The best restaurants serving Indian food in North East

placed an order on their website. money taken. order never fulfilled and when i rang the resteraunt they just said “website problem today website problem you cancel cancel plz” and i said i cannot cancel it because the order has been placed and the payment taken so there is no option on the website to cancel. to which he just replied “website problem, you cancel” so i told him again its not for me to cancel, if they cannot fulfill the order they need to cancel it and refund me. he just put the phone down on me. i rang back and said they had taken my payment and he just put the phone down. please please do not place an order with these guys. they will happily rip you off and assume zero responsibility!

Food was delicious. The people that work there were very pleasant. Such a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be going back . Thank you.

Last night, we had an amazing time at this restaurant. The food service and atmosphere were fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed every part of our meal. The wine was great, and our starters were delicious, especially the Kathi Roll. For mains, we highly recommend trying the Zeeras Kitchen specials. We opted for the Hariyali Murgh and were not disappointed. Overall, it was great value for money considering the standard of food and wine.

There are enough old favourites together with newer speciality dishes here to satisfy most connoisseurs of Indian cuisine. In this reviewer's experience, the uniformly high standard of food and pleasant surroundings make it one of the best subcontinental dining experiences in the city, offering both excellent value for money and a wider choice of dishes than some trendier establishments. Although the decor perhaps lacks a few authentic flourishes, this allows one to focus on what really matters and the courtesy of the staff can't be faulted.

Partner got food poisoning after eating the chicken pizza on Saturday lunch time. Didn’t have anything else before or after so has to have been the reheated meat on the pizza. The two young girls at the till were unfriendly when ordering, made it very clear they didn’t want to be there and drinks were forgotten and had to ask for them. Wouldn’t go back 😬

Got a take away from here because the Spice Lounge in Bishop was closed - big mistake. One of the worst curries ever - stale poppodoms and greasy curry. Goan chicken went in the bin …. absolutely horrible. Will not be ordering from here again.

I orderd chicken tikka masala 6 small pieces of chicken tray full of red sauce 3 onion barji smaller than golf balls horrible beware don’t use 16.00 down the drain

Came here last night (25.04.25) for my boyfriends birthday on the Curry Train. From start to finish it was fantastic. Lovely attentive staff & great food! Thank you all :)! Will definitely be returning for my birthday in June.

Very expensive. Certainly won't be coming back.
