Lovely cosy atmosphere in this little gem in Chalfonts, we liked the warm welcome, friendly and attentive service (thanks also to the lovely Richa). Sheik Kebabs and Chicken Biriyani were well cooked so the meat was tasty and tender and not at all over spicy for my Indian pallet. Also good weekend breakfast menu. Definitely recommended to check out at least once!

I’ve been a regular customer of this restaurant, ordering takeaways for quite some time, but I finally had the chance to visit in person recently, and I’m so glad I did! The food was absolutely amazing. Every dish was bursting with flavour and cooked to perfection. What really stood out, though, was the incredible service. The staff were very friendly, polite, and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. It’s rare to find such a welcoming atmosphere, and it made dining there truly special. Overall, my visit was a wonderful experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back more often with friends or family. Highly recommend it!

Best curry in Chesham by a country mile. Food is always fresh and hot with great flavour. Service is good and prices are some of the cheapest in the area. Never had a bad curry from here and i must have used them over twenty times in the past copuple of years.

A very welcoming pub. The staff were very attentive and happy to please. The open fire was lovely and the garden will be lovely when the weather improves

Situated in the quiet, chocolate box high street of Great Missenden, the New Akash is a popular dining choice of the locals. Like an Indian time machine, you could have eaten here any evening from the late 80s to the present and had the exact same experience of very traditional British Indian food.

Stopped off to pick up a takeaway. Was a big disappointment. Chicken karahi was 6 bits of chicken tikka thrown into a base gravy with some peppers. Zero taste. Sheekh kebabs had no seasoning and tasted of nothing. Naan was good. Sorry to say, first and last time ordering from here.

Popped in here after a quick bit of local research following a visit to Hughenden Manor a few miles away. Turned out to be a good choice. Very nice Chicken Naga and Veggie Jalfrezi. Reasonable prices and a complimentary drink at the end. We were quite early, so it was a bit quiet.

We popped in with our children for an early dinner on a Friday night. Despite being early still busy enough to have an atmosphere! Food was delicious (we’ve had excellent takeaway several times) they were lovely with the children - making sure they liked their curry. Service was attentive and friendly. Will definitely head back

A menu came through our door so we decided to give it a try having seen good reviews on here. The food was very disappointing. A watery daal, the chicken tikka massala also came in a thin and unappealing sauce, no mango chutney was provided for the poppadoms. The tandoori mixed grill was average at best. Good to try something different but unfortunately the food was poor and we won't be coming back.
