried them all, very reasonably priced. You can bring your own beverages which is fantastic and keep the cost down. Very accommodating with choices as well. Lovely family run business

We ordered a takeaway as staying near. No delivery fee and I can honestly say, our meals were just perfect. We will be back in September.

Not the usual menu, lots of different dishes to choose from. Very good service. Quality was superb, as was quantity. Excellent value for money too. Can't wait to go back ☺️

I have to give my appreciation to the staff at Eastern Eye for helping me to put together a romantic evening for me and my girlfriend. The food was absolutely delicious and they were able to easily cater and adapt dishes for vegans, the service was incredible and the environment was warm and hospitable Couldn’t ask for better, we shall definitely be back in the future!!

I had high hopes for this Indian restaurant based on the reviews, but unfortunately, it was a major letdown. The service was painfully slow, and the staff seemed disinterested and inattentive throughout our meal. We had to ask multiple times just to get water refilled. As for the food, it lacked the authentic flavors I was expecting. The butter chicken was overly sweet and lacked the richness and depth of real Indian spices. The naan was soggy and clearly not fresh. To top it off, the biryani was dry and bland – it tasted like reheated leftovers rather than a freshly cooked dish. Cleanliness was also an issue – the table was sticky, and the washroom was in dire need of maintenance. For the prices they charge, I expected a far better experience. Sadly, I won’t be returning or recommending this place.

Easy to order online for home delivery. The last few meals from here have been really good. We had biryani, korma, tarka dal, peshwari naan, onion bhajis and a poppadom. No complaints! It arrived hot and was very tasty. We really enjoyed it. If I was being super picky then I'd suggest using a bit less oil in the dishes and it would be nice if orders came with a free poppadom like they used to with a previous owner. It might not be the best Indian restaurant on the Island but it's good.

I have used Monsoon a few times and found good until recently. I phoned up to order a delivery. The person I spoke to was rude and the kitchen could no longer cater for my allergies. I was made to feel like they didn't want my custom.

We called ahead to book a table which we were pleased to find was ready when we arrived (particularly as a bigger party on a Saturday night) - however, we were seated on our own on the first floor in a room with no heating and the windows had been left open so it was very cold. The service was reasonably quick and the waiters were polite and friendly. We ordered a range of items from the menu and unfortunately found that all of the food was exceptionally disappointing. Everything had a sweet taste to it but had no other flavours or spices (and most things had heavy red food colouring). The only decent thing was the butter naan (but even this was sweet). The portions were very small which was surprising given the price for each dish. The restaurant was quite narrow to get in and out of (with tables very close to the door) which meant we struggled to get in and out with the pushchair - and suspect it would be difficult for someone with a wheelchair or difficulties with mobility. We would not return to this restaurant again and wish we had paid attention to the reviews before deciding to eat here.

Expensive takeaway of average quality. Food & Hygiene Rating 2!! Only saw this when I went to collect the food, if I knew that I would have avoided. Avoid the onion bhaji it was like eating fried hay. The chicken chat puri was a tika version with a very sad looking and unappetising salad. The best dish was the Lamb jalfresi which tasted very nice. The Nans were of a good size and cooked well. Having lived in India and Nepal I’m used to making my own curries, but I was tired and thought I’d treat myself. Prices were steep for an Indian takeaway compared to London but I thought judging by the area of Seaview the food quality would also reflect the prices, not so. Glad that I didn’t eat inside, there is no atmosphere at all whatsoever and no one in sight, very strange.
