First time we have tried a curry from here, and we were very impressed. Ordering was easy on line, and was ready to collect when we arrived. We ordered onion bhajis, a simple ct massala, rice and poppadoms. The poppadoms were crispy, the onion bhajis were the best we have ever had, the rice was fluffy and the ctm was different and extremely tasty. Definitely recommend

Excellent food, friendly service and quick takeaway delivery. We've used Holmer Green Chilli a few times and it's always been great. And the best onion bhajis I've ever had!

If you like it hot then Holmer Green Chilli is one to try out. Opted to go for a chicken curry and it was brilliant.

Really happy with Holmer Green Chilli, consistency and quality are key for me and after several meals they have not disappointed us. No silly freebies which we all know we pay for one way or another. The menu is varied but not in the ‘you hum it we will try and cook it’ kind of way that many make the mistake of thinking is the thing to do. My meals from here have always been well made, as described and delivered or collected piping hot temperature wise. They have a good website that even I can navigate. But not forgetting the fact the food is good. This is a reliable takeaway.

Food was far less than average. The sag paneer was the worst I've eaten, gritty, virtually no cheese, and little taste. Both naans were like cardboard, and the keema had virtually no filling. Tarka dhal was bland, madras was watery, and every takeaway dish was half full. Not an issue because none of us would have gone back for seconds, but as a takeaway, it was far less than average bordering on poor. Won't be ordering again.

Best curry around! Always comes super quickly and piping hot! Tastes very fresh and you get a good lot of veggies in the veg based dishes! Great options for vegetarians!!

Absolutely delicious! The ingredients were fresh and perfectly cooked. It's the best Jalfreze I have ever eaten! What a shame I live the other side of London as this would be a weekly treat!

Not very nice food at all burnt onion bajis overcooked inedible chicken sag aloo so spicy wasn’t able to eat will never order again!! Just eat not able to help with refund after being sent photos of food in the bin 😡

Sorry guys but you were not up to your usual standard with my meal this evening. The chicken was so burnt and dry it must have been cooked a week ago last Tuesday. Very disappointing.

Only 10 mins late. Thats fine. More to the point, loved the food. Will buy from again.

Was visiting family near them and ordered delivery of 4 different curries, took half an hour longer than stated was mostly sauce very little meat for the price not good value as compared to other takeaways had on this trip

Naan bread was stale, chicken for the chicken tikka was try but food came hot and quickly, wouldn’t order again

Only the 2nd time of ordering from here but food was delicious as the first time, it was on time and whilst a starter was missing it was sorted immediately and they were very apologetic will definitely be ordering again

Unfortunately, the dishes with sauces. Eg pathia of balti have over the last few orders declined in taste. They just seem to be very similar and also the chicken has become rubbery indicating a drop in quality. The shaslik are still good still.

Ordered for my wife's 40th in lockdown and needed a co-ordinated delivery to 3 different addresses so we could eat together on zoom. They couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Worked perfectly, food was (as always!) fantastic and have used a number of times since and been really happy every time.

If i had to sum up holmer green chilli with one word i would chose, excellence. I've lived in the area for 15+ years and somehow have never been inside the doors of this restaurant before and for my first ever experience with them, i can whole heartedly say this place deservers the reviews it has, amazing food, friendly polite staff. As a first time customer i had meat somas which were fantastic, pilau rice again fantastic and to top it over chicken tikka masala which I thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend 5/5. Conah

Just had a delicious take away from this place. It arrived just before our allocated delivery time slot, large portions full of flavour and the food was piping hot. Highly recommend it!

Maybe it was a bad night but takeaway was not very enjoyable. The chicken and lamb were both very rubbery and all the dishes we had were tasteless compared to other places we have used. It's a shame because it is very local but it was disappointing.

I don't eat curry as a takeaway that often, but the ones I've had from Holmer Green Chilli have all been very good. The thing I particularly like is that you can see and taste the difference between dishes - a place I used to go to appeared to use the same three curries, distinguished only by spiciness, for everything. So, for example, a madras was indistinguishable from a jalfrezi, or a balti was indistinguishable from a dupiaza. Anyway, not so here. And all uniformly good, with small touches like a sprig of something fresh on top. Very nice.

Always a good take away and with their new app and delivery, its all very simple and the food is great. BEST takeaway/delivery around.

I previously wrote a review giving the restaurant 4 stars as the meat was a bit rubbery. I have to say I have now tried a couple more times with delivery and the food has arrived in good time, hot and everything was very good so think that my previous was a one off. I will ordering more often.

We have struggled to find a consistently good Indian takeaway in the local area for some time, but our first takeaway from Holmer Green Chilli was delicious. Tasty and piping hot, with a nice, varied menu, a little different than most takeaways. Ordering via an App is also very handy. Great service too. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back soon .

We normally go out for a curry but during lockdown we had a few takeaways from Holmer Green Chilli and they were all great!! Will definitely continue to get food from them. They have some really different things on the menu if you want to try something new eg. the lamb shank and the Murghi masala - can highly recommend. Really easy now you can order on their app too!

Just picked up a takeaway, and hands down it's THE best in the area. The food is so flavoursome and authentic, very very happy. Be careful, the masala popadoms are addictive!

We tried this restaurant and were very pleased with how good the food was, having been a customer of the previous owners the expectation was set at that and this exceeds the quality very much The food was well cooked, very tasty but a little oily. Didn't distract from a great meal though

Fab curry, Tikka masala and Korma, Peswami Nan, rice. Loads of sauce. Plenty for 2 with some left over. Lovely.

I ordered from here one evening. Poor service waiting area full of old sick relatives coughing all the time. Food very poor no taste or flavour very expensive for what you got. A microwave meal from the spar shop taste better. I won't be returning

I have tried this a few times as local. the flavours are pretty good but the meat was very tough on the last two occasions and very chewy. The service is friendly and very happy to change dishes of for me to order off menu. I love Sag Gobi which is not on most menus but very happy to accommodate and was very good.

It has been just over a year since the opening of the “Holmer Green Chilli”, the Bengali take-away at the previous location of Eastern Flavours. Since the transformation it has been my regular Friday night indulgence. The family-run business is slick and professional but definitely not lacking in a friendly personal touch. The premises are spotless, as evidenced by a top hygiene rating of 5. Most important of all however is the quality of the food. My regulars are prawn vindaloo or prawn jalfrezi with mushroom fried rice. The quality is consistently high and the exciting flavours vary slightly from week to week – presumably reflecting what fresh ingredients are available at the time. My wife is more adventurous, usually choosing a selection of starters and side dishes. We’ve never had anything that wasn’t bursting with flavour and available exactly at the time promised when ordered on the ‘phone. We will keep coming back for more every Friday we are in the country!!

My first visit to this curry takeaway. A smaller menu than usual but this is definitely a bonus.

This was the first time I came here since new ownership I came to the original take away and didn’t like the food, so was a bit dubious coming here.

Elected to try this out having received a menu with a 25% offer through the door, and not being too far away (they don't currently deliver). The service was friendly and efficient - I'd ordered early and asked for it to be ready to collect later at a specific time, and it was ready at that time. Now to the food - fantastic! I had the lamb Naga Morich, and for me it was perfect - not ridiculously hot but plenty hot enough, and absolutely packed full of flavour. My wife said the same about her Dansak. The rice dishes we had were lovely too, clearly a high quality Basmati base, one Green Chilli rice (which will for now on be my regular), and one Mushroom Fried rice (wonderfully fresh and not at all greasy which can sometimes be the case. We also had Bombay Aloo and Sag Paneer which were both excellent. All in all - top marks! This will now be our venue of choice, apart from on those days when really only a Delivery will do.

Thought I would give this a try after the new owners took over from Eastern Flavours. Very fresh ingredients (Okra) and wonderful and generous onion bajis (sorry about spelling). Well-priced and will be back soon.

Amazing food that just keeps getting better and better! We get a curry most weeks and each dish is very tasty and different. Not long to wait for the food and accurate collections times. Would highly recommend this place to everyone

Best Indian take away in the area! Being Indians ourselves, we are very fussy with Indian takeaway and I never ever write reviews. But the food was best we ever tasted in this area and we have been here for the past 5 years!!!!!! So good! You are missing out if you haven’t tried it yet!
