The best restaurants serving Indian food in North East

Delusional pricing. Came for lunch and ordered 2 lunch specials and I had to go off the main menu. Got the final bill and found that I had been charged £5 for a basic bowl of rice, the same rice as the “lunch special” that was part of that meal. That’s annoying but the drinks were the biggest mick take, £6 for a fruit shoot and a small glass of water with a dash of organge cordial. Absolute rip off. No children’s menu so ended up paying £15 for a child’s meal. The food is decent enough but I won’t be back after that experience.

Great food, busy and good value.

Distinctly average takeaway. We were disappointed. Curries didn't really taste of anything. Meat was chewy. Mint sauce very watery. Time for delivery and the rice was OK.

Our first visit and a local recommendation. Yes it was a Saturday night and it was busy but sadly, as we had a taxi booked, our meal took so long to arrive, we had to rush it. The food was great it’s just a shame we couldn’t fully enjoy it. We allowed a good hour and 45 mins and only had a popadom plate to start then a main course, we felt this was sufficient time. Food was good enough to go back, hopefully on a quieter night when we can fully appreciate it.

Great find, we’re up in Northumberland for a week, drove into Morpeth and this had parking and best reviews. Reviews were right, an amazing curry, extremely flavoursome, bit of a kick which is just how we like it. Usual favourites on the menu and some Bengal specials. You can see why it’s won so many awards - only here a week but might go back

Hemos pedido algunas comidas para llevar que hemos recogido nosotros mismos y mi marido ha comido en un par de veces también. Nada es un problema. Servicio con una sonrisa, he tenido la puerta abierta para mí y ofrecido bebidas mientras esperamos. La comida es muy buena, lo mejor que hemos tenido en mucho tiempo. Muy fresco y lleno de sabor. No pediría una comida para llevar desde ningún otro lugar ahora.

Indian gem in Newbiggin by the sea. Really delicious meal -all our courses were fresh and tasty, accompanied by light nan and perfect cucumber raita. Very friendly service and staff. Will definitely come again with friends and family.

Absolutely outstanding, flavours were amazing

This was the monthly stop on our curry club for May. What a choice. The food was excellent with a great choice on the menu, all of the classics you expect to see but some really good options in the chefs specialities section. The gents running the show on the night were fantastic hosts, making sure we had everything we needed and having good craic with the group. Highly recommend this place.

Ordered in. Quick delivery. Lamb chilli masala and a south Indian with keema nanns. Only place we use eating in or out . Best Indian food by far in Hartlepool. Friendly lovely people.

I have been coming to the Kashmir for as long as I can remember due to this being my Dads favourite restaurant/takeaway and now it is mine and my families too. We have ate in and we get takeaways on a regular basis. We have never tasted better anywhere else we have tried. The best staff. My Dad loved them all ❤️

We had previously had a decent meal from here before but unfortunately this time, despite the order being delivered hot, in time and the driver being pleasant we both felt very disappointed with our respective meals. We tend to eat our meals before commenting but our opinion was the same. Sorry, but feel let down.

This place is disgusting.. We thought we would chance it again after my partners dad found a screw in the curry, yes a screw, that was a few years back . So ordered a meal tonight only because of the cheep deals they have on and found a long woman's hair in the chips not a happy experience. I would avoid unless you want a nice suprise in your food. I called them and they offered me a free bag of chips next time I order
