The best restaurants serving Indian food in North East

Had a great family meal here, my wife said her Lamb Roghan was the best she has had.

Had a lovely curry in here with my work colleagues, portions are big so choose with care!

The food is so tasty and lovely.

We went 29th October on a Tuesday night. We were the only 4 people in there. The food was amazing, and tasted wonderful. I have had quite a few Indians playing cricket all over the country and this was a good one! We were even treated to some free Brandy’s!

Ordered and paid over phone for delivery and told c. 1.5 hour wait time if not sooner. Nearly 2 hours l8r had to ring to be told they were busy and food not ready. Went to collect. Food okay this time, but last order not so, with overcooked rock hard onion bhajis and seemed short on other elements/mains. Reminds me of Jubilee, Crawcrook, some years back and Jashn, Swalwell, recently, getting greedy taking too many orders and not delivering in every sense. Here son, have a can of pop as consolation.

Came piping hot, absolutely gorgeous food and great customer service. They even chucked a couple freebies in making it even better

Excellent food, we ordered Prawn Dupiaze, Chicken Jalfrezi, Mushrooms Pilau Rice & Garlic n Cheese Nan bread. Very good value and tasty.

Amazing food, great portion sizes. Will definitely return.

Disappointed tonight. Ordered king prawns hariali....small prawns, sauce totally different to usual harialis...usually green made with plenty of spinach, cream and garlic. This was a brown flavourless sauce. Chicken Jalfrezy also not great very bland. Garlic rice quite greasy.

Racism!! When we went to the restaurant for dine-in manager told rudely you are not allowed to sit here. He said we are full and we don’t have any space for you. But in real whole restaurant was vacant and when I showed my booking that guy told this is an English restaurant and I can’t offer you seat. Even when we asked for take away and try ordering food. He denied saying we won’t take any food order request from you. If you want to order better order via any food delivery app. They disrespect there customer’s. I would suggest not to visit this restaurant

Ordered Lamb Bhuna and pilau rice. Ordered at 5.15 with Just Eat. Expected 30 min delivery, arrived at 7pm. Food was just warm, rice was more like uncooked boiled rice.

We have been using this takeaway for over 20 years , absolutely excellent again tonight and thoroughly recommended. Thank you Standard .
