The best restaurants serving Indian food in Guildford South East

Raviz offers a really good menu with a few recognisable dishes and a few new names. The service is exemplary, with a few interesting extras thrown in, between courses, and all this at a very reasonable cost (for 2025). Not your average Indian restaurant. Thank you.

Gurkha Kitchen in Guildford is a casual spot for Nepalese and Indian cuisine. Tandoori lamb momo one of my favourite dishes ever which is praised for its smoky flavor and tender lamb, perfectly spiced with a great balance of heat. The restaurant has a warm, cozy ambiance with Nepalese cultural decor, making it ideal for both casual and special occasions. The staff are highly regarded for their friendliness and attentiveness, contributing to a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience. Will be back soon!!!!!!!

My wife and I just sampled the Kirthon menu and everything we had was simply superb! It is very rare to experience such amazingly tender chicken - in the chicken tikka starter and the speciality main Sylheti Murgh - which were both quite outstanding and delicious. We can also recommend the sheek kebab and the chicken makhani, which my wife had. We have been before, some time ago, but had forgotten quite how good this place is. Well worth going!

UPDATE: Following a not ideal first experience here the management went above and beyond to fix it. They contacted me following my review and offered to provide our entire order again free of charge. We arranged to take them up on this recently and the replacement food was phenomenal! Everyone has an off day sometimes and we clearly caught them on one of those days but the way they went about fixing it is 10/10 and they've created some long term customers out of us. Look forward to returning in the near future. Unfortunate experience trying the restaurant for the first time. Ordered based off the positive reviews, service on collection was really friendly and prompt. Once getting home I noticed we had one curry missing and a side dish was incorrect, being a 15 minute drive from the restaurant it wasn't practical to go back and change. The one curry we had left was quite bland despite being marked as 'touch hot'. The restaurant was very busy so maybe we just caught them on a bad day but having spent £50 for 2 people we were left underwhelmed.

Terrible customer service very rude and abrupt when I rang to make a complaint about how watery the food was it was more like a soup than a curry!! Onion bargee well I have no words!!

Tristemente muy decepcionado. Simplemente se trasladó a la zona y estaba dispuesto a dar a este lugar una oportunidad a través de comida para llevar. Pedido Cordero Naga, pollo Bhuna y mantequilla de pollo y algunos lados que llegaron a aproximadamente £ 70 (debería ser bueno a ese precio). El cordero Naga era graso y el plato estaba lleno de aceite. El pollo Bhuna era 80% cebolla y era idéntico a una salsa Pataks y muy acuoso, y el pollo Butter era en realidad un pollo Pasanda. En general era insípido y muy básico. Esperemos que estos chicos estuvieran teniendo un día libre o el chef normal no estuviera ya que es una pena que este lugar no sea mejor... .. especialmente porque no hay competencia... .. este lugar podría ser increíble.

Everything you expect from a great Indian restaurant or takeaway. Recommended.

It was pretty empty on a Friday night which is never a good sign. Seated which was great, room is pretty nice tbh. Then a wait ….. had to call someone to get drinks. When the waiter asked if Pinot Grigio is the white one I should have known Drinks and poppadoms done and then the wait, asked the waiter who was polite and the walked off. To long then the manager came to take order. Food was ok just a bit bland, definition of average. In essence if hungry it serves a purpose, but can do so much better.

Staff are very unorganised and we felt very rushed. The food is overpriced and not authentic. I am Indian and the food definitely lacked in flavour. Charging £3.25 for a tiny cup of masala chai that was watery is ridiculous. I wouldn’t recommend this place as the price is not worth it.
