Visited this lovely Indian restaurant in Amersham today for a breakfast buffet. It was a delightful experience. Very authentic South indian spread and delightful misal pav and chole bhature. They had amazing gulab jamuns for dessert. The ambience was nice and cosy. The manager Arvinder was very courteous and helpful. Plenty of free parking available. They also have a well stocked bar. Can’t wait to visit them again to try the dinner.

A very welcoming pub. The staff were very attentive and happy to please. The open fire was lovely and the garden will be lovely when the weather improves

Situated in the quiet, chocolate box high street of Great Missenden, the New Akash is a popular dining choice of the locals. Like an Indian time machine, you could have eaten here any evening from the late 80s to the present and had the exact same experience of very traditional British Indian food.

Stopped off to pick up a takeaway. Was a big disappointment. Chicken karahi was 6 bits of chicken tikka thrown into a base gravy with some peppers. Zero taste. Sheekh kebabs had no seasoning and tasted of nothing. Naan was good. Sorry to say, first and last time ordering from here.

We popped in with our children for an early dinner on a Friday night. Despite being early still busy enough to have an atmosphere! Food was delicious (we’ve had excellent takeaway several times) they were lovely with the children - making sure they liked their curry. Service was attentive and friendly. Will definitely head back

A menu came through our door so we decided to give it a try having seen good reviews on here. The food was very disappointing. A watery daal, the chicken tikka massala also came in a thin and unappealing sauce, no mango chutney was provided for the poppadoms. The tandoori mixed grill was average at best. Good to try something different but unfortunately the food was poor and we won't be coming back.
