Not Indian but Bangladeshi Restaurant. Not great taste. It took more than 35 mins for the food to arrive.

Good food, but very hot. Ordered my usual dish but it came out extremely spicy for a rogan josh Clean and tidy.

Our best meal on the isle of Wight, we visited as a family of 4 adults and loved the food, the service was spot on and not too pushy, we booked for a second visit after our first meal as we loved it so much ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We were very impressed with the service provided by the team at Cinnamon and the quality of the food. We weren't able to eat all that we had ordered as the portion sizes were very generous... We will certainly be back...

Every 3 months we have a group of 40 people who work at Shanklin Theatre book this amazing restaurant. It's definitely the best Indian Restaurant on the island. All of the food is fresh, high quality and plentiful. Service is super efficient, friendly staff and nothing is too much trouble. Soon after one visit to Cinnamon, our list is full up for the next.

Brilliant evening with my best friend and 88 year old mum, she enjoyed the eye candy the waiters supplied. They were very professional and attentive. Would strongly recommend.

We last came here quite some time ago, so decided it was time to go back! We were not diappointed. Both mine and my husband's meals were absolutely delicious, each a good portion size made with fresh ingredients, tender meat and served piping hot by friendly and attentive staff Fully recommended and we'll definitely be back.

Went last night for my daughters birthday. Friendly service by both members of staff. All food was really tasty and hot. Brought out my daughter’s cake with plates for us all. Even gave her a bottle of Prosecco which was just lovely. Great evening so thank you.

What a super restaurant and experience. We were on holiday for four days and dined here twice as it was so good. The second time we took our daughter and her children..! Service was impeccable and food delicious. When we holiday here again we will most definitely return.

Fantastic food and so tasty, portion sizes are very generous. Staff very friendly and polite, if you want quality food in shanklin come here as you won't be disappointed Came back this year and it's changed , food salty and bland and they missed a dish from our takeaway. Ordered two hours in advance and still wasn't ready when we came to collect. Won't be going back and won't be recommending anymore

My husband ordered takeaway food to collect for an anniversary treat, we have been before when visiting the Island, and was really pleased. This time the food wasn't as good as last year the dishes lacked flavour but not salt far too much in the saag aloo, plus our mixed kebab starter was missing, too far to walk back to claim. Shame as the staff were lovely and the place was clean and busy.

We ordered a takeaway and Stuart delivered early and the delivery was early and was offered a lift back to our park. Absolutely amazing service the food was delicious and still warm couldn’t fault the food or the service went completely out of their way and refused payment!

Had a nice chat with our server about history of cinnamon restaurant,he was very attentive without being over attentive,and did not rush us as we took our time I had mixed grill and the chicken was so soft I could squash it with my tongue ,lemon rice ,chana masala and sag prawn and onion bhaji all generous portions with naan bread ,no room for pudding my only problem was the cobra beer could have been colder ,we had an xlnt time and we will be back

The food was lovely. We had the baba naga lamb and cinnamon special biriyani they were very nice.The brothers working there was friendly and helpful made us felt welcome🥀. We will return next time when we visit next time in Isle of Wright.

Came here in July and the meal was very good, came back in September and was very disappointed. Both mine and Carol's chicken was tough as though it had been frozen and not fresh. The naan was stodgy and cold. No one asked if everything was ok with our meal it was if they didn't care and just wanted you out. Shame

Great tastinf food but bad value for money, I am loyal customer that ordered every couple of weeks, but hadn't been for a while and decided to order for my partners birthday as a treat had 1 problem before and the same today !!! I ordered My food across the phone.. once I had my food delivered I phoned them back, very rude on the phone making out I hadn't ordered some of the food that was missing but still charged me £35 ! Very small order.. very disappointed will not go there or order food again. Since being a loyal customer anymore.!

Tasty food but some of my order missing !! Then when I phone they making out i didn't say what was missing.. used to be a very loyal customer always going there every week. But I will not be going anymore after ripping me off !! £35 for a very small amount and 2 items short also absolute rip off ,!¡! We had a fantastic meal at Cinnamon and would highly recommend. The service was excellent and the food outstanding. We had the Dhaka garlic chicken which was just delicious. We had a mixed kebab which included paneer (specially made for me.) My daughter who is 5 also enjoyed her chicken tikka meal- she cleaned her plate. We are from Leicester and there are many fine Indian restaurants around there, I have to say this one is up there with the best. Thank you 🤩

We order food on 10 Aug at our hotel. All I can say is the worst food I have ever tasted from any restaurant. Breads were sweet and un cooked. All curry is having same taste , full of raw coconut powder and excess of oil. Food was not even cooked properly and some bits of food was raw. Staff and the person who took the order was very rude.

**Rating: 5 stars for food, but a very disappointing experience** We had a frustrating experience at this restaurant despite the food being excellent. When ordering, we were told that we had to place all our orders at once because any additional orders would take 15-20 minutes to prepare. We agreed to this, even though we were there for a leisurely dinner, not a quick breakfast. The policy forced us to order everything at once, which led to our food getting cold. We prefer to enjoy our meal slowly, but the restaurant's approach to service seemed to overlook this. We understand there are rules, but they should accommodate customers who wish to dine at a more relaxed pace. The lack of flexibility and the staff's impolite response to our concerns were disappointing. We’ve dined at numerous restaurants, but this was an experience unlike any other. We left without finishing our dinner and chose to dine elsewhere. In summary, while the food was good, the inflexible ordering policy and the staff's demeanor made for a very negative dining experience. We hope the restaurant will reconsider their approach to customer service.

So so disappointed AGAIN! I hate writing negative reviews as I totally understand every restaurant is trying to survive. We rarely can afford a take out, but go all out when we do, spending around £47. So when you order it for an allotted time and turn up early, are asked to sit down and wait, it's incredibly disappointing when it's cold! We live literally around the corner, so no excuses there. This is the second time this has happened. Sorry, as good as the mango chicken is, I'm spending my money elsewhere next time 🤨

The food here is really good, staff very friendly and helpful. Good menu and plenty of choice. I had a saag and Carol a bhuna. Both came piping hot and nicely spiced, garlic naan was very tasty as was the pilau rice. My only complaint would be how quick the food was served, maybe they could give you 10 - 15 mins between courses. Will definitely go back.

We went to this restaurant, expecting some great Indian food. The Diet Coke was flat. The red wine was like it had been corded the food that came out was like it came out of a microwave. Chicken tikka masala was full of deep red sauce it was that thick you couldn’t see the chicken same with the korma very overpriced for very poor food

We went to Cinammon in the early evening. The staff were welcoming and friendly, but we didn't feel that the two dishes we had were up to the standard of other Indian restaurants that we have visited. We were disappointed with the food- chicken tikka massala and a mixed seafood curry. Both were rather bland an uninteresting.

Food is absolutely to die for. The service was extremely friendly and welcoming. Make sure you’re hungry. Yum yum. Set menu for two is enough for four. Don’t forget your doggy bag.

Probably the best curry I've had in a restaurant!!! Really good size portions as well....I could easily have shared my main!! I had the Baba Naga if that's the right spelling....recommended by my friends who are local to the area.....definately something you don't get anywhere else.... loved it

We visited on the first night of our holiday. It was a bit noisy as England had been playing in the Euros that afternoon, so some of the other diners were a bit, erm, “exuberant”. The food is great and good value

We visited Isle of Wight and thought of having some authentic Indian food and found this place very local. Wonderful service. I asked for medium desi hot Lamb Masala Handi Gosht. The sauce wasn’t sweet at all and tasted delicious. We will be going there again tmrw evening. Indians do try this restaurant but make sure ask for authentic taste and they will prepare it for you.

On holiday from Derby we had read the reviews and knew that this was going to be a good place to dine we weren't disappointed We ordered a cinnamon delight and a Dhaka garlic lamb with garlic rice and a garlic chilli nan and a mixed kebab starter everything was cooked to perfection, special mention for the nan bread which was fluffy and unburnt 12 out of 10 an absolute perfect meal. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Chicken biryani was top notch,service ambiance was great! A great place for family dinners! The only bit disappointing was the cheese nan! Seemed straight out of freezer with a spoon of cheese laid on the top! Other than that would highly recommend this nice cosy restaurant for best Indian flavours!

Really salty, we could barely eat it.

During our recent visit to Shanklin, we wanted to sample at least one Indian restaurant, and after reading the reviews chose Cinnamon. It was a good choice, as it was really rather good. Our only negative observations are that the chicken in both the starters and the main courses appeared to be rather 'soft', or overly tender, with less texture than I would have liked. I am unsure as to why this was. Furthermore, the 'Tikka' starter was not served 'sizzling' like I am used to. Perhaps I am being overly 'picky'. Other than these rather minor issues, everything was excellent. Our meals were most enjoyable and very tasty. Prices were very reasonable and the portion sizes were generous. We will certainly return when we next visit the Island.

Food was decent but the service was appalling. Waiter kept pressuring us to order more even though we knew it would be enough for our family. Kept questioning us if we wanted to order more food even though we had gotten to the end of our meal and had leftovers. When we asked for a takeout container he questioned us and was like ‘what for? For that?’ in a rude manner and smirked as if we can’t take left overs home even though we’re paying for the food. Honestly the service ruined our entire meal. Wouldn’t recommend.

Food was good, but the service was very rude.. though we didn’t ask for the bill they already brought the bill .. I understand that it was a busy time etc., but staff could have been courteous..

-Friendly staff -Nicely decorated restaurant, not massive so would recommend booking popular times, ie weekends. -Very tasty and well flavoured food, good portion sizes. We just had popadoms and a pickle tray to start as had eaten plenty that day, but had a nice selection of starters for meat eaters and veggies. Popadoms were fresh and crunchy, nice selection on the pickle tray (mixed onion salad, mint yogurt, mango chutney and lime pickle). We had Dhaka garlic chicken, chicken tikka balti, cheese and garlic naan, and special rice. Naan was lovely and sweet, rice was one of my favourites, really tasty. Balti had plenty of onions and peppers to form a nice sauce and Dhaka garlic chicken was beautiful, plenty of garlic and a rich tasty sauce. Would 100% recommend if in the area, just a shame we’re not local, as would love to come back!

Me and my boyfriend went in for an evening meal, never usually dine in but decided too for once. Service was great, food was delicious and waiting time was exactly what we hoped for. Staff was very customer focused too! Will definitely come back and looking forward to trying something different.

We have been on the island for almost a week, and only discovered this place last night. We wished we had found it sooner. The food is absolutely delicious. It is freshly cooked using good ingredients. Hats off to the chef 👌 The staff are lovely and very helpful. The place was full on a Wednesday, that says a lot. Top marks from us. Amazing meal as always. Staff are always welcoming and able to deal with special dietary requirements - vindaloo sauce without coriander etc.. Tandoori King Prawn dishes are worth a special mention but all dishes are freshly cooked, not greasy and very tasty. Large portions. Can't recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Not a great experience , I visited the place today and just to experience the taste before ordering main course I ordered the “achi panner” and felt I should not go with main course for now and then manager response was odd he warned me we don’t consider starters if someone is not ordering main course. Suggestion make your mind before going. And as manager informed consider Ordering the main course and if not be ready for rude behaviour.

What a find this Indian restaurant was. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. The cinnamon special curry is the best curry I have had for a very long time and would highly recommend it.

Ordered online using their website for a home delivery for the first time. Excellent from start to finish, so easy to order, arrived soon afterwards, lovely and hot. Beautiful food, 10 out of 10 for everything we ordered, all delicious. We are all vegetarian, had veg curry, rice, naan, omelette and chips, all very, very happy with the food and the prompt service. Searched for an Indian takeaway whilst on Isle of Wight for a long weekend and this one came up. Food was so yummy no complaints at all, nice big portion sizes and staff were lovely over the phone and face to face when picking up. :)

Excellent service. Friendly staff, nice food. Crisp poppadoms with onion,tomato, chutney, spicy picked and mint raita, onion bhaji starter very good. Had lamb passander, nice flavour, with basmati rice and had Keema naan. Bottle of chilled house rose, Spanish Highly recommended, very reasonable Returned Halloween for dinner, I had Tandoori mixed grill with plain naan and my wife had Lamb passander again. Excellent service, very good food, highly recommend. Looking forward to next time 10/10

Disgraceful customer service. I entered the store with my fellow black Muslim colleague and naturally the first question I politely ask the manager was “is the food halal”?. He said “yes”. I asked for a certificate or some sort of proof and he rudely replied that if I say the food is halal then it is halal. I suggest you use some manners of you would like to attract more customers. The manager was rude, condescending and quite frankly racist in my opinion.

First visit for an Indian takeaway on the isle of wight. Absolutely blown away by the quality and quantity! One of the best meals we have ever had. Before we left to return to the mainland we went back to the restaurant and ordered several meals to take home with us and put in our freezer. Looking forward to enjoying them to remind us of a wonderful holiday. Well recommend, will return on our next visit to the island.

The best Indian food and service I've ever had on the Island. From the moment we walked in the door the service was great. The food arrived quickly and was excellent.

Really disappointed. Having been a customer for many years when a mistake was made on a takeaway order there was no apology. My son’s normal Korma curry was a very spicy tomato based sauce. When I drove back from Sandown I was told I had ordered curry. Had that been the case surely they would have then asked Korma, Madras etc. ? Mistakes happen but their appalling customer service means I will never go there again. I suggest anyone risking a takeaway should check their order before leaving the restaurant.

Came across this joint on Google when searching authentic Bangladeshi cuisines in IOW, ordering process was very quick and staff were friendly inside. In terms of the food, the pathia we ordered needs some rework from the chef, I can’t understand why you don’t blend your onions, seems a little lazy to me and I’ve had pathias regularly and this was one of the worst. Otherwise the mixed grill and paneer we ordered was tasty, but your pathia needs work!
