ROYAL King of Spice in Darlington

Excellent food, we ordered Prawn Dupiaze, Chicken Jalfrezi, Mushrooms Pilau Rice & Garlic n Cheese Nan bread. Very good value and tasty.

Hands down best Indian in Darlington, Starter, Main Course, Nan Rice and side dish for £16 can't go wrong here.

I have been using Royal for a couple of months now mainly for small orders but this is never a problem for them, small or large orders are no issue. The food has never failed to be delicious, fresh and always delivered by such friendly drivers. I highly recommend using them as they are also priced very competitively compared the enormous amounts of other Indian takeaways and restaurants that swamp Darlington. Thank you Royal! Laura.

Ordered through Darlo eats and the food was unbelievable this is now my favourite by far. Everything was bursting with flavour. All the ingredients were premium the prawns were more like butterfly prawns which for the price is exceptional. If your looking for a great priced and unbelievable curry this is the place to go 10/10 👌 Just need to add saag paneer to the menu 👍

My first takeaway from here and it was excellent in taste and value!! £13.50 for starter, main, rice, bread, side dish and popadoms .......... incredible. The portions are very large and the curry is well spiced and I will definitely be ordering from here in future.

To be fair we ordered a takeaway and it was amazing, portions are big we have enough for another meal. It was delicious we will definitely use them again 😋

Ordered delivery through an app as it promised 35-40 minutes for delivery. 2 hours, 2 phone calls and giving directions to the driver later, our food arrived. Bland tikka mix and an oily bhuna with chilli heat off the charts. Prawn puri was also ridiculously spicy. Won't be ordering here again & I do not recommend.

The Munch Box Specials or Royal Box are great value and feed 2 people amply. This is the most piquant Indian takeaway I've tried. Although initially a little put off by a low food hygiene rating, the food is appetisingly presented and well cooked. Ordering mid-week, the food isn't always quite so good, but not poor. Takeaway delivery (via a food app) is prompt on most occasions. The curries are delicious although the food would appeal most to those who can tolerate a lot of hot spices. Overall good value but curries can be skimpy in the amount of meat they contain. Definitely a go to tandoori takeaway.

Zero food hygiene rating just check the ratings out for yourself should be closed down by Darlington council

Tried this place for the first time today. Easily the best tasting Indian takeaway I’ve ever been to. Great quality, quantity and price. Paid £17 for the tally box + spicy chips for 2 people. We can put some food away but we couldn’t manage this, would easily feed a family of 4. Picture below is what was left. We will be back regularly.

There foods prices are really reasonable. Dishes are very delicious specially the Munch Box and spicy chips so Yummy. Thanks Royal King of spice.

One of the best Indian food takeaways in Darlington and even Middlesbrough. Specialty of them is that they know the exact amount of salt, spice and herbs that should be added to a proper Indian meal. Every flavour and spice in their foods are on point, not less or not too much. Highly recommended and most importantly they have reasonable prices and generous portions.

Got takeaway food from here and it was absolutley delicious. So much flavour. Would reccomend definitely. Will be ordering again soon

Service perfect always arrives nice n hot ,by far best in town

Hands down the best curry I've had in Darlington. I can recommend the achari, jalfrezi balti and the shashlik balti. Nicely spiced (I normally need to ask for it with extra chilli, but not here). Even the korma is tasty (I had some leftovers for breakfast the next day😂).

Delivery through lockdown. Great quality and excellent portions. Quick delivery only 30 mins. One of the best garlic Naans i've ever had.
