The best restaurants in North East

An amazing experience. Robin is an outstanding host and the food was out of this world. We celebrated our ruby wedding anniversary here and it made a memorable occasion even more memorable. We spent time looking at all the animals, emu, highland cattle to name a few. The best time was in the Obbit house where we listened to great music and laughed all night. Excellent!

I reviewed this place last year and mentioned how difficult food is for coeliac sufferers, well now there's even more selection. Sausages, pizza, curry sauce, scotch egg, chocolate cake, cheese cake, trifle. We had another huge and delicious meal at a fantastic price. Recommended.

The worst Patmos I have ever had.

Love it here. Amazing service as always. The coffee shop is part of the Huegh Battery Museum so all for charity. Hugh Battery Museum is spectacular. A great piece of Hartlepool history. Great bacon butties. Great coffee, great cakes. My dog loves it here. Especially the doggie sausage. She can try the ice cream in the summer. Only moved here late last year. This was an amazing find. Park nearby. Walk the headland then have coffee and cake. Or if early enough a bacon butties for a late breakfast. Just a shame closes December to February but will be a regular visitor at the weekends.

This is now our go to place to grab a spot of lunch and at present the highlight of our day. The fillings are tasty, salad crunchy plus the staff are all fabulous. Try it……

Had a lovely lunch here today with my parents. Food very tasty and fresh. Love the quirky interior and the owner is very welcoming. Great to find a new place to lunch close to home. Will definitely be returning. Looking forward to trying the homemade tiramisu next time. Excellent value.

Dropped in after seeing the gorgeous gifts in the window, had the most amazing hot chocolate and cake!!! The gifts there are so individual, we bought a few different greetings cards and Christmas decorations…but could have spent hours looking at the many unusual gifts there. Will definitely be back again! The staff were so friendly, the store was cosy, with settees and low tables, perfect for hiding away with a hot chocolate.

We loved our evening in Coxon and Coxon. Superb choice of wines and very reasonably priced. We shared a charcuterie platter…..delicious. The staff are very relaxed and friendly . We will be back!

We went to The Pot House at the Headland in Hartlepool for a couple of drinks last night and decided to get a pizza from these lads who are currently based in the outdoor area. These pizzas are the best I've ever tasted. They are stone baked to perfection and the toppings are fresh and top quality. I can honestly say that no other takeaway or restaurant pizza have ever come close! You have to taste them to believe it. Highly recommended 😘👌🍕🍕

A fabulous little gem of a café, serving excellent and inexpensive food, by owners who genuinely care about their people and their pets. So many cafes come and go in Washington, and many are ridiculously overrated... But CafeK9 is a place that I feel will be there for some time to come. It is unpretentious but unique in what it offers (meals and events for the dogs, for example), and nothing is too much trouble for these lovely people. CafeK9 is very much an underrated hidden gem, that needs to be found and enjoyed. You don't need to take your dog to appreciate the ambiance - but it helps if you like them!

Three of us went to Pie Jackers before a Boro home game. We were greeted by friendly staff. They offered a range of locally sourced home made pies with mash and mushy peas. Two of us had game pie - a special of the day and our friend had chicken. Excellent food and supplemented by some interesting local ales. Great value! We are certainly going back.

Recently moved back to the area and have been here 3 times. This place really is superb and deserves every 5 star review it gets. Freshly cooked fish and great chips and cooked while you wait or by phone order. Sets a very high standard, hence the queues and the phone that never stops ringing. We love it - a real treat.

Can't help who comes through the door as some other idiot seems to think 🤔 My favourite place to go for a cuppa tea and a breakfast or a breakfast bun.

Every time I get a Chinese takeaway from their place. They really do deliver a high end product. Amazing food tonight. And the food is always piping hot Job well done…👍
