Really not very good ! Basic things really ,?like the staff being disinterested in the customers , plates were cold , restaurant was cold , food was average, thali dishes were nothing like the menu suggested. I won’t be rushing back if I’m honest. It’s almost as though they have given up , which is a shame, this place can be excellent on it’s day ????

We have just returned from eating at the Kirthon in East Horsley, we had read the reviews and wanted to experience it for ourselves. Well what can I say…. the food was outstanding, and the staff were very attentive. On arrival we were warmly welcomed, drinks were served promptly and our order taken. We had starters and mains which were very flavoursome and probably the best we have tried (and we have had a lot !) I would highly recommend you try this restaurant, we will certainly be returning. Thank you to all the team at Kirthon.

This place was brilliant, the staff were great and also the food was incredible. I think there was only one point when where I had asked staff for no ice and I got ice in the drink but they were so happy to correct their mistake. Other than that I'd say the experience in total was spot on. When I asked to have it a bit spicy they made sure it was.

We visited as heard from a friend the food was amazing. The food definitely didn’t disappoint! So tasty and the best curry I’ve had! Friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Will definitely be returning!

Located in a small parade of shops close to Horsley train station is this absolute Gem of a Restaurant. We had to visit it on consecutive days because we were blown away by the excellent service, excellent menu and the flexibility of the chef to prepare Vegan meals that didn’t even feature on the menu! We are a mixed group including one Vegan, one Vegetarian, one child but everyone’s diet requirements were not just amply met, they were totally exceeded. We will definitely be back again to sample more delightful dishes and recommend anyone who enjoys this food to visit this culinary delight. Well done Raheem and the Team for the Royal Service and Outstanding Food.

Fantastic service, the most delicious food, the owner Rahim is hands on, remembers everyone’s name and is the perfect host - we love it! Never lets us down whether it’s a couples date night, group of friends or a large parties ..just brilliant!

It has been a while since I visited Kirthon, but was not disappointed! I arrived by train at Horsley train station a few hundred yards from the setting from Guildford on the London line! This meant I could indulge in a beer or two! On...

Gave me the wrong side. Main was a few pieces of chicken tikka floating in what looked like sauce from a jar.

A Sunday evening , no one else was eating in so no atmosphere & no welcome in the waiters manner which continued throughout the meal ! He really made no effort was anarchy with the menus & this was very off putting indeed . Even although the food was ok we won’t return here again , think you need to oversee your waiter ! Very disappointed all round!

Missed our train and they were wonderfully accommodating. Had drinks and sat outside. No pressure for us to finish anytime. Super welcoming and lovely customer service. Thank you

We went to Kirthon for my husbands birthday, we were totally spoilt! They had decorated the table and put banners and balloons around the area. We could not fault the food, service and the staff were so friendly and made us very welcome. We are frequent visitors to the area so we will definitely go back.

Lovely restaurant, managed to fit a group of us in at last minute. Food lovely and service was perfect even though they were very busy. Would visit again!

Saturday night meal with family. We often get a take away but fancied eating out. The tables are very close together and it was uncomfortable as you couldn’t really have a conversation. We were offered a drink and poppadoms - we had almost finished the poppadoms before the drinks came. We then waited 45 minutes for our meal and watched 7 takeaways go out. We tried to get a waiters attention several times to order more drink, but they were too busy. Food came, it was nice, but then we have never in all our years had a complaint with the food here, it’s really good!, but we were board and past hungry when it came. We asked for drinks with the arrival of the food but they never came. After eating we waited 15 minutes for our plates to be cleared, then I asked for the bill, the bill came with the plates still on the table and after 10 mins of waiting to pay I went and paid at the desk. On being asked “how was everything “ I replied it was very poor and slow and I was gasping for a drink so going home. I got a “sorry it’s been busy” but they still took £70 offering no discount.We are locals but will now not go back.

Staying at the local campsite on cycling tour, I had an early dinner. Great food, well presented in a well presented restaurant. Much much better than the price or, frankly , small village suggests. Would have been expected in London at 50% more expensive.

We visit East Horlsey every summer to see family who live nearby - and we always make sure to have a meal at Kirthon. Excellent food. Last week we visited, and it was the best yet. I ordered Chana Saag, and asked for it to be very spicy. It was! But not overwhelming. Perfect. Full of flavor. Honestly, the best saag I have had. The service was also as friendly as always.

It’s now some time since I last ate here but visited on Tuesday and really enjoyed the food. Friendly service and the only ‘downside‘ was that for much of the time we were the only diners.

We have lived in the area for over 10 years. The food is fantastic at The Kirthon and never disappoints. Friends travel to us to go there. However! early evening it did feel like being in the queue behind the takeaway orders. Service was very slow and it was 1 hour before we had any food. Difficult to be too frustrated when it is such amazing quality and staff are friendly but it was a slight let down on an establishment we have always regarded most highly.

Often decent food which rarely disappoints, and a nice ambience. Over the 15 years that i've been there they occasionally let themselves down with details such as credit card machine not working / no coffee / takeaways not ready on time.

This restaurant in my view is the best curry from miles around, I know I'm going to get a great meal at good prices in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Rahim and his team are always on hand with suggestions and great service even when busy. I have been going to the Kirthon for many years and have never had a bad experience, I trust you won't either, enjoy. Best chicken Madras around

We were celebrating our 33 wedding anniversary and what a lovely restaurant to spend the evening in. Both the food and service was spot on. Unfortunately we do not live in the area otherwise we would definitely become regular visitors. Thank to all the staff for a wonderful evening.

Food is very good as has been recently. Was 2nd visit this week but unfortunately service seems to have collapsed. Arrived at the restaurant at 8.50 left at 10.10 - hardly late for an Indian restaurant. Made to feel as if they wanted us gone, only people left in restaurant but table not cleared, dessert not offered made to feel unwelcome - after a £50 plus bill. Such a shame will not be returning. Shouldn't take regulars for granted.

This is our 'go to' place if we want an Indian meal. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is great- the decor is fresh, modern and very clean. The food is completely 5 star- piping hot and beautifully presented, with freshly cooked ingredients. The menu is extensive. It's the best Indian restaurant I know. I love this place.

The Kirthon delivered an excellent buffet for my daughter's 21st birthday party. They came in the afternoon to set up the food heaters, then arrived promptly in the evening with the curries. Having spent most of our lives living in and around the curry centres of the west midlands we feel we know what makes a good curry and this place doesn't disappoint. Fabulous food and attentive service all at a very reasonable price.....we needed somewhere to eat on the way back from the channel tunnel, popped in here after asking a barman up the road where we could eat, it is absolutely fantastic.

We were staying on the camping and caravan club site in East Horsley and who wants to cook Sunday lunch on a hot day when on holiday?!So went to Kirthon for their lunch time buffet. Very nice. We had a warm welcome, I walk with the aid of crutches so usually my husband has to help me at a buffet, not here, the waiter took my plate, said "just tell me what you would like" and looked after me beautifully. The food was varied and delicious and we would definitely visit again when we are next in the area. Thankyou for a lovely Sunday lunch.

The food here is freshly cooked to order and of the highest quality. The Sunday lunch buffet at just £10 per head is amazing value and again all cooked in small batches to maintain its freshness. Highly recommended. Wine is fairly priced and house wines are more than acceptable. £5 for a pint of coke/lemonade is a little expensive so stick to wine!

I went to Kirthon last night and upon arrival the staff and owners were extremely welcoming and were keen to provide a high level of service from start to finish. I had the Lamb Pasanda and my other half had the Lamb Goan which both were excellently cooked and well seasoned. We had starters, main course and desert and all three courses were fantastic.I highly recommend this restaurant for atmosphere, food, drinks and very reasonable on price.We are soon to be return customers and I strongly urge anyone in the local region who fancies good food to visit this restaurant A+++++++++++++++++++

This Restaurant opened in East Horsley many years ago and immediately established a menu which was derived from cooking dishes from scratch using original spices. This differs from many Indian restaurants which might cook a standard curry base and then use different main ingredients to call each dish a separate name. The Kirthon knows that this does not work.They have refurbished the interior recently and modernised it at the same time. It is a nice place to eat or to use as a local takeaway.The staff are very friendly and like light-hearted banter with clients they know well.

The food was the usual high quality from Kirthon. The only disappointment was that the food was not ready at the time that this website had confirmed it would be ready. We arrived at the stated 19:35 collection time but still had to wait almost 20 minutes until the food was ready.

We visited mid-week with friends at the end of March, having last been a number of years ago, and weren't sure we'd done the right thing when there were relatively few people there on arrival, though it filled up later. We all thought the food very good indeed, generous portions, lovely flavours, unbelievably tender chicken and not silly prices. In short an excellent place for a curry, and one of the best locally.
