Were intending to eat at the local pub but they were quite expensive. It was actually cheaper to have a meal and a dink here and glad we did. The food and the service was fantastic and a good price

Nice atmosphere, great food. Alex provided excellent service. Loved the selection of dips with the poppadoms and the curry was flavourful.

Stumbled upon this place as we were in the area for a wedding in the village & staying at the De Vere care home round the corner! Lovely food, we had the sizzling plates which were very tasty & kingfisher on tap. Great, friendly service.

We had the most delicious Indian meal at Yasmin Restaurant. The food and service were both excellent. It was very quiet, not sure if it’s not that well known but we will definitely be back and will also make use of the convenient take-away service.

So so delicious, the fish tikka especially was honestly the best meal we've had at an Indian restaurant, the naans were obviously freshly cooked and perfect, and the other dishes were amazing too. Very lucky to have such an amazing restaurant in this tiny village!

We had our second delivery from Yasmin last night. Absolutely delicious food, not oily at all, beautifully cooked. We had mixed grill, dal makhani, aloo gobhi. This is definitely our go to for Indian food. Can’t wait to have dinner there when everything reopens.

We popped in to order a delivery for later in the evening. Food was incredible and service excellent - on time and friendly. All the family loved their meal - we have 11 & 13 yr old boys and the spice levels were perfect.

We had not tried this restaurant before but as they were offering take-aways during the lockdown period we tried it as we wanted as much variety in food as we could. They do deliveries but we collected ours having ordered it and paid for it over the phone.We were told how long it would be and turning up at the suggested time entered the door. There is a long table blocking the entrance and the bag is placed on the table and pushed arms length toward you, and you also reach out to get it. A very safe way of doing it.The food was hot and good. Chicken Korma, Chick Tikka, Vegetable Madras, Aloo Gobi, Garlic Naan and steamed rice. Most enjoyable.Recommended it o my brother and he was also very pleased.

The welcome was so good, the food absolutely outstanding. Shame we don’t live closer we would be very regular customers. Every dish was full of flavour, truly the best we have ever had. Thank you Yasmin.

Yasmin is getting a reputation locally for the freshly cooked dishes created with the freshest ingredients. The restaurant is small and it would probably be wise to make a reservation. There are all of the usual dishes available plus a list of specialities but the chef is happy to adjust ingredients to your own personal requirements. It appears that every combination is possible because every dish is individually cooked. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will return.

I was working at nearby effingham and my work for the evening was cancelled so I decided to treat myself to a meal here to take back to my hotel to watch the FA Cup match on telly . I had a chicken madras, pilau rice and a keema nan and was also given some popodums too , meal was very good and tasty with good portions and I enjoyed it , in fact this was the 2nd time I had been here and will visit again next time I am in the area , maybe a sit down meal this time o

An epic gastro feast of Indian cuisine .. authentic, subtle, lean and perfectly spiced .. the restaurant may seem unassuming and Low-key, but rest assured the food is truly worth the visit

Came to this restaurant for the first time this evening for a family meal. We loved every dish we had, all tasted delicious. All of the food was hot, and none of it was greasy or oily. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and also very informative about the dishes. We will definitely be back!

A late night visit that was a pleasant surprise. Not the usual curry house, very clean, modern decor, serving good food, service and reasonable priced.

What a terrible experience. The receptionist of the 4* hotel I checked into highly recommended Yasmin so I thought I would give them the custom. I placed the order at 1.40pm (not realising they closed at 2pm until 6pm). The food arrived within 10 minutes - impressively fast (in hindsight obviously because they were just about to close so hurried the order!). On opening - the containers were all half full. Chicken korma - chicken biryiani - vegetable curry for the biryiani - chicken tikka salad. £24. The vegetable curry for the biryiani was not even 1/2 full - 1/3 full at best. I rang straight back at 1.55 and got the answering machine and left a message. I rang back at 6.10pm & spoke to a very defensive man who told me the containers wouldn't have come out 1/2 full! I haven't had a mouthful I said - I can totally prove how full they arrived. I will send a driver to collect the food and give you your money back and how dare you put a euro in with the money he further shouted. It is possible it may have been mixed in with my change - but certainly wouldn't have been intentional - but really? To retaliate with that? He could easily have asked how I wanted it resolved. A replacement meal of hot food and full containers would have sufficed. But no. In his rudeness he insisted on the food back (which will now be thrown away by the restaurant as it's been unrefridgerated for 5 hours now as I'm in a hotel room). His action was seriously not worth receiving a bad review for. I went without lunch as the hotel restaurant was closed by 2pm & is in the middle of the countryside. Disappointing service Yasmin. Sadly can not recommend. The meal came with complimentary poppadoms and dips - a nice addition - before the restaurant accuses me of devouring these free items - unfortunately I'd eaten these before I realised about the mains or they could have had those back too!! Again - 4* hotel with hundreds of rooms and business owners who stay & the receptionist knows all about this unfortunate episode so won't recommend them again. A great shame.

We stayed at the hotel next door and made our way here two nights running. Everything is so fresh yet service is lightning fast. Good wine menu (the rosé by the glass was particularly dry and delicious), perfect garlic naan, bhuna, rogan josh, and jalfrezi curries all fantastic. Lamb was tender and meaty and paneer was cooked to perfection. Portion size is appropriate such that you can enjoy a starter and main without being filled to bursting.

I was just passing through Horsley and stayed the night at the excellent De Vere hotel. I never eat in hotel restaurants as I like to make an effort to explore the areas I find myself in on my travels. The Yasmin restaurant must have a wizard working in the kitchen! I had a simple chicken bhuna - but the taste, the taste! I have never tasted an Indian dish that had so much depth and such balance between the components - I literally dream about the flavour of that simple bhuna even now. Even though I live around 250 miles away from Horsley I will certainly return to relive the experience of the perfect curry

Never been but following a recommendation, I booked a table today for myself, husband and 2 children. We turned up to be greeted by a waiter who just stood staring at us with the most unwelcoming stare. He didn’t speak so I said my name and that i has reserved a table. His response was sharp and only said “today”!!! With much puzzlement, I replied “of course today, why else would we be here”.

First visit since staying at a nearby hotel. Loved the variety of food on the menu and we had a lovely meal. Samosa were great to start. Lamb jalfrezi and Afghani chicken good mains. Service very attentive but a bit quiet early on a Saturday evening. Very much worth a try. <£70 for two incl starters, mains and 4 drinks.

Yasmin is a great restaurant for authentic quality indian food. The dishes are exceptional and the flavours achieved are amazing... Chef has great skill and the service is always friendly and polite.

I've been here multiple times and it's honestly one of the best Indian restaurants I've been too and is very cheap considering the quality of food and service.

So I know Trip Advisor has given us the chance to be Gordon Ramsey type restaurant critics and sometimes I think that it is unfair, because negative criticism can damage a business. Some people moan about the most trivial nonsense.

A disappointing experience. I visited alone on a quiet Sunday evening, apart from two takeaway visitors I was the only customer. Despite the restaurant being empty I was shown to a tiny cramped table. I received only a cursory greeting upon entering with absolutely no welcome or friendly chat whatsoever. The two ‘waiters’ on duty at the time spent the whole time I was there time slouched over the counter looking at their phones adding absolutely nothing to the already non existent atmosphere.

I visited this Indian restaurant tonight and was most impressed by the warm welcome, attentive staff and excellence of the cuisine. The prices were very reasonable.

Really enjoyed our curry and found it decently high quality. Descriptions of dishes were accurate and the food was fresh. Would definitely order again.

I convinced my husband to try a different curry restaurant today and all I can say is never again. This is the first time no one in the family ate there food. The Dhansak has no lentils. The tikka masala was a watery orange korma. The chicken tasted strange and the mushroom bahji was the only way to describe it - rubbery. The only positive was the nan bread and popodums. Definitely not worth the money paid.

We were very pleased to find this restaurant within easy walking distance of the Horsley Estate in East Horsley, Surrey, UK while visiting from the USA.

We decided to come here for our "curry and chat" night rather than our usual Guildford restaurant, and were very impressed indeed! On a quiet Monday evening we were the only customers for most of our meal, but were left in peace; service was polite and quick. The food was superb! They do do the standard British curryhouse fare, but we all opted for the specialities pages of the menu and were very pleased indeed with the taste and quality of our food. It is the first Indian restaurant I have been in which has had dishes whose smell took me back to my neighbours' cooking as a child: a true sign of authenticity, I would say. It was slightly more expensive than our usual haunts, but well worth a few pounds' more, and we all agreed that we will return!

5* We had a takeaway from here but you can also dine in. All of our dishes were lovely and will definitely be using this restaurant again

We have been visiting Yasmin for almost two years now, Harry who owns the restaurant is the consummate host and talented chef. Either for sit down or a take away meal always delicious with very friendly and efficient service.

My partner and I went here for dinner this weekend just gone, it was really good value for money! The service is really good and the food was extremely tasty. We ordered a starter, two mains, rice, nann and wine and it was around £50 for the two of us! Would highly recommend.

A quiet Monday early evening so would expect decent service and food preparation, and we weren't dissapointed.

We stopped at this restaurant before watching a play at the Nomads Theatre. Although I had pre booked there was no record of my booking. This did not matter on this occasion as we were early and there were plenty of tables. Chicken Tikka Madras, Onion Bhaji, Special Rice and Chicken Tikka were all of good quality and tasty. Would certainly return.

This is the fourth time we have dined at the Yasmin, and, once more it has not failed to impress! The dishes are obviously freshly prepared and the flavours are complex and beautifully balanced. Service is efficient and slick, and staff are attentive and courteous.

Visited for dinner with girlfriends mid week. The place was buzzing, with every table taken. Each of our chosen dishes was absolutely delicious. Fresh, interesting flavours. The staff were all very welcoming and I would definitely recommend to others.

Visited Yasmin restaurant on a quiet and cold Monday night at 18:00 as I was staying at the De Vere Horsley Estate which is literally next door to the hotel grounds. I was welcomed by one of the chefs who asked me if I wanted poppadoms which I answered ‘yes’ before being sat down by the waiter. The restaurant was very quiet but it was 18:00 so had only just opened and it was a Monday but this was absolutely fine for me. I ordered a couple of pints of Cobra and had chicken tikka for starter and chicken pathia with pilau rice. The food was amazing and I highly recommend a visit to this place, what a find. I regularly eat Indian food all over the country and this was certainly up there with one of the best I’ve eaten. Staff were very attentive and very helpful. Quite a few people dining when I left and for £30 it was an absolute steal.

I had dinner at the Jasmine. Great Indian food served by kind and attentive staff. Good place if you want to breakout the the Vere next door!

Coming over to visit the Surrey Hills during the Autmun break (October) we visited Yasmin the first time. Having enjoyed both much we decided to re-visit during the Christmas break and as such the Yasmin restaurant. Again we had a lovely dinner with the dishes spiced to perfection! In combination with the friendly staff (taking all effort) in one word: Perfect!

Staying nearby, we were a party of four in need of somewhere to eat within walking distance. We found the Yasmin in a parade of shops and gave it a try. What we found was something unusual: a chef run restaurant that produces food with a unique twist. We were pleasantly surprised and only wish it could be transplanted to where we live!

Stellar service, sterling food, good prices. What's not to like? Nothing!

Had an absolutely superb lunch at Yasmin today. The Sunday buffet has been abandoned in favour of a set menu. There is no written set menu. It took some quizzing to try and find out what was on offer, and then it wasn't all quite as advised. It seems that the chef and the waiter aren't quite aligned. One person served in jeans and a shirt which seemed out of place.

I’ll keep it short and sweet. But this place does great curries, not greasy and has excellent service.

I’d had an excellent take away from here so decided to go to the restaurant with friends. We were not disappointed! Harry the chef came out to introduce himself once we’d sat down. The food and service was outstanding. Highly recommend the chicken naga. Thank you.

I visited last night and the lamb hock was delicious. Excellent friendly service. Visited again this evening and chose the tandoori mixed grill. It certainly didn’t disappoint me. The same friendly service, making you feel welcome.

The driver got lost delivering the takeaway but this shouldn’t have meant that the bread was stone cold and the rest lukewarm.

Great food ,great atmosphere, Friendly staff. Vegetarian curry was just right Light and tasty sauce with the right amount of chilly. The king prawns curry was succulent and tasty. Ll back again.

Ordered a take away from here as a new experience having become disappointed with others in the area. Flavours good but Luke warm even though we collected and drove home (less than a mile) two items missing and given the tepid food not worth ringing to complain not returning to collect. Saying that worth another try as the interior and buzz in restaurant looked, sounded and smelt lovely

We haven't had a curry take away in quite a while as we have not been happy with the quality of the food in the area. However, decided to give Yasmin a try as it had received good reviews. We were very pleased that we did. Not only was the food fresh and delicious, we also received excellent customer service. We collected our food but unfortunately were unaware that we had not been given our full order before we left the restaurant. However, the restaurant called immediately to inform us and arranged for the food left behind to be delivered free of charge, without us even being asked. It came almost as we had arrived back and included a complimentary bottle of wine as an apology. Very pleased and we will certainly make this our new regular takeaway Indian restaurant. This is a great place to eat. Very good quality good that is very well presented. We were staying at a local hotel where the menu was not that great so when here instead. The team look after you well.

What a brilliant restaurant well worth a visit hosted by the very genial Harry and his staff the food is excellent so much better than the run of the mill Indian restaurants the staff will guide you through the menu to ensure you have a memorable meal top class service and attention to detail highly recommended

Went her with colleagues as we were staying the the nearby De Vere estate where the food is quite a limited menu and very ‘meat and two veg’ in style. Decided to go for a curry and Yasmin is a very short walk round the corner.

Arranged a meal for 9 in our newly refurbished church hall and Harry and his team provided a wonderful spread. Nothing was too much trouble. Hot plates included and a very reasonable way to entertain. We were able to spend time with our guests instead of being in the kitchen.

Best curry house around. Amazing food. Amazing ambiance. Amazing service. Highly recommend. We will definitely be visiting again.

I just walked through the door after a visit to Yasmin’s and just had to rave about our meal there. The food was incredible - freshly cooked, so delicious and really welcoming staff including Harry who came to check on us throughout our meal!

We came here tonight on the back of reading some very good reviews and to celebrate my daughters amazing gcse results, as it’s her favourite style of food and we were not let down.

I have been staying in the area over the past few weeks and have visited this restaurant several times. Each time I have tried a different starter but always had the same main course. The service is top class very attentive without being over the top and they will discuss and tailor the dishes however you like. In my case on my first visit I let them know that I thought the Calcutta Naga was not as hot as I expected. On my second visit they asked if I would like it hotter (which I did) and the result was perfect. They said if I visited again I should ask for double Naga and they would then know how to make it for me. It is so perfect for me that I don’t need to try other dishes.

Visited here on Wednesday night and had the most amazing Indian food - some different dishes on the menu as well as standard curries - had the lamb shanks - a very large portion and tasted so good. Service was excellent and what really impressed me was the help I was given by the chef with choosing or adapting dishes for my gluten intolerance. Has taken me a long time to visit here since it has been reinvented but will definitely be back.

The food here is amazing, thanks to Chef-Patron Harry Highlights include lamb Kofta kebabs - smokey with excellent spicing and a taste of ginger. Prawn Puri - absolutely delicious and the Tandoori Mixed Grill which is the best I have ever had

We had a curry delivered - all vegetable dishes. Each was delicous with plenty of content and not just runny sauce. We're looking forward to our next meal.

Well worth a visit. A good range of starters and mains, everything you would expect, plus aloo tikki, a personal favourite starter, and a few specialities. It was late in the lunch opening hours but they were kind enough to accommodate us. Beer available, Cobra, which always goes well with a curry and a good wine list.

Located near the hotel we were staying at, we both felt like an Indian and as the Yasmin had received good reviews, we went there.

Good Food - we arrived earlier than booked, but no problem. Toilets clean and pleasant, but the hand dry towels were Kleenex tissues from a dispenser on the wall - not really absorbent enough!

My wife and I stayed at Horsley Towers, they were unable to accomidate us for dinner in the Hotel so we went to the Yasmin by chance. It was fantastic; excellent food, service and great value. The chef took time out to speak with all the guests which sums up the service you can expect. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Staying in Horsley we decided to try this place mid week. It was quiet but not empty.

The food was excellent. We had a tandoori mixed grill, lamb rogan josh and biriyani to split between four of us. We also had naans, popadums and dips. This was perfect to share between four of use. All dishes were delicious, specifically the biriyani which was particularly fragrant. Prices were reasonable and the toilets were fine and clean.

Working the Derby and needed to get up early so a quick meal in the Indian restaurant next door to where I was staying at 6.30pm.

Went on a Tuesday night and was just the two of us. Food was fab I had a wonderful Tandoori platter. Staff were very attentive and a drink on the house too. East Horsley use your restaurants!!

Took my family to this restaurant couple of days back. I must say i was very impressed with the location and the quality of food which was served to us. Special thanks to the head chef for recommending us a platter of starters which was a mix of veg and non veg items. It had fish amritsari, lamb samosas, chikken tikka. The spices were just perfect.

We followed a recommendation to try this restaurant and were not disappointed. Recently taken over , it has had a makeover which has worked fairly well. It was pretty full on the Friday evening so booking is recommended. Good varied menu and wine list. Not particularly expensive either. Decent toilets. But oh -the noise in the restaurant when busy is pretty loud and tables are close to each other which doesn't help.

I was at De Vere Horsley and we wanted to get a different meal, this was the option that came first, since it was next door to the hotel. The food was just terrific and the chef came to the table to "fine tune" the order to our group. Every single dish was perferct. We paid aprox 25/30 GBP per person but we where like in a Indian wedding!

Went there on a really cold night warmed up by fantastic staff and the best Indian meal We have had for years and we have had a few lol what more can I say thank you

Visited here for the first time tonight but it won't be the last. Food was fresh,flavoursome, reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. Even though we were just ordering takeaway we were made to feel most welcome. Nice to have a drink at the bar while we waited for our food to be prepared. Highly recommended

After years of mediocre Indian restaurants and takeaways in the area, Horsley has finally been blessed with a winner. The others in Horsley and beyond might as well pack up and go home!

We arrived 18 strong including 8 children after a last minute call to the restaurant following a long drive up from Devon. Not only were they able and happy to accommodate us, our food was served at the same time and was delicious. The children had their own table and we're served first and despite the noise and high spirits the staff were attentive to all diners.

Very attentive and good service, on arrival and all during the meal. Managed to just fit us in without book, very busy restaurant. Food was fantastic!

Best Indian curry’s and food, good hospitality with reasonable prices. I can say that if you love Indian cuisine don’t miss this restaurant.

5 stars from me, we had a party arranged for my grand daughter's 1st birthday celebrations. The staff, the service and food all was excellent, brilliant. We and our guests enjoyed to the fullest. Best party ever. Will recommend always.
